Market Place Buffet returns to Rampart Casino Resort later this month | Eater Vegas

"Proudly claiming the title of the “only buffet in Northwest Las Vegas,” the 12,000-square-foot Market Place Buffet returns to action at the Rampart Casino with an official August 26 opening. The resort remodeled the buffet in 2019 into a space large enough for 700 diners and, unusually for a traditional buffet, offers al fresco dining on its patio. Located on the promenade walkway between the JW Marriott Palms Tower hotel rooms and the main gaming floor, the buffet's new schedule includes a $29.99 prime rib dinner Thursday through Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., and a popular Champagne brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; both buffets are available for $24.99 for Rampart Plus, Summerlin, Premier, and Elite card holders. An all-you-can-drink beer-and-wine addition is advertised for $7.99 more, and the venue will feature culinary action stations, though the full scope of those stations has yet to be announced." - Bradley Martin

I stayed here over the weekend for a friend’s wedding and had an amazing time. I stayed in a king room in the Headhouse Tower and the room was really nice, high ceilings with a sitting area, standard hotel bathroom. The wedding was a multi day event and the hotel had several ballrooms and lounges to support each event, we never felt rushed and everything was conveniently located. It was also really close to Reading Market, so we were able to explore the market during a break in wedding events.

We got in a few hours before check in time (we drove and anticipated traffic) we walked into the lobby with our bags and were greeted right away by a front end staff member. Not a generic greeting. An actual human interaction with a genuinely friendly and friendly person. We chatted about the city and things to do. What brought us there. Just a nice way to start our stay. Fast forward a few minutes and not only were we in a room hours ahead of time but it was an upgraded room.

LOCATION: Very central to the Reading Terminal Market, Hard Rock, Macy's and shopping. LOBBY: Spacious area with a raised platform in the center with lounge seats & tables, and a restaurant off to one side. ROOM: Nice and spacious. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were firm. I hate those normally soft ones where your head is pretty much level with the bed. Cable was out for the entire night and next day. The bathroom is spacious with 1 sink and a shower/tub with okay water pressure and a quick drain. There was no parking in their garage, even for hotel guests. There are several lots nearby which are priced a little less but the walk is farther. SERVICE: Check in & out was fast and friendly. We didn't utilize any other hotel services.

I won’t be staying here next time I’m in Philly. The room temperature was chilly and controlling it via the thermostat didn’t work. Also, the breakfast at the 13 restaurant in the lobby was sub-par at best. The pantry and bar across did not add anything positive to the atmosphere of the hotel. Not many options at all. For the price of the hotel room and breakfast, quality should have been much much better. The staff was 50-50, some professional, while others downright rude. I was last here in 2018, and making a comparison to back then and today, 2025, quality has gone off the cliff. There are other hotels in town that I’ll check out next time. I don’t mind paying a lot of money for quality, but here, I paid a lot for quality equivalent to a motel on the wrong side of town.

I’m very impressed with the downtown Marriott and the staff. I’ve traveled a lot over the last 40 years and this location and the accommodations were great. Despite the view of the roof top it was fantastic. I wasn’t here long in by 1 pm on Saturday Wednesday and out 4:00 am on Thursday. As short as it was I never felt any anxiety or concerns about my safety or ability to go to my meetings or dinner. It was a great location and the staff from the bellman, front desk to housekeeping was all pleasant. I will be back in 6 weeks. As a Titanium Elite member this was a great part of my trip.

My husband and I had such a great experience staying here for a weekend trip! It was such a beautiful and clean hotel with lots of amenities, especially the cafe store on the main floor. Great staff here, specifically Jonathan at the front desk. He is truly a gem and was the sweetest and most polite person we've encountered during our stay! The room was very well cleaned, everything worked properly, and we had a great view from where we stayed. We were on the 22nd floor and it was very quiet which I loved! It's also a very convenient place to stay as you'll be in walking distance to do maybe great restaurants and the big market is right up the street. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Stay away!!! Paid valet for 3 days and they damaged our car. Refusing to properly investigate. Won’t give pictures of in and out because they know it was their fault.Checked out at 430 in the morning with no light. Didn’t really think I needed to inspect my car as I trusted the brand. Not the case anymore. Extremely disappointed in the commitment from Marriott. Room was subpar with gunk on the shower heads. Honestly really want to enjoy this place as we planned on coming back. $3,700 of damage to our car 😞. Thank you!!

The location of this property is ideal; however, it has really declined over the past few years in several ways. First, the rooms are in need of renovation. They’re not terrible, just outdated. The beds are comfortable, and the linens are nice, which I appreciated. Where I was very disappointed was with the staff’s lack of consideration. I was there working an event, and the banquet staff repeatedly shouted and slammed doors near the meeting rooms. I constantly had to ask them to keep their voices down. The housekeeping staff were even worse — they yelled in the hallways at all hours, and while cleaning rooms, they talked and laughed loudly on speakerphones, and yelling down the halls at each other. It was extremely disruptive.|I work odd hours and should be able to take a nap in my room at 2 PM without being disturbed by staff yelling and laughing nearby.|On a positive note, the front desk staff were wonderful — no complaints there. But truly, management needs to remind the housekeeping team that guests sleep at all hours and deserve a quiet, respectful environment. They should be focusing on their work, not chatting loudly on their phones.
