"Said to be the birthplace of phở cuốn in 2000, this spot remains a favourite. Soft rice noodle rolls filled with beef, vegetables and herbs pair perfectly with a sweet-sour dip. The crispy noodle crust of the deep-fried phở with beef gravy creates an irresistible contrast." - Michelin Inspector

We were recommended by our hotel staff to try this place and I would conclude in one word - "excellent". We ordered as per the attached picture and its really good. The taste is authentic. Portion is sizeable for 3 pax and the environment is clean and cosy. I would highly recommend this place for good food. Date visit: 15 September 2025 Time: 11:00 AM

This is a good place to eat if you want the quieter side of hanoi. Food was awesome! Definitely try the pho pillows, fresh spring rolls and the stif fried beef

Really interesting place, they serve "deconstructed" pho. We asked for both types, the first one is called rolled pho, you simply dip it in a fish sauce. The second one is my favorite, it's a stir fried version, where the beef is mixed with the greens and then the noodle base is coated in some kind of dough that looks like a pillow and fried. It is definitely a very interesting place to try a different version of pho.

Ordered the first two things on the menu and the fried taro balls. They were SO good! They have lots of tables so turnover is fast. Get their iced tea!

Where the locals eat. Queue is very quick if you have to. We arrived and were number 20 when number 3 had just been taken to their seat. Didn’t take any longer than 10 mins to be seated. Loads of the shops along the road are actually used for the restaurant at night. We had our food in a nail salon! Good stuff. The fried noodles are amazing. Pork is amazing. Note: “Stir fried vegetables” has pork. Don’t be tempted by the vegetarian pillows, they are deep fried. Also if you’re a westerner, look up the proper way to say “Pho”. It is not pronounced “foe” from what I understand.

Real local spot with so many locals lined up waiting for their food. I had to wait for 20 minutes to get my table, but the food here was pretty good. I had 3 Hanoi dishes and they were all good. It’s not something I would travel for, but it was still all good local food and good value as well.

A local restaurant that specialises in Pho Cuon and Pho Chuen Phong. I was quite full by the time I got here, so only tried their Pho Cuon. The noodles were freshly delivered and made and the beef was cooked well - balanced flavours with the rice noodle. Would love to try the fried pho pillows in the future. The owner and chef were accommodating as we arrived a little earlier than their start time. I recommend this restaurant and will be back in the future 👍😋

I'm staying here around the corner, and I noticed that this place has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating after 550 people gave a review. That means something. So I decided to come and give it a try. This is the best food I have tasted so far in this country! They have a very foreigner-friendly menu, with English explanations and a special menu with pictures. Even though there was one person that spoke English somewhat, it doesn't matter because pointing at things does the trick. And otherwise you'll always have Google translate 😁 I ordered a stirfried pho with beef, egg and vegetables. The taste was amazing. I had something to drink and eat and paid 65.000 VND. For the best dish that I ate in Hanoi I find that a very reasonable price, to say the least. Definitely I will be back for more.
