Even though there were vacant tables, everything was marked as reserved. Having traveled to several countries, I found this to be one of my least pleasant dining experiences. If guests are not welcome without a reservation, it would be better to communicate this more politely. Some of the comments made, such as “you don’t need to come back,” were quite disappointing.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the décor exuded a touch of Mediterranean charm. We were warmly greeted by the staff, who were incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire evening. For our special occasion, we opted for the Valentine's Day package, which offered a curated selection of exquisite dishes. The presentation of each course was visually stunning, and the flavors were an explosion of culinary artistry. From the melt-in-your-mouth appetizers to the decadent dessert, every bite was a testament to the chef's talent and passion. While pictures can capture the beauty of the food, they simply cannot convey the full experience. The aroma of fresh herbs and spices, the delightful clinking of glasses, and the warm smiles of the staff all contributed to this unforgettable evening. Phaedra Restaurant surpassed our expectations in every way. It wasn't just a meal; it was a sensory experience that left us feeling cherished and deeply satisfied. As my patner said, We will definitely be back soon, not just for special occasions, but to experience the magic of Phaedra again and again.

We had the 4 course menu. The tuna starter was amazing and the final steak/fish as well. In fact i think the steak was one of the best I ever had. The second course was a pasta that had an amazing sause but we think they lost the cooking point. We asked to return and the new one came the same way. Desert was not so nice either. Service was slow in comparison with other redtaurants. In summary we would return but not for the menu.

From the freshly baked Pita, the appetisers, to the three main dishes, everything tasted absolutely delicious and creative. A feats for the taste buds. The red wine Ampeleia from Toskana also perfectly accompanied our early dinner. Located conveniently in Südstadt, it is a perfect place to finish of a day after visiting Rheinauhafen and Chlodwigplatz. The interior is chic but casual at the same time, leading to a comfortable atmosphere. It is great that phaedra offers a discount for early Saturday dinners.

Mediterranean food in the highest quality, great wine menu, excellent cocktails, friendly, attentative staff, beautiful interior... One of the best spots for casual fine dining in Cologne! - Update: after several more absolutely wonderful visits phaedra not only confirms the rating, but manages to one up itself almost every time.

What a place! We had a great time here with the 4 course menu with a very tasteful wine menu! Squid, prawns, veal cheeks and pavlova! Great wines, champagne and drinks.. Great atmosphere and staff!

Nice location, service was OK, interesting twist on classic dishes. Not cheap but worth it!

We absolutely love this place! We always go for their 4 course meal with an accompanied wine selection course. Everything is in detailed prepared and explained by the wonderful attentive staff. Absolutely delicious! By far a worthwhile experience from beginning to end! A real gem in Cologne!
