"Focus on the pho here—specifically, order number 34. It comes with five different cuts of beef and meatballs, all swimming in a flavorful broth. They also make really good rice vermicelli bowls and vibrant shrimp spring rolls you should start every meal with. Unlike the Pho 79 in Pinecrest, this one doesn’t have banh mi, but you can go next door to Tea-05 and get a good one there." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Pho 76 is hands down one of the best Vietnamese spots near FIU! If you’re craving authentic pho and delicious Vietnamese dishes, this is the place to be. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced – you can really taste the care and quality that goes into every bowl. The pho noodles are always fresh and tender, and the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel like family. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch between classes or sitting down for a relaxed dinner, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I also love their spring rolls and banh mi sandwiches – the perfect complement to the pho. It’s a hidden gem for anyone in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Vietnam in Miami. I keep coming back for the pho, but the whole menu is solid. Don’t skip this place if you’re in the neighborhood!

Google
Good vietnamese restaurant next to FIU with a top pho! To us, the brisket version was much better than the seafood one. We strongly recommend to dine in rather than take out because some of the flavors and coocking style gets lost when you have to reheat the soup and assemble the plate without knowledge of timing. The service was nice and fast, the atmosphere good for a place with a large college clientele.

Good portion. I ordered 2 large House Special Pho, 1 medium House special and 1 small Pho rare beef.

OMG where do I even start?!? Best pho and spring rolls I’ve EVER HAD and this is not an exaggeration. Also, the bowl was HUGE!!! Could easily feel a family of 4 with leftovers!!! I’m coming back asap 🤤🍜

The food was super delicious and the staff went above and beyond for us! We called at 8 requesting for a table of 12 at 8:40 (last call for food is at 9). They were super nice and didn’t rush us. The food came out quick and hot. We had also brought a cake to celebrate a birthday and the staff turned on a birthday song for us, brought extra plate and utensils without us even asking. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service!

Pho 79 is located in the shopping center across FIU on 107th avenue. The service was quick. I had the passion fruit lemonade with peach popping pearls. We had not finished the appetizer when the meal was in. Absolutely fantastic. It was fresh and delicious. It was my first time trying this cuisine and I will be going back. The location was clean and as soon as someone finished they were cleaning up.

Our next family food adventure take us to Pho 79 by FIU with a category of 4.4 and more than 1,155 reviews, This restaurant offers you the opportunity to try and enjoy traditional Vietnamese food. Pho 79 is excellent place for food with lots of vegetarian options. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is quick and friendly. The Vietnamese cuisine is basically are noodles they eating regularly  along with vegetables plus soups such as Pho, rices and fish is the basic elements of this kind of food Everything we order was exquisite and perfect to eat, they cut the meat very thinly, which makes it easier to eat and makes more juicier. High recommend place if you looking for a new  kind of food culture to try.

Yelp
i loveee this place it's my go-to soup place i SWEAR this place heals me. I usually get the small 30, extra limes, and the grilled tofu to start. I've been here probably over 10 times and I have never had a complaint, you walk in and they tell you where to sit, they have virtual and physical menus, someone comes up with a lil tablet and boom you'll get your food in like 5 mins 10 max. they also have sauces to make the pho to your liking, it's very sit and go kind of environment but i have brought my airpods and watched videos while eating my soup and had the best time ever, i highly recommend. they also have a tea place right next door called tea 305 with bombbbb flavors.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience.. I am proud to self claim as somewhat pro with Phos. Because i absolutely love the pho. I decided to give this place a try since I'm in the area. I ordered a classic, simple beef broth pho with rare steak. The steak cut is so thick I took a bite and had time chewing and eating it... I also ask to make the broth spicy which was already but found out when i come to pay that making the broth spicy will cost you extra.. which was not communicated to me at all. The complementary main leaf and the bean sprouts are sitting outside for so long you could see it's turning black a little bit, so I didn't feel comfortable eating it. The server are few students as which they seem nice but very inexperienced. When I mentioned steak being too thick and broth charged actual was a surprised they didn't know how to react... so I just paid and left knowing I would never come back. I also forgot to mention this is a very overpriced place. A small Pho will cost you $18 $19 if you wanted to make it spicy. which is pretty outrageous. i've been too many great Pho places, nowhere charge price this ridiculous and provide this little food with this type of quality..

Yelp
Pho 79 is a delicious Vietnamese place in Miami! The food, service, and quality overall is greats. Staff is always friendly and they get your food out very fast. The menu has so many choices, there's also vegetarian options. Their Pho soups are so flavorful and filling. There's medium and large bowls and they come with a great amount of meat and veggies. I also love their Spring Rolls. Restaurant has a lot of space and is comfortable. I've been coming here for a few years now! I love it.

Yelp
I'm in Miami and wanted rice. This was a local recommendation for Vietnamese cuisine. First thing I noticed as I arrived to the parking lot was the horrendous parking style. Let's just say it's a crime when these customers just create their own parking lanes and ignore the drawn lines on the ground. Come on now and stop giving us Asians a bad rep. I was greeted by an employee upon entering and noticed there was only two other tables with customers on a Friday night. I decided to place my meal to go and ordered pork chops, egg, and rice. The meal is pricey and I get it that Miami is a high cost of living area but at the same time I'm expecting a good quality meal with finest seasoning for that price. The meal came out within 10 minutes or so and I was happy on my way out. Got to my hotel and opened my to go box and the meal look alright. Sorry, I forgot to take the pic as I was hungry to gobble it down. There were three pieces of pork chop and as I took a bite, I was disappointed on the lack of seasoning and was a bit disgusted on the thick fatty meat. I've had order this dish before at other Vietnamese restaurants so I'm benching the taste here. The runny sunny side up egg with rice was fine. Overall, not sure if I'd be coming back here when I'm in Miami again.

Yelp
Nice place. Not touristy. Strip mall location. All Pho places are expensive these days though. $44 before tip for a small bowl plus 1 shrimp roll and bobo drink. Fresh. Fast service.

Yelp
Pho 79 has a few locations. This location is next to the Publix next to FIU. There are different phos for any of your cravings. . I usually go for the small as it is a big portion. I love the overall vibe of the place . It so comforting to have a big bowl of pho. I love the veggie pho ! I know that the summer rolls are a hit also. Easy parking and you are quickly seated. The small pho is about 17 dollars. . I highly recommend this spot. More of a casual vibe

Daniela V.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, and most of the servers are incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, there is one staff member who consistently seems to have an attitude. My friend and I have both noticed that she often looks unapproachable, which can be discouraging. While everyone has bad days, working in a restaurant typically requires a warm and welcoming demeanor, and if you can't handle that then simply don't work at a restaurant. A more positive and professional approach would really enhance the dining experience.

Yelp
Very smart to have a joint tea place with your next door neighbor. The only place I know nearby which has avocado smoothie with boba specifically. Pho is very sweet rather than salty which I'm more used to, but still, gets the job done to satisfy my cravings. Very very good avocado smoothies. Heads up that you must go up to pay the check, no server will come to pick it up for you.

Yelp
Our first time in Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale and we were craving Vietnamese food. This restaurant is highly recommended on Reddit but it's pretty disappointing. It's in a little strip mall with plenty of parking and other viet cafes next to it. It's a pretty old viet restaurant, the utensils on the table were not well washed. The service was quick and they were attentive. They pho was okay, not that flavorful. The noodles were not fresh rice noodles.

Steve D.

Yelp
Basic well cooked Vietnamese food and plentiful for the price. Worthy of another visit or two.

Emma L.

Yelp
Ordered take out, once again Pho 79 does not disappoint. Love the various protein options they offer, tasty, healthy and delicious! They are generous with their portions, even with take out.

Thomas P.

Yelp
I grew up in Little Saigon in Orlando and this is the closest thing I've found in South Florida. The food is incredibly fresh and well seasoned with all of the classic dishes that make me nostalgic. The service is excellent with the food hitting your table within 10 minutes of ordering (I've been twice during lunch and was impressed with the speed both times). The Viet iced coffee is addictive and their tofu is out of this world. The tofu dishes can be made vegan (no fish sauce). The restaurant itself is very clean, but casual with videos playing on the TV.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Alright Vietnamese food in a pinch. Went here with my parents because the Pinecrest location wasn't open as early and although it was alright, it didn't quite hit the spot the way the other location does. We started off with spring rolls which were pretty well made, fresh with a good but not excessive amoutn of noodles and greens. My parents got beef pho which was alright and Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) that didn't quite have the depth of flavor and savoriness that you expect from a really good Bun Bo Hue, it was also lacking in spice. My pork chop rice platter had two nice sized chops but in a light brown pretty sweet sauce that was very different from the typical grilled marinated flavor of Vietnamese pork. While the taste was alright, it lacked that nice chargrilled flavor and savoriness I was hoping for. The location and service are nice and the food is satisfying enough in a pinch, but if you want truly authentic or memorable Vietnamese food I would keep looking around.

Jimmy W.

Yelp
Great vibe great people. The food was good and they have a large pho! Very big and can feed 2.

Luis R.

Yelp
Got interested in this place after a family member mentioned it to me. This is probably my seventh time here and the quality of the food is always good. Comes out fast as well

Carlos S.

Yelp
Great food, great service, generous portions and good prices. It doesn't get any better than this if you like exotic oriental food, this is the place to go. Yummy!!

Jacquelle J.

Yelp
Pho 79 located in front of fiu college. Fast service, I been twice both times I had the same experience food was good drinks good too. I had the spring rolls, so pretty lol I had beef pho with beef broth

Natalie G.

Yelp
This place was so much better than I expected it to be! I have never tried Pho before but this was a great experience. I got the vegetarian pho with vegetables and tofu and it was simply delicious. The veggie broth was yummy and flavorful, adding the hosin sauce and chili sauce only helped it even more. The Thai tea was great and perfectly sweetened. Inside is cozy and great for big groups! I went with 6 of my girlfriends. The service was quick and easy! You pay at the front desk and you're good to go. I really enjoyed this spot and plan to go back here

Luna L.

Yelp
The service 2/10 The lady who ordered us seem serious. Food 2/10 Prices are too high. A bowl of small noodle pho is $17 medium $19 and Large is 22$ Just few pieces of meats. The broth is just ok. I don't. Know why Vietnamese food in Florida is so expensive. 2 little spring roll a for $7 Hell no to come back again.

Kianna S.

Yelp
I went here at the shopping at the mall because I've never pho before. I ordered the calamari, pho, mangonada, a bowl, boba smoothie and salt and pepper shrimp. we first ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and when it arrived and looked very good and the breading on it was very good, but the calamari was terrible. It tasted like water, maybe frozen calamari we had to return it because it was not edible. So we decided to get the salt and pepper shrimp. That was our first time ordering the salt and pepper shrimp and oh my God it was delicious that had to be the best shrimp I've ever ate in my life, the seasoning the crunch the crust on it was very good and if I were able to go back, I would definitely get two orders of the shrimp. The mango and it was delicious. I ordered the pho and it was OK. The broth wasn't flavorful. I'm guessing because it was chicken. I've seen people say they ordered the beef broth before but I wanted to try the chicken. My boyfriend ordered some kind of noodles. He said it was decent.

Lo L.

Yelp
$31 for a bowl of Bún Thit nùòng and a drink is ridiculous! I just moved here and since it's hot, wanted a cold dish. I read that Pho 79 was good so gave it a chance. There's no clear direction on if you seat yourself or order up front. I got seated and already knew what I wanted. This dish is a cold rice vermicelli dish with grilled pork, fresh herbs, and veggies. What was served to me was not that! It was steaming hot! There was something off about the sauce as well. What also confused me was they advertised egg rolls so I asked if they had imperial rolls to add which they didn't. The drink, passion fruit lemonade, was also hot. Took awhile to mix and wait for the ice to cool the drink down. I'm confused how this is a vietnamese restaurant when the simplest of dishes is so badly made. Definitely not worth $31. Still blows my mind! And I thought San Francisco was expensive!

Stephany G.

Yelp
The Tai Chin Pho is a standout dish that combines tender beef, rice noodles, and a flavorful broth for a truly comforting and aromatic bowl of goodness. The egg rolls are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and a savory filling that bursts with flavor. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere add to the overall charm of the restaurant. If you're craving delicious Japanese cuisine, Pho79 is the place to go

Joshua S.

Yelp
I am sad and disappointed. I've gone to Pho 79 various times and never had a problem, but today I noticed something in the fish sauce, the liquid in the glass container, HAD AN ACTUAL HOUSE FLY floating amongst the liquid ( and I do have a video of it). I was pouring it in the soup various times and noticed the FLY when I had nearly eaten the whole soup and quite frankly I don't know how long it's been marinating in there... This is a sad day, the place has assisted me in getting through the school semesters when I had to wind down from classes, and enjoy a nice meal. BUT this makes me think about how long the restaurant may have overlooked certain things and health protocols that may endanger our health. Please pass this along to FIU students. To the Owners/Managers... please be more careful and pay f**king attention to how you coordinate things and how you manage your staff to look out for shit like this. Someone could get very very VERY sick if you aren't not attending to these details. As well, I ran into a friend after the restaurant and told him what happened... he told me of stories that others have told him about unsafe and unsanitary practices. I apologize to the establishment but this is something that MUST NEVER BE PUSHED ASIDE.

Nicole C.

Yelp
I ordered take out today, #30, brisket, flank & steak. I was charged for this & left a nice tip. I did fail to check my order before leaving the restaurant, I only received the flank & brisket. I only received 3 tiny pieces of flank & a few thin shreds of flank. I'm very disappointed.

Dan C.

Yelp
The food is still good but those prices skyrocketed by almost 75% more! Hopefully they will drop again as inflation is slowing.

C K.

Yelp
Been searching for a Vietnamese place lately and thought with places like tranan being culture vultures that I'd be out of luck. Well thankfully pho79 stands out as a truly authentic and enjoyable Vietnamese place. Down to the seasonings and spices used. Would highly recommended.

Jason S.

Yelp
This place is getting terrible. The prices have gone way up since a few years ago and now they don't even give you that much food especially when you order to go. As soon as I find another pho place and switching this is rediculous

Sergio R.

Yelp
The prices at this place has become outrageous we are talking like a 80% to 90% on price increase on Pho in 4 years . Pho is a poor man food in Vietnam how ironic. In other Pho 79 location is cheaper and all other Pho places are cheaper by $4 to $6.

Cassidy W.

Yelp
We sat ourselves and were greeted from the lady behind the counter. They immediately brought us water and took our order. The food came out in 5 minutes and was delicious! This was my first time trying Pho and I was thoroughly impressed. Such a cute little place to have lunch with friends. We will be back!

Mary Jo S.

Yelp
This place was absolutely delicious! My server Alex was so awesome and surprised me with the best bowl of Pho I have ever tasted! Overall great vibes!

Maria Paulina R.

Yelp
First time trying Pho and It was soooo good. For the great food, price and service I highly recommended.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Have been coming here for a long time but had to stop due to the increase in prices. Came back after a while and was so surprised. A small used to be about 10-11 bucks, now it's $17!! It's just not worth the money. Tastes great but not economical at all. The pho 79 on Pinecrest is a little cheaper, more food options, and cleaner.

Nancy G.

Yelp
Traditional food, amazing flavors. Staff friendly and prices decent. Ambiance family friendly.

Adriana G.

Yelp
My order here is pretty basic. I always get the chicken pho and i don't get anything extra on it but i enjoy my meal here every time. The service is pretty fast and the employees are all friendly. I've never had an issue here and the parking is convenient, you don't have to pay and you won't have to walk far either. I went for Valentine's Day and it was pretty packed, the most full I'd ever seen it. I like that they offer boba however I personally like going to the place next door. Overall, it's a pretty causal environment here and I'll continue to come back.

Lissett R.

Yelp
It s been some time since I last was here and it's changed. Food quality that is. I remember the Pho broth with this incredible taste. Not this time. I had the round and brisket as usual. I normally ask for the meat rare, it was but it didn't look right and left it out..

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pros: best place to pho it up, so many veggies!! Super fast service, it's practically healthy AF fast food. Def my go to when I go by FIU! Delicious! Cons: No spirits, but it's all good, get a tea!

Ken S.

Yelp
Regardless of whether you order the small, medium, or large pho bowl, you will likely receive the same amount of noodles - just with more soup. I ordered the large pho and had to ask the waiter why I received 4 bites of noodles as I lifted all the contents of the bowl in my chopsticks. With a nod implying that he already knew the issue, he went and got me a bowl of side noodles, which provided more noodles than what I had in the original bowl of large pho that I ordered. I've been here a few times and the rest of the times I simply did not say anything because I chose to just make the best of it, but this has been a consistent issue that the public should know about. Pho 79 WILL skimp you on your food when you order the pho. Beware.

Leana W.

Yelp
Love getting their food to go the way the package it is very good and never spills in the bag for me. I tried their pho of course and a noodle dish both are great!

Joshua T.

Yelp
Came here last year on a whim and couldn't find the name. Fast forward to today when I stumbled upon it out of the blue. This place was just as amazing as I remember!

Ammoni R.

Yelp
Was greeted as soon as I walked in and food was ready pretty quick. One of the raw meats were hidden under the veggies so I didn't see it until after I was about to throw my to go container away but the taste overall was definitely a 10/10. This place is a hike from me but will be my go-to pho spot moving forward

Frieda S.

Yelp
This establishment always hits the spot. Great soup and so flavorful. I've been coming here for years and find this location is the best. You know it's good and spicy when you start sweating while eating it. Can't get enough!

margarita g.

Yelp
Excellent busy and fast service soup is amazing spicy.spring roll yummy. Service is fast! Ambience is good.

Dino C.

Yelp
$20+for a bowl of pho is ridiculous, the same store in Davie is cheaper and bigger dish size.

Tommy M.

Yelp
Best pho in Miami in my opinion. The broth is more flavorful and savory than other pho in Miami. The meats taste much better as well.

Paulo I.

Yelp
I'm a big pho guy, that's why I when I heard of Pho 79 I had to try it out. The menu is pretty simple to understand, they have various pho dishes with chicken or beef or seafood. They also have boba tea, and rice bowls with chicken or beef or seafood. The rice bowl was delicious. Although, the beef cuts were a bit too big and hard to cut down with chop sticks, it was still flavorful. I ordered the seafood pho which was alright, the broth was delicious and I like how they offer several fixing, but the squid was rubbery and over cooked. I had the beef pho last time and in my opinion it was way better. Overall I really like Pho 79 I just ordered the wrong dish. Next time I'm getting the rice bowl or maybe I'll try the chicken pho.

Jessica W.

Yelp
This place has easily become my go to spot! It's so hard to find good and authentic Viet food or any Asian food in Miami tbh. But everything here was really fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. 10/10

Awzean F.

Yelp
Pho 79 offers a delightful experience for pho lovers. The traditional pho is rich in flavor, and the generous portions ensure you leave satisfied. The abundance of seating and parking make it convenient for diners. However, the service leaves something to be desired; during recent visits, the waiter only appeared when delivering our food and at the end for the check, neglecting to check on us or offer more water. On the bright side, the service is swift, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The highlight is the fresh assortment of veggies that accompany the pho, adding a refreshing touch to the overall dining experience.

Yolanda H.

Yelp
Went to have some Pho yesterday at this location. Have to say I was a bit shocked at the increase in there prices on a bowl of Pho. Last time I ate at this location was pre pandemic, but they have doubled there prices. I paid $16.99 for a small bowl with a couple pieces of meat and maybe a half cup of noodles. Mostly broth. It was still tasty , but with these prices I doubt I will be back. Not worth the price at all. So be aware. The prices on line are not the true prices. Oh and they charge for and extra piece of lemon you ask for as well. Terrible!
