Definitely nice vibes. Everyone there cheery, chill & there to enjoy the music and great atmosphere. We didn't run into any rude obnoxious people. Definitely a great festival to bring the whole family of all ages. Lot's of vendors with merch. Checked out one of the campsites & would love to camp out next time. People really go all out to personalize their campsite. Music & vendors there too. Great food options like one of my favs, Humpty's Dumplings 😋 Other great food vendors. Red Cedar Grill had amazing brisket nachos, mac & cheese with variety of toppings, pulled pork sandwich. Frozen Fruit in Chocolate was soooo yummy. The Piergogi Place had delicious pierogies & kielbasa. Federal Donuts with their delish fresh donuts & chicken sandwiches. Broccoli Bar with great vegan eats. These are just a few that were there.

Great tradition. Everyone is super friendly. Family friendly, wholesome, great music, fun party in the camp after the shows wrap up. Would recommend for all ages.

An experience unlike any other. For four days I was surrounded by beautiful music and people, and was able to create memories that I wouldn't trade for anything. The Philadelphia Folk Festival is something that I feel everyone should experience at least once, for after that one time you're not going to be able to go without.

It's a great place to go out for a weekend to enjoy the outdoors. It is really cool just to walk around and see the different little set ups that everyone has. Some people have these magnificent tents set up. They also have a section where you can walk and there are a bunch of tents set up where you can buy little things. They have a concert everynight. I wouldn't say this is a kid friendly place though. There is a lot of smoking and alchohol passed around, and they have a river by the camp ground where people skinny dip. Some people are dressed in skimpy clothing. It I definitly a place for a more adventurous person.

Yelp
It's a really magical place and I loved being part of it this year as part of prevention outreach and an observer.

Yelp
I been going here on 16 years. I always have such amazing time. I gotten into music more since I've been going here. Great music. They always find someone that I love or like. They have some acts I don't care for & some acts I do & not everyone will like the same as me. I also won't like the same as them. Great atmosphere. I never had any issues with anyone attending here volunteers/campers/people for the day. Everyone here seems to look out for another. It can be lot of walking bring good sturdy shoes. The bathrooms aren't that bad if you don't mind using a porta potty just for the weekend. The crafters have some good stuff. The souvenirs are always great I always find something that I love to get every year. I would highly recommend this place if you love camping or even the music.

Yelp
Well, first of all, i'm a bit upset to knnow that fellow yelpers have not discovered the wonder that is known as philadelphia folk festival, or as the locals of schwenksville say "fest". This has been a staple of my summers since i was a toddler, Folk fest combines camping, art, music, and all around joy all crammed into a short four days of goodness. I have met by far the most nice, odd, and interesting people here. the party never ends, and theres never a time where everyone is sleeping all at once, so no matter what time of day or night it is, theres someone or something to entertain you, and it is by far worth the money. Camping is a must, but if you fear that you cannot bear the insanity, at least get a day show pass and come jam to some amazing music. check out all of the arts and crafts, and spend at least an hour in a hammock in dulcimer grove. overall, folk fest is a staple to my summer happiness, and even if i move away, i will always plan to return for this.

Yelp
This is a once in a lifetime event that happens every year. It's very hard to even put Fest into words as a review. They have music, food, fun, friends, and Dulcimer Grove. The many themed camps and signs make each year the "same" while being totally "different". One year there were run away tents due to wind. An amazing time if you like folk music and camping and using port-a-potties. But if you've heard of fest it's probably because you've already gone or you know someone who travels thousands of miles each year to return home to Fest. If this is your first time hearing of Fest, I would strongly recommend that you check it out.

Yelp
This music festival is the highlight of my summer. Full of foolishness and mayhem of the best kind! There's a fatastic party in the campgrounds, fantastic music on the stage, and a friendly atmosphere that makes you want to go on a walk about and meet everyone in the campground. You can volunteer and work for a minimal fee or you can be paying customer and sit back and relax, enjoying all that the Fest has to offer. Every year as I leave I think about how much time there is left until the next one.

Yelp
This has been a family tradition for my entire life. We'll be Festing from home this year, but we wouldn't miss it! We can't wait to go back next year!

Yelp
This year the festival became an unfriendly place and hostile to those with disability. I am currently seeking therapy for the stress and psychological damage I am still dealing with. I was stalked. Not just by a larger group of long time campers who believed they were in charge and staff that participated in the harassment. My personal privacy violated. My feeling FEST being a safe place is forever destroyed. My personal information may have been compromised. My personal peace and joy were stolen from the experience. I did nothing wrong because no one came to me to discuss a problem. They need to get rid of the police state security and bring back the people who love the Festival because this group this year had no compassion or empathy. Absolutely no understanding of what it means to be at FEST, or what it means to have an invisible illness. I witnessed jokes and heard comments made directly before me and about me. I had no one to turn to because their security was in on the situation. I will never recommend this festival to anyone again until it is restored to its peace loving state. If a legal PA patient can be investigated and stalked to determine her disability status by the cooperation of campers and those who run the security then NO ONE with disability is safe and there is something seriously wrong with the system they have created. This wouldn't have happened to me last year. I would have had people I trusted to stop the harassment. I spoke to my committee and they moved my camp with great pain to my physical condition, but the perpetrators found me and continued their harassment. I felt completely alone and totally without any resource to stop the torment.

Yelp
as a close personal friend to the Godshall's who own this land i get to experience this every year. Last year had the BEST food, and great crafts and other things. this is also great for the whole family, you can listen to music, experience food, friendly people, they have crafts for the kiddies and the give or take jugglers are the BEST BY FAR! (they come every year and truly something you don't get to see every year) I strongly say everyone should go once in their life time.

Yelp
The Philadelphia Folk Festival is my four favorite days of the year. Every year I see some of my favorite performers as well as get introduced to new acts that are equally as good. I have attended other music festivals which were not run nearly as well as the Philly Folk Fest. I don't know how they do what they do with all of the challenges they face including the weather, malcontents criticizing everything on social media, changing times and competition for time in an increasingly busy, electronic world. Kudos to Justin Nordell, Lisa Schwartz, the entire Philly Folksong Society and their board, especially John McGlinchy. Thank you!
