Google
pharoahs village is a great place for mediterranean/middle eastern food! such great value for your money. the staff was super friendly and willing to assist. i got the chicken shawarma platter which came with chicken, pita, veggies, and side salad. they give you the option to sub the salad for fries, extra pita, or extra rice. the platter was so good! chicken was juicy and seasoned well and the combination of everything together was magnificent. super filling for only $15. i also ordered a side of falafel and those were tasty as well. i should’ve ordered the smaller portion rather than the large one! the atmosphere is that of a typical mom and pop shop. nothing fancy and it was a little warm in there. probably due to the kitchen in the same room. would definitely come again in the future.

I’m going to first say they had fresh, good quality food…IF you like olives. EVERYTHING had an olive taste. My hubby loves olives, I do not. The sanitation grade was only a 92.5, that’s rather low. The bathrooms are so far in the back you think you’re leaving the restaurant before you get to them. My hubby said he wouldn’t choose to go back himself but he would go with someone else if that’s where they wanted to go. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great, hence the average score.

Google
Had the lamb gyro with fries. Absolutely incredible! 💯 Best gyro I've ever had. Staff were friendly and courteous. Highly recommend Pharaoh's Village! Update 6/17/25 Had the lamb gyro and fries again today. Still incredible! I asked to speak with the owner and shared with him how it's such a treat every time my family dines at Pharaoh's Village. I've never been disappointed here.

“My husband wasn’t sure about the quality of the food because he didn’t feel comfortable in the restaurant. Once the food was served, he was delighted. The food is delicious and plentiful… It will definitely be one of the places we will return to.”

Google
The family was in the mood for some Mediterranean food, so we decided to stop in and give this place a shot and it was absolutely delicious. I got the Chicken Shawarma Combo and I enjoyed every bit of it. It was surprisingly pretty big, but I love me some food so it was definitely devoured. 10/10 would recommend giving this place a shot.

Google
First visit to this Mediterranean restaurant. Based off star rating, we decided to visit. We pulled up and it looked so dark inside, even though the open sign was blinking. The lighting was dark and gloomy in the dinning area. Customer service was pleasant. Order lamb gyro combo. It took about 8 minutes, per customer service. Once we received the food, it was still warm but the fries were hard. The fries were not cooked all the way through. The gyro was delicious. I will recommend but check your order before leaving.

Came here as a white guy with no idea what I was doing. Was recommended some excellent food. Will 100% be returning.

Google
The food and atmosphere were amazing. Only gripe I had, which is minimal, was the young girl working the register. Just seemed like she didn't want to be there and not very engaged. She acted bothered when asked something or needing something and occasionally played on her phone while at work. But the food, and Turkish Coffee were exceptionally delicious.

Yelp
The food is absolutely amazing. Went there two weekends in a row. Got a lamb pita the first time, and the King Tut's platter the second time with Athena's salad tossed on the side. It's very difficult to stop eating (ain't nobody got time for leftovers) and then your wife has to roll you out of the restaurant. Service is good; frequent checks on the table. Comfortable place with Arabic music. 100% recommend.

Yelp
As much as the food at this establishment has been good and delicious. I can't seem to find another culprit for the sicknesses we've have our last two visits. We visited around mid-December and my brother in law got terribly sick. We all ate, but he had his own dish with other meats which is what we think had him down with a stomach bug for 5 days. We just visited yesterday and this time around I payed attention to the sanitation rating. An astonishing 92.5 out of 100, however this is still considered grade A. We gave this restaurant a second chance and I regret it so much! I'm writing this at 4am as I sit here with my 3 year old, whom is currently running a 102.4 fever and now also has a stomach bug. I did some research and the violations of this restaurant are incredibly disturbing. "There was a container of cooked chicken cooling for 1.5 hrs @117F," no properly cooling meat, not properly containing cooked meat in container, no hair nets on the cooks, a "pink" substance on the ice machine??? This place doesn't deserve an A grade, "pink" substance?? Have you ever heard of "pink mold"? This is terrible, I regret ever giving this place a first chance. Their food is well portioned and tastes great when it's cooked right but I will not risk mine nor my children's health. We will find another Mediterranean restaurant in the area instead. Yelp
This spot was really great. I was in town and saw a lot of people mention Pharaohs for good gyros and gyro plates and the the colorful, pretty, and huge plates online sold me. I drove over to the shopping center where it was at and was greeting by a friendly woman at the front. The restaurant is big and has plenty of places to sit. The shopping center where it is located at is ehh but the best spots are hole in a walls. The food only took about 10-15 minutes and came out quick both times (I went back later for a big to-go order). The food is also priced great for the portion. The giant trio plate was around $26 and could've definitely fed 2. I could barely finish half. Everything tasted good from the meat, the rice, and to the hummus and tzatziki dips. I also enjoyed the grilled and charred onions and peppers on top of the rice. I loved the beef kebab the most out of all 3 meats that came on the trio plate. The lamb kofta was also great in this plate but when I ordered it later it was a little overcooked. Either way I would definitely come back.

Yelp
An update on my previous review. Not only did they raised their price on the kabob for share. They even made the container for it smaller. This is horrible. I hope they change it back to the right size.

Ryan H.

Yelp
Staff was not friendly and even argued loudly with each other. Food was mediocre at best. Does not surprise me that I was the only person there during peak lunch period.

Felipe S.

Yelp
Just have to keep coming back especially for the magical enticing TURKISH COFFEE.. that set up too how can you not fall in love? Solo Amor! Only Love! We order the lamb gyro which was rich of flavor( love when you can taste olives) Chicken Shawarma was juicy and loaded. Hummus is always a great. Pita bread can never have enough. Onion rings mix very well with the course. Also order the Pharos special hot sauce *must try* And my true love the Turkish coffee to end the meal the right way. All this is at an affordable price nothing wallet damaging.

Yelp
The food was OK , spicy hummus 10/10. I had the Chicken Shawarma Platter with Greek Salad. Everything was great, accept the amount of dill pickles on the dish. Is that a thing? I picked off 3/4 of the pickles and just dealt with the rest. It wasn't bad, just unexpected. The chicken was half great, the other half was "woody". ( very tough almost like gristle) Not really their fault, sometimes the breast meat can be that way. I wouldn't serve it if you can barely cut through it, but that's just me. The shawarma/garlic sauce was good, but it was a little goopy. Like super thick. It was hard to incorporate into the rice and chicken. I wanted to poor it over, but I ended up dipping it. I liked the meal, it grew on me. Service was a little slow, but also frantic for no reason. We had a bigger group, and they found it difficult to remember who ordered what, and even missed a couple entrees, and sides. We also got a few pitchers of water, and no refills after that. We would have asked, but after all the food got out, and everyone was satisfied, they left us alone. A little pricey. 2 entrees, side of hummus, and a side of Fries ran us $50. We had water too, so potentially can easily spend $65 with tip and drinks added. The seating areas are pretty dated. It was very dark as well. Overall, 3/5 because of those few issues. 3, means I would eat there again despite the issues we had. I would just order more clearly, ask more questions.

Yelp
My husband and I were in town for a reunion and stopped through after seeing other Yelp reviews we decided to share the Gyro platter for 2 and there was sooooo much food! Easy 4 people!! Everything was perfect!! Got a couple desserts to go and to my surprise there were a few extras in the box! Great good, great service!!! 5 stars!!

Dennis E.

Yelp
I ordered the pharaohs trio platter and literally everything about it was delicious, it's a small place but it's absolutely a hidden diamond. The young man behind the counter had a work ethic and attention to customer service that gives you hope for his generation. I will return here every time I'm in Fayetteville

Kristyn F.

Yelp
Update! Something has changed! The platters don't come with hummus anymore?? Platter was served with a weird yellow sauce similar to mustard. Not gross but not great. Also, chicken was covered in pickles?? Also, not gross and definitely not great. Gyro was OK. Fries were OK. There is something awry here! Might be back, might not. Litmus test will be going to Legacy to see if there are significant changes there.

Kerwin T.

Yelp
Been here few times and food is consistently good! We had the mix family platter, came with big plates of salad and meat. Salad came with humus and bread, meat plate came with rice

Pritesh P.

Yelp
It was Saturday around noon and we were in need of some solid hangover food. Lucky for us Pharoah's has some of the best Mediterranean food in the Fayetteville area. This place is in a small strip mall / shopping center with plenty of parking. The exterior has a couple tables for patrons wanting to dine outdoors. Walking in you immediately see the menu and ordering register. Towards the right is a large dining area and further back sits a small market where they sell canned products, hookahs and other dry goods. BUT, back at the register we decided to go for the Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Wraps + French Fries. We also got sides of their garlic sauce and hot sauce for some additional jazz. Food was made fresh after we ordered and delivered to our table piping hot. The wraps were massive but my intense hunger didn't flinch. We scarfed down the wraps at lightning speed leaving the fries lurking in the trays. Don't worry though, we took good care of them too. Needless to say, our bellies were satisfied and we had made yet another epic lunch decision. I suggest you make this smart decision the next time hunger strikes, and of course drop a thumbs up on this review for sharing this insightful experience

Yelp
I came here off chance. I got the koshari with chicken. I can't praise it enough, it was so good. And it was the real deal authentic Egyptian koshari, not the cheap imitations I've encountered in other states. Bravo, cooks!

Markela S.

Yelp
Food is greasy (but this is expected just for people who are picky with that). ITS SO FLAVORFUL!!! LOVE THE KEBAB PLATES SO MUCH AND THEIR YELLOW RICE! Their service is normal just good not great or anything but it's a small place so it doesn't even matter. It's nice in there but I prefer the patio outside, love to eat in the fresh air.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Well, this WAS one of my favorite spots. Just a HORRIBLE experience today. Food was good, service was so bad and the price was shocking. Good thing we have other options for Mediterranean food in Fayetteville.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Best Gyro in Fayetville. Glad I decided to try them out! Next time I'm in the city I'll definitely stop back to try different menu items!!

Shannon C.

Yelp
Just wanted to leave a newer review of Pharaoh's Village. I get their Greek Chicken Salad almost every Friday and it's the beat Greek salad I've ever eaten. The veggies are fresh and the chicken is well-seasoned and tender. Their baklava is almost amazing. I also love, love the spicy hummus. It is very spicy!

Sandy G.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean Stop in town!!!!!! Gyro Platter -8/10 It was a big platter with all the necessary flavorful components. Meat was tender and marinated well on top of the rice. The Tabouli salad was balanced and very refreshing along with the meal. Hummus with Pita- 8/10 Loved the presentation. Creamy and well flavored. Pita was warm and very well complimented the hummus. Onion stings- 8/10 The Onion Rings are a must. The batter was so airy and had a hint of sweetness to it. They also serve a variety of Baklava with Walnuts Pistachios and Rose. Very satisfied with our visit. Thank you for a great experience!

Medina A.

Yelp
Go for the lamb gyro; it was amazingly tender and delicious. Baklava were tiny but tasty as well. Unfortunately, that's where the flavor train stopped. We also got the Vegetarian Platter with the driest tabouleh EVER. The counter server was nice enough to apologize and offered me the Eastern salad. Sadly, it lacked salt and the fat element (feta) was unrepresented. Falafels and Hummus were okay; I've easily had better.

Elise W.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place, but it wasn't for us. Maybe we were spoiled with amazing Mediterranean food in Europe. There are certainly a number of regional styles and perhaps we prefer another recipe to what we got here. I however was shocked by our experience in comparison with the insanely good reviews! Unfortunately the tabouleh had zero flavor no lemon or high quality oil. It was like parsley with an ungodly amount of red onions. This really bummed me out because I absolutely love tabouleh. The hummus was also on the chunkier side and not super smooth or flavorful. Not terrible, but not life changing. It kind of reminded me of Saba. The falafel and Kibbeh were the only decent items. Even then the Kibbeh could have used a bit more salt. I can't say I really cared for the grape leaves either - they were a bit dry and tasted old. Maybe we went on a bad night. I will say if anyone is looking for amazing food from this region head up to Med Deli in Chapel Hill! They only serve the freshest food & are generous with their seasonings. Za'atar anyone?

Robin B.

Yelp
Good food good service clean and accommodating. Food was delicious and plentiful plus really affordable! Close to stores and theaters . Great place for groups and families alike.

Emma J.

Yelp
This place is tasty, very good food overall, nestled in an easy to find location. 1. It was a Saturday, not too busy. The gyro platter overall was excellent, but the salad they added was pretty wilted/had seen better days. 2. The place must be understaffed. As people would get done eating, they leave their tables and nobody would come to clean up the tables. There were about 6 tables and booths around us that were just stacked with dirty dishes and napkins and nobody seemed to care enough to clean them. 3. I think it's a bit over priced for what you get as far as the meat portions. $16ish for a gyro platter but there was way more rice and salad than anything. *Overall this is the best Mediterranean I've had around these parts. But honestly, we probably won't be back for a while. It was solid, don't let my review distract you from at least giving it a shot. If they can just clean up after a customer leaves a table, and get some fresher salad on the plate - I'd probably be inclined to give them a 4 or a 5.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I always love this place. Food is plentiful and the staff is friendly. It's a cute little neighborhood spot

Rosemary L.

Yelp
Was here 1 year ago and it was excellent. Just had lunch and am totally disappointed. No dressing on the Greek salad. Place was dirty. Ladies room was out of order. The food had to be returned since my friend asked for no onions and salad was loaded with them. Tables were sticky as well as floor. I do not recommend this place.

Allison T.

Yelp
Their food is sooo good. Would definitely recommend over the other Mediterranean places in the area. Great portions, good service, and nice atmosphere.

Deanna S.

Yelp
Came here craving tabuleh salad and I also wanted some hummus and pita bread. The hummus was good but a little on the bitter side. I wish they gave more pita bread with the amount of hummus you get. Overall I liked the food and would come back. The baklava is really good too!

Victoria S.

Yelp
These guys are a bunch of thieves!...they took my friend's hard earned tips...so if u tip by CC or even hand them cash, just know that the money is not going to the server. It is going in to the business or back to their cooks... And I thought after all that that's why kitchen staff gets a salary or an hourly rate... And the business makes their money off of the profits of the food and off of their merchandise, but did you know that servers only make $2.13 and I don't mean $213 I mean $2.13 that's all they make an hour so they kind of depend on tips. !!!

Caroline F.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and it always hits the spot! The portions are pretty large too so you will never be hungry after eating here :)

ms d.

Yelp
Great food, very accommodating to special requests (i.e. food allergy). I will definitely be back!

Hannah D.

Yelp
Great places, great food, fast service. The tzatziki sauce is bomb. The other sauce is bomb too like the Greek sauce. The fries are crunch. The ambience is peaceful and lots of space. Not too crowded!

Jaimee M.

Yelp
Service was decent. I ordered food to go & it was ready in about 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken gyro sandwich & it was good. Had a lot of flavor and a good mixture of sauce throughout. I'll return to try other things. As of October 9, 2020, there is no requirement to wear a mask inside this establishment. I'm back in the area visiting from Maryland, so I was a bit thrown off that I was the only one wearing a mask lol. The staff and cooks has masks from what I could see, but not required by customers.

Chandra J.

Yelp
Was super excited to try Pharaohs and even planned my evening to come here. I hear from a couple of people that this was one of the best authentic Mediterranean spots around. With me eating healthier I wanted to try this place. But, it left me wanting more despite its five star average reviews. The keppe was dry and fell flat on flavor. I liked that the chef did come out and told me more about the dish-this was so kind. However, it did not make up for the dish falling a little flat. I really like that Pharaohs is locally owned and has tons of bakery options--especially their overly large olive oil jars! Also, I noticied after I ordered that a couple of staff were not fully "wearing" their masks--just hanging around their chins. So, I hope going forward that this changes.

Lori M.

Yelp
Calling in an order you get a bit of attitude from the gal answering the phone. After each item I ordered I heard "anything else?" Like it was a burden to be taking my call. She also seemed to have attitude when I was asking for clarification on what came with certain dishes.

John B.

Yelp
A place with ratings so high you wonder if they're cheating somehow. I waited a bit for my fava bean platter, but when it arrived, I could see the time had been spent garnishing a rather magnificent-looking plate with a bowl of foul (stewed fava beans), accompanied by falafel, a bit of tomato-cucumber salad, and a sliced pita. I could see the appeal of this place. The fava beans were in pureed form rather than whole (which I prefer) and were tasty. The pita carried with it a rather foul scent; I suspect that even though it was a vegetarian dish the pita had been roasted near something non-vegetarian and picked up the smell as sometimes happens. Nonetheless, the fava beans drowned that out reasonably well. The pineapple ginger drink I added (they have jamaican beverages for some reason) was quite delicious. It wasn't the best foul I've ever had and I wasn't quite persuaded to join the five-star parade, but I enjoyed it.

Jessica O.

Yelp
Stopped here during a road trip because it was one of the highest rated restaurants in Fayettesville! I ordered the lamb gyro salad style while my husband order the same thing but platter style. We got our food super quick, which was unbelievable for the great quality of the meal! The lamb in my salad was cooked perfectly. So tender and flavorful! The salad itself was very good with two different dressing to it one similar to Italian and one that was yogurt based. Thank you Pharaohs Village for the great meal! Something that is also neat about this place is they have a mini market that sells some of the goods that they use to cook like olive oil, they also have hookah flavors and parts for sale.

Vik K.

Yelp
Excellent food, good prices, good service..,.............. We enjoyed the vegetarian dinner.

John A.

Yelp
The best Gyro and greek salad around. Great customer service, friendly atmosphere. The owner always finds his way out to meet and greet. Excellent atmosphere!

Anna B.

Yelp
Jaw dropping platters, super friendly service and the food has been really delicious both times we've gone. Remember your Turkish Coffee and baklava!

Natasha G.

Yelp
Absolutely great food and friendly staff. I love the esthetics of the restaurant. This is one of the best in this region.

Brandon V.

Yelp
If you've had good Mediterranean/Levant food, you will be disappointed. Sorry, but the antique store next door is bangin!

Joshua B.

Yelp
When I talk about whole in the wall! This is the definition. Somehow the best Mediterranean restaurant is in Fayetteville NC. I have traveled all throughout the Mediterranean and have had so much kabob, gyro, and baklava from all different countries in the Mediterranean. I got the lamb gyro salad because I needed a light lunch the ingredients were all so fresh. I loved the yogurt and the lamb. Seriously my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the US!!!! It's Authentic!

Jamie R.

Yelp
Got sick off the lamb shank . Eat here a lot won't be back was my top 5 . Service is always horrible definitely need to get new people at the counter . Sour faces and horrible attitude.

Safa A.

Yelp
It was an amazing experience, I loved it. And price was good for a local cuisine. I'm saying that because local tastes are usually expensive for no reason. Thank you!!!

Shaadee A.

Yelp
Thanks Yelp community, I definitely would not have come across this place without you. In a sea of fast food options on the highway, we were excited to find something that would be fast, tasty, and filling without making us feel weighed down. This place went beyond my expectations, and I would definitely come back if I was passing through the area again. Lamb Gyro - Just phenomenal. The fresh, warm pita bread is toasted perfectly on the outside and soft on the inside. The lamb is perfectly balanced with fresh iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. I asked for no onions. Greek Chicken Salad - The other reviews are not lying, this is a salad you'll remember forever and it definitely won't leave you hungry. You get an extremely generous helping of perfectly seasoned chicken over a bed of iceberg and romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a single banana pepper. The whole medley is topped off with what seems to be a flavorful lemon, olive oil vinaigrette. You can also ask for tzatziki sauce if you want a more creamy dressing. Dolmas - Tasty, but not special enough to order again when I could try something new. The order came with five dolmas with a dollop of tzatziki sauce and sprinkled cilantro on top. The outdoor patio was perfect for enjoying our meal while social distancing. We were glad to see the cashier and server wearing masks. I'll be dreaming of the salad and gyro as we journey on. Excited to come back again for the amazing portions, great taste, and excellent quality!

Jay G.

Yelp
The food is amazing and extremely fresh. I highly recommend this place for both dining in and takeout.

Tami H.

Yelp
The food is really good but on the pricey side. It's a nice treat every once in awhile. I would recommend this little hidden gem to any who love Mediterranean Cuisine.

Robyn S.

Yelp
We travel from South Carolina to eat here every year on the way to the outer banks- it never disappoints! Classic Mediterranean food, super fresh ingredients and always friendly staff. You will NOT be disappointed stopping in- make sure to take some desserts to go because you'll be too full to eat them in the restaurant!

Miranda M.

Yelp
First time trying Mediterranean food and loved it! Definitely recommend. Ordered the Baklava and it was yummy as well!

Tanya C.

Yelp
The Gyro Plate is delicious! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a lot of questions and they were all so helpful and informative.
