"Said to be the birthplace of phở cuốn in 2000, this spot remains a favourite. Soft rice noodle rolls filled with beef, vegetables and herbs pair perfectly with a sweet-sour dip. The crispy noodle crust of the deep-fried phở with beef gravy creates an irresistible contrast." - Michelin Inspector

I visited this restaurant after a recommendation from my Vietnamese friend — and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly from the moment I arrived, guiding me to parking and welcoming me warmly. I was surprised to find the restaurant has three buildings, and most rooms were full, which was a good sign. I was seated on the quiet third floor, which was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Ordering was easy, and the staff were professional, serving drinks before the food. I tried Phở cuốn and Phở rán trứng giòn, and both arrived quickly with dipping sauces. The Phở rán trứng giòn became my favorite — crispy noodles, tender meat, served warm, and perfectly flavorful. If you’re looking for delicious Vietnamese food with great service and a pleasant atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit.

what is that?!! So it is some stir fried beef, and vege, on some hot fried rice noodle pocket. Rice Noodle hot pocket! 60k VND (2025) for a one person meal. There is another specialty which is the spring roll wrap but my stomach couldn’t eat both so I had to pick one. Comes with some fish sauce, and dipping the hot pocket into the sauce is amazing! The beef and vege and the broth is okay, not too much impression. What amazed me is my first time hot pocket experience. It is so fun to discover new type of food and that I actually love. Would try again if I could. Btw, lots of people here, so I reckon it is that good. (Another visit) I come again for dinner and this time ordering an egg fried noodle with beef o time, it is similar like the first one only replace pocket into fried noodle. Still good experience. 60k VND.

We were recommended by our hotel staff to try this place and I would conclude in one word - "excellent". We ordered as per the attached picture and its really good. The taste is authentic. Portion is sizeable for 3 pax and the environment is clean and cosy. I would highly recommend this place for good food. Date visit: 15 September 2025 Time: 11:00 AM

This is a good place to eat if you want the quieter side of hanoi. Food was awesome! Definitely try the pho pillows, fresh spring rolls and the stir fried beef

This place was delicious! We ordered the first two items on the menu. Both were amazing. Highly recommend this spot! All locals in the restaurant.

First time to try the fried pho. It tastes great ! Meat and veggies are on top and all the ingredients are quite fresh.

Real local spot with so many locals lined up waiting for their food. I had to wait for 20 minutes to get my table, but the food here was pretty good. I had 3 Hanoi dishes and they were all good. It’s not something I would travel for, but it was still all good local food and good value as well.

If you're a tourist looking for good Vietnamese food, I recommend avoiding this plain little family café. Reception and service was cold from the get-go by the sister who gave three of us a single dirty menu to look at. We were served warm cans of flat beer. Whilst the food was edible, it was unremarkable and extremely overpriced. The brother who bustled in with his calculator and added up our very simple bill of two beers and two plates of food took his time to measure us up and duly rip us off. He was totally disrespectful in that he ignored us while leaning over the bill with his calculator. Places like this are the reason why I won't be returning to Hanoi and I can only hope that you as a discerning tourist won't either. Good food in Hanoi is a spectator sport for tourists. The closest you'll get to it , is watching the locals eat it in front of you. There are plenty of good destinations in SE Asia providing excellent food, accommodation and service at half of the price and twice the quality of Hanoi.
