pFriem Family Brewers - Milwaukie Tasting Room

While visiting from Florida we found this great restaurant. The food was amazing, the atmosphere is fun and the staff is amazing. We met one of the chef’s (Randell) and he told us a little about the restaurant and the cool history behind the building. If I lived in the area this would be a regular. Food is great, beer is even better, but most of all the staff are true professionals.

The kitchen delivers the same amazing, high-quality food pFriem is known for. The biggest surprise? Draft Cocktails! The addition of five rotating cocktails, crafted by Chief pFriem Blender Kyle, is brilliant and adds a perfect dimension for those in your group who might not be drinking beer. If you’re craving world-class brews and delicious food but want to skip the I-84 drive, this is your spot. Great service, incredible quality, and a perfect "Experience + Exist" outing. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. When we came to visit my sister's family they wanted to take us here and we are so glad they did. The food was amazing but the service was over and above anything I've seen at a restaurant. Our daughter is type 1 diabetic and when we asked if they had diet coke or anything sugar free the waiter we had kinda paused and said unfortunately no they don't have anything like that. Queue 10-15 minutes later and he came back to the table with a diet coke for our daughter. Apparently the manager Rick caught wind and decided that wasn't right and went and got a diet coke for her which was just above and beyond amazing!!! We couldn't believe it and our family will probably remember that forever. The Chili Verde was delicious, a hint of heat and great flavor with a wonderful presentation. I would definitely get this again. The Chicken Sandwich was very well done, my wife and daughter each loved it. The bite I had was solid and had great flavor. They also loved the fries and were very happy with their choices. The family shared a Mac and Cheese, which while very rich the whole family really enjoyed having it as a side to our main meals. The Pimento Burger, while lightly modified by my son, was a double thumbs up. He inhaled the whole thing and the fries and went back for more Mac and Cheese. The Sausage platter is a solid appetizer, the kraut and mustard were delicious and it didn't take long for them to be eaten by the table. Beer selection was great, I did a flight of mostly lagers and really enjoyed them all. My wife who isn't a huge beer drinker also enjoyed them, the nectarine was probably her favorite, I really liked all of them and would drink any of them if given the chance. If pFriem wasn't already my favorite brewery it definitely is now. I can't say enough how amazing this place is and you definitely need to stop in and try them out.

Nice upscale brewpub with better than your average pub fare. Great beer selection, friendly bartenders and very good service. Apparently they reclaimed the old Milwaukie City Hall, but the decor doesn’t feel “historic” so much as it feels like the, um… 1980s. At least inside. There’s a pretty sweet shaded and covered patio area though - and that’s where you wanna be on a sunny day

We loved coming to here this past summer! The place was clean, food was delicious and drinks were nice and cold. We left with a mug, a tin tacker & a shirt! We would definitely come back.

I have been wanting to come here since they have opened, but every evening when I’m on my evening walk , they look pretty busy. Today we decided to try and get in. We went around 1230 on a Saturday and yep, getting busy , but we were pleasantly surprised when we were able to get seated right away. Nice selection on their menu. The pimento cheeseburger was fantastic! I added bacon for an extra 4$. This burger made my top 3 on my list. ( I love burgers) My husband ordered the sausage sampler and a side of fries. Nice selection of beer and wine to choose from. Candice our server was very friendly and attentive. They have outdoor seating with heat for those colder days. The price for food and drinks are comparable to other places we have eaten. We will definitely be back.

Pretty standard bar food but was impressed by the building it was in. They ran out of Clam and Chorizo the day we visited so it was a little bit disappointing as the menu was small as it was. Asparagus salad and Gochujang wings were nice attempts. Kid's menu is a plus!

Came with a large party; 6. Atmosphere is lovely. Came before Christmas and outside there was a beautiful little sculpture garden and large Christmas tree to enjoy while waiting. Our waitress was very friendly and patient. We ordered salads and wings to start and both were mediocre. I was actually disappointed with the wings. They were undercooked and hard to eat and pricey for the amount you got. My entree was a burger and it was cold and lacking flavor. The fish and chips are made of cheaper rockfish so I think they should be lower in cost on the menu. Everyone said their food was ok. Hope they improve their menu and add a few better entrees. Beer was ok too. Ordered a flight and we didn’t really like any of the beers. Hazy’s were light. We enjoy a nice thick hoooy hazy. If the food gets better, I’d try again.

pFriem in Milwaukie is a great local choice. The tasting room is in restored historic building with a welcoming, lively vibe perfect for hanging out with friends or a casual date night. The beer lineup is excellent. Every beer I've tried has been solid. The latest standouts were the Barrel-Aged Saison, which was fantastic with rich, complex flavors, and the Krush IPA, which was bright, crisp, and very enjoyable. Food is a standout too. The fries were absolutely fantastic easily some of the best I've had at a brewery. It's nice to find a place where the food matches the quality of the beer. Overall, pFriem delivers on atmosphere, drinks, and eats. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area!

LOVED this spot. It's a big building with multiple seating options. We sat at the bar and had fast, friendly, and efficient service. The beers (I got a blonde ale and half a pour of the winter ale) were delicious and the food was also incredibly tasty. I ordered the fish and chips and loved all the components. It's a big serving with enough fries to share. We also got the pickle plate-highly recommend- and wings- which I didn't try but consensus was they were tasty. I'd say it's on par with value for other nearby spots but I really enjoyed the experience here. Will be back!

Excited to visit after their opening. Food a bit overpriced but good, excellent beer! Been there 3 times, third time was outside on the patio. I have no reason to dis this establishment however there were RATS scurrying around in the bushes right next to the outdoor area!!! I absolutely cannot go back until someone assures me the rats are very much gone

Okay so for starters... I live in Portland and did not have to drive to Hood River to enjoy this fresh beer on tap, so that was identified as a major win from the first moment I walked in. The server was very attentive and offered some samples. I settled on the passionfruit hazy IPA and it was absolutely spectacular! I would be tempted to try the seasonal pumpkin beer at my next visit... just for a holiday adventure! I didn't have any food on this particular visit, but the menu looks like standard pub fare with some nice options. Everything that was carried by my table from a server smelled delicious. They have an upstairs area, main dining room downstairs and then an outdoor patio that was actually available for table service on a November night even though it was a bit too cold for me. I imagine this outdoor area is a marvelous place to spend a little bit of time with your dog on a nice summer afternoon. Arguably one of the best beer makers in all of Oregon, which says a lot. I'm looking forward to visiting the shop more often not only because of its proximity but also because the beer top to bottom is out of this world. Cheers!

Went during Milwaukie's tree lighting/ parade so it was extremely busy, but the service was amazing. The hostess/ waitress were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food was great. I got the Pimento cheeseburger and it was cooked just perfectly. Lots of flavor. Husband got the chile verde and expressed how good it was. We also got the mac and cheese and that was extremely creamy and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place if you're ever downtown Milwaukie.

A lot of buzz since this place opened, so I just bellied up to the bar to avoid waiting for a table on a sunny weekend day. Turns out there was no wait anyway, as it was after lunch and before dinner -- that weird in-between time. In any case, Pfriem always has great beer and the tap list here did not disappoint; the bartender hooked me up quick with a cold refreshing Pilsner. They have a ton of IPAs ( of course) and wine and cocktails too, so something for everyone. The afternoon light was lovely this time of day, stretching in from the outdoor area and into the bar, and I felt like hanging out. I asked the 'tender, an amiable dude, for grub suggestions from the fairly well rounded menu, and he convinced me the veggie burger was solid, so that's what I ordered. Didn't take too long, and yea, while the actual patty (I think a mix of beans, shrooms and rice) was cooked just the way I like it, nice and moist inside, with a good char around the edges, it was fairly overwhelmed by too much bun (potato I think). So a B-minus, maybe. The accompanying skinny fries were great though. Service seems pretty attentive and efficient on the main floor, too, from what could see. As for the decor... meh. I get that they reclaimed the old City Hall, which is fine, but it just feels a bit cold and stark, with nothin really special to warm it up. I didn't really see the supposed "historical Art Deco touches" anywhere except for the giant brick entrance. The restaurant part seems like it wants to be upscale yet casual, and I guess it is; there are way too many hosts, servers and bartenders for it to be considered divey. Plus it's way too clean for the dive' designation, IMO. Also, the toilets actually work. Downstairs you have booths and separate tables as well as communal ones (these are outside, too), and there is an upstairs area as well. The upper bar is almost a mirror image of the downstairs one, but, the space up there is weird and there's not a lot of natural light so I didn't linger. The large, covered-but-open patio honestly is where it's at. All in all this newest Pfriem location is a clean, well-run place to chill in for a bit, with good service and better than average food, but there's nothing earth-shattering going on here.

Pfreim Pilsner is my personal favorite beer. Love that it's made right here in Oregon.

Stopped by for the first time to explore the building. There are adequate parking around the building. Or park across the street for free parking. 2 hours limit. There is a lovely mural at the front door. Tasting room on the left. Closed when I came in for lunch. Lots of available tables in and outside of the restaurant. There is even an upper level where there is more room. Or hold an event or conference. I sat at the bar and observed so many kinds of drinks available. Many choices from beer to margaritas. Ordered a Pork Chili Verde which is a stew. Good chunks of pork mixed with beans and cheese. Scoop of rice along with it. The pork was really flavorful and has a tiny spice to it after you eat it. Lots of good wandering up the stairs to check things out. Especially when you are not on a time schedule.

Place is awesome. Bulk of the staff is very pleasant. Food is great. Beer is phenom. I will be a regular here for sure. There is one bartender here I will try to avoid in the future because she has ZERO social skills and is incredibly rude to polite customers. Wings and beer are straight fire tho.

pFriem Family Brewers is a true PNW staple. If you've been to their Columbia Gorge location in Hood River, you already know the love. So when I heard they were opening a spot closer to home, I was excited. Located in downtown Milwaukie (which, by the way, has had a facelift, and new stores, so worth checking out if you haven't been recently), pFriem beautifully restored Milwaukie's old city hall into a vibrant tasting hall that brings together community, friends, family and dogs. Let's not forget the dogs. Since it's new, the crowds and wait times have been a bit intense. I think I stopped by 3 or 4 times before I was finally able to get in without being turned away or facing an hour-plus wait. Hopefully, it's just the community showing love for a new local gem, and things will level out. I came in around 4:30 p.m. on a Friday and only had a short wait. I ended up at a shared table and had an incredibly kind server. The menu, though, caught me a little off guard. For a brewery, it leans toward fine dining. While I appreciate the ambition, it felt off. I ordered the mussels and the cheese plate, and our table also got burgers. Unfortunately, this is where the experience fell flat. The mussels were incredibly bland. no flavor, no spice, nothing at all. It felt like the dish was made for someone with absolutely no palate. Just... bland. The fries (steak-cut) were soggy and disappointing. The burgers, according to my friends, were also underwhelming and lacking. One more star lost was during a moment where a sweet family sat down near us. About 10 minutes later, a server approached and told them it wasn't open seating and they'd need to head back to the host stand to join the waitlist (which, fair.) But here's the kicker: the place wasn't even that busy at the time, and after they left, their table, and four or five others sat empty the entire time we were there. It felt unnecessary. So overall, I don't think I'll be back for bites until maybe a menu refresh. But I am excited for a new local spot.

Tried their bratwurst plate: brat was delicious, sauerkraut was tasty tossed in yummy dill seasoning, and the potatoes were pretty good, mustardy, but overall a solid meal 8/10. Fish n chips are nice and light,they come with tasty coleslaw, and we got their hand cut fries as the side which were nice and crispy, always a plus! 8.5/10. Beer selection is always great, I like sampling the rotating beers, but Japanese lager is still my go to. Awesome bartender - we're bar-top seating kinda people.

Came here on opening week (4 days after opening day) and it was extremely packed. We had a party of 7 and waited an hour to be seated. The building is huge and very cute inside. They have a pretty good sized menu for food. We tried a bunch of items from the gochujang wings, arugula & fennel salad, mussels & frites, and pimento cheeseburger. Everything we tried was good, and the burger was a pretty solid burger. Drinks were also good. Their cocktails are all premade so no substitutes available. Overall, good food and good vibes. But expect a wait.

Nice to have a "Pfriem" close by . Packed on a Tuesday , though . I sat at the bar , had an order of wings , and a pale beer and tried a "craft cocktail " . They had a few . Big beer list . Didn't really look past the wings . Can't really comment on the food , other than my wings were pretty good . A mix crowd of geriatrics hanging with younger people . ( Hey.........I'm geriatric !! ) A fun place to be with plenty parking , plenty people , and , actually , plenty of everything.

Razor clams with chorizo were amazing. Nice outdoor seating, but a bit noisy. We went on a Monday for dinner and it was packed. Friendly service; a bit slow, but perhaps they were short staffed as the bartender waited on us. He did his best to check in with the kitchen on gluten friendly items. As with their Hood River location no gluten goes in the fryer so the fish & chips is GF. This location also has more menu items to choose from. Portions were generous.

pFriem did an extraordinary job bringing this old, small town fire station back to life. It's an architectural delight, highlighting all it's beauty, while taking full advantage of the ever so high ceilings, and opening up many of the walls, to the extent it feels almost like being in a welcoming and warm museum. The grounds of pFriem Family Brewers are well thought out, including many lovely native plant beds, with a formation of large logs for children to climb and play, plus an outdoor patio. The patio is for those enjoying beverages. We entered about 5:30 on a Saturday. Our large group of eight was told we'd have a 45 to 50 minute wait. However, it was 20 minutes, at most. We hardly noticed the time. As we waited, our kids happily played outside, as we sipped on some delicious brews. The food is good, with quite a few healthy choices, plus regular brewery type fare - all with a slightly upscale/lighter than norm twist. There are a number of gluten free and vegan options. The staff is friendly, attentive, and does a great job of keeping all the rooms clean and inviting. 2025 #14

This is a new venue, with excellent service, the food choices are wonderful, the environment is a very cool artistic vibe. They're very supportive of New York community. Loved the whole experience!

We were super excited to visit the new location in Milwaukee, but our excitement turned to disappointment as we got the most unfriendly welcome ever. As we approached the host, she rudely mentioned that there was a 25 minute wait which I understand since they are probably understaffed. She never mentioned that we could order out the bar and sit outside, I asked well can I have a beer and again she was rolling her eyes and said yes you can get a beer and can sit outside also there's no food service so you can order there. The whole point is that she could've been welcoming and friendly as we can understand that the business is just taking off in this new location, but her attitude was rude and unwelcoming. Needless to say the place was 3/4 empty :-(. Perhaps you should only hire people that are good at dealing with customers.

It's a weekday. It's 2:30 in the afternoon. They only opened this last weekend. It's Milwaukie. We were thinking it might be good..., but wouldn't have been surprised if, having just opened, there were still some kinks to work out. There weren't. Miki had the mac & cheese while I had the Olympia Provisions Brat and a side salad. To drink, we shared a pint of the Japanese Lager. They were using electronic order entry pads and that must help, because our food showed up ridiculously fast even though they were packed! How was it, you ask? Miki's m&c was rich, creamy and super cheeseful. My bratwurst was excellent, as was the spicy brown mustard sauce it was in. The pork belly hiding amongst the pan-grilled potatoes was a delightful surprise! But, what about that beer? Miki is Japanese and I am a Japanophile and we know Izakaya culture and all that. What's special about great Japanese Lager is that they are PERFECt on a sweaty, hot day, when you've been grinding your way through the after-work press of humanity, trying to get to your favorite izakaya before you melt into the pavement. Soon enough, you have a pint of beautiful, golden lager in front of you. Once everyone is served, a hearty "kampai!" Exchanged with much clinking of glasses..., the heat of the walk and wear and tear of a long day of work wash away beneath a wave of intensely cold, crisp, clean, and so refreshing beer that you can't help but chug at least a quarter before letting out an exclamation of joy and relief... "Ahhhh!" The drier the better, perhaps even a slightly bitter or slightly sour finish, but always so refreshing whether it's a cheap Sapporo or a wonderful Asahi Super-Dry. But I digress..., what about the Pfriem? Perfect. Absolutely what it's supposed to be and what I was hoping for! Yum!!!

Beer. Check. Good food where not everything is premade so they can accommodate my weird allergies. Check. Fun summertime patio. Check. I've been waiting for whatever was going on at the courthouse... city hall... whatever, to finish, and really enjoyed my time there.

What a great location! Beautiful building and atmosphere. The usual great quality / variety of Pfriem beers are here and the food menu is a little different from Hood River - the clams / broth were 10/10 and loved the burgers. The server in the bar was super nice as well. ll be back as this is a much closer drive than Hood River!

Just great... Just go... Right now!! What can I say, bunch of parking right across the street (we did go on a Sunday), great location in cute Milwaukie town area, and there is a lovely outdoor area to hang out while waiting for your table. Even a little kids playground too so it's great for all ages! And of course, like the brewery in hood river you can hook a left right when you go in and grab a beer (or in my case from the bar to the right - and yes my beer came out of the tap from the fire pole...uh what? Awesomeness) and chill out while waiting for your table. Honestly how bad can a wait be when you have beer in your hand...the answer is NOT BAD AT ALL hehe This time was able to get some food and it was typical good Pfriem food :) burger was on spot and not too big and not all greasy, we also got the Beet salad (so sad I didn't take a pic, it was really good!) and my picky daughter had no issue with the kids burger :) So put down your phone and get over there! Plus you can catch the bus or orange Max line right up to it so no need to worry about driving and yes it's even worth the trek on public transit! On opening day I took two busses there and the Max home and I am so very pleased that Pfriem is within city limits!! Keep up the excellent work Pfriem!!!

Loved our visit to pFriem last night. The atmosphere was lively even on a Wednesday night but not too loud. The beer was great, I especially liked the passionfruit hazy. The food was one of the best I've had at a Portland area brewery. We enjoyed the apple bleu cheese salad, the wings and the brat plate. So nice finding a brewery with an in house kitchen that serves more variety than sandwiches or pizza. We will definitely be back.

Food was good! Way too noisy inside ! Too hot to sit outside. Too much bar atmosphere and waiters that kept asking if we wanted cocktails!

Sunny day, beautiful old building, the joint was jumping. There's no doubting the quality of the beer here, crisp and professional. Server friendly and busy. I like being able to order how my burger's done, and it was as i asked; but it was also a little blank. And the pimento cheese was laid on thin. The bun was soft, but surprisingly held up (important sandwich criterion.) I got the fried from the end of the basket, but somebody had tp Casey Brat plate looked pretty substantial. So maybe more subjective than obj, but i can't go for the 5th star

I really like the idea of this place. And I love seeing all the joyful people making it a destination... However, it's kind of hard work there. There's definitely often a wait around dinner time. They will give you a beeper thing and put you on a list, but also tell you to really hurry when it starts buzzing or else they're gonna give up your table. The indoor dining room is so wildly loud. I appreciate that it is in a somewhat historical building, but I cannot go back to this place until they do some sort of sound dampening work. My burger was delicious. My friend's chicken sandwich, as others have mentioned, had an absurdly large brick of chicken in it and was somewhat dry/unpleasant overall.

My first visit was four stars after some opening jitters, but after lunch there yesterday, I'm bumping up to five. The staff now has a relaxed and pleasant approach. A couple of us shared a gigantic bowl of excellent Mac n cheese alongside a beautiful and lightly dressed beet salad. As always, the beers are all spectacular. It also seems like the beer is reasonably priced for a change. I really appreciate that and the fact that this is walking distance from home.

Party of five, the wait wasn't too long, especially when your able to try a couple beers upstairs. :) Once seated Zach took care of us and answered our questions. Kind of loud to be able to talk. But worth-it for the food and beer Highly recommend

Open roughly a month so many if not all of the kinks are worked out. Long waits, really busy. To be expected, like their Hood River location. This place lacks the personality of the other location. A little too sterile and feeling kind of corporate. Maybe they have to be to accommodate so many guests, but service was just OK and food was OK but not great. The beers are excellent as always. Will have to go back after 6-12 months to compare and see how they are settling in.

I've been there twice and both times the wait staff was exceptional. Very friendly,attentive and helpful. The beers were excellent and the fish and chips were great. They make really fresh slaw and good sized pieces. The ambiance was clean and comfortable. It's a step up from usual pub fare and prices were reasonable. Will go again!

I love this place. Such an amazing use of a historic space. The beer is excellent, the food is good, and there's just something incredibly special about hanging in an old fire house and city hall. The staff were also great the times I've visited. Wait times can be long though. It can get busy.

Surprised the rating isn't higher for this place. I went about 2 months ago with friends and the beers were really good. I got a flight and a burger and it was great! Nice atmosphere and staff too I would go again.

Arrived around noon on this sunny Sunday and the line was long! They told us 30 min wait, so we put our names on the list, grabbed a beer and sat down to enjoy our beverage. After less than 20 min we were seated, so that was good! Took another 30 min for our order to be taken, but the place was packed so that was understandable. Then the real waiting started. More than 60 min later our food came. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad. The salad was just leaves and dressing, and not tasty enough to waste the calories. The chicken sandwich was pretty dry, and the piece of chicken only took up 3/4 of the bun. Husband got beet salad with chicken, and there were very few beets. Waiters was great, friendly and understanding. Beer was good. But nothing else about this experience was pleasant. Hopefully these are just some early bugs for them to work out. I think it would be helpful if they set the expectations from the get go. Like if I had known food would take an hour, I would have chosen to go somewhere else.

pFriem was a fun dining experience, especially with our 15 month old. It was inviting and casual, and noisy enough that no one stared at us of our little one yelped a bit. Although we didn't sit on the patio, the open garage door allowed for the perfect summer breeze to sweep through while dining. :) My husband loved his Hazy IPA, as well as the batched Old Fashion on tap. I enbibed in the spicy margarita on tap, and it was killer! I was truly shocked! Definitely try it while you're there. Now, let's talk about the food... The Pimento Burger sounds good in theory, but it's just a basic burger. It's not as 'special' as it sounds. Sadly, it was pretty boring. I would have much preferred getting a burger at Mike's Drive In on 224. :/ The arugula and fennel salad was also very blah. No dressing whatsoever. We had to use the vinegar mixture from our Gochujang wings, to add to the salad... thank goodness for that addition! The Gochujang wings were okay, but for the price, they better be, as they were $17 for 4 wings! The handcut fries served with the burger were definitely soft and not crisp enough for a french fry. They were a bit of a disappointment as well. My husband and I discussed coming back for drinks, but most likely not for food. We understand this is a bar and not a Michelin Star restaurant, but the flavor could be bumped up a notch or two.

What an amazing experience! We are a party of 6. Came here 2 nights in a row. If we could come here regularly we would. 2nd night, Patience was our server and she treated us very well! Very friendly and accommodating. We had met Randall (a sue chef) the night before and he gave us all kinds of tips and info really represented the PFriem Brand. Food is absolutely delicious! No complaints!! First night I had the fish and chips...so good. The Pork chili verde was a hot topic and we tried to order it the second night but they were out. But the clams and the sausage plate were a hit. Thank you PFriem for such a nice experience! We will tell all our friends and family this is a must!

Delicious beers, friendly servers, and great food! We really enjoyed the cheeseburger. And the kids, macaroni and cheese was very good.

So happy pFriem has a closer location to Portland now! We had lunch here on a Friday just under two weeks from their grand opening, and they were busy. We arrived at Noon and waited 20 minutes for a table, which was understandable considering the time of day & it being a new, popular place in downtown Milwaukie. They always have excellent food at their Hood River location, and their menu here was equally fantastic. We had their fish & chips (gluten-free!), which was a generous portion & also came with coleslaw. The gluten-free breading on the fish was light & tasty, too. Our friend ordered a salad with grilled chicken & she enjoyed it and the amount of grilled chicken on it was plentiful. They also have their own excellent beers on tap, along with non-alcoholic options. The building they're located in is magnificent as they moved into the old Milwaukie City Hall & Fire Precinct building and did an excellent job fixing it up. They have 3 bar areas (1 is upstairs), and a nice covered & heated patio with picnic tables out front. The service was quick, and mostly good, though they were a bit understaffed due to how unexpectedly crazy busy they were, and I know they are hiring & training more staff, so I expect that will improve.

Came here again on June 19th for the first time since chatting with the GM. I was hopeful in having a good experience. I came here on a weekday before the dinner rush, I was hoping to sit on the patio with a beer and read. I knew that when they first opened, the patio was strictly for people who were just drinking beer and there was no food service on the patio. I was a single person on this Thursday afternoon and asked the host if I could sit on the patio. I mentioned that I wanted to sit on the patio and read with a beer. He then changed his tone abruptly and said that I could to go to the bar and order a beer and stand on the railing. This was not a busy time, there were tables available on the patio and there were tables open inside. I said, "oh so I can't sit on the patio with a beer?" He then responded that the tables were reserved for "customers". I responded that I was a customer. This is a brewery mind you, people come here for the beer. I was going to be paying, I *was* a customer. I wanted to enjoy the nice day with a beer and read my book at a time which was not peak and there were tables available. I was completely taken aback and turned off and felt like I was not valued as a customer. The host ended up seating me at a table but it ruined my experience yet again. Outside, there were at least three different parties that I noticed that just had ordered drinks and were sitting on the patio at tables, however, I was made to feel like less than a customer because I had stated what I was there for as a single person. Their slogan is "proudly crafted, humbly offered". Which I find is antithetical to the attitudes of the people who are working there. This was the third time I had been here and I feel like I have been treated like I am not welcome all three times. The first time I came as a single person and was told to just "find a seat at the bar" after I had just stood in line along with the other patrons when it was the opening first weeks and really crowded. Because I wasn't in an actual "party" I felt like my patronage was less than everyone else and that I wasn't really welcome except to fend for myself at the bar. Once I scrounged up a seat at the bar, I was ignored by the bartenders and then when a couple sat down next to me a minute later, the bartender was quick to give them service. Luckily, the couple next to me recognized that I was there before them and told the bartender to serve me first. It just caused it to be an awkward experience which I chalked up to them being a new business and getting their legs under them. However, after three visits to Pfriem, I have yet to have a good experience except for talking to the GM. I really really really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Again, I am a local who loves beer and supporting local family businesses. However, I cannot give this place another chance.

Loved the design, service, food and beer! Finally a brewery that gets that you need a pretty place to hang out and that just having a brewery with a few tables isn't good enough. Can't wait to go back.

Unlike some peoples reviews of the first 5 days of a business being open, I am happy to report a positive experience. Was the first few days crazy busy? Yes! Do I think they will work out their business kinks while moving forward? Yes! Do I think a 1 star review is a fair review for a business that is experiencing a crazy start? No. Milwaukie has been longing for something like this FOREVER and I am happy that PFriem has joined us. I am looking forward to having them in the neighborhood for years to come and invite everyone to join!

The food was amazing. I had the chorizo with clams. And the Mac and cheese. Delicious! Service was very top notch. We sat outside in a beautiful sunny day. Can't wait to go back agai

Great location and beer! Unfortunately the food was less than sub par and the staff were very grouchy. Our waiter checked on us twice in 2 hours which made getting a second delicious beer hard. Hopefully they can turn this place around and not let such a good location go to waste with bad service and food. There was also a very large rat in the bushes that our dog started to chase away. Absolutely disgusting.

New place so first time. It's going to be hyped for a while due to something like this in this small area so youll have get there early to beat the line. Food: we had a burger, fries and a salad. It was all okay, typical tavern food. Fresh cut fries were a plus. We had the chocolate torte and that was good. They were out of alot of things, including some of the beers we wanted to try. Theyre still new so understandable that they need to adjust.

We were seated right away which was great, but then the wait began. Our server took nearly 30 minutes to even greet us. We were getting ready to leave when he finally came to our table. He'd been around all the other tables nears ours the entire time, and took the order of a couple who were seated after us. I'm not sure what was going on and why this particular aspect of the service was so slow. Our food arrived fairly quickly which was good since they were going to be closing soon. The fish was ok, but way too small of a serving for the price. Also the chicken sand which had way more bread than chicken. Both meals had fries ahd they were limp and dull unfortunately. We were excited to try it but now don't think we'll be back.

Great food and beers. Tables are a bit cramped inside and there are lots of staff running around because it's super busy all the time! Love that pFriem and the coffee shop are in the old City Hall. Welcome additions!

The food and beer were great. The amount of screaming toddlers was ridiculous. My wife and I couldn't hear each other at our table. We sat inside upstairs. Staff were pleasant and really good. It was simply obnoxiously loud.
