Been coming here for a very long time (5+ years) and I'm never disappointed. Classic Vietnamese flavors, spices, and pho broth. Highly recommended and one of the best pho around! 🔥 Not to mention the atmosphere and the decorations - something you'll only see at this location, and ties in perfectly with the food.

Google
The vermicelli in bowl was cold, and the sauce off. A bit disappointed from my previous experience. No milk alternatives available for thai ice tea or smoothies. People are nice and the 10% higher price from competitor across main st is worth it for quick service and ample seating, even thought their outdoor seating is in the shade even for lunch.

Google
Delicious food. The service is good, but not the friendliest. They have really good Pho and vermicelli bowls! Will definitely go back again

Viv X

Google
Pho is not bad at all! I would go back just for that since I live nearby. But the appetizers & salad are not so much as I expected, I would just skip them the next time.

Google
Really liked the special pho bowl I had with friends on a Friday night. Really tasty pho and it was hot and super filling. One of better pho bowls I’ve had in MA. Nice chill atmosphere

Andi Babbs

Google
Excellent food and service. Pho is always fresh and the X-large is a bucket size. If you are looking for other options rice clay bowls or chicken teriyaki are great choices. Pho Bistro offers both dine in and take out with reasonable prices.

Google
I've been to this place three times. The first two visits were great, but the third was marred by horrible service. The waiters seemed distracted and frustrated. It's a shame because the food is consistently great.

Viter Nguyen

Google
The Pho was delicious with it's rich broth and tender beef. Their iced coffee compliment it well. Their service is decent, no issues. Recommend you skip the appetizers, it's OK but not great. Mostly stay for the Pho 👌

Yelp
Pho is a cure for any cold day. I was here with a friend on a Saturday evening and we were seated pretty quickly. They have a hefty menu with some veggie and non soup/pho options. We got chicken wings to start and I got a spicy beef pho. My friend got a seafood pho and we both got Iced coffee with condensed milk. The service was fast and the server was very attentive. We got our food quickly and it was piping hot. The coffee is a must at any Vietnamese place , but this was SO GOOD. The coffee was strong but sweet. Definitely worth a try! Especially to beat these cold evenings.

Yelp
We went here because our normal place was closed and regretted it. Ordered a #36. Half the meat in my pho was inedible. Pretty disappointing when I'm paying $20 for a bowl. Ordered egg rolls as an app and they weren't good. You could tell they were refried. Service was terrible. They weren't attentive and the place wasn't even busy. We had to get up and get our own utensils. I had to remind the server to bring over the bean sprouts and basil after serving our pho without any spoons. Needless to say I will not be coming back.

Yelp
" I'd like to offer some feedback about my recent dining experience. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue specialty. Expecting it to look like the photo on the menu. However, the soup I received was quite different. I also ordered the shrimp salad and was surprised to find it consisted only cabbage and shrimp. While fresh it lacked variety and additional ingredients that might enhance the flavor Such as herbs or different vegetables. I understand that price increase, but the $20 price for the soup, compared to the $10 it was a few years ago, felt high given the portion and what was served. Finally, I noticed the restaurant's cleanliness could be improved. The walls and floors appealed dirty, and dusty, which distracted from overall dining experience. Based on this visit, I'm hesitant to return, but I hope this feedback is helpful."

Yelp
The restaurant looks presentable, nice decor. Not too crowded and clean. However, the food is sad. Not the best Pho in town. I order 2 spring rolls, a grilled pork with rice, and a beef pho. The portion is not consistent, and the flavor is just not there. I gave three stars because the restaurant has nice staffs/atmosphere. But would not come back for the dishes. If you want delicious Pho/ good authentic Viet dishes in general, this would not be the place.

Yelp
This was my first time having Pho. I got #35 with the brisket and meatball. I wish my meat was crispier/have more color (although it's soup; just a thought). The broth was okay, but I didn't realize cilantro was included. I would've opted out. On the other hand, the Thai milk tea and chicken teriyaki were very good!

Yelp
I ordered delivery and I ordered spring rolls and smoothies. Instead of the five dollar smoothies, they gave me a can of Coke. Refused to refund. On top of that my spring rolls came burst open and impossible to eat. They literally stole my money and made no effort to make it OK. Will not be ordering from them ever again.

Yelp
We got pho bistro for pick up for our dinner wnd we got the pho dac biet, grilled pork over vermicelli noodles and fried spring rolls. The spring rolls were very crispy and the sauce it came with had a nice kick to it. The grilled pork was super tender and the vermicelli noodles had a good chew to it. The pho dac biet had very tender meet as well and the broth was very rich. This is a great place to visit for some classic pho!!

Yelp
Visited this place off the recommendation of a close friend who used to live in the area. The interior vibe of this place was unlike the typical Vietnamese restaurants back home in NYC. I loved the open glass doors that this place had that let in so much natural sunlight. Our friend told us that this place was hands down the best pho he's ever had by far. Wow this place lived up to that expectation. I don't know why this place isn't rated higher. It really has some aromatic and flavorful pho. I don't know if I could definitely say that it's the best pho ever for me but it's a really darn good pho. We also tried their Vietnamese crepe which our friend has seen on TikTok and it was surprisingly very pleasant and crispy. The sauce it came with was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this to visitors or locals. It's amazing pho.

Yelp
I've probably been here more than my fingers can count. The customer service is always great considering how often my family and I come. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious! I often get the vermicelli with the fried spring roll and meat - very tasty and filling! The spring rolls are also delicious - however the wrap was a bit dry (at the edges), but still good! The peanut sauce is my fav! Probably going to come in again this week haha!

Yelp
Outdated review, since we haven't eaten here in about a year. Food is pretty decent here, though definitely not the best Vietnamese I've had. I'm personally not a fan of their beef pho. I found it bland and wouldn't order it again. None of my friends who ordered pho seemed to be excited. On a return visit, I did find myself loving the grilled pork vermicelli bowl, which was huge and filled with juicy, perfectly grilled pork. My husband got some kind of lemongrass specialty soup that he also loved. Would definitely recommend that over the pho. We also enjoyed the house special wings, which were crispy and flavorful. So overall, the food is hit or miss. The atmosphere is surprisingly nice for a Vietnamese restaurant, and it's a place I wouldn't mind bringing a date if I were single. Prices are fine. The location is right in the center of Malden. We might be back in the future for bun, but for now, it's not our first choice for Vietnamese in town.

Yelp
There's almost always table available walk-in so it's a nice casual spot to get a quick lunch. We like the shrimp salad a lot - big portion and very flavorful. The pho is a nice dish to get on a cold winter day and they have a wide variety of meat combo for pho. We also recommend the fresh lime drink - a great refreshing drink to start the meal!

Kristina P.

Yelp
The customer service is TERRIBLE. I ordered a pho to go, requested HOISON sauce. They mixed it with Sriracha sauce WITHOUT telling me and I CANNOT eat Spicy Food!! I called to complain because I just spent $20 on food I now cannot eat and live 45 minutes away. I asked for a credit and to speak with the manage and the girl said there's nothing she can do and hung up in my face. When I called back she wouldn't answer the phone. DON'T EAT HERE IF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!
google avatar

Valerie P.

Yelp
This place used to be our go to! My husband and I would come for lunch twice a week at least! This place is now THE LITERAL WORST!!!! The prices went up quality has gone down and staff can only tell you price can't actually help you! Hopefully you don't end up here with An allergy cause they'll kill You!!! I would recommend any other PHO place or get replacement owner for this one!!

Yelp
Got the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crepe) and shrimp spring rolls - solid 11/10 for the food. No complaints. Banh Xeo: was listed as an appetizer but can easily be an entree. DELICIOUS. Would get again. Soooo good. Shrimp Spring Rolls: SOOOO goof and fresh! Food was pretty fast. Only drawback is that they're a bit pricey.... in my opinion at least.

Yelp
We went in for a quick brunch with our 1 year old around 11am. The staff was polite and friendly, we got our food within 15-20 minutes. The high chair was pretty gross, the spicy chili oil container was sticky, and the bathroom was so nasty, the hand soap was watery. The walls in the bathroom were sticky and dusty, the sink looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a while and the space was compact so my son was trying to touch everything. I also couldn't use my foot to open the door and there were no napkins in the bathroom. Overall experience 4.5/10 but the food was good.

Yelp
Beware of google reviews as they are NOT reliable! Service: fine Food: absolutely poor and nothing special in fact flavorless! trust me I have been o some fnatastic vietnamese pho places that cheaper but delicious and authetic. Sprouts were awful and not fresh ... ordered beef pho wih tendons and theer was o sign of tendons! Water was served warm straignt from a tap! I would not recommend!

Yelp
This place used to be stellar. Came in today, and there is an apparent fly infestation that they refuse to deal with. Had to swat flies away from my food, and counted at least 15 on the wall next to me. Could not finish my meal due to them LANDING ON MY FOOD! I asked about this and was told "there's nothing we can do, it's a new season". This is unsanitary, disgusting, and unacceptable.

Yelp
Came here after a day spent at Boda Borg. I got a regular bowl of pho and house special chicken wing appetizers. The pho is pretty average however, I got the large and it did not seem very large to me. There wasn't that much meat either. The chicken wings were amazing tho. They were so enriching in flavors. FOOD: 8/10 SERVICE: 7/10, hate when they don't remove the large bowls after we already got the check RECOMMENDATION: Get the house special wings
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
First time trying this place. I ordered their bun bo hue in a regular size which had bean sprouts, basil and lime wedges on the side. The broth had a strong lemongrass flavor and was slightly more viscous than others, which I loved. However, service was very slow and inconsistent. Prices were also expensive considering the portions we received did not match up. If it weren't for the service and cost it would have been an easy 5 stars. Probably will make my way back.
google avatar

Sabrina A.

Yelp
I wasn't satisfied with my meal, and the service was bad. I wouldn't come back again, I have been there before and everything was fine. I still had to pay regardless even if I wasn't happy with my dining in. Workers are nice, not much effort. I stillI don't recommend this to anyone it's not great place to go eat. There is barely anybody that goes here! It's so empty

Nour B.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! i absolutely love the atmosphere and the service. everything is beyond great here. and don't forget the food!! it's amazing. i come here at least once a week. i'm constantly craving it. absolutely love it here

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a hot day and when it's hot, what do you want? A huge bowl of soup. Yep, that's me. I just really like Pho Ga, the Vietnamese version of chicken noodle soup. Pho Bistro's was delicious with a rich broth, plenty of chicken (not sliced, this was pieces of pulled from the bone) and a good knot of noodles in the bottom. It comes with the usual fixings including plenty of bean sprouts and a big spring of basil. Sriracha and hoisin on the table. Very nice for lunch.

英

Yelp
Went there for dinner, food is good, but watch out for your bill!!! The first bill they gave me automatically included the tip as 20% of my order, which did not make sense as the customer should have the right to decide how much to tip. However, I accepted it and gave the waiter my credit card. Then they returned another bill for me to sign, which showed the total amount of the first bill that included the tip as 20% of my order, however, the item for tip was printed as Gratitude. Then at the bottom of the bill, there is another box for me to choose the percentage of the tip, which is 18%, 20%, or more of the first bill, which already included the tip!!! I checked the 20% box but realized that the tip was already included in the first bill. So I unchecked it and put the total amount as the amount of the first bill they showed me. However, the waiter told me the 18% of the first order was automatically added as tip! I told him it's already added, and it's 20%. He seemed not buying it. Anyway, watch out for what you are signing for. Of course, I would never go to this restaurant again.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the waiter was very nice and accommodating. Only thing was the booths were uncomfortable to sit in. The spring rolls are were a highlight.

Yelp
When I try a new Viet place- I always order the Pho with every cut of meat and Bun bo Hue. Its a little on the pricey side but I order delivery from Pho Bistro recently and discovered some pretty tasty Bun bo Hue. Its probably the best Bun bo Hue I've had in the state. If you're not familiar with this soup- its a spicy, fragrant journey to tasty-town. This bowl was plenty fragrant and plenty spicy. I also liked that the noodles were cooked perfectly for takeaway. I wasn't a big fan of the Pho- there was too much anise flavor for my liking and the broth was very dark. Maybe that's there style? I didn't care for it- especially at the higher price point ( ~$15). All in all- I would order the Bun bo Hue again and steer clear of the Pho.

Yelp
When I'm craving pho or anything soupy, the best place to go to is Pho Bistro. The service here is really great. What I love most about this place is that even though it is busy you never really have to wait to be seated. You also get your food super quickly. I normally order pho or bun bo hue (a favorite) here, but I opted for some wonton soup with egg noodles. The broth was perfect for me. Not too salty or bland. I love the garnishes that was already placed in for me. I didn't really need to add anything else even when they gave me the usual mints and bean sprouts on the side. Now I'm usually picky with my wontons because some places over cook their wonton causing the wrap to be super soggy but my wonton was perfectly intact. I might have to order this again because it was just way too good. And not to mention the broth was hot and I don't like it when my broth is warm because it just doesn't taste as good when it's like that. Parking: street parking, garage parking (few mins away), and public parking. Price: $$ For two people I usually spend less than $20.

Yelp
Came to this restaurant with my husband to try their famous Pho. I ordered a Vietnamese pancake.. it was very delicious. I like this pancake particularly because it was not greasy at all. My husband said he does not feel guilty after He ate it as his appetizer. Order their. I ordered their full broken rice plate. It came with all their goodness. Again, it was not disappointing. My husband tried the Pho. He loveee it.
google avatar

Yelp
I always loved the food it's authentic and although a little pricey - good. I will NEVER order from there or eat there again because their bathroom is DISGUSTING! The bathroom is dark, reeks of urine and the soap looks and smells very questionable. If that's the bathroom I'm scared to see the kitchen. Alas never more!

Sodany M.

Yelp
Our favorite spot for Pho, we are here at least twice a month. Consistent, fast, authentic. Tastes like how my family makes it. We order their grilled pork spring rolls and their Pho #34 and #35.
google avatar

Tanya J.

Yelp
I come here way too often ! Their combo vermicelli dish is so good! If you're in malden and you're craving good Vietnamese, I recommend this place. The staff is always nice and they offer recommendations if you're a bit unsure. There is free parking all around the square, but it can sometimes be hard to find parking if you're there during peak hours. The last time I came here, I ordered takeout. It took about 15 minutes and the food was perfect. The prices are great, but don't expect too much as nothing is over the top. Just simple viet food for a good price.

Yelp
Was invited here by a friend for some nice pho on a rainy day. It felt very rushed to order our food(waitress Tran kept coming to our table to ask every 2 minutes. We didn't get any utensils, was told they were being cleaned but never checked in again to update us or give them to us. Food was ok, definitely not the best. Just 2 sauces for topping the pho, and apparently they didn't have watercress. Waitress Tran's attitude was definitely not needed and needs to practice good hygiene in a restaurant. Our table literally seen her DIGGING in her nose, did NOT wash her hands and continued to place chopsticks into their slits. I immediately got nauseous. Lastly, we had asked for a bag for our leftovers, and was told there wasn't any, but a guy (not sure if the owner, but was delegating tasks) went a pulled a whole pack out. So makes me wonder if there really wasn't watercress for my pho...... oh and also this same guy called a guest that walked out pissed off psychotic.... Yeah will not be recommending to no one!!!

Yelp
This place hits the spot every time. This is my 4th visit. The pho extremely hot & to perfection. They also have a great variety of dishes which is amazing. I always try new things. However the springs rolls & wings are always my go to. I order them every single time with their peanut sauce & they are unbelievable. Great customer service as well.

Kannita S.

Yelp
Came here over the weekend with some girlfriends. The service USED TO BE GREAT. They must've changed owners, who knows. But this time, I genuinely felt discriminated by my own people! There's three of us, we ordered three bowls of pho and three plates of food to go. The tables around us received the complete condiment basket. Our table, however, received little plastic sauce cup with a smidge of siracha and hoisin sauce. So I requested for one of the baskets too, only to receive another plastic cup of siracha and hoisin. They were so accommodating to our neighbors but not to us and it was so awkward and uncomfortable. My question is, do I look like a thief to you? Does I look like I can't afford a bottle of siracha? Thanks for making our incredible craving for pho a horrible experience. :) The pho isn't even all that great. I'm good with this place. #stopcambodianhate

Yelp
For those of you foolish enough to attempt a dim sum at Ming's at 11am or later on the weekend, Pho Bistro will rescue you shivering hungry souls, all Statue of Liberty like. It's cold out there! Pho Bistro has hot tea and no need to stand near stacks of boxes and napkins with 400 other Chinese people talking at the top of their lungs, along with the rude number caller screaming even louder to be heard over the roar. We settled into our booths, cold hands wrapped around hot teacups, and breathed a huge sigh of relief. That's better. We sighed. The food though, was pretty subpar. How you screw up Vietnamese food, I guess it can be done. I got the oxtail pho. DO NOT GET THE OXTAIL PHO!!! The oxtail was not cooked well and far from fall off the bones tender. I had to tear off the meat with my teeth with so much struggle and end up with tons of tendons in between the teeth. I've eaten goats in Africa that were better cooked. The meat was super chewy and tasted old, like gizzards. Just pretty much all gizzards. Pretty horrible. I ordered a large and debated just throwing away half of the food along with the meat unfinished. If you knew me, you'd know that that's total insanity. I finish dog food. My cousins made the mistake of getting appetizers. Which I already knew was a bad idea before they even brought it out. Appetizers at Thai and Vietnamese restaurants are almost always a huge ripoff. This place was even more of a ripoff. Their fried spring roll was two pieces of spring roll, each no bigger than my skinny finger, and maybe $5? Avoid. Avoid going to dim sum unless it's 9am on a weekend at Ming's. Otherwise, DRIVE somewhere else.

Yelp
Very clean restaurant, really spacious. They have a pretty extensive menu, but you can't go wrong with their pho. QUAIL - This is a must try! I ordered this for an appetizer. Comes with 4 cut pieces of quail. It's basically a small bird, so it's very bony and can be a little difficult to eat. But whatever sauce it's marinated in, it's so good! And it's cook perfectly. The meat is tender but the outside is slightly crispy. This would be perfectly paired with rice. OXTAIL PHO: Tastes like pho from any other restaurant, but love that they have oxtail. It's hard to find many places that serve it in Boston. Oxtail just tastes like beef, but extra meaty flavor. Comes with 4 pretty large chunks. It's chewy and bony so it'll take some time to eat. Only downside is that this bowl does not come with any other meats, just the 4 pieces of ox tail. They also have oxtail bun bo hue. Mon-Fri from 4pm-6pm you can get Thai Iced Tea for $1. It's so good!
google avatar

Cathy O.

Yelp
One of the staffs didn't bother wearing any face cover during our visit. What more should I say? Ordered pho and they told us they didn't have any bean spouts when they served the food..really

Coco N.

Yelp
We order 3 drinks, 2 with NO ice and they say need to pay more. Ok fine we can pay more.... WE PAID MORE BUT WE ALSO GET LESS DRINK!!! this place is a joke!
google avatar

Holly C.

Yelp
I ordered here many times go Theirs noodles soup it's awesome But the beverage is terrible Like today, I ordered a Thai milk tea with not ice.Guess what I got? I got a half cup of thai tea and he was still hot. Last time I ordered a cup of Thai milk tea with Boba at dinner, guess what I got? Boba is as hard as a rocky head. I guess it is not a fresh Boba, it may be cooked two or three days ago. I am not a mean person deliberately leaving a bad review, but this experience is really disappointing. The price of a cup of Thai milk tea is $3.95, which is not cheap for drinks.

Adelina K.

Yelp
I really liked this spot. The reviews are bad, yet it's won best of Boston in 2016 & 2017. The one thing that people need to realize about authentic immigrant owned small businesses is that its just that. AUTHENTIC food. Majority of the reviews are complaining about the service. You wanna pay for amazing service, go to Strega or Top Of the Hub. You wanna pay for homemade authentic deliciousness bring your patience & come here. (P.s the service we had was fine & our server was attentive.) The inside of this place is really cute. I came on a rainy Sunday night & it was perfect weather. I tried the Pho, #30 to be exact & it was Bomb.

Yelp
Filet Mignon pho was amazing. Very robust and flavorful broth. Fresh and incredible meat quality too. We enjoyed the pork fresh rolls too.
google avatar

Meee M.

Yelp
This is the best pho I have been able to find in the northeast. In our travels, we keep trying new pho places but NOTHING ever compares to the flavor of their broth. And every friend I've ever brought with me says the same thing. I don't know what they do to make it so amazing. And Kenny was always so great to us! They let us have a small party here for our friends because they loved the food so much too. Now that we have moved away, we miss it!! But every time we are back in the Boston area, we always have to stop here. I'm so glad I tried this place on a whim 7 years ago. Best. pho. ever.
google avatar

Ayatt A.

Yelp
When I lived in Newton, my boyfriend and I always got the best Pho in Allston. Ever since moving to Medford, i've been struggling to find a place that I like. We recently tried Pho Bistro, and it was pretty average. The broth had a strange sweetness to it that I wasn't a fan of. We got eye round and flank steak in our pho. The eye round was great but the flank was terrible. It was dry and stringy and unappetizing. As of now, i'm still on the hunt for a good pho place near medford.
google avatar

Luis F.

Yelp
This place is very comfortable and nice. The food is authentic viet, for me that the most important.
google avatar

Zi N.

Yelp
This place has some good Viet food. We've been here many times since we moved to Malden and haven't yet be disappointed with anything. The pho was always tasty though we prefer the broth a little less salty. We did ask our server for less sodium broth and she was happy to accommodate. I don't think the Bun Bo Hue here is amazing but it's decent. Great for a cold rainy day. Banh xeo, aka Vietnamese crepe, was good but a little too thick. It's listed as appetizer but can easily be an entree. The shrimp salad is a must try - so delish!

Amanda O.

Yelp
Pho was delicious and would go back for it, everything else I wouldn't recommend. Smoothies were not good at all. Was so sugary I couldn't even drink it.

Tony C.

Yelp
I am a bit disappointed with my dinner tonight, this place used to have the best pho, the soup was so good. I ordered beef brisket pho, I got a pound of noodle and maybe an ounce of meat, the soup broth was not good. I also ordered a Vietnamese crepe, it was all bean sprouts and 3 pieces of thiny sliced shrimps. I will stick with Pho Eastern from now on. It was waste of my money, pre covid the food was great, now prices went up and quality went way down. A unhappy customer!
google avatar

Araya P.

Yelp
I enjoy the menu shaming me to not be a beginner since I usually only order Pho Tai and led me to branch out and order round eye steak, flank, and fatty flank. Man, that fatty flank really is delish! We get a side of grilled pork spring rolls to round out our meal and I am happy camper with a nice soup belly.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
This place only has business because of the scarcity of pho options in this Malden area. I honestly was shocked they tried to serve me two piece of tofu skin for $8. The clay pot was advertised as having Shrimp, Scallops, Squid and fish cake but it only had shrimp, fish cake and fake crab meat--- no scallop or squid and no fried onions on top as the photo indicated. If you've run out of ingredients you should be up front to your customer. The main ingredient was celery in the clay pot. My boyfriend said his pho was only 3 bites. Eating here is like highway robbery. Also service isn't great.

Yelp
One of the better Vietnamese places I've been so far in Boston and around. Been here couple times for quick lunch or dinner, and service has always been fast! This place tends to be crowded on Friday dinner, but I never had to wait for too long (5 - 10 mins on average) - bonus point for that! I think a good point to remember is that you don't expect top-notch service when you come to restaurants like these - therefore I appreciate their no fuss attitude. Their phó has a nice beefy broth without feeling overpowering. My typical to go is the Phó with Eye Round Steak, as I prefer leaner beef. If you prefer spicier broth, opt for one of their specials, Hué-style noodle soup with Oxtail. Portions are quite standard compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, and moderately priced, so can't really complain on that. I consider this a great neighboorhood restaurant and it has been on top of my list when the fridge at my home is empty. Will definitely come back for more Phó as the weather gets colder!
