Pinoy Heritage Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Pinoy Heritage kicked off around 2016, and ever since then the Filipino pop-up has been making plates of pork lumpia, chicken inasal, sisig fried rice, and serving up everything from kamayan dinners to seven-course tasting menus. The secret key to any dish at Pinoy Heritage—or the team’s brick-and-mortar restaurant Abacá—are traditional Filipino flavors done up with California signatures. The next time you hear of a Pinoy Heritage pop-up or collaboration, best to drop all other plans and get there." - Lani Conway

It was a simple process for Notorized Documents. Staff was very helpful. Make an appointment, complete online forms and make copies of your documents. The only challenge was finding a parking, have someone drive you because they may have to circle around a few times. Thank you Philippines Consulate!

Make an appointment online. Get there early. There's a receptionist and sign in on the right when you first walk in. If you have a legitimate appointment then you will have to trade your drivers license for a badge that you keep with you til you sign out and leave. There will most likely be a line and you do have to go through a metal detector. Processing took me about 20 minutes.

Yelp
Hi, I recently visited Philippine Center on Thursday, April 4th around 3PM. I was expecting it to be a warm visit and great, helpful service. Although, I was wrong. It was the worst customer service i've ever experience in my ENTIRE life. They weren't helpful at all, and they expected me to know what to do, to know where things were, and HOW to fill things out without their guidance. concern #1: I had went to floor 2, to apply for a renewed passport. They had applications out but I didn't see ANY pens. I had asked the lady in window number 1, for a pen and she looked at me like I was stupid. How do you guys have applications out but no pens? And I'm in the wrong for asking? How would I fill out my application? She handed me a pen, but she said hurry up because they don't have enough pens. That isn't my problem, you guys should have been prepared knowing how busy you guys get. She was rushing me. I went back to the window after I finished filling out my application and woman window #1 was ON HER PHONE. Mind you, there were at least a full room of people in the room waiting their turn. I said excuse me 5 times and she waited to say something until her phone call was done. concern #2: LEYDEN. WINDOW WOMAN #3. I was brushing everything off with what happened in the second floor. I told myself to calm down, gave excuses for her saying maybe she was having an off day. But the 6th floor really took me out. I walked to the desk and she spoke to me in Tagalog. I told her kindly, "I'm sorry, I don't speak in that dialogue, I don't really understand what you're fully saying" and this woman said "how are you getting a filipino passport if you don't even speak it?" I honestly felt disrespected and humiliated. Is that their way of trying to be prideful of the filipino culture? by talking down on other filipinos who don't speak the language? I didn't quite understand her point. Not only that, she was talking to me like she didn't even want me there. That's not how you're supposed to make your customers feel. You're supposed to make your customers feel WELCOMED and comfortable. I hope you really read this because I will be planning to upload a youtube video, and bring it to social media about my concern. I had asked other people that day if they had problems with their customer service and more than 15 people agreed with me. Please show your employees training that is appropriate for others. They are working with different type of ethnic backgrounds, they should respect every individual. Not disrespect by judging them. Because I felt discriminated the whole entire time. Thank you.
