WHY THIS PLACE ONLY GET FOUR STAR AVERAGE, haiyaaaaaaaa
Ordered in a rush on DoorDash.
Food arrived hot and tasty!
Got a Traditional Cheesesteak 16". Was it $20.50, an insane price? Yeah, but compared to the area, what are you going to do, complain? Tell me the next closest place you can get philly cheesesteaks. Exactly. I bet the shop owners know this too, and frankly I share that (hypothetical) sentiment. Also eating out in the PNW just costs more than in other cities like Los Angeles, New York City and.... Yup, Philadelphia.
So yeah, I've driven past this place in the past, but I got stuck on a work meeting this morning so I said--Fuck it, let's just DoorDash from this place.
And the food was GOOD. I got nervous because the food didn't look sloppy and I expected an angry note from the shop owner for ordering from a meal delivery service instead of calling them up and picking up the food to go, but I swear I was in back-to-back meetings all morning so I just couldn't.
So yeah, speaking of cost. I really wanted to tip the staff, and not just the DoorDash driver but the current menu doesn't have a "tip the staff" option-- not sure if DoorDash simply doesn't allow it or if restaurants are allowed to put a "tip the staff" option on the menu but just don't. But, I'm keeping a tab of restaurants that I DoorDash from, so that when I *do* go in, I'll pay upfront any past tips I couldn't make to the staff (read, not the DoorDash driver), due to using a meal delivery service like DoorDash.
Anyway, the food is good, yes it's pricey, but suck it up, it's the PNW, you get WAY MORE THAN A FOOT LONG SUB and a FUCKTON of meat and cheese on your sub, AND IT'S NOT BLAND. Eat your food, tip the staff, leave a good review on Yelp and Google Maps, and call it a day.
Cheers.
