Philly-Style Soft Pretzels Arrive in Dallas - Eater Dallas

"The new soft pretzel destination arrived on Saturday, owned by franchisees Brian and Meredith Jaworowski, two Philly expats. Philly Pretzel Factory is known for its figure-eight or paperclip-shaped pretzels, stuffed with cheesesteak fixings and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs, along with sweet cinnamon pretzel twists. It is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Amy McCarthy

I went in this place recently when it was like 100 degrees. There was absolutely no AC. It is cruel and inhumane to have people working in there in these conditions, with ovens baking things all day long. If the air isn't working, they should close. I felt so bad for the employees.

It's always great going there. My family loves the pretzels. Usually, we get the 20/$14 order. It's not usually super busy when we go so little to no wait. They give speedy service anyway. You're in and out. The cashiers have all been pleasant.

I suggest the shop start baking the pretzels more fully. More almost raw dough because they are not baked enough. I said something to an older women there she said the well done pretzels I like were over baked yet they were perfect. Today I went in and found more under baked pretzels. Hard to find well done pretzels!!

Pretzels are very fresh and delicious what a great variety of different dips for your pretzel 🥨 they also had other stuff on the menu I'd like to try in the future pork and cheese on a pretzel and also a pizza 🍕 with a 🥨 crust yummy 😋

I always love going to the NE Philly Pretzel Factory on Frankford Avenue. I went in and orders some pretzels, pretzel dogs and a couple drinks. You can purchase Philadelphia Water Ice in the store as well. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Pretzels are always fresh and delicious.

The customer service was fantastic! The woman knew exactly what I wanted which was a pretzel pizza & only had to wait like 2 mins! More importantly it was very 😋 so I'll definitely be coming back for more!!!

Yelp
Philly Pretzel Factory pretzels are always outstanding ~ week after week after week. Thursdays are Philly Pretzel Factory days at our office. And if, for some unforeseen, disastrous reason, our consistently excellent pretzels are not on top of the front desk by 9:00 a.m. (alongside a bottle of spicy brown mustard) ~ well then, check to make sure it truly is Thursday! Extraordinarily doughy on the inside with just the exact amount of crustiness on the outside, salted to perfection and warm from the oven ~ these little beauties are crave~able and so very satisfying. Parking is sometimes a challenge on Frankford Avenue ~ it's metered, and it's enforced. The staff here are always on top of their game ~ and it's deliciously obvious why.

Yelp
I always stop here during my visits home, usually on my way to 95 for my trip back to VA. The last time I was home the pretzels were so hot, straight from the oven - delicious comfort food at its finest! Today, I decided to try the pretzel pizza thinking, I'm not so sure about this. LOL Boy was I surprised! It was delicious! Plenty of cheese and the staff made sure it was warm and toasty before I left. It was surprisingly tasty! The counter person was very friendly and helpful. Check them out!

Yelp
Passed ten other locations on a trip to try this ORIGINAL location. The pretzels are what you'd expect from Philadelphia Pretzel Factory but the location was just an ordinary store like all the others. I was thinking that it would be unique- kinda like the original Starbucks in Seattle. Ah well. Pretzels are always good and service was friendly as usual. I think it's a missed opportunity to do something special here.

Yelp
Love the pretzels .... but wow the service and crazy rules ... so let me tell you about my most recent visit.... normally its not a problem but today for some reason it was... my daughters and I love their pretzels but prefer the ends...every time I go I buy a bag of 10 I always ask if I can get a bunch of ends and normally they give me all they have takes an extra minute to do. But today the girl who waited on me said no I can only give you three... I said why I'm buying pretzels and I prefer the ends she said that's all she can do I was about to say keep the pretzels, the hot sausage, and the sodas ... I said right behind you are like six ends she said that's all I can get...she turns and hands me a bag and says there are three in there.... crazy and sad won't be back. I go for the ends and they refuse to sell them to me ugh...

Yelp
They come fast, they're cheap, and they're fresh. What's better in the morning than a hot pretzel just out of the oven? Try the pretzel dogs- they hit the spot if you're craving meat. I'd never really liked pretzels until I tried theirs (aside from Auntie Anne's at the mall). Even though it's moved away from humble neighborhood shop to large commercial franchise empire, it still tastes good. You can get pretzels salted or unsalted (or with cinnamon). Also, they come in small, bite sized pieces that are easy to dip in. There's mustard, cheese, and pretty much anything you'll want to dip a pretzel in. They also have spicy sausages and hot dogs wrapped in a thin layer of pretzel dough, with cheese. Plus, the staff's pretty nice. Just know what you're going to get as soon as you walk through the doors.

Yelp
The best of the best! I swear this location has the best tasting pretzels! Get the 3 pretzels, drink and dip for $2.75. It's a Philly lunch or breakfast

Yelp
Always hot & fresh!!! Yum! Try the pork roll & cheese sandwiches! Even better when it has everything seasoning on top! The new mini cheesesteaks are AWESOME too! Friendly staff!

Yelp
I'm sad to say I was really not impressed at all today. Based on today alone it would have been a one star experience, but I have to afford stars for delicious pretzels of yesteryear that i have enjoyed from this establishment. So I ordered eight soft pretzels, and there may have been three pieces of salt between the eight of them. I get some people don't like salt, but I'm not one of those people. So give me my god damn salt. I'm not sure if I was accidentally given salt free pretzels or if this is just how they were, but either way it was disappointing. They sadly didn't taste very fresh either. I think "fresh out of the oven" has been replaced with "laying under a lamp for an undetermined amount of time." No bueno. And the girl that helped me today was pretty ignorant. She definitely walked away while I was still ordering. Very strange. And when I ordered a cheesesteak pretzel I was told "we don't have any." Not "it will take x amount of minutes to get you one" or something like that. No cheesesteak pretzel for me. Definitely a bummer of an experience. Hopefully they get it together because I do love me some soft pretzels.

Yelp
Because this is the original location, prices are cheaper, which is always a plus for me. Everyone is so nice, the place is super clean and they keep things moving. You can't go wrong with a warm salty pretzel.

Yelp
Just purchased Rivets from this location 20 minutes ago. Opened them up and they were completely stale. I mean hard as a rock stale. This makes me wonder how long do they keep them out in the front, under the lights for. I guess I should make sure before I leave the store, check and see they are not stale. I buy pretzels here often and this is the first time I bought pretzels here that were stale. I do not like stale pretzels, i ate a few then threw the box out.

Yelp
Hard and horrible. Freshly baked, NOT. Very disappointed!!! I think they just make way too many at a time and they sit there. I specifically asked if they were fresh. Fresh from under a heat lamp. Ugh.

Yelp
I go to Philly soft pretzel on Frankford Avenue many times in a week to bring back my employees some snacks which I must say it serves as a lunch after they are finished I give this a five star rating they have the best soft pretzels the old fashion Philly way and their breakfast sausage egg sandwich is out of this world.there pretzel dogs are great and so are there cheesesteak covered pretzels and their spicy sausage roll hits the spot for the long ride home. The only suggestion I would give is to put a quality Polish Kabasa inside with cheese and maybe some Kraut and spicy mustard but that's because I'm Polish.and I must say that my employees who live in different parts of the city say the other family so precious you are as good.keep up the good work up guys and ladies
