The Best Wine Bars In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Peyrassol West is a lively, family-run wine bar in a Normandy Park strip mall that serves great small plates alongside a list of well-curated pours. Besides the usual charcuterie and cheese boards, there’s a hearty boeuf bourguignon and a tasty crepe stuffed with crab meat and shrimp. It’s a great place to share dishes on a third date, or sidle up to the bar solo with a glass of smooth Oregon pinot as you listen to the pleasant hum of the dining room. In a lot shared with a UPS Store and QFC, it feels like you’ve suddenly escaped to Walla Walla." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

We had a fabulous meal in a lovely bistro setting that’s not often found on the Highline. Everything came out in the perfect succession and the service was highly exceptional. We love the menu because there’s a little bit of everything whether you wanna eat big or enjoy some plates with a great glass of wine. We ended up ordering a bunch of plates and shared, and it didn’t go anywhere near breaking the bank. We tried both the cocktails and wine and were quite satisfied. Don’t sleep on the specials as we ordered from that menu and it was some of the stuff we love the most! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the things we passed up on the menu, I just have to know now :-)

Charming wine bar with awesome small dishes. I loved the atmosphere and service here, very friendly, cozy, yet elegant. The food was the big takeaway though. We had the lasagna which had a deliciously rich mushroom flavor and the beef bourguignon which while not as much red wine flavor as I was anticipating was nonetheless delicious and worth revisiting time and again to get. We also had their lobster bisque which was very velvety and flavorful. The one thing that could've been improved for us was wine by the glass. Usually a bottle is a bit too much for us, so we rely on the by-the-glass menu to pick and most of the glasses were pretty middle-of-the-road or on the softer side. Regardless, we are eager to head back soon. Prices were super reasonable for the quality. Really enjoyed our evening.

We had a brilliant dining experience tonight, delish! delish! delish! 😋😋 We had the Beef Bourguignon with Polenta and Piadina both dishes were excellent! Not to forget the scrumptious strawberry rhubarb cream desert! Say no more!

Holy moly, have I been sleeping on this place, it's unassuming from outside. Great wine selection, super friendly staff. I got the slow-roasted steelhead(absolutely gorgeous plating, by the way) my partner got the beef bourguignon. We ended up getting dessert (the plates are small but I was also maybe just starving from getting off a 12 hour kitchen shift myself) Super cute and classy inside. The dried flowers were a nice little touch. We'll be back. It's dangerously close to our house!

We did the wine flight and loved it. Each wine was unique and different. The wedge salad and caprese were delicious. We shared the beef bourguignon and it was one of the best dishes we’ve had in years. Highly recommend.

Peyrassol is our absolute favorite place to dine. Scott and Sachia have created an amazing dining experience with fabulous food and wine, an exceptional staff, and an intimate, yet friendly environment. I would rate Peyrassol 10 stars if I could!

What a gem in an otherwise ordinary strip mall. Charming, warm atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Attentive service. And delicious food. The house salad is simple and perfect. The wine was chilled to perfection. The pavlova dessert was heavenly. I can’t wait to go back.

Super cute neighborhood spot with great food and drinks. Hubby and I went for a Friday date night. Casual spot with an elevated interior and dining experience. We had the lasagna and the beef bourguignon- both were excellent! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great evening! Great food! Great service! Lots of wines to choose from and the server gave a great recommendation. Had the special soup, Forged Mushroom that was excellent.

Yelp
This is a very welcome addition to the food and beverage scene in and around Normandy Park. It's a small, 28-seat place sandwiched between the Pizza Hut and Normandy Park Pets and, as of this writing, does not have a big sign up yet. Despite that, the place was nearly full on Friday night when my wife and I popped in for a glass of wine and some nibbles. Our server, Krissie, came over shortly after the hostess Emma Jean (her daughter) seated us and brought water and silverware. The wine selection is several notches above most of the restaurants in the area with offerings from Spain, Italy and others complementing a few carefully chosen domestic wines, with prices I'd describe as very reasonable. We chose a Bodegas La Cana Albarino and a Gini Soave Classico, both whites, to accompany rosemary cashew bar nuts and the Peyrassol house olives. Could not have been better. On a prior visit, I enjoyed a charcuterie board with cabernet from Washington state and enjoyed both. They also have antipasto and salads, small plates and desserts. I would describe Peyrassol West as upscale but still friendly and accessible. It can get a little loud when it's busy but there's a great vibe to go along with the great food and drink. I encourage you to give them a try!

Yelp
A year ago Peyrassol closed in Renton. At that time my heart was heavy because Peyrassol had been my neighborhood restaurant - the place I went to regularly for years and would have been there for many more had Sachia and Scott had their way. Now Peyrassol has return with a new twist! Located in the Burien / Normandy Park area, in a strip mall being neighbors with QFC and Pizza Hut Peyrassol West has opened. Peyrassol West shares a few traits with its predecessor - it still has Sachia's delectable menu and Scott's assortment of wine. It still is a French / Italian influence and the food is excellent. The location is much smaller than Peyrassol was and Peyrassol wasn't very large. This isn't a restaurant I could envision bringing a group. It is small and petite, more structured for couples than groups. There are two four tops and two larger tables and then all the rest are meant for two people. There is a bar! Peyrassol didn't have a bar so Peyrassol West having a bar is nice! I didn't sit at the bar, but I know I will one evening. All this to say reservations are encouraged. The decor is simplistic and minimalist - the vibe is more wine bar than intimate restaurant. The food is all small plates. Now, I am not going to knock small plates. It is actually nice to be able to order appropriately sized meals. My friend had the wild foraged mushroom soup and he loved it! I ordered the lasagna and it was super - wage thin noodles, cheese, meaty goodness. For me, it was the perfect size. Then we split the raspberry upside down cake and it was amazing! Sweet, fluffy cake, perfectly moist, absolutely delicious. If small bites mean more of Sachia's pastries than count me in! Only drawback that I experienced was how loud it became. When we first arrived it was at 70% capacity and was loud but I still could hear my friend and him me. By the time we left it was at 95% capacity and my friend couldn't hear me any longer. They may benefit from curtains or fabric hangings for some material to absorb the noise levels. Peyrassol West opened for its soft opening. There isn't any official looking signs out front yet, but you can find them between the Pizza Hut and Paws in the Park.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing! EXCELLENT FOOD, great beer and wine, and awesome service. I'm so glad they opened near me! I will be back to enjoy wine and snacks with my girlfriends, and definitely more dinners with my husband. We had NYE dinner here last night, and I am blown away by the food. PATE IS RIDICULOUSLY GOOD, as well as the gougeres and the desserts. I told our waitress, that was the best pavlova I've ever had - seriously! Great atmosphere; relaxed and thoughtful.

Yelp
Fabulous food, homey neighborhood vibe, and incredible staff. A very, very special place! One of our faves.

Yelp
Peyrassol West is a fun addition to NP and hoping this review will be helpful to both the owners and guests! They did a great job of making the space tasteful and cute which was a big job in a grocery store strip mall, but they pulled it off. There are nice glass and bottle wine selections as well as some options for those wanting a cocktail. The food is good, but here is where the feedback is important ... the portions are TINY. Yes, this is a small plate wine bar - I get it. But there are several in Seattle who do a wonderful job and you pay less and get more. I think there needs to be some work on finding this balance a bit better at Peyrassol West. I really want them to succeed in this location, so this will be key. I wish I could give 3.5 stars for this reason, so I'm giving 4 because the staff is great, the food is good, the space is cute, but please read and see if you can tweak the menu so guests don't have to spend a decent amount and still leave hungry when there are some wonderful Burien restaurants where the price of an entree is the same for a very small plate here. We all want you to succeed!

Yelp
I've been here twice with friends, and both visits were amazing. The food is delicious! The owners are nice people, and the service is impeccable. I enjoy sitting at the bar and watching Frank prep each dish is magical. It's a cozy space and reservations are mostly required.

Yelp
From the moment we showed up to the moment we left we had nothing short of an awesome time!! We thoroughly enjoyed engaging with our server and the owners and we told them how much we've missed them at Southport. We waited a long time for them to reopen, we were so happy to see it come to fruition. I had to order the beef bourguignon, it is so good and it's been awhile since I've had theirs, it did not disappoint! We also had the charcuterie with meats, cheese and bread, it was all so good. We ordered the olives since one out of four of us liked olives and believe it or not, we all enjoyed the olives . I definitely recommend this restaurant, we felt welcome from the moment we stepped inside.
