Okay so my friends and I just spent a full week at the Christy Lodge where this restaurant is located.
When I tell you we came here just about every damn day? I'm not lying.
This place was such a godsend for us. First night, after being awake since 5am traveling.. a hot homemade bowl of pho made my entire day. The super nice bartender chatted easily with us and instantly made us feel like local regulars. Then we found out they have a daily happy hour from 3-6. If you're from a ski town in Colorado, this prob sounds normal to you. If you're anywhere outside of that .. it sounds like heaven!
The food was pho-nomenal. We tried a little (more like a lot) of everything. All the kinds of pho, the appetizers, entrees, even the Vietnamese coffee. Highly recommend - any of the pho's (I liked the seafood, plus the P10), the perfectly crispy egg rolls, and the vermicelli combo bowl. The latter was so good - a bed of lettuce, a big layer of vermicelli, a HUGE layer of the most delicious chargrilled meats, and then topped with an egg roll cut into perfect bite sized pieces. Served with a really tasty and light fish sauce that was a great complement to the dish. We would have for sure eaten there every night had we not done grocery shopping before finding the place for our first dinner!
Happy hour is excellent. 3-6, seven days a week. $2 beers (ANY BEER!), $3 Pinot Grigios, merlot, and Chardonnay, and $4 large sakes. They have a good selection of beer, wine, and a good smattering of liquor. Plenty enough for anyone to be able to find what they like.
The staff was also the star of the show. Going there for a full week, I think we met everyone there possibly. Every single employee was awesome. SO friendly, and really made you feel at home. Shoutout to Justin, who kept our glasses full and took great care of us, and also the busser. I totally forget his name, I'm awful, but he was very nice.
During COVID-19, their procedures were pretty similar to other restaurants in area. They allow seating at the bar, as of December, which was like a miracle for us from PA. They had removed about half of the bar stools, so no one sat on top of anyone else. The restaurant is crazy small, but they did as good of a job as they can to space people out. I never felt uncomfortable eating in.
The restaurant also does a great takeout business. Every night, there was a steady stream of orders. I never once saw any customer wait for their food either. Def recommend for takeout if you're nervous to dine in.
Thanks so much to Pho20 for treating us so well, and keeping us fed and hydrated all week.
