Amazing first experience - we’ll be back very soon! We dined at the bar with Kristen — One of the best bartender, dining experience we’ve had in many many years! So attentive and thoughtful anticipating needs before we even asked! One of the top 3 ramen places I’ve found besides Mountain View and Barcelona - spice to order, amazing aromatics ❤️❤️❤️Kristin! 😜😎🙏🏽❤️🌈🐻 PS Happy Hour 3-6pm on Saturday!!!!

We had a wonderful experience at Phat Boy on Valentine’s Day. Even though the restaurant was very busy, we arrived 30 minutes early and were seated right away, which we really appreciated. The place was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and there was even a photo zone, adding to the festive atmosphere. The service was excellent—our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered sushi, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. While the wait for our food was a bit long, we completely understand since the restaurant was packed, and everything was being prepared fresh. Overall, we had a fantastic evening. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

We took my daughter here to celebrate her 10th birthday and it was perfect. It was the 1st visit for all of us and we all enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, the service, and the food. The food portions were very generous and everything was delicious. We look forward to returning to try other items from the menu.

Google
5-Star Review for Phat Boy Sushi, Oakland Park Phat Boy in Oakland Park is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the perfect tone—modern, cozy, and inviting, with just the right amount of buzz. The food was phenomenal; every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi rolls were creative and melted in your mouth, and the ramen was rich and comforting. The service took everything to the next level. The staff was not only attentive but also so much fun—making the experience enjoyable and memorable. Visa, in particular, was outstanding! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time, providing excellent recommendations and a warm, welcoming vibe throughout the night. This is definitely a spot worth revisiting! Highly recommend it for a night out with friends or a cozy date night. Phat Boy delivers on all fronts—food, ambiance, and exceptional service!

Went while visiting FLL. We actually came back twice during our trip! Food was good and the atmosphere was nice. But what brought us back for a second visit was our server Visa. They were attentive, friendly and overall really easy to connect with. It really elevated the experience for us.

I placed a carry-out order for the first time. I have to say that I was beyond impressed. From the excellent customer service to the outstanding sushi rolls that I got. For starters, I have certain dietary restrictions; so I asked what was in the "house sauce". The waitress read the items and there was one item that I was allergic to so I asked if I change change the roll that had house sauce on it to eel sauce and she was more than happy to make sure that I got the eel sauce. I also noticed that the menu offered rolls to be "sliced thin" and found that to be not to my personal liking as it made it too difficult for me to pick up the slices with chopsticks. Next time, I will get my rolls cut normally. Everything tasted great and I really enjoyed my food.

Google
3-6 happy hour everyday. The Tako Yaki is a must try! So delicious and creamy. $6 10/10 The torpedo shrimp is outstanding with the sauce!! Also a must try. $8 9.5/10 Ramen is good not great. I’m not a huge ramen fan. It was a good size portion but I’ve had better. Tasted a little burnt to me. 6/10 Service was great and the place/vibe is really cool.

Phat Boy Sushi feels like stepping into a friend's house for a party with a guaranteed wonderful time! We sit at the bar most of the times during their A-mazing happy hour; it is truly unbeatable. The vibe is incredible, the food yummy and always consistent, the drinks delicious and generous, but most of all, the service is what keeps us getting back over and over. Kristin is a national treasure, with her smile, her jokes, her warmth, and her efficiency. She was born to do what she does, and she does it in the utmost wonderful ways. I have been in the hospitality industry for most of my adult life, and I see in Kristin the prime example of what service should be, but often isn't. So thank YOU, Kristin, for putting a smile on our faces with what you do, and thank you Phat Boy Sushi for your incredible atmosphere!

Yelp
Delicious. We ordered tons of appetizers. Salmon Aburi was excellent, fried cauliflower was good, sishito peppers could have used a little more/thicker sauce instead of the toppings they added, the krab rangoon dip was great, and the pork gyoza were excellently cooked. The flash fried bok choy was a bit disappointing as it was a greasier than expected. The pork belly and fried brussel sprouts were well cooked and flavored. I wasn't personally a fan of most of the roll options - I'm more of a crab person, and it was mostly tuna. But I got the volcano roll and enjoyed it. It was quite filling, and the baked mixed fish on top was awesome, with the cucumber adding the perfect crunch. The yakisoba and the chicken hibachi were enjoyed with no complaints.

Yelp
Not as good as the PBS in delray . My ramen tasted weirdly Smokey ....... I ordered spice and didn't get that either . Katsu curry was super thick and I ordered extra sauce ... Didn't get that much either .

Kalyn M.

Yelp
Loved trying this spot! We sat at the bar and there was a very nice and attentive bartender. We went for happy hour - and there were some great deals on food and drink. Ended up getting many things - some of which are not pictured. Spicy miso soup is a MUST. The Caesar salad is great ... VERY big... shareable. We also tried the Chicken Karaage which was phenomenal - will get that every time ... so flavorful! Also got the crunchy tuna roll (no cream cheese, added jalapeño) and it was amazing! The only thing we tried that wasn't a "re-order" item was the Chicken Katsu with barbecue sauce - it was pretty much all breading, almost no chicken at all. Other than that it was yummy, lively, clean and overall fun place to go for any occasion. They did sing a happy birthday song 2-3 times to other tables while we were there, which really livened things up for that minute or so.

Yelp
If you have read any of my other reviews, you know how much I love a good happy hour deal! And not only does Phat Boy have great deals on food and drinks THEY DO IT ON THE WEEKENDS!! We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and were able to be quickly sat. The parking lot was pretty cramped but we had no problem getting a table. Our server greeted us immediately and we had waters on our table soon after. After a quick look over the menu, we knew we basically wanted one of everything! We started with Lychee Martinis that were crisp, refreshing, and lightly sweet. For our first bites we ordered the Salmon Trio, of which I could've eaten ten, and the Tako Yaki, which I loved so much I ordered some to bring home to my boyfriend. Needless to say that our first round was a hit. Next we ordered the Cauliflower Tempura, Tuna Tartare Wontons, and Torpedo Shrimp. I honestly don't think I had a single bad bite. Everything was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. We ordered another round of drinks and got the Empress Martini, a perfectly light gin martini with a splash of citrus. I have been raving about this happy hour ever since I went and cannot wait to go back! If you've been wanting to check out Phat Boy, this is your sign, DO IT

Yelp
FOOD WAS AMAZING !!! SERVICE WAS EVEN BETTER !!! Ambiance takes your breath away ! 1st time I come here with my wife and wow this is one of our new favorite spots ! Ordered so many items even desert and the bill was only $120 so very good pricing on food! DEFINITELY recommend this place and I will definitely be coming a lot more.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here with my family and boyfriend. I chose the Crunchy Tuna Roll, my brother got the Spicy Ramen, my mom got the Rainbow Roll, and my boyfriend got the Chicken Katsu. Each sushi platter came with a decent amount of rolls but they were small in size, leaving my mom and I hungry. Keep in mind the plates were at least $16 each. The noodles for the ramen were over cooked and stuck to the container but the broth was spicy as requested. The chicken katsu was the star of the night, so crispy and tender. Probably the best thing at this establishment. Definitely not the best sushi place in town by a long shot. Another basic chain that is too expensive for the portion size.

Amber D.

Yelp
Found this place here on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We are not from the area and wanted something refreshing and delicious. The food is good, a little bland, but overall I think it's good. I would give it 5 stays but lack of flavor and service deducted a star. The server was not very friendly and slow.. for the restaurant opening a half hour before we got here we expected a little better service. If I'm ever in the are again, we might try it again but I think it's more of a one and done for us.

Vincent V.

Yelp
Order takeout entirely at your own risk. For a takeout order, it seems my expectations were too high. The ramen miso tasted great but the pork was three quarters fat. Not sure how I can justify going back to this location after already having had a so so experience at another location closer to home. The chicken yakitori appetizer seemed to be sized for a baby - so small. The vegetable it is supposed to be paired with was half onion, half zucchini. Both seemed barely distinguishable from the skewer on which they had been pinned. The chicken tasted overcooked and burned. Because I ordered directly from the Phat Boy's own Web site, I was surprised to hear when calling to complain that they could not do anything to remedy the problems with my order. The hostess suggested that I contact the third party provider that processed the order. How is anyone supposed to know that when the order confirmation does not mention that and does not even provide an order number? It seems best to eat at the restaurant itself. P.S. There is no third party. The only contact for online orders appears to be a phone number to the location itself.

Yelp
OK so, first of all, comes the bartenders who always seem to be my introduction to restaurants. Martin and Kristin were there the first night I tried them out and despite the fact that they were super busy, they were very patient and friendly. They were super efficient and were on their game. My fantastic personality was not the reason for their amazing service. (Just kidding). The drinks were great and the sashimi I ordered was fresh and expertly prepared and generous. So, I tried Phat Boy again the next night. Martin and Kristin were there again, remembered me, and though they weren't as busy (it was earlier) they were fantastic..even willing to play along with my "games". Tonight I had the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp. It was really, really good. I didn't realize that it was happy hour so after (ah hem) a couple of drinks I had a Pink Tequila Lychee Shot (as a pallette cleanser) and a "Japanese Sour" with my meal. Everything was delicious and the associated service was fantastic. I am here for another night, so should I try Phat Boy again even though Martin and Kristin might not be there? Maybe. Keep doing what you're doing and always getting it right! I wish I lived here...or was a restaurant owner, so I could eat here more often or steal them away. Good job Phat Boy...you couldn't be any phatter.

Maya L.

Yelp
I stopped by for happy hour it was pretty good. The happy hour menu is just a bit too limited for me....not many options at all. I've ate here during regular hours and enjoyed the food.

Yelp
We got to the area near the hospital an hour before my appointment. We were hungry and drove to Phat Boy. We knew what we wanted and quickly gave our order to Dada (sorry if I misspelled that). I told her that we had 38 minutes until my appointment, so we'd appreciate it if they could quickly serve us (we were the first customers in the restaurant). The Tofu Agedashi arrived and within 3 minutes, we DEVOURED the dish! The exterior was crisp and sitting in a delicious, light sauce. The boniato floss gave it the right touch. The cooked salmon, avocado, asparagus and masago rolls were great - we each ate 2 pieces and packed the rest. Dada provided boxes and a check so we could fly outta the restaurant. She was so friendly and helpful. We got to the hospital in time and actually ate the rest of our rolls while at the pharmacy drive-thru! It was too good to wait to eat! So, we learned that not all Phat Boy restaurants are the same - this one is our fav - and when we find ourselves in the area, we'll certainly go there for lunch. Just next time, we'll leave more time to enjoy the meal, and likely order a bit more!

Ariella V.

Yelp
Would love to update this review to something much better. Went in to eat last weekend with my best girlfriend. Haven't been inside of phat boy to dine in a long time. Did not disappoint. We started with gyoza. Was delicious and steamy. Perfect all around. Then we ordered yakisoba noodles with chicken and a red dragon roll. Both were so good. Sushi was so fresh and the noodles had such a great flavor to them. Really enjoyed myself and look forward to dining there again soon.

Claire S.

Yelp
The service is excellent at Phat Boy. We never waited for drinks, our water was always full, and the food came out in a timely fashion. There was a decent crown considering the weather, which was torrential downpour and flooding; that tells me that Phat Boy probably has some regular customers. Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with the food itself. We started with a few appetizers, including the short rib, the steak jerky and the chicken wings, and none of it was all that tasty. The Trio Sushi Roll and the Miss Liz roll were pretty good, so maybe it's best to stick with sushi here.

Zita C.

Yelp
Stopped in on a rainy day for a late lunch, so it was a little quiet. Service was prompt and very pleasant. I ordered the Shroom Noodles which was a vegan option of Udon Noodles Wok Tossed with 3 Assorted Mushrooms, Spinach, Garlic, and Truffle Oil. Although I thought the portion looked smaller, it was actually quite filling! I love the thicker/heartier texture of the Udon Noodles and the Mushroom variety was plentiful! Flavors - YUM-MY! My BF had the TanTan Ramen, to which he added chicken. Also delicious! Perfect for the rainy day outside!

Natalie S.

Yelp
I'm driven by hundreds of times but never come in here. I came for dinner on a Saturday night with my mother. There was a party of 20-25 young kids and so it was very loud in there. We asked the waiter for a Table away from them and that helped, however I realized they play the music very loud in there so it's hard to talk. I ordered the pork and chicken gyoza, seaweed salad and the pork belly skewers. We really liked all three of them. My mother ordered the yakisoba noodles with chicken. I really didn't care for the sauce on the noodles. They do have a full Sushi menu so if you're a sushi fan it's worth checking out. Their menu has a lot of egg noodles and udon but no rice noodles The waitet was good and attrntive.

Laima P.

Yelp
In one word not impressed! Drink ( watermelon) had very distinct artificial flavor more like bubble gum and very sweet Rolls were ok - nothing outstanding! Appetizer was good though- tuna in seared salmon Stuff is very friendly But I shall not be coming back...

Yevgeniya R.

Yelp
Never ate inside of the place but have seen this pop up all over broward. We got them as our lunch in at work and I must say I wasn't that disappointed either the food. It was a decent amount and had good flavor. Maybe next time I'll try something else

Carmen M.

Yelp
Great service and ambience. There is a lot of space and the decor is nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We came for lunch with a toddler and they were so nice. They quickly set up the high chair as we approached the table and offered a kid's cup with water right away. I can't say enough have nice and welcome the staff was. They took our orders quickly and the food came out pretty fast. Because we came during lunch, we were able to try the lunch menu which comes with a soup (miso soup) or salad (w/ ginger or wasabi dressing). I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and although the broth wasn't super spicy, it did have pepper flakes, so there was a bit of a kick. The ramen also came with plenty of squiggly noodles, and grilled chicken strip. We also ordered the kid's chicken fried rice, which was tasty and quite a large portion for a kid., and the chicken and broccoli teriyaki, which was pretty good. I would definitely recommend checking out Phat Boy if you are craving good, affordable Asian food.

Miriam G.

Yelp
My husband and I both enjoyed our meal. It was very large. I'm taking half of it home. The place inside is super cute and very clean. I would definitely come again.

Krysten C.

Yelp
Great happy hour for food and drinks. Always friendly bartenders and I crave the coco ramen!

Lauren Z.

Yelp
AMAZING!! Beautiful, light, clean eating roll. I ate the whole thing and didn't feel guilty . My mom had the Bacon Wrapped Scallops which were delicious as well.

Monika K.

Yelp
tried and true, as you can see by their multiple locations around the area. the tuna money bags were delicious, i love their spicy miso soup and their hamachi crudo, chicken katsu doesn't disappoint crispy and juicy for the non sushi eaters as well as their ramen choices . usually sit at the hightop close to the bar, parking free inside the lot. Phat boy is a sofla staple for consistently good foods.

Whitney T.

Yelp
My service was amazing. The ambience at Fatboy sushi is always nice and cozy. I ordered hot green tea to drink, the salmon sushi, Trio. And the shouyo Ramen.

Maria A.

Yelp
Love this spot and the Happy Hour menu. Sat at the bar, and service was fabulous. I visited this place multiple times on that trip to Florida.

Dimeisa M.

Yelp
If you want good Asian food and sushi I do not recommend the phat boy sushi franchise. The rolls and food is not fresh or authentic. It's very unseasoned and they always add one more ingredient more than the other. The service is good and the ambience is good as well that's the only reason I gave it another star. But try more local authentic places before coming here.

Renaldo S.

Yelp
Food is always great but service has gone to crap. Second time I've went in for lunch and the servers have just talked to customers at the bar about everything for 10 plus mins while ignoring me and other customers. Best to get the food to go.

Nesha L.

Yelp
One word... AMAZING. My husband took me here for date night. We had the dragon rolls which were fresh, seasoned well and delicious. I had the creamy chicken ramen which had coconut milk in it and it was soooo good. I would definitely be back.

Man Wai W.

Yelp
I went with a party of 16 for my husband's birthday around 1:30 pm. It was the only restaurant around that allowed a reservation for such a large party. They sat us towards the middle of the restaurant. I was afraid the music would be too loud as indicated in some of the reviews but it was fine. I started with the strawberry and watermelon smash and it was delicious. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and the Brussel sprouts and pork belly as apps. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The Brussels were a little bit too sweet with too much maple syrup but the crispness was still there. Not the best I've tasted but it was still good. We shared the seabass and the cilantro hamachi roll. The seabass was served on a bed of fried rice which was a nice surprise. It was definitely enough to share. And I love how they added the kale in the fried rice for crunch. Overall the dish was delicious. The seabass was cooked perfectly. The cilantro roll was good also. I love the cilantro taste in it. It was different. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Help me. I blame myself. I know better. When my go to sushi place is closed I always find myself falling victim to Phat boy. Thinking they have changed their ways, then the food comes and BAM! I am thrust back into the throws of false promises and failed dreams of fairly priced food for the evening. In fairness, their pros remain: They are fresh- always timely- and their food is very good. However, their cons have now been confirmed time and time again: I cannot understand how we justify paying $7 for 1 piece of flying fish egg sushi. It's not even all egg! It's mostly rice and seaweed wrap. Phat boy, I do like you, but you are on another level of cray to hold the prices you do. This is my official breakup notice. This photo represents the last meal we shall have together. I will take my almost $100 worth (yes, after tip this was almost $100 worth of food!? See!) and find someone else who can give me more for my worth.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
BEST SUSHI EVER!!!! Phat boy sushi is by far the freshest and most creative best atmosphere and ambiance of any sushi restaurant ever. We have family in D.C. that eat in the very finest and top rated restaurants in the world and they too say that phat boy sushi is by far the best sushi they have ever had! Huge statements! Nick is our favorite chef! He always makes us the JJ ROLL! Which is a modification of the hamachi cilantro roll. It's adding extra hamachi to the top and the inside, no cucumber, extra cilantro, light rice. Everything else as is! OMG delicious!!! The staff always has the best attitude and the service is top tier every time! Thank you for being my number one go to place going on 8 YEARS now! Love all y'all so much! Whitney and I love you!

Joe D.

Yelp
4 star ambience, 4 star food, 3 star service. Good sushi restaurant with some service hiccups, slightly aggressive pricing and parking problems. 4 star ambience: Interior ambience is terrific with mood lighting, a stylish but sensible layout and very cool art touches. Exterior parking problems are pretty obvious...the lot is too small for the business and was formerly the valet for the previous restaurant to occupy the space. Each visit it has been a nightmare of entitled luxury car drivers double parking or blocking the exit, coupled with badly marked entry / exit and poorly lighted signage. 4 star food: The sushi, sashimi, tempura, etc is good but not great. Sushi and sashimi were fresh and well made but nothing extraordinary. Tempura was over-battered and over-fried to the point of shoe leather-like consistency. Prices were slightly higher than they should be. 3 star service: Each visit has been somewhat chaotic and slow service, starting at the front desk. There always seems to be more than one host seating, but each time they are either talking to one another or otherwise not quickly seating customers. Every visit of three there was confusion as to which server was on our table, to the point of needing to repeatedly flag down random servers to get orders placed and food delivered. This is based on a composite of 3 visits. The parking and service problems popped up 3 of 3 times. The parking and service issues seem fixable, but in a little more than a year open, have not been addressed.

Kat S.

Yelp
Great happy hour HH and we always leave happy. The rolls are a good value and thick! They are also very attentive to kids. It's always very cold inside- bring a jacket.

Ben B.

Yelp
Good service, consistent food & reasonably priced. Great casual spot with good takeout as well.

Judy C.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a long time! Me & my friend decided to go for lunch. We both had the sushi lunch special which for $13 included a choice of salad with ginger dressing or soup. We had salad, it was so fresh & yummy but somebody over poured on vinegar!!It also included 6 pieces of sashimi - this is chef's choice- we had tuna, salmon, shrimp & a white fish and also included a California roll. But we asked to get this roll upgraded to tuna roll( $2 upcharge...so worth it)!!! OMG everything was so fresh...it was amazing! But a heads up...Phat Boys Wasabi is super hot. I like a lot of wasabi with my sushi, but their wasabi...you only need a little because it has such a kick! We will definitely be going back soon! I'm so sorry, because I forgot to take photos and our plates were pieces of art with the fresh fish we had on our plates! I was too hungry and forgot all about taking any photos...Next time.

Carin T.

Yelp
Excelente food. Super friendly staff. The place is so cute with an outside lounge style and indoor family and bar ambiences. It's one of our favorite places

Blake T.

Yelp
Great place very comfortable ambience food is outstanding and Services is great. Must come for happy hour between 3 6/2 off drinks and half off appetizers really stretches out that dollar.

Tyler C.

Yelp
Nice upscale feeling Japanese spot. Food was very good, with a lot of both sushi and noodle options. Service was great, our waitress was very helpful with our party's dietary restrictions.

Sam Z.

Yelp
Outstanding service. Josh tended us the other night. I have been to this location many times, service had been okay until we met Josh. Best service we have had there. His attention to the little things made the food taste even better. Thank you Josh and hope the management treats you right. Sam

Erica E.

Yelp
Really great seafood! Their service was a bit slow for not being very busy and some of the main orders came out before the appetizers. Beyond that, the taste and spices were amazing. I can tell why they are rated so high.

Melodie M.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a whim to grab some sushi. On a weekday late afternoon, the restaurant was pretty quiet. My friend and I sat in a booth with a nice view of the entire restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive; thank you! We ordered the salmon sushi trio off the happy hour menu. It was delicious! The only problem was trying to split the final piece LOL! I ordered a dragon roll. It was great, but I found the baked fish on top to be a tad heavy. They were very generous with the amount of this topping. I ate the entire roll straight away, and this satisfied my sushi needs... for the week! I would definitely return to try out more items.

Pat D.

Yelp
June 2023, this place has plenty of parking, the inside has plenty of booths and tables. Our server was wonderful, she took great care of our table. This is the first time I was at this restaurant and happy we came here. The inside has a nice vibe. I ordered the Cali Roll, which was fresh, and the Banging Shrimp that was delicious, my friend ordered the Miso Soup, the Harumaki, 3 crispy Vegetable spring rolls, and she said everything was delicious. Honestly, they have a wide variety of items to order from on the menu, so I know there is something for everyone. All and all, I would come back here again if I ever wanted Sushi.

Pete D.

Yelp
Good food, enjoyable, ambience, and decent service. Always have an enjoyable meal from sushi to stirfries it's all good. We keep going back.

Ian S.

Yelp
This will be the lost time I go back to Phat Boy. I wrote before how great it was before they got very popular. Then I wrote how the quality changed. Last night was the last time. Reasons are: Miso Soup was like pure salt Tuna crunch roll again had no tempura flakes. Volcano roll was burn on top The waitress was hardly at our table Had to ask another server for dishes and silverware Ordered watermelon basil smash. First one tasted like watermelon second tasted like basil. Maybe is they mixed them together it would have been right. So sad. I know the owners could care less because they are so popular, but people that have been going since they first opened have to see the difference. Like I said before quality and customer service have been thrown in the trash.

Kiks Y.

Yelp
Food is always good and fresh, drinks are not bad, service is excellent. When we crave sushi Phat boys is one of the top places we like.

elijah c.

Yelp
All around a great experience and good food ! Wish there was another location a bit closer but worth the drive

Josie W.

Yelp
Great place for sushi. We used to go to another sushi restaurant in Fort Lauderdale but we found this one to be better. We have gone to Phat Boy a few times, even back when they had a smaller location. Their new location is not far from their previous location, but it is definitely an upgrade. Much bigger and very nice. Service has always been great when we've gone. I really enjoy their happy hour and they have drink and food discounts. Whenever we visit FL we usually make it a point to stop here!

Yelp
We always order online to pick up or delivery . I love their sushi and the choices the have for gluten free. The have GF next everything that is gluten free which it makes easier if you need this (like me) Also their sushi is fresh and worth the price. Miso soul is good . Salí y mido is really good but very hot . My fiancé has rider ramen and he says is great . Our kids love the fried rice.

Yelp
Amazing food and the service is incredible! I highly recommend the fried chicken app and the gyoza to start. They Yakisoba noodles are mouthwatering and the curry chicken is to die for The ambience is wonderful. They play soft music that you can hear, but not loud enough to where you have to shout when trying to speak with each other.

Yelp
Great vibes. Great rolls. Great drinks. Snagged a table for one on a Sunday night and ended up very impressed with the menu offerings here - it was hard to choose! Their menu is pretty extensive - from simple rolls, yakitori, ramen, signature Phat Boy (PB) rolls, sashimi and more. Cocktail menu all sounded yummy and I opted for the refreshing Tokyo (vodka, cucumber, Yuzu). I had a hard time settling on a roll and my kind waiter recommended the Holy Crab: it did not disappoint. If you're looking for something different to tease your palate - a roll that is super refreshing thanks to the lemon and cilantro - this is it! Between my roll and my drink - I enjoyed very light and delicious flavors for dinner! Although it has multiple locations, it didn't have "chain" vibes at all - very warm, welcoming and intimate. LOVED the outdoor seating area full of greenery and hanging lights. I'll definitely come back here whenever in Fort Lauderdale!

Yelp
I can finally say I ate at Phat Boy Sushi! I came here for dinner with my cousins and was amazed I haven't eaten at this restaurant sooner. My cousins are local to Oakland Park and told me that this location recently moved to this newer spot which is bigger than where it previously was. Parking is a bit of a struggle as it was packed for Friday night dinner. I was sincerely surprised at how many people were inside and couldn't help but wonder where they all parked. Tip: Carpool if you plan to come with a larger group. When you walk in, you see a wall of Sapporo beer, held in a clear glass case. The interior is absolutely beautiful and looks perfect for dinner if you want to impress any guests. We ordered a bit of everything with 4 sushi rolls, Galbee appetizer, lychee martinis, and gyozas. Everything was delicious! I am a bit of a snob when it comes to sushi so it might not have been my favorite but was still very good! If sushi isn't your thing, they also have other dishes like ramen and fried rice. I will definitely be back to try more!
