Quite beautiful and decent mall. There are many premium stores here. Also, plenty of couch, seats and chairs. The parking lot is huge. Overall a beautiful mall.

Since it was my first time at Phipps Plaza, I wasn’t taking any chances! Lol. I literally took pictures of the entrance and the hallways so I wouldn’t get lost! 😂 (You know you’re in a new place when you document your way in like it’s a traill map!) But let me tell you, this place is gorgeous. The inside is elegant, clean, and surprisingly peaceful for such a popular spot. One of my favorite moments was taking pictures at the stunning staircase that parts in the middle as it flows down. It gives major red carpet vibes! 📸✨ We had a great time snapping photos there. And to top it all off, we treated ourselves to some ice cream at Ysha, which was such a sweet surprise. Not only was the ice cream delicious (perfect for this Atlanta heat!), but the staff there were kind and welcoming. They made us feel right at home. Phipps Plaza gave luxury, comfort, and a little adventure all in one. I’ll definitely be back and hopefully won’t need to follow my photo trail next time. 😅 7-19-25

Had a great time hanging out with my daughters and listening to live music at Phipps Plaza. The,band 3DP, was very engaging and entertaining. Atmosphere was very nice being that it was outside and a pleasant evening.

Google
A Luxury Shopping Dream Come True! Phillips Plaza Mall is a luxury shopper’s paradise! From designer boutiques to high-end favorites, this place has everything your heart (and wallet) could desire. It’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and easy to navigate with convenient parking. Pro tip: arrive right when the mall opens for the best experience and smaller crowds. Bonus — there’s an AMC theater here too, making it perfect for a full day out. Come ready to spend — and enjoy every minute of it!

I love this place!!! It makes me happier just stepping inside. The store is beautiful, the clothes are amazing, but most importantly, the staff is wonderful! I have always felt welcomed here and received amazing service. Thank you Kiera for your help today ☺️

Yelp
Phipps is one of the two BEST malls in all of both Atlanta and the Peach State in general. The other is Lenox across the street!

Yelp
This is not your typical mall unless you can afford the merchandise that's sold here. Me and my boyfriend were vacationing in Atlanta and wanted to check this place out. We pretty much walked around the mall because we both knew that it wouldn't make sense to go in these stores just because it was way beyond our price range. You do see some security patrolling some stores which are probably hired by the business itself. You won't find many shoppers at this mall so it was good to walk around without people bumping into you.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to watch Taylor Swift's Era Tour at AMC. Small theater, but nice and comfortable with the right people. The check in lady was nice. I didn't get pop corn or food so I don't know how pricy it was. Pro tip eat before you come! Tickets were expensive at $20 a pop though!! But cheaper than a ticket at the tour Closest theater to me so I would for sure come back. It's way cooler with friends than a date. Okay that's all for now! Cherie

Yelp
The more money you have, the more stars this review gets. This place is expensive, and the only thing you will see here is. High end retail stores, that are being guarded with guards at the front doors.

Yelp
Phipps Plaza is a beautiful luxury shopping mall in Buckhead. It's pretty much across from Lenox Square, so you have lots of great shopping all in one area. This mall also has an AMC cinemas. The Nordstrom is great. Saks is great too. You will also find some designer stores. It's beautifully decorated during the holidays. Here's something amazing - there's free parking. You have a food court with some food options. There are some great restaurants, or eat at Nordstrom. It's really fancy and gorgeous, but it's okay if you aren't really dressed up. The people working there are welcoming. Highly recommend you visit this mall!

Yelp
My family recently went to Phipps to see a movie. When we got to the top of the escalator and passed the security table the guards said they needed to search my daughter's bag. My daughter is black I am white. She and I both approached the table they looked through her small fanny pack and then I set my purse on the table to be searched and the female guard said to me oh not you honey. My question is this why are you looking through her bag and not mine? She had a small fanny pack just big enough for a wallet and keys my bag was plenty big enough for a weapon. But yet you tell me oh not you honey. It couldn't be more blatant that the security there is profiling young blank people. I encourage you not to go to Phipps

Yelp
Phipps is one of my favorite malls in Atlanta. They have a variety of high end retail stores including Tiffany & Co., Saks Fifth Avenue (LV, Chanel), Gucci, etc. They also have mid-level stores like Lilly Pullitzer, Jack Rogers, Kate Spade, Tory Burch. There are some restaurant options throughout the mall and the top floor has an AMC movie theater and Legoland for the kids. Great mall all around.
google avatar

Yelp
Ahh Phipps! Where do I begin with you? I've watched countless movies at the AMC Theaters, gotten my caffeine on during the late night and early morning shopping I come do half asleep as I empty my bank account some times. If you are looking for high-end and designer stores, this is the place to go. My personal favorite place is the AMC Theaters and the Food Court. I love Phipps and the options they have with clothing selections. I liked it here because you can do a bunch of shopping any eating. Has everything from Gucci, Versace, Tiffany, emporio, you name it they have it. Very clean, shiny and orderly. Well lit with a good variety of shops and vendors. Nice parking lots that could use some more light when it gets dark. They do have valet parking. The parking deck is pretty convenient too. Build a bear is here too which is a definite plus. The AMC Theater here has first run movies and special showings, and reclining seats. But be careful. Don't get too comfy. You could fall asleep. With the AMC app you can pre-order your snacks, with your tickets and have them delivered to your seat of-course for a fee but it beats standing in line for 10 to 15 minutes waiting on a hot dog or sliders. When you come out of the Theater you also have a full bar with nice ambiance and seating. The Mac & Cheese bowls are small but tasty. The mall itself has Lots of high end clothing shops, gifts shops, Starbucks, Food Court and other nice Restaurants. Lego Land and Ritzy Atmosphere. Phipps Plaza is an upscale shopping mall located in the Buckhead district of Atlanta, Georgia. Owned by Simon Property Group, the retail center is located at the intersection of Peachtree Road & Lenox Road and sits adjacent to its sister-mall Lenox Square in the heart of Buckhead's commercial center. Always a pleasure going here for the vast number of shops that are held there. Definitely worth a trip. I come here to shop often and I highly recommend shopping here.

Yelp
Phipps Plaza is the high-end mall for this area (Lennox is too -- but not nearly as much). Gucci, Valentino, Hugo Boss, Tiffany, etc. For that reason, it tends to be less crowded and there's a strong chance you'll see a six figure exotic car parked somewhere outside. All of the above things do not mean it is off-limits to "normal" people. Over the years, I have occasionally stopped in and found deals -- particularly at Nordstrom. After all, they have to clear out things when seasons change just like everywhere else. Or, if you have an extra $5k burning a hole in your wallet, you can easily score a new pair of pants or a mink stole (if it's on sale, of course!).

Yelp
Phipps Plaza on Peachtree Road in Atlanta is a cool shopping center that has a great variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have here. I have had a really good shopping experience every time that I have been here.

Yelp
Very nice high end mall! Very nice clean design and sterile. Every store is boutique style, but the best thing about this mall is the huge Starbucks kiosk in the middle!
google avatar

Shani H.

Yelp
This is nice mall. Its huge and has many luxury stores. The biggest issue is that a lot of the stores dont have hours consistent with the mall hours. I guess its their choice if they're paying rent. However, on any given day the mall may be open but 25% of the stores may be closed. Pretty weird.
google avatar

Alicia G.

Yelp
I love this place. All the luxury store, no worry about being hassled my the kiosk people and extra security so you feel safe!

Yelp
This is the mall for Big Ballers. If you're not a baller, don't even come in. This isn't one of those malls where you can walk from store to store unless you've got some 0's in your bank account. You'll see quite a bit of celebs in here on a good day, so that should tell you the quality of the stores at Phipps. Phipps isn't one of those "post up, chill, talk to girls" type of mall. You strictly come here to really shop. Not much flexing going on in here. Parking is cool. Lots of covered spots below ground for those rainy days. They do offer VIP parking for $40, if you're about that life. Department stores: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth, & Belk. Belk has really good sales. Overall, I feel like this is a nice mall. Extravagant, to say the least. If you've got the loot, they've got what you're looking for. If you want more affordable clothing or items, I'd suggest heading across the street to Lenox.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
Less crowded shopping option. Still plenty of security. Ample parking. Variety of shops to explore with the biggest name brands. If you're looking for a chiller spot this is the perfect mall/plaza.

Yelp
I like Phipps but I always feel like something is missing. Well, it's not really missing, it's just down the street at Lenox. I think the space is beautiful. Parking is good. I just wish there was more here that I was excited about. I love the Frongate store. It is pricey and I browse much more than buy here but I really like the place and I always pick up good decorating and design ideas here. They have recently moved across from where they were located and expanded to a much larger space. Starbucks. Easy access. Yes please! It seems like I get a drink here every time that I am in this mall. Nordstrom. Nice. I enjoy shopping at Nordstrom. Like the rest of the mall though, this store seems a bit quiet. River Street Sweets. Yum! It is a bit pricey though. I usually stop in to buy pralines around holidays. Tommy Bahama. This is a great shop. I love their products but it is not really my style. I always enjoy their window displays. There's a Johnny Rockets on the third floor near the theater. The Tavern at Phipps is popular and one of the busiest places in the mall. Cafe Bistro inside Nordstrom is excellent but often overlooked and now Genuine Pizza is open on the first floor.

Yelp
I'm writing a review on Phipps because I'm here a lot. To be fair, I shop at a lot of the stores at Phipps: Saks, Nordstroms, etc. It has a good set of anchor stores but then they have a Legoland. I don't really understand why. Phipps has traditionally been the high end mall of Atlanta, but many of the stores here are really going to more appeal to tourists in the area (e.g., Hublot) yet most tourists bussed in go to Lennox. Despite both of the malls being owned by Simmons, the property company refuses to connect the two. Why? This is a stupid strategy. I think Phipps is going to fail ultimately as Hublot, Tory and Jeffery figure out that the high end shopping area of Atlanta is down in the Avenues of Buckhead. Phipps meanwhile has added Legoland which brings in streams of school children, none of whom are looking for $20,000 watches, $1,500 shoes or $3,000 dresses. The two target markets don't overlap...BUT having streams of loud school children certainly is not a pleasant shopping experience. Simmons needs a property management strategy or this place will be Legoland, Belk and Starbucks.

Yelp
Oh my universe. This mall has soooooo many items I loved from fashion, eye wear, hand bags, and more! When I shop for fashion, I sometimes leave with nothing in hand due to the quality of fabric, patterns and overall design. This mall has endless options that I absolutely love! This is my go to mall now!
google avatar

Toni G.

Yelp
It's a beautiful mall, but there weren't any people shopping! I think the employees outnumber the shoppers. Walked all 3 levels and saw about 20 people. The parking garage...Omg! Felt like a rat trying to find my cheese. Half the escalators weren't working upon our visit. This old lady needed a drink after climbing/walking all those broken down escalators. Again, it's beautiful but honestly I wouldn't shop there.
google avatar

TooHonest F.

Yelp
This mall has the most sketchy, unsafe and confusing parking garage ever. It should be condemned. Major flooding has occurred throughout it and construction has closed off most entrances and exits. Signs for exits are confusing and not updated, leading you to hit one dead end after another. If there was a fire, the owner, Simon Malls, must have paid off the Atlanta Fire Dept. because it's a major fire hazard they continue to ignore. There have been several recent car hijackings and mugging in the parking garage. Want security? Good luck finding them. They are usually sleeping in a corner of the garage in their cars. The upscale stores should demand better for their clientele.

Yelp
Sur la Table is probably the most frequent place I visit when I'm at this mall. They have plenty of cast iron pots, knives, and cooking classes to choose from. The pots are what I'm most enticed to save up to buy because the people who work here have sold me on getting one from making fresh French bread to The workers here know there stuff They have a bunch of knives that they have on display from fine Japanese brands to decent knives. I definitely have used some of there display knives and have noticed a difference using their knives! Definitely if your in the store try some knives out. Every time I walk in there is always something delicious cooking in the air. One time I smelled some chicken with herbs and spices, so good. I haven't taken any classes yet, but I plan to in the future. If you catch their online prices sometimes you can find half off classes!
google avatar

Yelp
High end mall with lot of great choices to shop. If you're not into buying designer and high end brands then I wouldn't suggest this mall. Also you will see celebs walking around . We saw Dwight Howard in Gucci, Toya bush from married to medicine, and Rasheeda from LHH ATL (her store Pressed is there)
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
I'm still figuring my way around the Atlanta area. Now that Atlanta has become such a big city, naturally people who go shopping are looking for those high end brands. Phipps Plaza is that place with all your big names represented from Tiffany to Valentino. Phipps also happens to be where our favorite theater is located as well. It's an AMC where you can reserve your seats ahead of time. The seats are lounge chairs and you can find every single Coke product there. They also have a Legoland here and other little stores that are fun for the whole family (yes, I said it). During the holidays, they have Santa there so you can bring your kids (and big kids) to take humiliating photos (XD). They have valet parking but you know you can just park for free in the underground parking lot. Don't get confused because what deck you're on doesn't actually directly coordinate with the numbers listed in the elevator. You may be parked on P3 and then have to choose P1 in the elevator as an example. All around great mall. Bigger than it first appears when you walk it so take some time to explore it all.
google avatar

Nikki F.

Yelp
I only went here to sightsee. This appears to be a more upscale mall with places like Gucci, Nordstrom's, etc.
google avatar

Joi M.

Yelp
Phipps is a very high end mall. There is a movie theater and lots of restaurants. Phipps has added a variety of new restaurants the past few years. I don't go often now that Belk has closed. There is valet, surface, and underground garage parking. There are a variety of local stores owned by small business owners and national chains.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Phipps Plaza is a five-star mall. Outside of Miami, it's probably the nicest mall in the Southeast. It's unique and one of a kind in that it's truly an upscale mall. It's evident from its fine anchors (Nordstrom, formerly Lord & Taylor; Belk formerly Parisian; and Saks Fifth Avenue) and tenants (e.g. Giorgio Armami, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Versace, Tiffany & Co, etc.). Expectedly, most people can't afford to shop here on a regular basis, which leaves the shops, boutiques, and interior of this mall feeling dead and deserted. That's not a bad thing, though, because Phipps provides a welcome break from all the hustle and bustle across the street at Phipps' sister mall Lenox Square. Phipps typically has ultra high-end automobiles showcased on its marble floors. In the past, I've seen Aston Martins, Bentleys, and Lamborghinis. The interior decor of the mall itself is posh. Along with the aforementioned marble, the space is filled with plenty of mahoghany and exquisite ceiling treatments. The center of the mall features a giant ornate chandelier with a wide, winding, carpeted, grand staircase. A six-story glass elevator can take you from the third floor of the mall to the third level of the parking deck. Along the way, you'll pass through a semi-hidden fountain. Food court selection is respectable and restaurants are solid. The restaurants are generally in the same class as the mall. They include Cafe Bistro at Nordstrom, Twist (trendy seafood/sushi), Davio's (upscale Italian), and The Tavern. The Tavern is known for having one of Atlanta's most attractive waitstaffs, something I can personally attest to. Twist and The Tavern, both of which have patios, always seem to be packed on the weekends. As with many malls, a good time to visit Phipps is during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the holiday decorations and the Santa Claus here are among the best anywhere. Phipps also has a 14-screen AMC movie theater. I've seen a few movies as well as attended a movie screening here. LEGOLAND Discovery Center opens today (3/17).

Yelp
Was ok mall just visiting from Texas wanted to see what the fuss was about but wouldn't go back the employees are not friendly went to purchase shoes changed my mind due to the unfriendly people chose another mall & needless to say they were friendly & glad to get our business (just FYI people are spending money because they want to not because they have to)
google avatar

Abigail S.

Yelp
Phipps is a primo spot for people watching--like an airport but with a bigger concentration of luxury brand locales. We came here more for the adventure than to drop serious coin. The Santa here at Christmas is quite revered, and must be booked months in advance for a photo session appointment, which will run you $30, minimum! Sur la Table is a fun browse, and seems to have some interesting, reasonably-priced cooking classes in the kitchen at the back of the store. The Belk is of course gargantuan, and good sales can be found with a persistent attitude. The representative in the Steinway piano store is also nice and knowledgeable, and there are some really beautiful instruments in there. The mall has comfortable chairs throughout when your feet get tired from browsing. The disappointments for me were the Natural--Beauty Spa Boutique, which has staff stationed at the front of the store, aggressively trying to pedal free samples. I have already been fleeced by another Dead Sea cosmetics type of store in London (Yelped about a year ago) and it all came flooding back to me today when they started to work on my less street-savvy relative. Also, the Santa photo staff were ungraciously short with me when I asked about photos. The attendant made me feel like a complete numbskull that I had deigned to ask whether we could get a walk-in photo (apparently it's a reservation-based system that begins filling up in July). Anyway, first-world aggressions aside, Phipps would be fun for the occasional visit.
google avatar

Jando S.

Yelp
I was on my way to Twist when I came through this extremely beautiful mall and had to do a double take. It was hard not to marvel at the relatively low key ambiance and the sophisticated feel of the place, despite the fact it was just a mall. Once I noticed all of the high end stores, I knew that I wasn't going to see a Pacific Sun or a Filene's Basement anywhere here. Everything was so elegant, tasteful, and a decor unmatched by other malls that I saw here. It certainly wasn't as commercial as cross town Perimeter, but it was nonetheless hotel-like, reminiscent of the high end malls in Vegas but with a cleaner look and significantly less people. When Michael Vick gets out of jail, he'll be wishing he could shop here again.
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
This mall is like south coast of Orange County in California. All the high name brands are all there at this mall. They even have Front Gate! For dining Grand lux is always good too. Nordstrom and Saks fith is always fun. All the workers there are very nice.
google avatar

Lilly C.

Yelp
I remember coming here with my auntie as a kid who was Gucci obsessed. During my college years I would come here on the weekends to window shop and be inspired by all the things I was going to get when I started to make some real money. Compare to Lenox I think this mall feel cold and less inviting. I don't find the sales people here as friendly as the ones at Lenox. Now when I do come I I find myself wishing I was at Lenox. Still my two favorite stores here are L. K Bennett and Tory Burch. I always park in the underground parking garage and taken the escalator up stairs. You can locate their various parking lots here https://www.simon.com/mall/phipps-plaza/about
google avatar

Alexa G.

Yelp
So reading the reviews so far, and yes you'll see folks bringing up Lenox quite a bit. Both malls have the same type of high end stores, but I feel more like myself when coming to Phipps. To me, Lenox has that atmosphere of "you better dress like you're from a LV ad if you step into our space" feel to it. Phipps I can dress a little down and still have a good time walking around. Love that it has an AMC theater with cheap prices in the morning times. Good underground garage too.
google avatar

Anandasubramanian C.

Yelp
It's a good high end mall. The air conditioning is a bit too much and it's stuffy. Floors are clean. Toilets are clean and well maintained. And shops are numerous. But remember that it's a high end mall. So you don't get to see discount shopping a lot. And prices reflect it. The same item at bed bath & beyond here is costlier than in perimeter mall.
google avatar

Jeneen P.

Yelp
Well I went to Phipps today looking for the Vera Bradley and it wasn't there. I walked and walked and couldn't locate it. I guess its closed, I even checked the directory and it wasn't listed. That has been one of my fav stores. I will do a little research and find another location. Didn't have a need to hang around any longer so I left.
google avatar

Clint C.

Yelp
Closing the entrance to the mall while people are still in the movie theatre is not only inconvenient but dangerous. We were forced to walk around the perimeter of the mall in the rain to get to our car.

John R.

Yelp
The only reason I went to this place was for the Legoland Discovery Center. The parking is an atrocity with the underground parking set up as a maze. "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here". The signage is ridiculous. The Exit signs point you in A direction but the next sign you see is on the wall of the garage. No arrows, no signs ... just confusion. I had to ask directions on how to get out.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
How does this mall stay in business? There are hardly any humans there and it was a Saturday afternoon. Is it too pricey? Is everyone over at Lenox? I feel bad for the people who work here and have to refold the same shirt over and over again because no one is messing them up. I almost bought something out of guilt.
google avatar

Arlene M.

Yelp
We stopped here to see this mall so my husband could get a quick bite and found it mostly deserted. It didn't take me long to figure out why. Most of these stores are ultra high end and I had recently seen some of them on New York City's Fifth and Madison Aves. We found a small food court so I went browsing while he grabbed a sandwich. They have a giant Lego land for kids and an AMC multiplex cinema. They do have a restaurant here but since I wasn't hungry didn't take advantage of it. They have their own parking garage which we needed to stay out of the rain. I was stunned that the stores close at 8 pm. I visited a store called Jeffrey's which also had a NY location. I asked where the other location was and was told the meatpacking district. The store was very upscale and I wondered why they would put their main store in NY in that area as opposed to the East side. Still I had friendly customer service and was able to rejoin my husband after that visit. If you like to browse and dream then go here. Otherwise take in a movie at the multiplex or take the kids to see Legoland.
google avatar

Theresa H.

Yelp
I dropped a star since LegoLand was opened here. What?!! Ok, I do not hate children but I can't comprehend why they must opened LegoLand here. This is going to be a seemingly harsh but very honest review here. Yes, like I always say, truth can be not pretty. I first stepped foot into this mall like 10 years ago when I lived behind Phipps Plaza. It used to be a calm and peaceful shopping mall. I moved out to Peachtree Road but still find myself here every week. I would enjoy my Starbucks here with my bestie. We girls would be happily chatting away week after week. About 1-2 years back, we realized occasionally some schools would take the kids here on field trips. That was even before LegoLand was opened. We meanies would say perhaps these schools were trying to show the little children what nice things they could buy when they grew up and do well in life. Seriously?? Then there was the LegoLand. The noise level went up in the mall, the bathrooms getting filthy and there are unruly kids running around. I get it that kids need to have a place to visit in Atlanta, but not in the mall please. Love the AMC here but I am finding more people are coming to this theater as if this is a zoo or another excursion trip in the city. These people started taking pictures of their kids inside the dark theater with flash. I don't think these people truly understand the meaning of being "considerate". Parking has never been an issue, I try not to park in the basement. That's just me especially in light of the carjacking incident months ago. I have no issues with the stores here, customer service is usually good to very good . Ahhhhh... And there's my favorite Tiffany here in this mall. :)
google avatar

Esther H.

Yelp
My first thought when I walked into Phipps was, "Wow. I'm WAY too broke to be shopping here." Phipps Plaza is definitely a mall where you should probably have a lot of money to be able to shop there. It's nice to walk around and see all the high-end brand name stores, though, especially Tiffany and Co. There is a Legoland on the third floor so if you have kids and you're feeling generous, that may be a place to take them. There isn't much of a food court. It's very small and it's not much of a court, either; it's more of a food aisle, I guess you can say. Seating in the food court is also limited but there are also some stand alone restaurants near the mall. For me, Phipps Plaza is fun to come to once in a while because honestly, it's too far for me. If you're spending a day in Atlanta, definitely check out Phipps.

Yelp
Had an awesome time before and after watching 'Black Panther'. Theater was awesome.....clean and comfortable. The mall itself was also a breath of fresh air compared to Lenox Square.

Yelp
This is the nicest mall I've ever been to in my life! Very very clean and everything is made of marble. It looks like the type of mall you'd find in Dubai it was so upscale. You know how in malls they'll park like the newest Hyundai in the middle of the mall to showcase it, this mall had Bentleys parked in it, that's how nice it is. This mall is freaking huge too. It's three stories and just endless. We just kept walking and finding new things. You could spend all day here from open to close and not have enough time to see each store. I'm not sure they have a food court per se, there's a few restaurants next to the LEGOLAND but it wasn't exactly a food court. Maybe a food court is too low class for this place or something. We rolled up in our sweet Dodge Journey and were surrounded by BMWs, Mercedes, Corvettes and just all sorts of super expensive cars. The star I deducted was because this place reminded me of just how low-middle class I was and made me hate myself a little bit for not being able to afford anything here. But in all honestly this place is extremely nice, but also very expensive.

Yelp
This mall is sooo beautiful and amazing!! It has sooo many good stores and the staircase is amazing in the mall!!! Lego land is soooo fun and just a great mall to go to then head over to Lenox across the street!!

Very high end stores!!!! Don't come in here looking for Forever 21 or H&M type stores. This is Gucci, Prada, Chanel land!!!! Pressed is in this mall, that's the cheapest boutique style store you'll find here.

Yelp
I'm sure you have a maintenance crew right? Do they clean? This waterfall fountain thing hasn't been cleaned in ages, algae all over and stinks like a sewer

Yelp
For me, Phipps has been a haven to escape the hustle and bustle of the Buckhead scene. Over the years, it has gone under the knife a few times, but most recently- has taken a major overhaul. The food court was eradicated and replaced with a LEGOLAND Discovery Center (apparently you cannot go in unless you have a kid, although you can shop freely there). The existing food court consists of Moe's (Subway and Johnny Rocket's are opening soon). I guess they want you to check out the full service restaurants which are scattered throughout the mall (however @ Twist, they now have a kid's menu). The Williams-Sonoma closed (one is across the street @ Lenox), and is being replaced by Sur La Table- a high end mail order company that I have yet to see a store for- Should be interesting to see how that turns out! They are also building a place called Lilly Pulitzer, I have no idea what the hell that is. Other than that, most of the mall remains unchanged (except the models of high-end cars). Most of the parking is underground, although there is limited parking near the entrances of the department stores. Please note there is valet at the Peachtree light, but be careful, that area can get congested quickly (I guess everyone wants to show off their cars!)- so take one of the many entrances/exits instead. Speaking of nice cars, also be weary of all the damn construction going on in front of the mall on Peachtree- lots of loose gravel, obstacles, and uneven road- a real easy way to mess up your car. I just hope in the grand scheme of things this place will become the grandest mall it once used to be.

Yelp
The roof leaks at the escalator area, the food court has enough seating for a few small families. The eateries outside of the food court look like you need to wear a suit and tie to enter (not that there's anything wrong with that - except that it discourages the casually dressed shopper from eating there). The stores - selection is limited and generally overpriced. Try to fit a family of 4 into an elevator with a stroller without feeling like one is in a sardine can and then wait forever for the elevator to go anywhere. It's faster to take the stairs and/or escalators. While the layout is okay, this Mall is NOT "all that" as its reputation would have you believe.

Yelp
I do not know what everyone is raving about. Terrible dining choices. Just another mall. In all my visits to the United States, this was thE first time I have ever walked into a store (I will not mention the name) and was trailed by a store security type person. I am a well-dressed, 60 year old woman and hardly look like a thief - I had no large bags on me and was clearly looking for items. The way I was treated was so insulting to me. And worse than that - not one person asked me if they could assist me in what I was looking for! When I challenged the Manager, she said it was another customer not store security. Please. I was not born yesterday. The person trailing me was not carrying a purse, and clearly worked there. I guess maybe because I'm an out of town person and of course everyone who isn't from that neighborhood must be up to no good. I did NOT get a good overall vibe from this plaza. I am still pi**ed about that incident.

Yelp
I have a long bittersweet history with Phipps Plaza. As a native Atlantan, I grew up going to Lenox, Perimeter and Phipps. When I was about 17 years old, Phipps got a MAJOR update, which is when the marble, fancier stairways and the basic interior you now see was installed. Me and my mom both worked at Lord & Taylor back then and it was a grand old department store with all the old fixtures, an alterations department and REAL customer service. I haunted the beautiful old Caswell-Massey shop with it's amazing fragrances and dark wood paneling. I gazed at the gorgeous Lalique crystal and jewelry in the Ross-Simons store shimmering softly under their spotlights. I bought incredible clothes at the old Bebe when they still carried pieces from France. The intriguing gift-shop The Mole Hole, where I found some of the best jewelry I've ever bought still wear to this day! I loved the Discovery Store, where you could buy nature books, crystals, music, etc. I even remember the opening of Elephant Tea (Teavana, as it was later re-named - now entirely out of business) and those were the days when this mall was worth being in. It had personality then, some truly unique stores and a grand quiet sort of elegance about it. Now, with the loss of almost all their moderately priced stores and moves towards being more commercial and homogenized, the structure is still familiar, but it's far removed from that serene, welcoming sanctuary of a mall that I used to love. No more fun, quirky shops and interesting people. No more Food Court - just an obvious money-grab that shoved Chik-Fil-A, sandwich, pizza places and everything else out so loud, unruly kids can run crazy around a Lego-Park. The last time I tried to see a movie here with my friends, the environment from the Lego-bound people was so obnoxious, we ended up leaving and going to a different movie theater. I used to love seeing movies here! I can't even recall how many times I've been here with my friends and family, so many memories! Funny how the box office to buy the tickets used to be on the 2nd floor and then you'd go up to the 3rd for the movie. Now I see that as a minor inconvenience to dealing with the Lego Brat-Pack! So everyone - yes this place used to be beautiful and a true gem. All the stores I loved are mostly gone. Replaced by things that are pretty much at every mall and nothing that inspires me as it used to. The way things are run now is a huge focus on immediate spending from the customer, instead of creating the kind of environment that makes people want to return again and again. Maybe it's working for them, but judging from the state of many failing malls across the country, I would say the money-grab isn't going so well. I wish Phipps could return to the mall of 20 years ago - I'd come back in a heartbeat! Farewell, friend - I truly miss you.

Yelp
This is the most luxurious mall in Atlanta .Good place to walk around , and see what's the new trend for Fashion. Every body dress very fashionable and looks smart here ,not like Lenox mall (more like a thug mall ,but I like it. At least I can buy something from there). Lot of top notch luxury brand stores are locating here (like Gucci ,Armani , .......you name it most if them). Easy way to see new collection of Bentleys and other so called super cars. Even though it's not affordable to most of the people ,it's a hidden gem in the Atlanta.
