We were exploring the Market Commons area around lunchtime when we came across this restaurant and decided to stop in for a meal.
Despite it being Labor Day weekend, the place was surprisingly quiet. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, much like a typical PF Chang’s, and we were seated immediately. The lunch menu looked quite appealing, so we decided to give it a try.
Here’s what we ordered:
• Firecracker Shrimp Bowl with Soup and Rice: This was the highlight of our meal. Although it took a little longer to arrive, it was absolutely worth the wait. The dish had a great blend of veggies, black pepper, red chilies, shrimp, and rice. Rating: 5/5
• Chang’s Spicy Chicken Bowl with Lo Mein: This one was a bit underwhelming. It wasn’t as spicy as expected, and the lo mein noodles became a bit hard after a while. The chicken, however, was well-cooked and flavorful. Rating: 3.5/5
• Chicken Fried Rice: Their signature dish and one of our favorites. Consistently good as always.
Overall, the food, service, ambiance, and staff were all impressive. Rating: 4.5/5
