Philz Coffee

My last stop on a grand Jazz adventure to San Francisco was this cute little somewhat hard to find coffee joint. First of all, very comfortable room. Nice chill tunes. Everybody is jumping in here! It's like a beehive behind the counter. Like a finely tuned Swiss watch pumping out of coffee, little bites, everything flowing like a machine. Big smiles and friendly suggestions from the staff. The vibes were off the charts. Shout out to Claire! Told these guys I was heading out on the Amtrak. They hooked me up with a bottle of water for the road. I generally enjoyed just hanging out having a great coffee and breakfast burro for a couple hours waiting to split town. If you can find Philz tucked away among the skyscrapers of downtown San Francisco, do yourself a favor and kick it for a minute! @TFJazz

It was my first time here and staff were really helpful. Great coffee and breakfast wraps! I had the Sweet Harmony. Nice blend. A little on the sweet side because of the oat milk I think. But that's just me. My son loved it. I I've also had the cold brew. I liked that, too. (I came back!) Great space as well! And dog-friendly! There were 2 well behaved pups when we were there. 😃(Check out the panoramic photo and you’ll see one of the pups!)

The coffee tastes good! People are very kind. Iced mint mojito is just the best. in the morning bit too busy but kept well

My experience at this place was absolutely disastrous. I decided to try their so-called coffee mocha, but what I received was a complete disappointment. I waited for a frustrating 45 minutes only to be handed a cold and horribly tasting coffee. Seriously? Did it really take that long for something so simple? But that's not all, the most infuriating part was watching them serve the orders of customers who came in after me. Do they have no sense of order or priority? I felt completely ignored and undervalued as a customer, while others were attended to without any issues. The abysmal service they provide at this place is simply unacceptable. Not only did they fail in delivering a decent quality product, but they also demonstrated a complete lack of organization and respect towards those of us who trusted them to enjoy a simple cup of coffee. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It's a complete waste of time and money!

OMG. The coffee was amazing. I got the mojito. They put real mint leaves in it. It was so delicious! We walked around the mission district afterwards and looked at murals, I got a hot coco. It had to be the best I've ever had. They had a few tables, large enough to share. I would totally go back!

Located across from Happy Lemon under Salesforce Park. It's a full coffee shop with seating, outlets, and cold brew. Solid coffee as always. I saw people working and there were outlets all along the window ready to work.

The coffee itself is excellent. And these flavor combos are unexpected and memorable. I loved the coffee rose. The breakfast burritos are small but mighty. They pack a bomb of melded flavors. Friendly staff. This place brings in the crowds. Highly recommend.

Nice clean space with plenty of seats. Like all Philz locations the coffee is outstanding and made to order.

The perfect afternoon pick me up. After having lunch, I really needed some caffeine and found out that Philz Coffee was actually around the corner of where I was. I just had to make a pit stop and boy was I glad I did. Stepping into the shop, it was brightly lit with it's floor to ceiling windows and was super clean and refreshing looking inside. The only complaint was that it was super hot inside, as they didn't have their AC on and even with almost no one in the shop it was super hot. Now onto the main character of the review. The Mint Mojito. It was a 5/5 and so delicious, I'm still thinking of it today. It comes with fresh mint, is sweet and creamy and just so delicious. The perfect afternoon caffeine hit and pick me up. I couldn't stop raving about my coffee after as it was just so delicious! Make sure you give it a try as it won't disappoint!

So far I have been several Philz Coffee San Francisco Ca USA & I have been to Philz Coffee At SunnyVale.... My favorite Coffee at Philz Coffee would be the Ice Coffee!!!!!

I don't drink coffee usually, but had to try the mint mojito with all its hype. This location had friendly servers but the seating area needs cleaning (from crumbs and the table I sat at had a pool of melted coffee). I noticed my drink came without the signature fresh mint leaf on top, I asked why and the person who made my drink said that's just an aesthetic and most of the mint will be found on the bottom. Twas true, I found lots of mint at the end that seemed crushed or pounded with a pestle to expose flavor. The bottom of my cup was rounded at the bottom, presumably because they did this action in the cup itself? I ordered the drink as suggested, cold and creamy. It had an interesting thick layer of coffee whipped cream on the top. Nice to drink for a lightweight coffee drinker like me.

It was better before they started cutting corners. The best decaf we ever had was the one they stopped roasting, & selling. Apparently it was "too expensive" so they removed it from the menu. So many coffee shops start off great. And then the investors want more money funneled up top. Sad.

Delicious and exceptional service! I got a small Tescora and a Chocolate Babka. Such a comfy and cozy little set up as well! I will definitely return to this particular location when I am in SF again.

Over the summer I ordered via TooGoodToGo, which this location offers regularly. I received a few pastries and a couple of cookies for $4.33. I'd buy again if I was in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way.

This is probably the most consistent, timely, and FRIENDLY Philz I've been to. My drinks are always on time with the app. The wait time is minimal. The space is large and clean. And the staff are so nice. Always friendly and huge smile even at 630am. This is not easy, my home Philz is not this good. But I feel lucky that my office is by this Philz

It's delicious and cozy and a very big, new, clean space. Quality: 5 Value: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 5 Philz has grown in popularity because they have a ton of amazing choices for coffee, including decaf and vegan options, and their staff and locations are generally just great. Unfortunately, they don't do espresso at all, which seems silly. Their baked goods / food selection is also not great. That said, their pour over on its own is really good, on par with Blue Bottle. I recommend Chatz one block over for great pour over / drip / espresso / breakfast food.

Ugh I love Philz! I drop by every time I'm in SF. Their mint mojito is my fave! It's light, not terribly sweet, and so refreshing. Staff here is also really nice

OMG, I went here to start my monday with an iced tea and was greeted with a barrage of loud, incessant speed metal music. I commented to the cashier that it was a little much for the morning, and pretty much got no response or offer to play something a little less intense. Qq

Come for the coffee, avoid for the service. If you like ordering, waiting 20 mins for a coffee, only for it to be forgotten by the baristas, this is the perfect place for you.

this location is absolutely lovely!! Mark was so kind and helpful in recommending drinks and bring overall a lovely human. the entire cafe was a wonderful and safe atmosphere to be in. thank you philz and all the workers :)

Great coffee and I love their bacon, egg & cheese breakfast burritos. I use their mobile app to order, and for the most part, my coffee and food is ready for me at the estimated time they provide, which is great! The staff is mostly friendly, with the occasional person that doesn't acknowledge my existence even after I thank them. I get it, you are slammed and your primary demographic of customers are tech people who likely don't tip, let alone acknowledge your existence. It just ruins the experience for the few of us who call San Francisco home and are long term residents who actually appreciate your hard work and fortitude to come to work in the wee hours of the morning, slogging coffee and earning minimum wage or if lucky slightly higher, and then having to deal with phony opportunists chasing that fat tech check. I feel your pain.

Incredible team, super friendly, delicious coffee and always at the ready with a random act of awesomeness! Highly recommend a stop at this Philz! Fabulous crew!

Visiting the city during the holidays and decided to try something new for my morning Java. I stopped into Philz where my guy Luke hooked me up with the "Philtered Soul" and I also grabbed a blueberry muffin. It was delicious so I recommend stopping in to see Luke and friends.

Philz is the best! And Financial District workers who are essential and have to report into their respective offices will rejoice. And I'm glad they are starting to reopen because they had their grand opening at their regular store down the other side of the street only a few weeks ago before the Coronavirus Pandemic. This location is mobile orders only spot, and so it's perfect! They have a table at the entrance for walk up, touchless, counter pickup. Placed our order, and got my rose iced coffee in no time! Will be back next week, and the week after that...

This is the most amazing coffee chain that I have ever been to. I had a basic drip coffee and could go back for the same. Wish this was on the East Coast.

Very friendly staff. Pork and bacon burritos were amazing. Coffee was smooth and rich. Overall very good experience.

This is a mobile only store, which means that you have to order through the Philz mobile app to pick up your drink here, and there is no seating area. This is great for me since this location is just a block from my office, and I can even choose my pickup time in advance, so my drink is ready to go by the time I get there. Super efficient. My go to is the iced rosé with oat milk! All the barista were super friendly when I went, and they will still adjust your drink if it's not perfect, even though it's a mobile only store. It's unfortunate that they opened right before shelter in place was put into effect, but probably great for my wallet. Looking forward to visiting again when we're allowed to though!

This place is super cute, and very knowledgeable on Covid and all the procedures that need to take place to be safe during the pandemic.
