Pho Ca Dao - Comfort in a Bowl, Bright and Early Pho Ca Dao never disappoints! The pho here is absolutely delicious—rich, savory broth with just the right balance of spice and freshness. The beef was tender and thinly sliced, and the herbs and toppings came crisp and vibrant, just begging to be stirred in. One of the best parts? They open early! It’s the perfect spot to grab a warm, comforting bowl of pho to start your day right. Service is quick and friendly, and the space feels laid-back and welcoming. Whether you're an early bird or just in need of a reliable, tasty bowl of pho, Pho Ca Dao hits the spot every time.

Google
I wish I could give it 6 stars because their food was surprisingly delicious. We ordered their popular items (photos attached). Quick service and friendly staff. Lots of parking spots.

Jason Franco

Google
Good service. Had the broken rice with pork chop and egg meatloaf and shredded pork will egg roll appetizers

Google
Food was fine. They give lots of meat which was nice. Service was fast and friendly. However, I do feel like some of the raw meat was frozen so when it was put in the hot broth, it didn’t fully cook and was kind of hard despite being raw…

Google
Ambience is good, dined in for the robot servers experience, did not get any, I was served by human servers, did saw some service by the service robot to some customers. Ordered Veg Pho with firm tofu and grilled tofu spring rolls. The pho had less soup, loaded with boiled carrots and noodles. I eat pho for the soup so was disappointed there. The spring rolls were stuffed with noodles, sauce was okay.

xiao ming

Google
they dont allow the service dog and they dont provide opening the heater when you sit on the patio.

Loc Nguyen

Google
Food was "enjoyable" but not a "wow". If you are a regular visitor of the Westminster area for pho then you may be a little let down. However it was still good enough to invite the in-laws here. The fried tofu appetizer was over fried. Chicken wings with fish sauce were good. The robots delivering your food were annoying and inefficient. Toilets were clean.

Google
Being a first time visitor this is a great place to eat. The food made fresh. Nothing cold here unless you order a drink. The soups are incredible, flavorful and delicious. They have Large and Regular. Large if you have a appetite. Regular will be pretty filling as well. Clean bathrooms. Family friendly. Staff and management team seems to be very nice. Would have liked to have seen the manager before I left just to compliment him about the food. The veggie rolls are amazing. Served hot. Great sauce. Would love to go back and try out something else.

Yelp
Overall experience has always been amazing!been coming here for a couple years. Parking: plenty of parking Ambiance: its older location could use some sprucing up. Service: always amazing! don't forget to say hi to WALL·E Food: I'm always impressed with their pho and flavor of soup! The egg rolls are a MUST try! Only "negative", Salt & Pepper Chicken wings are not so good.
google avatar

Yelp
It's okay. But it's nothing like the real pho ca day in city heights Small chicken portion. It was decent. Just not what I am used to

Yelp
My recent visit to Pho Ca Dao left me with mixed feelings. While I usually opt for their soup dishes, I decided to try their grilled options this time. The grilled meat itself was delicious, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. However, I found the rest of the dish to be underwhelming.   While the grilled options may be worth a try, especially for meat lovers, I can't say the same for the rest of the dish. I will definitely need to try their soup noodle dishes before making a final verdict on this location.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I deviated from our usual go-to restaurant (Pho Lucky) and stopped by here to try their pho. As we stepped inside the restaurant, we noticed a very strong pho aroma in the air. My initial thought was "ah man, I'm gonna smell like pho!" I had just washed my hair, and sure enough, my hair and clothing smelled like pho. I thought it was cool that a robot brought out the hot pho bowls to our table, with the assistance of a waiter who then placed the bowls on our table. We ordered the special pho that came with all the different meats. The broth was pretty good. Service was ok, the robots were nicer than the waiters. They have a full bar serving all kinds of beer, wine, and hard liquor.

Yelp
I saw your robot servers spill somebody's food. Please get human servers to do the job.

Yelp
There was a bit of a wait when we showed up but their turnover was impressive. You walk up and write in your name/how many are in your party on their notebook. The restaurant was very busy but despite that, the service was very quick! They were great. The whole meal tasted super fresh and is great for rainy weather. Definitely recommend this place and hope to go back soon!

Yelp
We visited around 7pm on Friday. There were plenty of parking spots in the back and plenty of tables. The waiter and waitress were very nice. They've got the robots that carry food over to the tables. We got: N1 house special pho that's got everything. It's pretty big and looks decent. N18 that's steak pho. For some reason the soup is yellow. It's so yellow even the noodles turned yellow. The soup is on the sweeter side. VN1 that's spicy lemongrass beef soup. It looked like regular pho with added spicy oil on top. But the lemongrass flavor is there. It's not really spicy and it doesn't come with the proper vegetables that normally come with this soup. Oh and no sate sauce either. It's ok but definitely not like the real bun bo hue. We also have a pick your own protein vermicelli bowl (grilled pork/egg roll vermicelli salad bowl). It's pretty decent in size. The egg roll was a little burnt but I am not picky. We Also got a rice dish that's got lemongrass beef and garlic rice. Oh this dish was not good, the rice was dry and had minimum garlic flavor. The onion was raw so it's kinda spicy (not a fan of this). I would say this is the worst dish tonight. Overall this place is good if you are not looking for authentic Vietnamese food.

Yelp
Always good food , friendly staff and fast service , very convenient area as well, it's along Miramesa Blvd. i really like the spare ribs and spring rolls

Yelp
We decided to stop by this place on a whim as we were originally going to another pho place but saw too long of a waitlist to stay so we tried this place instead. Walking in it was a pretty slow day. Still plenty of seating. They have outdoor seating too but I'm not sure if it's open or only open at night. We ordered some pork and shrimp spring rolls, and two phos. Everything was delicious! They give a lot of meat to make it worth it as well. We also got some Vietnamese coffee which was in the drip form and delicious. Overall I'm super glad I found this place and will be back!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Since the spot close across the street and lucky pho off black mountain has gone down in quality this has been my go to spot for pho and bun bo hue! The spring rolls are hit or miss on freshness but they never taste like they haven't been made the same day. Maybe just like early morning and eating later in the evening old! No complaints on service either. Food is always timely and delicious.

Yelp
We normally go to another pho place in town but decided to check this place out. We came on a Thursday, so not busy at all. Customer service was pretty good but strange with the little robot servers that bring the food to you table. The human server just grabs it off the robot and places it on your table. Firecracker shrimp is highly recommended. The shrimp are super crispy and tasty. Lightly covered in some kind of thin batter. Not very spicy but delicious for sure. I expected grilled shrimp with some kind of sauce. Nice surprise when they came out and looked like the salt and pepper shrimp we get at other places. For pho we both got the N3 that has a bunch of different meats. The tendon is always my favorite part. Overall pretty good and they were not stingy with the meat. The wife got the cucumber cooler. That was delicious too. Mint and cucumber. Kind of tasted like a mojito but without alcohol. Over all, Pho Ca Dao is a solid place a this place to eat.

Yelp
Great service and good food. Got the food fairly quickly and food was brought by the robot.

Yelp
Food quality and freshness were truly questionable. I came in and my table ordered Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), Com Tam Thit Nuong (Broken rice plate with grilled pork), and Bun Ga Nuong (Vermicelli with grilled chicken). The restaurant was really empty and I should've taken that as a sign. The bun bo hue was lacking in flavor and they did not have shrimp paste when we asked for some (they told us this is more of a caucasian neighborhood thus they don't have shrimp paste on hand). Side note there is a pho restaurant a few blocks down that served shrimp paste w/o me having to ask. Bun ga nuong, I thought was alright until I found a hair in my bowl. Yuck! The Com tam thit nuong was definitely the most questionable. Thit nuong should not be patty like in my opinion (look at the square pork pics) it should be slices of meats or pork chop. In my personal opinion when places serve meat patties in place of pork chop... I feel like it's left over meat. It just did not look fresh.

Yelp
The pho here is excellent! The broth is delicious- packed with flavor. Some of my favorite in the area for sure. My most recent visit I kept it simple with the rare steak pho and it was more tender than the filet mignon pho I've had at other restaurants. Absolutely delicious. I didn't love the wings. They were small which is probably a plus if they aren't packed with growth hormone, but the sauce just didn't have a whole lot going on. I've tried a few bites of the lemongrass beef banh mi. I didn't love it as much as my pho, but it made me want to try the beef & rice dish they have with the same beef. I bet it's awesome.
google avatar

Salina X.

Yelp
I ordered bo ne and bbq pork banh mi. The bo ne was too oily but fulfilled my craving for the most part since there is no bo ne where I live. The bbq pork banh mi was pretty good. I wasn't expecting the meat to be the way it was. I was expecting sliced bbq meats. It was very flavorful and not dry though.

Yelp
There's a lot of service. The parking is a bit confusing, but drive around to the back because the side parking is for the bank. The pho is fine. It wasn't that great, but it wasn't bad. There's better in San Diego.
google avatar

Michaela F.

Yelp
Every time I visit, the food comes out so quick. I tried the brisket pho, and it was great. It comes with a lot of noodles, and the broth flavor is delicious. I also got a Thai tea boba which was a little too sweet for me, and the boba pearls had a weird texture but overall still good. They have plenty of tables, so it's usually not a long wait. The staff is very attentive and quick. I've been here a few times already and plan on coming back.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
The pho here use to be consistently tasty. Now the broth is bland and luke warm... 5/10. The eggrolls and noodle bowls remain decent. The service was sub-par and here's why: the server couldn't understand a simple order of plain noodles and grilled shrimp. He had three attempts to serve a plate of rice, veggies and chicken - lol comical! My niece finally got her correct order, but after everyone finished their meal. Also, my mom ordered a plate of salmon with brown rice; however she received a bowl of noodles with chicken. What a mess; I obviously will not return here.
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
We usually loooooove the ca dao in our area, but this one just wasn't the same. This was our first time here and the quality wasn't the best. We waited almost 30 minutes for 4 bowls of pho which is veryyyyy off for a pho restaurant. Everyone knows that pho comes out super quick. I think they may have forgotten to put in our order bc once our server saw us waiting there, she said it'd be right out, and it came out instantly. The broth was very different from their other locations. It made my throat kind of itchy. The rare steak was a different cut and was almost too thick. The egg rolls were great. They are understaffed and had two ladies running the whole floor with one man bussing. No sriracha.
google avatar

Jessica Q.

Yelp
I ordered takeout but when my boyfriend went to get it, they hadn't received the order. The pho was great. Vermicelli was okay, I feel it could've used more of the veggies. It felt like mostly noodles and meat and only a sprinkle of lettuce. I also got the shrimp fresh rolls, but I wish I had known they were served with fish sauce (I think the same sauce as for vermicelli?) instead of peanut sauce. I think in the future, I would only get pho from here

Yelp
My little cousins and I wanted to grab pho one day. I was going to take them another pho restaurant, but the older one convinced me to go to their usual restaurant which was the highly rated/reviewed one. And I'm glad I tried it! It's located in between Union Bank and Taco Bell on Mira Mesa Blvd in Mira Mesa. There's a huge parking lot with ample stalls for customers. The entrance into the parking lot is very easy to miss if driving too quickly as it's quite narrow. I was curious what the difference of N1 and N3, and apparently there wasn't any difference according to our server LOL. N1 only had one size while N3 had two sizes. Interesting. I chose the regular size of N3 as XL sounded too much for me. And wow, even for a regular size, the restaurant gives generous amounts of food! Especially for the price. My pho was FILLED with different cuts of meats and practically overflowing (pic does NOT do any justice) as I was trying to mix everything. Sooo much deliciousness. The only downside was that the broth was kind of lukewarm. The first sip of broth gave me the impression that it was oily but as I mixed everything together (sauces, meats, moved it around), it wasn't as oily as I originally thought. The broth was kind of "clean" with a nice amount of umami. I enjoyed it and can see why my relatives love coming back specifically to this restaurant for their pho fix. Definitely didn't have much MSG as other reviews mentioned as I barely drank my water (my indication of too much MSG in my food LOL). The fried egg rolls were really good! 6 long rolls that all really crispy and filled with a lot of fillings. Even after sitting on the plate for 10-15 mins, the egg roll did not lose its crispiness. The overall flavor was delicious and the fish sauce definitely enhanced it well. YUM. I also got a Vietnamese coffee, and I love places where they give me the coffee filter as I watch my coffee drip into the condensed milk and ice. It was my cousin's first time with a Vietnamese coffee, and she loved it! I told her beforehand how strong the coffee was which intrigued her, I guess. But glad I got another person on the Vietnamese coffee bandwagon hehe. Great pho Vietnamese restaurant to go to! The amount of the food and prices were great even in this inflating economy. I didn't try anything else besides the pho and fried egg rolls but definitely will be back for more of those!

Yelp
This restaurant was our go to Pho restaurant in Mira Mesa until today. We were not impressed with the service they provided for the past few visits. A few months ago, we bought their gift card (which should give us 10% discount when used) but had not been able to use it since. Every time, they claimed the card reader didn't work. So we ended up paying cash without getting a discount. The servers were not able to do anything and the owner was never at the restaurant to discuss the issue. Even though they said they would inform the owner and had him call us back regarding the card problem, the owner never called! Today, we ordered pick up and paid cash. They simply said they had no change! Is this a new strategy to earn tips from take out orders? They may have earned a few cents today but they lost customer forever. Since they took no responsibility to fix the gift card issue, we would need to call a credit card company for refund!! There are so many Pho restaurants in the area and their foods are not that different. What makes a difference is the service. So disappointing...

Yelp
I'm torn with this review because this is my go-to for Pho on those cold days. I just can't get over the service, which is so horrible. I eat here about once a month and my orders are to be delivered. The few times I did eat-in-house wasn't the best experience, at least the last 5 times I've been there. The food is delicious though. I really enjoy their Pho, spring rolls, and chicken wings. If the service was better definitely would give a higher rating but it's that bad.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Ordered for pickup and the food was able to come out really fast! We came in and went to the register to check on our order but they have a pickup area along the back. The space inside is pretty big. We got the grilled chicken vermicelli salad and the broken rice plate with pork chop. The grilled chicken was delicious!! Such a good char flavor. Plentiful meat portion as well. All the other components were pretty standard. My partner thought the pork chop was just ok. The chicken had more flavor. He also wasn't a fan of the shredded meat. The egg meat loaf was good though.
google avatar

Joann T.

Yelp
They have cute little robots here serving your meals now. Good pho and overall pretty clean. Fast services as well. Only downside is that they sometime mess up grubhub orders. Prices have definitely inflated at this location recently.
google avatar

Flora L.

Yelp
My go to pho spot in Mira Mesa. The seating is always very fast here and little to no wait. Sometimes I have to wait a while for a server to take my order and sometimes they forget to table touch. They have a huge variety of Vietnamese dishes. I typically go for their pho but this time tried something different and really enjoyed it! Their bun rieu is not the best but it helps satisfy the craving! Their coconut shrimp fried rice was great! The shrimp was delicious and cooked to perfection. It can get a little bit noisy in the restaurant but its a great spot for a quick meal!
google avatar

joan a.

Yelp
if you're thinking about ordering from here through grub hub, don't. 4 times and I still didn't learn my lesson. They never got my order right. And especially if you try to order ahead for it to be home by the time you home, just for it to be missing some main things your ordered. NOPE. I remember one time I even went In after placing my order, I just got told to sit down and never once they told me my order was ready and it was just sitting on the side for pick up. Go to the other PHO CA DAO locations, just not this one.
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
Ordered the Dac Biet. After the first few sips of broth, I felt the MSG headache coming on. a little MSG is fine but not to the point where my tongue feels coated. I had a headache all day after this :( also found 2 tiny hairs in the bowl when I was almost done with it. Lost my appetite after that. Also ordered the goi cuon (fresh spring rolls). They gave us an old order that's been sitting around all day because the banh trang (rice paper) was hard. So disappointing.
google avatar

Lin C.

Yelp
I ordered takeout and the pick up service is always so fast, my only thing is that I have to use a third party to order like Uber eats or grubhub. But the nicest part of using Uber eats in particular is that there were NO additional fees. Emphasis on that!! As for takeout, obviously it's not the same as dining in. However, the pho broth is alwayyyyys on point, plus they try to separate the raw from the cooked which is really nice and sanitary. I haven't dined in, but definitely want to try. Looks really nice inside and there's plenty of parking around.

Yelp
We have been coming to PCD since we moved to Mira Mesa in 2018, so when I say it's our favorite local restaurant, that is the context. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well lit and not too loud. The food comes out amazingly fast for how good it is. Fabulous for kids. This is both of my kids' favorite restaurant and has been for years. We've done multiple birthday dinners here, post-softball or soccer celebrations, etc. We bring all of our out of town guests here too, since it represents the best of Mira Mesa. It isn't just about the food and the service, you see. PCD has been here for 20 years. They are a part of the community. They sponsor local elementary schools in fundraisers. They show up every year for the Tet Festival and other community events. When we eat their great food, we're participating in what is best in our community. We love you guys.

Yelp
This place feels like home :) I love coming here and ordering a nice warm bowl of pho. I always just go for the make your own and get the steak, brisket, and meatballs as I'm not a huge fan of tendon or tripe. YUM :) seems like the service is fast and the owner is nice as well. Very simple and casual - will be back. They have cute robots as well as an added bonus
google avatar

Nichole Y.

Yelp
Out of all the pho places in SD, this is one of the better ones. The pho broth tastes clean and the noodles are done just right. I always order the pho with fatty brisket, tripe, tendon, and rare beef, and they always give copious amounts of meat. They have robots that bring the food to your table, but we still had to wait a while for the server to come which was a little inefficient.
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been to Pho Ca Dao Grill since I lived in the area over 10 years a go. I was passing by and decided to check in. The place still looked the same. It still had that character and ambiance that let you know you are at Pho Ca Dao. I ordered the Grilled Pork over broken rice to go. It smelled so good. I couldn't wait to get back to work to dig in. As I opened the container, the first thing you see is the grilled pork. It had nice grill marks and was ever so tender. It was delicious to say the least. I don't know what spices and seasonings they use, but it is so good. I need their recipe! The rice was cooked to perfection and the fresh salad was a nice compliment to the pork. They also give you a side of soup, which is a nice touch. As usual, Pho Ca Dao never disappoints and always satisfies my Vietnamese food craving. On a side note, I really appreciate that they provide full size utensils for to go orders, and not those little kid sized utensils that a lot of other restaurants give.

Yelp
Arrived Sunday evening not as busy for weekend. Our table was wet as if someone spill water on top, needed good wipe down. I ordered the N1 Pho Special. As for the pho really note special about it. The broth weak in favor, small amount of beef, only few tripe pieces, side condiments withered not fresh, and serving was small for a large bowl. Not impressed with food quantity and overall service. Sorry, spend you hard earn money somewhere else.,. I would not recommend this Pho restaurant. Mira Mesa has way better Pho places near Black Mountain Drive.
google avatar

James F.

Yelp
Food was great, service was fast and friendly. Plus, they have a cute robot wheeling around. I got the pork and my daughter got a kids rice bowl. We also got boba....my daughter and I both agree, 5 stars :)

Yelp
My sister & I walked in to Pho Ca Dao at 8:05PM maybe. They close at 9pm. We wrote our name down on the list to wait for a table & sat there for maybe 10 minutes. We hear one of the workers talking to a group that came in after us & I didn't hear exactly what was said but they we weren't acknowledging my sister & I at all. The worker walked by us & I asked him "are you guys not taking anymore dine in orders?" & he just said "yeah no" and scratched the back of his neck looking scared as hell. So I was like "that's okay". He looked like a kid so I was like whatever. But I just don't get why nothing was said to us right when we walked in? It would've made more sense. We're currently sitting in front of Pho Cow Cali now, the best pho place in Mira Mesa!!!!!

Yelp
Wow The soup its 99% like in Vietnam Huge portion I didn't finish it was to big for me Abd the spring rolls are amazing

Yelp
Of the cuisines, Vietnamese food is not my go-to but when we are in the mood for a sit-down dinner with pho, we always come to Pho Ca Dao! Food: - Lemongrass beef bahn mi 5/5: High quality French bread with a crusty exterior and a soft fluffy interior. The beef is well-seasoned with a flavorful char. I got extra pickled veggies for free (this is VERY important to me. One of my favorite things about eating bahn mi is the nice contrast between perfectly pickled veggies and the meat). Price is actually very good for the quality, although when I am in a lazy mood and just want to grab takeout bahn mi, I typically go to one of the cheaper placed in Mira Mesa. -PCD special Pho 4/5: My partner always gets this and thinks that it is good pho with quality meat. I drink the soup, and I think it is very flavorful. Dine-in: There is outdoor dining and indoor seating. We are always by ourselves in the outdoor dining area, so the wait staff doesn't typically check on us. But that is our preference. If you need attentive servers, probably better to sit inside Parking: Tons of free parking in the lot
google avatar

Yelp
Quick service, including the robot who brings your order to your table. Vietnamese coffee & brisket pho was fantastic, very flavorful, fast & hit the spot. Located in a shopping center, plenty parking. Highly recommended.

Yelp
People often go to Pho Cali just up the road, but that place is always packed - this spot had plenty of availability, for about the same price and a pretty comparable quality too! We came with a group of six, and had no trouble getting seated midafternoon on a Saturday. We got a pretty good mix of items including pho, egg rolls, banh mi, and broken rice - all of which were pretty solid and what we've come to expect of most good viet restaurants. Nothing stood out as completely innovative, but this is a viet restaurant not an experimental food kitchen, and they delivered on the consistency we were looking for! One of the standout items though was the viet coffee; which was really strong, both in flavor and caffeine. Would definitely try! They also had a cute robot, in addition to other human servers, which my group thought added a little bit of personality to the place. Overall would recommend if you're looking to eat quickly with a large group!

Yelp
Today i had the worst experience at Pho Ca Dao in Santee. The food was cold, we didn't get our drinks and everything was totally messed up. Not only that but we sat at our table close to 30 minutes before we could flag down someone to help us. Needless to say , I will never go there again!!!!

Alexei S.

Yelp
Great pho like the original in Vietnam Great service Big portions The age roll is amazing
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
Respectfully please take bun bo hue off your menu. This is probably, if not the worst bun bo hue I've ever ingested. In the nicest way I can say it, it's disrespectful to the dish itself. The taste is completely off, it tastes like instant bun bo hue or some weird instant seasoning. The vegetable given is meant for pho but red cabbage is thrown in to "show difference". I'm sure there's good food at this restaurant establishment, but I pray that no one has to experience the bun bo hue.

Yelp
Today, we had the best server, Victoria. She was very nice and very attentive. The food was good (as always)! The last time we came here, the owner/manager went out of his way to provide my dad extra help by selecting the best food for his diet. He even gave a free extra serving of rice! We thought that the owner or manger went out of his way to provide the best service possible. The ambience is always very nice and peaceful! I had to make a review because of the excellent service provided by Victoria and the owner! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Quick and efficient customer service. Fried egg rolls- so good Large combo pho- amazing! The broth was rich, flavorful and no hit the spot after a long cold night. What more can you ask for? Located in a large shopping center with free parking.

Yelp
Came here for some pho on Memorial's Day. There was no wait and we got seated right away. We ordered 6 bowls (pho and bun bo hue), but sadly there was no flavor and service was quite lacking. We asked for pickled onions from our server (Nghi I believe) but it never came, and she never mentioned it when she handed our receipt. She didn't charge us, but it would've been nice to have a heads up that they weren't coming or slow in the back or acknowledge that she forgot. The bowls were so huge and we were excited at first. The soups were so bland, and there was no sriracha (not their fault). We added so much chili oil but still no help to the flavor. I felt an MSG reaction, but wasn't sure because it was so lacking in taste. No chilies except for jalapeños. Also $7 for some fresh coconut juice but in reality it was just mostly just ice :/ It was okay in price but wouldn't recommend it until they make some changes.

Yelp
Updating my review again back down to 2-stars. The food is still okay, but their hours are misleading. They actually close at 8:30pm, not 9:00pm. I got here at 8:31pm tonight and they refused to seat me. They wouldn't even let me order to-go. Which means they close at 8:30pm. I don't know why I waste my time coming here. I recommend you go to Pho Cow Cali. It's only a couple miles down the street, their food is always good. And they will gladly seat you up til' 9pm.

Yelp
My go to spot in town for good solid pho. Wait times are minimal and food is consistently good. The restaurant is quaint and casual.

Yelp
I love Pho Ca Dao and Grill. Don't get me wrong, but this location didn't live up to the one in Rancho Bernardo. We were immediately seated. The service was alright. I get that it was toward the end of the night, but it wasn't near closing time. We got the XL Rare Steak Pho. I love the broth usually but this time it was a lot murkier than it usually gets from the rare steak. The taste was great, but the clean broth really is the gold star top-tier trait for me at their other locations. Even though we got an XL, the noodle portion was the size of a regular if not smaller. My SO and I usually share the regular and get our own meals, but we wanted leftovers for my lunch this time, and didn't even have the amount we would have had at a different location. I got the grilled lemongrass pork chop broken rice plate as I usually do. It wasn't as flavorful as it usually is and the middle was raw so I had to inform our server. She was very kind and brought out another, but at that point, we were ready to leave. I guess this became my lunch. He tried the lemongrass ribeye broken rice plate, and he really enjoyed it. I don't think it was enough for him, so we might have to get something else next time as he resorted to just rice and broth to fill him up. I think this location was a miss. It was closer than the one in Rancho Bernardo, but I think we will make that drive from now on. Again, I love Pho Ca Dao and Grill!
