This temple offers one of the most stunning sunset views in Cambodia, with its architectural design dating back to the 9th Century. A 10-15 minute hike is required to reach the best vantage point, where you can also catch a glimpse of the Angkor Wat Temple. Despite the cloudy weather during the rainy season, the view offers a beautiful sight.

This is the sunset point. The sunset is magnificent here. On less cloudy days, it will be a magnificent sunset. The view is clear because there are no tall buildings in this area. This is also a viewpoint for Angkor Wat temple. Considerations 1. Please wear treking shoes or clogs because the viewpoint is a flat trek of 20 something minutes. 2. Please wear full clothes because it is a temple. Optionally you will need to buy or rent a scarf. 3. Please carry cold water and umbrella or hat. The temple top is an open area with minimal shady areas. It gets really hot. 4. Try to reach by 4:30. The photo op guys capture the best spots though its hot and sunny. They use umbrellas to provide shade. Please like the comment if it helps. Thanks

Nice place, great for sunset view from the place. It's a bit of a hike from below to reach the temple but should be manageable. There is a idol at the top, but you will see most people are there for sunset view. You should get there atleast 30-45 min before sunset to get a good spot. You can use the same ticket you used for Angkor Vat to enter this temple.

This is the sunset point temple, it requires a little bit of hike around 15min to get to temple from road . The temple architecture is beautiful as usual. Its close to Angkor Wat, in fact you can see Angkor Wat from here. Unfortunately on the day i went, it was cloudy but still a great view

It's ok. You need to hike up the whole mountain to stay with hundreds of tourist on the top to make a picture of the sunset. We startet there at 17:00 and had been told to be down at 18:30 again. We walked 20 minutes. And still even at 18:10 the sun wasn't down so we walked down again without a full sunset. But it was ok since the sun was covered from the clouds later. Around 18:40 in SIEM reap town the sun went down and we saw a beautiful sunset in the town

This is the only temple in the complex built on a hill. The temple itself is beautiful, tall and majestic. The hike took about 20minutes for me because I walk slow. It was dusty going up, the ground is Cambodia is really dry in February. To get to the top of the temple, there's a fee more steps on a steep ladder. On top, you can see 360 view of the complex and the trees surrounding it. The front desk staff at our hotel recommended to see the sunset from here and so we did just like the other hundreds of tourists and locals did. TBH, go somewhere to see the sunset. It was hard to appreciate because of the crowd. There's just so many people and it was hard to get a good view.

Temple is ruins that a good spot to see the sunset. However you need to claim up to the mountain and i take around 20 minutes. Lots of people followed by a steep staircase. The sunset was nice but it is just the typical sunset from high lookout point overlooking a valley, For me.. it is just another sunset.

Phnom Bakheng is the best place to watch the sunset in Siem Reap. Watching the sunset here with my lover is meaningful to me. The views are great for taking pictures too. If you find it difficult to climb, there are motor services that can take you from the bottom to the top of the mountain. Give it a try.
