"Pho 95 is the kind of place that always seems to have a small wait, be it the depths of winter or a scorching mid-August day. And even though there are easily 15 other pho restaurants within jogging distance, this is the place to go in Little Saigon. The pho, especially the bowls overflowing with the spot’s real claim to fame - a fried-garlic heavy veggie broth - always arrive with heaping plates of basil, dandelion, limes, and beansprouts. Though for anyone not quite so soup-inclined, the menu also has beef short rib plates, noodle bowls, and crispy noodle options." - Colin Wrenn

EDIT 02/17/2025 We are still coming to this location and we continue to love it!!! This Has Been The Best Pho Restaurant I Have Ever Visited. The Place Is Nice and Neat, They Avoided The Fast Food Dirty Look. The Servers Were Very Polite and Fast. They Had Very Tasty and Refreshing Milkshakes and Smoothies That Complemented The Hot Hearty Pho. The Pho Came Out Fast, The Broth Was Nice and Tasted Like Chicken, The Noodles Were Soft, They Served A Lot Of Noodles Too, Not One Spoonful Of Hard Noodles Like Other Places. The Chicken Was Soft and Easy To Chew, Thinly Sliced For Easy Eating. We Definitely Left Wanting To Continue Eating Until Exploding. We Have Visited This Place Every Weekend Since.

Great pho! Would recommend and will definitely return! Prices reasonable. Plenty of parking, not too busy.

Long piece of matted, dirty, greasy hair came out in a bite of one of my egg rolls. I have never been so disgusted. My seafood Pho came with only three pieces of shrimp for the entire large bowl. I’ve ordered from them before and have never received such poor service. Must be going downhill. Won’t be ordering from them EVER again.

UPDATE: YES IVE DINED WITH YOU multiple times which is why i was shocked that i didnt even receive an APOLOGY at the very least. I believe it WAS racially motivated because of this. If you look in their reviews, this is not the first time that they’ve done this to a customer. It’s not an isolated incident. Your response is lousy and you can trust and believe I will not be visiting your LOUSY establishment any time in the near future! This establishment is merely my backup restaurant for when my regular spot is not open. Work on your customer service and how you treat RETURNING CUSTOMERS rather than calling my ACCURATE “accusations “ “baseless”. Gtfo I came in around 12:50 on a Tuesday and none of my food came out til 1:20. Instead, multiple asian individuals and pick up orders were served and people who came in after me were served both their appetizers and main dish before i was served the one bowl of pho i ordered. Ridiculous and discriminatory. No apologies were given to me (a black woman). I decided to leave. After nearly 40 mins of waiting. Go somewhere else!insane

Google
Excellent restaurant! The food is not your typical Vietnamese, it’s much better! The Pho broth has an excellent balance of flavor, not overly salty and not watery, and has a “full” taste. Their salads are even great. I’ve had the beef salad twice and love the flavors they mix to achieve their unique taste. The best part, the prices are very reasonable and you will get a satisfying portion. I highly recommend this place! Don’t let the size of the restaurant fool you!

Google
The pho chicken is really good. The broth is good and the potion is big. The price is reasonable. Staff is nice. (I ordered for carry out) forget to take a picture of food

Google
Pho with well done brisket was delicious - plenty of meat without a lot of fat. Crispy spring rolls were also excellent. Good food for a reasonable price.

Located in Van Dorn Plaza, this is a great place to stop off for a meal when you're shopping, banking, or filing your income tax next door. Good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff make this a favorite neighborhood restaurant. Lots of parking and on the DASH #30 and #35 routes.

Yelp
Pho 95 consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. I've been here twice, and both times have been outstanding. The House Special Pho is my go-to, and it never disappoints--the broth is rich and flavorful, and every ingredient is fresh and well-prepared. Service is another strong point. The staff is fast, professional, and efficient, ensuring that orders arrive promptly without feeling rushed. It's a well-run operation that makes the experience seamless. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a warm bowl of pho. Whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time, Pho 95 is a reliable spot for quality Vietnamese food and excellent service.

Yelp
This spot is perfect for winter! The menu offers plenty of options, from rice dishes to amazing pho. The broth is well-seasoned, with fresh basil, jalapeño, and bean sprouts to top it off. The beef flank pho had just the right amount of beef and noodles, while the chicken noodle soup came loaded with tender, fresh chicken--seriously satisfying. I would take a pass on the pork rolls... too dry and a smidgeon of pork. The green tea was a bit weak, and no refills, but the clean dining area and lovely table service made up for it. Oh, and the bathroom? Immaculate, with a neon-lit ceiling--unexpected but delightful. Don't miss this cozy pho haven this season!

Jesse K.

Yelp
This place absolutely has an amazing pho but the other food is meh. I went there when it is not busy at all. So I didn't have to wait so long This place is definitely one of the cleaner Vietnamese restaurants I've been. I like it. Unless I find the better Vietnamese place, I will keep coming here.

Simer C.

Yelp
Ambiance: (5/5) Great seating and the restaurant is very clean. Price: (3/5) I feel like it is slightly high for the area. Usually a large at other places is $11-$12. Food: (4/5) I really liked the options they had of different meat combinations. The beef was tender and there were plenty of noodles in the large bowl. Broth was really good as well. Not too salty. I really liked adding chilli oil to mine. I wish they had a spicy broth option. I've seen a few places do that and that menu item does really well. Service: (4/5) Staff is very nice, but my food took a little longer than I am used to at other pho places. Someone that came in after me got their food before me.

Jenny G.

Yelp
We had a very pleasure experience at Pho 95. We went for dinner and didn't had to wait to be seated. We ordered the Pho Dac biet and a grilled chicken bun. The pho had alot of meat and noodles, and the broth was good. The grilled chicken was sweet grilled. It was all fresh ingredients. One of my best bun I have had. I will remember this experience for a long time.

Christopher C.

Yelp
My go to Pho place. Always good. Definitely recommend the crispy egg rolls (I prefer with peanut sauce).

Analizabeth D.

Yelp
Always great. Vegetable broth for vegan pho is rich and tasty. Service is always good.

Jennyfer W.

Yelp
4.5/5- review for takeout only as I hadn't had the chance to eat in person! This is my go-to pho place if I am under the weather. I normally get their house special pho or p3 with flank steak and tendon. They give you a good amount of meat, pho, and veggies and I always enjoy their broth! I always get an extra broth as well because it's that good! Service is fast, I normally DoorDash it and it comes on time. Would like to go in person to try other dishes.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Hmmm service was very very very bland. The guy has zero emotions lol. He just has his AirPod in his ear and it feels like he is just forced to work for the family business.... That's the feeling I got. We got 4 large noodles and the meat was all over cooked. It also took a long time for the food to come out. This dish is usually very very fast because you're just throwing premade broth into a bowl and raw beef etc. I honestly don't know how it took 20 mins for us to get the food and it wasn't even busy. There were only 4 tables with customers there. I wouldn't visit again, very underwhelming in taste and mood.

Em N.

Yelp
Aw man, I really don't like to put up poor reviews especially for Viet food because I am Vietnamese. I'm truly confused how it has any more stars. I ordered to-go a Pho Dac Biet, Bun Dac Biet, and a pork and shrimp spring roll. The pho was super dark and tasteless, and didn't have any pho smell, almost like black colored water. I couldn't eat it. I actually still am not sure what that liquid was supposed to be. The meat was thin. There were barely any noodles. The bun thit was also disappointing. The meat was again too thin and barely grilled. The shrimp were pretty good. The egg roll was actually very good. The fish sauce was too watered down. And then I ordered the pork and shrimp spring roll, and it came with only pork but it was once slice of the thinnest almost non existent piece of pork. The sauce was good. My fiancé thought it was vegetarian, that's how thin the pork slice was. The one good thing is when I ordered it, the food came pretty quick, so I assume it was quick service at the restaurant. I was so disappointed. It's too bad..

Jessica P.

Yelp
they're closed all day on wednesdays even though apple says they're open false advertisement i guess

Christina L.

Yelp
Great pho!!! I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never tried this place before ( I don't live near here). I was craving pho and happened to be driving by the shopping center, so I had to stop in and try. I'll be returning to try other items next time. For pho, it's a 5 out of 5. Highly recommend.

Jen S.

Yelp
This is our usual quick and tasty Viet spot. The menu is limited, but what they do have is always good. I feel they have the best pho broth in the area. The main server is quick and efficient. He runs take out, ordering of eat in and helping out any way possible. There are usually other kitchen runners who will bring out food when it's ready. It's not super fancy, but clean and has everything you need. We can come here and get a quick bite and we know it will be good.

Sally Y.

Yelp
I have tried pho restaurants all over Virginia. I've had friend's grandmothers and aunties hit me with the homemade pho. I thought I had greatness, but hands down, this place kicks all the others in the booty big time. The broth is so clean and flavorful. I've had it hungover, and I left the broth out; not one piece of congealed fat from how clean it is. Whoever is making this broth must be protected at all times, and I want to send them birthday presents

Andrew J P.

Yelp
The pho always savory and delicious with big portions. The thai tea was sweet and refreshing. The summer rolls were light and flavorful, especially paired with the peanut sauce

Peter Y.

Yelp
Food is good and delivered fast! Location is just next to highway 50 very convenient!

Carla J.

Yelp
Pho with white meat chicken (GaTrang) was very good. I was disappointed in the Grilled Beef Vermicelliand the egg rolls fell apart.

Ani T.

Yelp
Ordered take out. The pho was decent but was disappointed that they did not include the hoisin and sriracha sauce as other pho places do. I ordered a side of spring rolls and they were so greasy that I threw them away. I couldn't eat either of them despite trying to take the grease off by wrapping them in paper towels. It was disgusting - Overcooked and saturated in oil. First time I've ever tossed out food from a restaurant because of the way it was prepared. I usually can tolerate some grease but this was excessive. Will not be ordering from here again.

Shabaz Q.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent tasting authentic vietnamese Pho. The flavor of the broth is perfect down to the T. The summer shrimp rolls with the peanut sauce are the best app hands down. You won't regret coming out here.

Brie E.

Yelp
I just recently discovered this pho, and it is abruptly my favorite in the area. The egg roll is incredibly flavorful and almost worth ordering just for that. And the pho is rich and flavorful, especially after you add in all of the accoutrements and spices that come with it. I'm a spice fan, so this was critical. I've kind of gotten to be a snob of late. And this is definitely my favorite local pho location

A R.

Yelp
Out of all of Alexandria, this is my go-to pho joint, and with good reason, not just because they have excellent vegetarian and regular pho. Family owned, clean, comfortable and great menu options, you can tell the kitchen staff put a lot of heart and soul into their cooking. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite for yourself or with friends, the staff is very accommodating and willing to be flexible with certain menu options. My gf and I love the regular pho, but for a lighter option chose the vegetarian pho with no noodles, and it was just as good. I am surprised at how consistently they are able to bring a total flavor package every time I visit. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed

Kenosha C.

Yelp
This was the biggest mistake, normally I order chicken pho soup. But today I ordered shrimp fried rice, the ingredients sounded delicious however I was in for a rude awakening the white rice was clumped 2 days old rice and let's talk about the shrimp.... see for yourself the actual shrimp that goes inside those little spring/egg rolls! Very disappointed! **so NOT worth $15**

Eric J.

Yelp
The veggie pho is great every time, get is with a side fred rice. The white meat chicken pho is also great, enjoy

Trevor W.

Yelp
Love this spot, great customer service always the same gentlemen that takes my order i absolutely love the broth it is amazing. I always come here the next morning after a long night of drinking, and of course whenever I want some great Pho lol ! Just this spot a try

Olander W.

Yelp
Was a flight attendant many years always trying to find the taste of the countries I've been to here in VA and they are Perfect authentic and delicious for any season or reason. Uncle O's Corner

Jennie K.

Yelp
With recent and enduring events happening in our world today, it is extremely important to support small and local businesses. Pho 95 has been very consistent. I haven't really had a chance to dine in but taking food to go has always been a great option for me to stay safe and keep others safe, while allowing businesses to thrive. The pho is great! The broth is tasty, the noodles are always cooked well, and you get plenty of fix ins. I also really like the wings here, along with the basil shrimp, and the egg rolls! I also think the price is right here. The pho restaurants around the area can get quite expensive so I appreciate reasonable prices! Would definitely recommend friends and family to try this place. Continue to do your part to help out your local businesses! They need the help more than ever! Who wouldn't want to eat delicious food and know that their purchase made a difference?

Dee M.

Yelp
I ordered the V4. Grilled Beef Vermicelli / Bún Bò Nớng and my friend ordered pho. We both really liked our food and thought that they were very generous with their portions. We particularly loved their perfectly delicious spring rolls (though they were piping hot)! Customer service was decent, until they started hinting really strongly that they were closing and we needed to get out haha. I don't have much to say in this review except that their food was good and you should give them a try.

Pavina S.

Yelp
I don't often eat it at a restaurant because my family makes it really well, but I hadn't eaten it a while and was really craving some on a cold winter day. I randomly chose this place because it was nearby. They have, what I think, a typical menu for a pho restaurant (also includes other Vietnamese dishes). The basil shrimp appetizer caught my eye and as someone who loves basil, how have I never had something like this before? Other places need to include basil in their shrimp in a blanket dishes! Game changer. I ordered the pho with the steak, brisket, and flank. Their "small" bowl is a generous size. The broth on its own is very good and flavorful. It's possible to eat it as is, but I like to add more seasonings like the hoisin sauce, sriracha, and chili oil. I needed to add at least 5 scoops of the chili oil to make it spicy for my tasting (i.e. I need to be sniffling the more I eat). There was a good amount of meat in the bowl too and they were thin and tender. I only managed to eat half of my bowl but if I came in hungrier, maybe I could've finished it all. I'm super happy I found a place to eat satisfactory pho.

John F.

Yelp
9/12/20 The first thing I noticed while being seated is our server wasn't wearing a mask. I would not be here if my wife didn't want to eat here. I was again introduced to the owner of this store. I did not recognize her, but she was acting as one of the chefs today. A charming young lady. I informed her about the staff member, because I don't want this business slapped with a fine or worse. The problem was quickly taken care of and we both could relax a bit more. The food came out delicious as ever. I also tried both the Watermelon Ice Tea and The Watermelon Smoothie without dairy products in them. This includes soy or almond milk. Between the two, I liked the smoothie the most.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
A total disappointment. The cha gio/crispy eggrolls were lukewarm, soggy, and grease filled. Half the wrapping was missing on one. Order the gouse special pho and was served only one kind of beef, and got a joke's worth of tendon and a 1/4 of a meatball. $13 pho and the meat doesnt even fill my palm. The quantities and quality don't match the price.

Ellen L.

Yelp
The pho and summer roll were great. My mom and brother finished it all in record time to be honest. The chicken vermicelli bowl was delicious but the chicken could use some work. It tasted like I was eating tofu, there was no smokiness or charred flavor. However the ingredients in the bowl were so fresh and delicious it made up for it.

Una D.

Yelp
More like two and a half stars The food Summer rolls were rather bland Pho: it was good but I thought that the broth was a bit weak compared to pho huy which is only a few minutes drive from here. Ambiance is nice Parking This is free and in a lot Service A bit on the slower side and they were not very busy at all Price This seems high given the quality of the food and quantity. overall I'm glad I tried it but I don't think I would rush back here.

Robert C.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Pho year round and I have my "go to" places and I have just added another. I can't speak to other menu items but the Pho is authentic and excellent. Lots of noodles and protein. The broth is tasty and filled with onions and scallions. There's no much of a crowd so I hope others try this place to keep it going.

Louis V.

Yelp
This place is still delicious and one of my favorites!! The pho 95 house special is my go to but the meatball pho are a close second! The fried chicken wings are really tasty with sauce it comes with. The crispy spring rolls are also a must get here. Check this place out if you're in the area for sure!

Hannah H.

Yelp
Pho 95's is a newer Vietnamese/pho place that opened up in the Van Dorn Plaza. They offer starters such as summer rolls, egg rolls, and basil shrimp; salads; rice dishes; vermicelli noodle dishes; and smoothies and ches. I had the P6 - Pho Tai, Chin, which contained rice noodles, medium rare steak, brisket, scallions and sliced white onion in a beef broth (the broth itself was pretty flavorful and had a hearty beef-y flavor; it was a tad bit sweet, but with adding some sriracha, it sort of alleviated that sweetness. The meat was definitely plentiful as well and can be quite overwhelming! I really liked that it contained a generous amount of rice noodles, which seemed like the bowl contained an extra helping (or 2) of it! The hubs had P11 - Ga Den, Pho Chicken Dark Meat, which contained rice noodles, dark meat pieces, scallions, and sliced white onion in a chicken broth - this was super sweet, and I wasn't a fan of it. There were, however, a generous amount of chicken meat and noodles. We also shared R1 - Com Suon Nuong, Grilled Pork Chop - a dish that had steamed white rice, 2 grilled pork chops, a mixed salad, and a side of fish sauce; I was not a fan of this dish, as the pork chops were super bland - it seemed to have a nice color to it, but it didn't seem to have been marinated long enough and just tasted like a naked grilled pork chop. Dipping it in the fish sauce didn't help, either. I just wished there was chili oil/sate sauce, as I think that could enhance the broth even more. Service was very friendly and warm. The place itself is kept clean and is pretty spacious. +generous amount of rice noodles in pho! +friendly and warm service +located in the Van Dorn Plaza

S G.

Yelp
Every single time I'm not feel well - my stomach is not having it, - my husband takes me here for some soup that normally does the trick. The staff is super friendly, and attentive, & their food is great. I always ask for the same items: pork/shrimp summer rolls, beef/meatball pho with extra noodles, and a Sprite. Mind you, I don't drink all the juice of the pho in its entirety...hence the extra noodles (lmao). My husband tends to ask for the combination fried rice & he loves it! Their food is always on point with flavor, and quantity and I tend to always go there when I need something that's not that heavy. I strongly recommend their restaurant...it's both great in food & service!!

Renuka C.

Yelp
So good!! Menu has a range of pho, noodle, and rice dishes. We got Pho Ga (small and large). You can add fresh bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapeño peppers, chili oil, Sriracha, or soy sauce. Fast service and good prices too. We dined in. It looks recently renovated and is clean.

Hunter R.

Yelp
This is some of the best chicken Pho I've ever had... and I've had a LOT. This photo doesn't do it justice. Super fresh ingredients. Chicken is super tender. I get mine with the traditional Pho (beef) broth and it's perfect... very flavorful and came steaming (via DoorDash).

Matthew S.

Yelp
Yes, I am back on the Pho train. For those that do not know, back in February of 2016, I went to a Pho restaurant in Manassas and suffered a terrible case of food poisoning. While I got better in 3 days, it left me with a terrible aversion to this beloved noodle dish. Just smelling it would make me sick. A little over three years later, I am happy to report the urge to want it again, has returned. What I like especially about this restaurant, other than the cleanliness and ease of prices (and yes, the food is great), is that they do not judge you. In the past, I have been to Pho restaurants where the owner literally stared at me as I was eating it like I was doing something wrong to the dish they feel is their baby. Yes, there is a right and a wrong way to eat Pho, but if I am giving them my business, who cares how I eat it? They should be happy I am paying them. Now, they lost my business because they were all about how it should be eaten instead of worrying about the bigger picture. Get a grip. So this place makes sure that you are taken care of the right way, and the food backs it up. The portion is plentiful, and you can really pick your meats here to ensure you do not get any meat or vegetable you do not want. It makes for a much more pleasant and tasty experience. There are plenty of videos out there that show you how to eat Pho properly, but whether you are a rookie, or have eaten Pho several times, it should not matter. Enjoy yourself, I will not judge you.

Xavier B.

Yelp
Two words. Perfect Pho. I always order a large Shrimp Pho with an appetizer of the chicken egg roll, for a drink I have a Thai Tea with a water on the side. Definitely recommend. If you don't know what to get for your first time, try my order!

Tanzina A.

Yelp
We went for lunch and ordered chicken pho and beef vermicelli noodle bowl. The pho was was- the broth wasn't as rich as some that I've had before. It lacked the strong aroma. The beef vermicelli bowl was good but wish there was more aroma and flavor in the beef strips alone.. most of the flavor came from the sauce on the side rather than the beef. Overall, it was alright.

Lauren W.

Yelp
Pho 95, by far, is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've found in the area. The pho broth is simply outstanding. My go-to is P6 (Pho Tai, Chin) with rare steak. Another staple I order and absolutely swear by is R3 Grilled Beef (Com Thit Bo Nuong). It comes with rice, as well as lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatos, and a to-die-for sauce I put all together to make wraps. I sometimes add extra chicken to the order and find myself in protein heaven! I've also made special trips to the location just to get my summer roll fix in. The pork and shrimp is out if this world and I could probably drink the creamy peanut sauce it comes with from straw. It's just perfect! On top of all that, the service is amazing! On the singular occasion my take-away order was wrong, the owner graciously compensated the meal and personally ensured my order was correct when I drove back to pick up the missing item. Made my day :) All-in-all, I highly recommend Pho 95. Great taste and portions for the price, and a kind staff you can't help but root for.

William K.

Yelp
This is my favorite Pho spot EVER! Ive always had a hard time finding a great pho spot, most places are whatever but this Pho is on point and service is awesome and quick. Always a great homey experience. I drove 40 mins to get here and it was definetly well worth the drive, 100% recommend this place to all my friends and family!

Hong M.

Yelp
Prefer Pho 95's pho over others I've had in the area. Flavor of the broth was good and they offer two sizes. Had the brisket/meatball pho and shrimp summer rolls. Enjoyed my entire meal. Came just after noon on Friday and got seated right away. Several groups arrived immediately after me and were promptly attended to.

Oksana Z.

Yelp
We have been going to this place for years until we moved, it's just so good! I love their summer rolls, especially the sauce. Pho is always great, the broth is on point. Occasionally tried other dishes as well. No complaints.

Wendell B.

Yelp
One of my favorite Pho places in my neighborhood. Owner is great and very personable. One thing that concerns me, and I see another reviewer has noted this too, twice in the last week I've been in the restaurant to eat when not busy and "manager" serves without mask. I would hate to see them hit with a fine, but it is required that masks be worn indoors except when eating. Plus why would he risk catching something from a diner not wearing a mask and then transmitting it to other staff or customers? Otherwise, food is always great. Hand sanitizers on table. Restroom clean. And I agree with another reviewer, the restrooms should be unisex so there's no waiting or awkwardness of a male using a restroom designated for women.

Deb K.

Yelp
Since this pandemic started my husband and I have had to stay home more than usual because we both have health conditions that make us high risk. One positive thing that's resulted from having to stay in is that via Uber Eats & other 3rd party services we have gotten to discover a lot of great food spots throughout the DMV. One of our latest orders was from Pho 95. Both hubby and I ordered the house pho and one thing I liked is that you got to select how you wanted your flank steak done. Hubs ordered his well done and I asked for medium rare. Both our dishes came perfectly cooked and came with a nice selection of jalapeño,bean sprout, basil and cilantro along with the soup noodles. Our broth was very tasty and hot when it arrived. Hub got some crispy spring rolls he liked alot. I ordered shrimp/pork summer roll. My summer roll was slightly too chewy but the filling was fresh and plentiful. We ended our meal with the Almond Cake which was absolutely fantastic. Next time I'm ordering more than one piece. In my opinion if a place delivers great food then in person dining must be really good. Im glad we discovered Pho 95! Once this is over we plan to goto alot of the places we've discovered in the last year plus. Pho 95 is only about 3 miles from our place so we definitely plan to try dining at Pho 95 and we will be ordering from here again too.

Skye P.

Yelp
We came here for dinner (for two) since my boyfriend is dead-set convinced that all LEGITIMATE pho restaurants have to have a *number* in the restaurant name -_- I'd say the highlights were the appetizers - fried chicken wings and bikini fried shrimp. The grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl was decent, but just a loooot of noods served in a clump and the pho was nothing to write home about. I ordered a fried egg (over-easy) to top my bowl and it came undercooked. Overall, not a horrible experience, but not a favorite either.

Betsy M.

Yelp
There online ordering menu is great. I would have never thought Pho was a menu to have delivered or as a pick-up before COVID. Their to-go worked well. The food was ready before their promised time. Soup was hot but since you are putting very cold noodles it is probably best to bring it back to boiling once you go home. We didn't do that and it was good but we agreed it could've been hotter. We got the summer roll and it was tasty too.
