Best Spots to Dine at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) - Eater Philly

"Despite repeatedly ranking in last place among large airports based on an annual survey of customer satisfaction, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has some above-average dining options to ease the stress of flying. Some of the top spots — including a restaurant from celebrity chef Michael Symon and one of Philly’s favorite sandwich shops, Jim’s South St. Famous Cheesesteaks — even offer online ordering." - Ernest Owens

Google
Overall a very clean airport and I can’t fault the airport for the stupidity of airlines making you run from one terminal to the next. Just remember best food and shops are in the main terminal. This is a layover airport for me so I don’t know of parking or security lines.

Naomi Sprung

Google
The airport moves you along pretty smoothly. The signs let you know updates about your flight. It is kept pretty clean but the bathrooms se very old and the airport needs updating. They keep it very warm which is not pleasant after a long flight. The people are helpful and they have some cute shops to go shopping if your flight is delayed.

Google
Not a bad airport - some bathrooms are really nice, not all. Some interesting art scattered and a nice open baggage area. Kind of hard to navigate to get to rental car facility. Not the best signage to help navigate and info desk misled us to walk to Avis. Which was not a good idea. Carts are not free which is okay but I know a lot of places are moving to free carts. Nice shops and restaurants though.

Google
Fun airport. We had a 3 1/2 hour layover, and it was enjoyable to look at all of the things. A really fun touch was all of the movies that were filmed in Philadelphia, and the fun artwork pieces. Edit: we flew back through PIA on our way to Minneapolis. The process of going through customs to walk your checked bag to another belt was interesting, but my wife signed up for the app (MPC), and that made the process of getting through customs much easier. We then proceeded to walk outside to the sea gates instead of the egg gates so that we could get through security more quickly.

I arrived at the airport in the morning on a weekend on Saturday. There are many choices in terms of restaurants where we can have breakfast but I found it difficult to find the price because I saw there are menus on the wall screen without price. I hesitated entering the restaurants for breakfast because I don't know how much it's going to take. I found out that there are many bars. Even in the morning I see people sitting on the counter drinking. I'm wondering if they're drinking alcohol or they're just drinking morning coffee? I was Thursday because I didn't had any drink on the airplane. I wanted to buy water but after I scanned the water bottle I first find out the water cost $6 and I gave up and went straight to the Starbucks which I know exactly how much it is because I'm using the app. I'm astonished by the low rating of the Starbucks but I didnt find any problem with the service and also taste. I would suggest you scan the QR code outside of the restaurant and look at the menu before you entered. There are many places where you can got water if you have an empty bottle. So probably next time I will bring my water bottle when I came to Philadelphia airport. But if you have no problem with spending money in the airport, this place has a lot of places that provides you food, drink and all the things you need. And they are open early in the morning so 4 stars for the variety of choices.

Google
Philadelphia International Airport is a very large airport with terminals that are quite spread out, so be prepared for a long walk if you're making a connection. On the plus side, there’s a wide variety of restaurants and shops throughout the airport—plenty to explore if you have the time. Some areas feel a bit gloomy and dated, while others seem more recently renovated and modern. Signage is clear and helpful, which makes navigating the airport relatively easy. It's far from my favorite airport, but overall, it's acceptable.

Google
This was my first time connecting here. We landed at terminal F and had to go all the way to B. They have a shuttle you take to get to.each terminal. There was no wait and were at our gate in about 5 minutes. The airport has a cool vibe with lots of shopping and food choices. The gate we boarded at was chaotic as we were on a large, sold out plane going across the US. I felt the boarding process could have had better communication and coordination but overall we boarded without issues. We were on the tarmac, in line, for 20 minutes waiting to be cleared for take off. This is a congested airport but overall not an awful experience.

Google
PHL is an easy and reliable airport. It is clean and easy to navigate. There are plenty of nice restaurants and places to shop at in between flights. They have walking connectors and shuttle service to get between a few of the terminals. I’ve never had any issues when flying through Philly.

Yelp
recently visited Philadelphia airport. Only showing a photo taking flight. Wish there was more seats in a cramped up airport. But nonetheless a great experience

Yelp
This airport is in need of a makeover. It is extremely dated. On my last trip there were flooded bathrooms that looked to be avoided by cleaning staff. The TSA prioritized the standard line over TSA pre-check, so the pre-check line took much longer than the standard line making it pointless to have pre-check. The TSA here also did not have any sense of urgency so the lines move at a snail's pace even with a shorter line queued. I have had delayed or canceled flights at a much higher rate at PHL than I've had at any other airport. I see the airport has planned updates. Hopefully significant improvements are made for this airport to be up to par.
google avatar

Glen M.

Yelp
Outdated signs direct you to permanently closed lounges, gates are old fashioned, only one TV per gate so no live updates on standby or upgrade status... But, planes land and takeoff so I guess it's still functional. Enjoy!
google avatar

Ricarta C.

Yelp
This is a nice airport. Very clean and convenient with several stores and restaurant options while traveling. Gates have friendly employees but the TSA agents are so rude and pushy especially with families. I travel a lot and they seemed to be the worst as far as friendliness and attitude. Bathrooms at this airport as super clean and well stocked. I loved that the air port shuttles and drop off were easy.
google avatar

Erica D.

Yelp
Nice airport, very efficient. I also like how organized it was and traffic flowed pretty quickly.
google avatar

Natasha A.

Yelp
Signage at the terminals are great but not at the lower transportation level. Signage will be above you, not at eye level. Also, this airport is not clean.
google avatar

Lanasha R.

Yelp
First time at PHL and I loved the local art installations they had in terminal B. The airport was clean and they have so many shops available. I usually will opt to walk to my gate for a connection, but I didn't realize the Philly airport was so huge. Their air train operations run really well and thankfully, I was able to hop on the one headed to terminal B! Terminal B was really cool and as a music lover, I really appreciated their recognition of Philly artists and music history. The Dejeonge Reese installation featuring braiding hair turned into face masks was very eye catching, bright, and SO creative. I love the community representation!

Yelp
Philadelphia International Airport is not beautiful. It does not sparkle. It does not smell like lavender or efficiency. It is, by most aesthetic and sensory measures, a dingy place. The carpets are tired. The walls are beige in a way that feels philosophical. The restrooms sometimes feel like they've lost hope. Everyone working here seems vaguely mad at you. The person selling you a soft pretzel, the TSA agent patting your ankles, the gate agent announcing your delayed flight with all the enthusiasm of a funeral director. Most people aren't rude exactly. They just radiate the kind of low-grade hostility you normally only find at post offices and jury duty. The baggage claim deserves its own eulogy. I have never once received my luggage here in what I would call a "reasonable" amount of time. I once timed it at 37 minutes. That's long enough to grow weary of yourself and all your choices. I fly out of PHL frequently. I keep doing it. I eschew EWR to do so despite it being equidistant to me. And there's a reason. Several, actually. It is easy to get to. You can park on-site, off-site, in a garage, in a lot, or possibly in someone's backyard in Essington for five bucks if you ask nicely. The airport is surprisingly easy to navigate. If you know your terminal letter, you're going to be fine. No one is going to ask you to ride a monorail or solve a riddle to get to your gate. There are dining options open even when the sun is confused about what time it is. You want a burger at 6 AM? You can get a burger at 6 AM. You want something healthy? Good luck, but you can probably cobble something together with a little effort and low expectations. There is even a bus. A real, honest-to-goodness airside shuttle that will drive you from Terminal A to Terminal C to Terminal E, saving you from a long hike beneath fluorescent lights while dragging a suitcase with a wobbly wheel. That feels like kindness. PHL is not a luxurious experience. It is not an Instagrammable airport. It is a place that works hard and yells at you while doing it. It is, in short, the perfect metaphor for Philadelphia itself. Gritty. No-nonsense. Probably overdue for a renovation. But reliable, strangely proud, and surprisingly functional if you meet it on its terms. Three stars. Not because it dazzles. But because it shows up.

Yelp
PHL: Gritty, Busy, Surprisingly Charming (Sometimes) Philadelphia International Airport is... well, it's Philly. A little rough around the edges, sometimes chaotic, but full of character and weirdly functional once you get used to it. Is it the flashiest airport? Nope. Is it the most efficient? Depends on the terminal and the mood of the day. But it does get the job done, and if you give it a chance, there are some gems hidden in the mix. Pros: Terminal A-West is actually pretty modern, with high ceilings, decent food options, and a much more relaxed feel than some of the other terminals. Local food wins -- you can get a legit cheesesteak, Federal Donuts, or Chickie's & Pete's crab fries before your flight, which is honestly a power move. Layout is walkable if you're willing -- you can get between most terminals without re-clearing security, which is a huge plus. TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lines usually move faster than you'd expect. Cons: Delays and gate changes are kind of a way of life here, especially in bad weather. Some terminals (especially C and D) feel a little tired and cramped. Bathrooms can be hit or miss depending on the hour and the crowd. If you're connecting from a small regional airline to international, bring sneakers -- it's a hike. Pro tip: If you have a long layover, there's a surprisingly peaceful art exhibit tucked into some of the hallways, and the airport Wi-Fi is better than expected. At the end of the day, PHL is a working-class airport for a working-class city. It's not fancy, but it's got heart -- and some solid snacks.

Yelp
Ok! Lets talk the airport. I swear to you, PHL is like two different experiences... Let me explain. The Arrival: Arriving to PHL from Atlanta was cool. The gate was clean and all of the staff had smiles on their faces. As I made my way to baggage claim, I was able to stay the course as PHL provides ample signage so you can't get lost. Making my way around the bend, I stopped into the restroom and it was well maintained and the hospitality cleaners were close by with fully stocked carts. Once at baggage claim, my luggage was already on the belt so I was able to literally grab and go! As I obtained my bag, I looked around to see how to get to the shared ride pickup area and boom! Yet again PHL had ample signage that told me where to go. Special shout out to whomever it was that understood the assignment that there is no such thing as too many signs. My anxiety did not increase at all because this was a job well done. As I walked to the ride share area, I booked my ride and it was such a smooth process. The options within the Uber app were in direct alignment with the way PHL has the pick-up area strictured. The Color, Letter, and Number function was super easy to understand and made my pick-up an easy process without incident. Now, as it relates to the ambiance, walking the hallways from the gate to the ride share was bland. There was nothing bad, but it was boringgggggg. No vibrant colors, nothing that catches the eye, nothing to engage with. Just walls and floor. LoL! I guess Atlanta just has me spoiled. The Departure: Departing from PHL was a smooth process as well. Again, this signage made my route to check-in very easy. I checked in, dropped my bag, and was on my way to TSA. Once at TSA, the TSA Agents were very pleasant. No one had an attitude and they thanked you for your patience. Bonus points for the free above standard service. As I finished getting through security I was able to really see PHL shine. The hallways were vibrant and full of shops and OHL related sports memorabilia and historic images. As I had some time to get to my gate, I decided to walk slow since there was something to look at and really take it all in. I love the decor and setup of Terminal E. Terminal E is bright and inviting. The shop and food options allow for anyone to engage as there is a nice variety of options. Not only are the shops and restaurant options good, there are these super comfy leather chairs that line the hallway that allow you to just have a seat and get a moment to yourself. I decided to take a seat, pull my laptop out and get some work done before heading to my gate. The cleanliness of the airport remained as every single area was spotless. Whoever PHL has for a cleaning crew needs a Platinum Star as they are AMAZINGGGGGG! I didn't even see a piece of dust. As you can see from my details, my departure was a vibrant experience in comparison to my arrival. LoL! All in All, thank you PHL for providing a safe space for my travel convenience.

Yelp
Airports are well, airports. Been a hot minute since being here and man, this place is massive. 2 hr layover allowed for a long walk to all terminals....grab a bite to eat and then off on the next leg.
google avatar

Allyson M.

Yelp
My favorite airport, but I'm bias. It's always easy to glow through and navigate. They are always improving. Love the cell phone lot, however you are able to pickup and drop off curbside. American and United are the major commercial airlines.
google avatar

Jackie B.

Yelp
I could be biased because it's my first time here but overall my experience has been pretty pleasant. From the workers at the check in for Air Canada to the TSA workers, I didn't get to my boarding gate feeling stressed or overstimulated. This could also be due to the time of day/day of the week we went. Besides that it's your standard airport. I experienced both the bathrooms at the chase sapphire lounge and the bathrooms in the airport. Biased with the lounge as these bathrooms were clean and spacious. Can't say the same about the bathrooms in the airport. They were pretty dirty.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
An airport is an airport but I have nothing bad to say about this one and I came on Spirit lol. Lots of food options in this airport. I had a delayed flight and had to sleep on the floor type of moment but things were calm here and staff was great accommodating people. I love the easy transportation system here. The train comes every 15 to 30 minutes and it takes you straight into the Center City, hospitals, universities and main stops in Philadelphia.
google avatar

Shannon C.

Yelp
Stay clear during bad weather. They use the excuse to shut down the luggage ramps. Light rain at best and and they are holding all the passengers- like hundreds of people's cases and not giving it to them. With no sign or reason as to why or for how long.
google avatar

Monica H.

Yelp
PHL is a pretty cool airport if you just take the time to look around you. This airport is filled with contemporary artwork & Music history everywhere you go. At one point, I really felt like I was walking around a modern museum. I arrived at PHL on an International flight and had a connecting flight. Going through Immigration & Customs was fast and easy; it only took roughly 10 minutes. Shortly after, I was on my way to baggage claim to collect my luggage. Once I had my luggage, I then had to check my luggage back in for my connection flight home. PHL has really streamlined this process so it was easy and quick. Directional signs are clearly marked and friendly staff is there to help along the way. After checking my luggage for my connecting flight, I then had to go through TSA Security. This is a must if you are entering the country on an international flight and have a connection flight. As for the airport, there are a variety of shops, restaurants, fast food, and more to keep you busy and fill your belly if needed. There was minimal seating at the gate, so a good bit of us had to stand as we waited to board. I didn't mind standing because I had a 5.5hr flight ahead of me and wanted to keep stretching my legs, however, some elderly people had nowhere to sit as we all know these young folks these days refuse to give up their seats for those people who really need to sit. I digress... I found the area around the gate to be clean, modern and well lit. I would've given PHL 5 stars, however, I feel the restrooms really needed to be cleaned. Not sure if I arrived during a busy time, but several toilets weren't clean and a couple stalls had no toilet paper. Overall, my 3hr layover was a good one and I'd be totally cool if I ended up here again anytime in the future. Recommended!
google avatar

Emma N.

Yelp
Arriving here was fine, and they actually have a really well marked path to the ride share area and it was easy getting a Lyft. Leaving was much worse. Really long lines to get through security. Terminal E was really bad. The water fountain took forever to dispense water. The bathrooms were dirty. Not the best airport I've ever visited.
google avatar

Katherine A.

Yelp
This is an interesting airport with significant and interesting art throughout the terminals (at least Terminal A had lots of beautiful art and places to sit and watch the planes. Some exhibits of local history including musical and theater history throughout walk areas. The terminals are relatively new and spacious with lots of restaurants. On the main concourse, there are dozens of shops to grab you attention if you have a layover. There are multiple information booths throughout the airport and the staff is friendly and helpful. On the downside, the layout is linear and I landed in A and had to go to F. It was a long, long walk through congested areas, but I was able to find the shuttle after C to get to F. Maneuvering would have been challenging with a tight connection. The restrooms were inadequately small and there was always a line to get in. Many of the power stations in the terminal seating were broken or did not work. So, while I liked the art in Terminal A and choice of eateries, the functionality of the airport left me disappointed.
google avatar

Howard L.

Yelp
I flew in and out of this airport recently. What I can say about this airport is that if you have a carryon bag and are trying to catch a train, you can literally leave the plane and be on the train in 5 minutes! There was a long line for luggage at the baggage claim nor was there any signage about where the ride share area was at. After getting my ride share, I was out and about for a week. Coming back to the airport was easy. Going through Bags, wait times at TSA, checking out various stores at the airport and seeing what they offered were average but very overpriced like any other airport facility. Overall my experience at Philidelphia international airport was average.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're into cancelled flights, long lines, lost baggage, and dirty, dingy hallways and gates, you'll love Philadelphia International Airport. Every experience here is filled with one clusterf*ck after another. Tonight they had a bunch of people with connecting flights from Europe schlep their checked luggage to various spots throughout the terminal, only to be directed outside and back inside. The staff, however, is always friendly and does their best to help (hence the second star).
google avatar

Gabriella L.

Yelp
Truly never have an issue with lines here. I've flown in and out of this airport numerous times, and have heard stories about needing to get there very early for flights, but in my experience, things move pretty quickly. There are also a lot of food options in all terminals. It's not the world's best airport, but it's certainly not the worst!
google avatar

Jordana P.

Yelp
This is a horrid airport. There's room for about 1/4 of the passengers of a plane at each gate, so people are just forced to sit and lay on the ground all the way up and down the terminal, making the congestion ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe you don't need a bar every 30 feet, you could just have enough seats.
google avatar

Steff D.

Yelp
I don't know if it's when we came or the terminal we came in through, but... I liked this airport. When we recently visited at least, it was clean, it was spacious, there was plenty of place to sprawl out at gates where no flights were leaving from, there was a cute selfie spot (although I spent enough time there that I attracted the attention of security), the staff seemed friendly enough, we had no problem finding places to fill our water bottle-up (not sure what that other reviewer is talking about), going through TSA was easy enough, and it wasn't crowded at all (... but I'm used to the foot traffic and chaos of JFK or Heathrow, so perspective I guess?). We had so much time here that we walked the entirety of Terminal A, B, and C. All your basics available: Hudson News, Dunkin/La Combe/Starbucks for your coffee fix, some shopping options for your last minute Philly merch needs, and quite a few places to get nibbles. Vegan friends: a) Currito Burrito is a build-your-own burrito and bowl place with organic tofu as a protein option; b) Dunkin has hashbrowns; c) Brugger's has bagels you could top with hummus and fresh veggies; d) Chickie's & Pete's has crabfires (ask for no sauce) and it's a staple food you gotta eat when in Philly; e) one of the sit-down restaurants was offering a vegan seitan-based cheesesteak too, but I can't remember which place it was. Enjoy!

Yelp
As many times I have been through the Philadelphia airport, this is the 1st time I was able to pray in the Salaat area. Usually, I'm in another part of the airport and I just find someplace to pray there. What is unique about the Philadelphia airport is they have a wudu station attached to Salaat area. You will usually find a designated place to pray in most major airports, but not a wudu station attached to the prayer area... at least not in United States. All of this is due to Allah and the hard work and of The African American Muslims in Philadelphia and South Jersey to make our Deen a normal way of life.

Yelp
Great airport. Lots of public art in terminal A. We have an evening flight and will not arrive for at least 15 hours from now ugh. hopefully we'll get some rest in between now and landing.

Yelp
Philadelphia airport is really an outstanding airport. Love it! One of the major hubs for American airlines

Yelp
Im having a hard time writing a review for this airport. I've been in many and I think this could easily be the most forgettable one of them all. Nothing really stood out. It was clean but not spotless. It was well lit but not blinding. The signs were pretty straight forward and hung from the ceiling. I didn't go through security here, only landed. But there is a lot of connections to the northeast which makes it a perfect location to get in and out to more smaller airports and cities while also being a hub for international flights. Tons of eatery options to choose from. And they are in the middle of the gates. So you might see the terminal look like A1, A2, restaurants, A3, A4 etc. Baggage was there rather quickly. It helps that it was 630am and only a handful of flights landed. The walk to the baggage claim isn't far. There's a shuttle in between terminals if you're flying into one and have to get to another gate that's further away. Leaving the airport was a breeze. Plenty of staff around to direct you on where to go. One side of the building is for ride apps, taxis, and limos, the other side of the building is for shuttles and rental car, and your other option is to take public transportation called SEPTA. Which has a handful of stops. Train runs every 30 minutes. 11 minutes and 41 minutes after the hour. Itll take about 30 minutes to get to the city center.
google avatar

Teri S.

Yelp
My flight is delayed. Obviously not airport's problem. What is their problem is why is it always so freakin hot in here! It's a hotbox in here but not the fun kind. Used the bathroom. Messy as always. Only one sink out of 5 or 6, can't remember the number exactly, had soap.
google avatar

Gunner B.

Yelp
The facilities themselves could truly use for an update. There's nothing tremendously great or hopelessly awful about this airport but it could definitely use many renovations. The security lines are typically a bit cramped and crowded for the spaces they try to put them in but the TSA agents do a fair job of moving it as quickly as they can. I do enjoy all of the American airlines flights that come out of this airport.
google avatar

Raj S.

Yelp
Being in NJ , we have few different options to fly to other cities - EWR , JFK , LAG and then PHL ! We generally fly from EwR but Philly has some good offers . We get really cheap flights from Philly and choose this airport over others . Nice parking facilities inside and outside the airport .. TSA pre check was so fast . Never seen going through security in 2-5 mins ! All other airports it takes 10-30 mins depending on the crowd . It was easy to navigate to the terminals . Flights were on time . It's just 70-80 miles away from NJ . Saw Dunkin and other shops before boarding flight . Liked it overall . Good experience..

Jasmine T.

Yelp
This was my second time in Philly's airport. Thankfully, it wasn't as big as others I've been to. I stopped and got a smoothie for breakfast then waited on my plane to board. Despite already being pretty full of people, the place was pretty clean. There was someone in the bathroom wiping the sinks down and refilling toilet paper every few minutes. This was a pretty run of the mill airport experience.
google avatar

Troy H.

Yelp
I always enjoy flying into this airport. The time frame from gate to gate, entry to exit is reasonable and efficient. Also the stores in this airport also allow for convenience and efficiency. As you walk around this airport you will also enjoy some music history and some great sounds as you walk from gate to gate. Service is great as the staff are open to answer any of your questions.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
I flew into Philly for a short weekend trip. I've been here a number of times and never really had any issues so it's fine to fly in here. This was the first time I didn't rent a car , and I was pleasantly surprised how close it was to the city. Just a short $20 Uber ride and you can be in the heart of the city. Arriving was easy. It's a smaller airport and easy to navigate. Great signage throughout the terminal and finding the ride share pickup was easy. It was leaving that was a bit of a nightmare. TSA pre-check was backed up and very slow. Once through, there were a number of decent shops and places to eat. No Priority Pass lounge in any of the terminals. It seemed as though the airport was a bit disorganized. The gate was switched 3 times in less than an hour and when I got to the gate the agents didn't change the gate signs so there was mass confusion.
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
It is a long walk between terminals. There is no transit, so be ready to walk.thete are a lot of stores, but pricy. There are a lot of phone charging areas at each gate.
google avatar

Dudine J.

Yelp
I didn't really get a good feel for the airport. It seemed clean. Food prices at the restaurants are high. The signs are clear and concise.
google avatar

Tom S.

Yelp
I was actually pleasantly pleased with PHL. Arrival was fine and went the baggage claim. The signage was adequate, but the claim area is fairly small. On my flight, a bag got stuck at the top, so that delayed things a bit, but they came and fixed it quickly. There's an inner and outer loop for pick up and drop off and getting to car rentals. It's a bit of a walk to do that, but it works. The bus for Budget is way too small, so if you can, pick another. Leaving, got there too early for my airline, so the wait outside security was long and nothing to do. Once past security, the airport is pretty decent. There's a plethora of restaurants and shops, especially in the center of the terminal. D terminal is a bit sparse, but the center is nice. Between Newark and here, pick PHL for sure.

Yelp
A lot of people have crappy things to say about PHL but I've never had a problem with it. I've traveled from most major airports in the North East and PHL is always good to me! Quick security lines, the airport is not too large so you're not running for miles to get to your terminal, and it has a few good food options! I recently went on an international trip and it was a seamless experience. The best part is that it's about 15 minutes from home!

Yelp
My first time flying out of Philadelphia and it was a pleasant and smooth experience. There were plenty of tsa agents and airline workers where I could check in my bags and get through security in an efficient process. Once through security I was pleased with the cleanliness of the airport and also the bathrooms. There are also plenty of places to eat, grab a drink, and take airline snacks and drinks. It is easy to find your flight with plenty of screens showing connecting flights.

Yelp
This is the first time I went here. To my surprise, there are 3 birds inside the e-5 to e-9 gates. This is not safe. But other than that, everything is great.

Yelp
Philly airport gets it right with a 24/7 Starbucks near C 27. So many eateries and I spotted 2 massage spots with chairs outside the shop to get a quick neck or shoulder massage! Makes such a difference in travel. The bars were full at 7am- gotta love the Philly spirit! I noticed the eateries all had cute names as a theme of couple names...Bud & Marlyn's, Chickie and Pete's, or Balducci's. Fresh hot pizza, fresh hot bagels! So much food. You won't go hungry at the Philly airport---- and SO EASY TO GET FROM TERMINAL B TO TERMINAL C...with a couple moving walkways. It was no problem! Security lines are long so take an earlier hotel shuttle like I did! Then you don't stress... I enjoyed having time to leisure walk thru and I admired the lovely art. Looks like several artists got chosen to display their work of textiles, vintage telephones and vintage record players. I saw some really cute art. Hope you enjoy my pics! Oh and the neon lighted moving walkways were a nice touch! Thx for a smooth flight today Philly!

Yelp
It is hopeless. We were delayed so our connecting flight left. The airport treated us cruelly. We were left sitting overnight in baggage claim on benches with no sides or backs. They wouldn't allow anyone in the more comfortable part of the airport. There are no rooms in hotels, so we are stuck. Also, we are seniors, so it's way more difficult. And no one cared.

Yelp
Very nice layover at the Philly Airport. Not too busy while I was there, which made it nice. Easy access to comfy lounge chairs, bathrooms, they also had some nice touches- like lactation stations, tons of great art, a book lending spot and a short story station. A few of the charging tables were temporarily out of electricity but was easy to find another spot.

Yelp
I'm only giving a one star because that's the lowest this app. will alow me give them. I'm all about self service ordering and paying but for a sushi and some rice for $55 to be trash is a disgrace. My husband always said you can't go wrong with sushi. We've never had bad sushi until today and Shrimp Fried rice, nothing but rice gross, trash can't even throw away full to the top

Yelp
I'm traveling to Massachusetts with a stopover in Philadelphia. This is a beautiful airport. It is very large but it's easy to get around.

Yelp
Not my favorite airport but it's the closest to home. Cell phone lot and parking structure setup isn't the greatest so do expect a backlog of traffic. Terminals are ok. Setup to get through tsa was a bit hectic in some terminals but others are easier

Yelp
Mostly modern/updated airport. I noticed a ton of shopping options in terminal C, with many high-end options, which was cool. Terminal F is super far from C, where I pulled in. Luckily they offer a shuttle to take passengers over. It was super quick and easy. Didn't try a bathroom, so I can't speak to that. Quick layover, so I didn't eat anything or shop. The 30's gates in terminal f are all bunched together at the end of the terminal and a little confusing/hard to read for those with vision challenges. I had to get pretty close to the gate to see which number was which.

Yelp
Going to be winter this airport is very busy. It is taking a while to get the bag to the baggage claim. And of course, anytime winter things slow down, which is slow.

Yelp
Second time coming through this airport to get to New York. It was a small storm layover, so they let us vouch our tickets without pay, since it was not our fault, and I appreciated that. Decent airport with nice restaurants, and places to have breakfast. Great security here, and employees. TSA agents are professionals. Had no problems here.

Yelp
Simply put, it's not the worst, it's not the greatest. I've only experienced layovers here a couple of times. Most recently it was coming back into the country from Turks and Caicos. This situation was rather weird. I've never had to exit the airport and go to baggage claim to grab my bag only to go through TSA and security all over again when coming back into the country. I don't know if this is typical and for some reason this was just a first for me or what. How in the world would I be able to smuggle something into my checked bag mid flight? I wasn't the only one disgruntled about this so it had to have been weird for others too. Good thing my connecting flight was an hour later or I could have easily missed it. I'll wrap this up by saying that the bathrooms weren't the cleanest but they did have a good amount of food options. There were also a good bit of shopping options scattered throughout. I did like the Philly themed art everywhere and getting around was pretty easy.
