17 Hidden Gem Restaurants in Los Angeles

"Hidden on the other end of a Circle K convenience store parking lot and surrounded by a small makeshift garden, the third outlet of this Vietnamese restaurant opened in Alhambra serving oxtail pho and shrimp rolls, but adds some more creative fare from owner Hanli Su’s mother, Lani Nguyen. Nguyen adds everything from crispy mushroom tempura to a periwinkle blue sticky rice platter studded with boiled egg, Chinese sausage slivers, and mushrooms." - Eater Staff

Foods and service were great. We love the server with glasses. She is very attentive and always check on us if we need anything else. They have lunch special every day until 3pm. You can add drinks for $3 with their lunch special. Recommended for mint lemonade and hibiscus lemonade. Also, they have members' rewards. Just make sure you put your phone # every time before you pay on the front. You can earn some points for future visits if you come regularly.

I was on my way home, and decided to google pho before I got too close. I ordered the oxtail pho, crab egg rolls, and the lions dance (drink). Follow me on here, and you know I love a clean and flavorful pho! This one is clean, and packs some good flavor. They only give one oxtail though, so that was kind of disappointing for $18. The noodles taste thicker, or like overcooked? The crab egg rolls, really didn’t taste like much of crab but they were really good. The lettuce was nice and fresh, but wet. All in all, I’d come back. I ordered a hibiscus surprise to go. It’s good as well. Wish they hadn’t ran out of the guava lava.

Google
Interesting experience. The menu is simple and straightforward. We ordered pho, sticky rice plate, spring rolls, and flan for dessert. Everything tasted good quality. The sticky rice place is a modernized version of the traditional sticky rice dish among street vendors in Vietnam. The flan was interest but the cake portion on top was a bit dry.

Google
before my Dr appointment still have one hour, so picked the closer restaurant there. When you walked inside will feel so unique western style but is a Vietnamese restaurant. Looks good especially a small flower decoration on the table, fresh and pretty. Drink is yummy but fried rice maybe a bit salty…I will still recommend coz I am enjoyed my lunch there.

Google
New pho spot has opened in the circle K parking lot in my neighborhood. This use to be a ramen spot that has been there for 20 years. I'm glad to see a new local eatery taking over! We popped in for a late dinner Friday night. The restaurant is super cute! The chicken egg rolls were excellent. Freshly fried, crunchy, and served with lettuce, pickled carrots and some mint. The pho ingredients are very clean and finely sliced. My partner got the ox tail pho and absolutely loved it. The broth was flavorful and the meat was fall off the bone tender. I got the specialty dish, Banh Canh Chay, but it was not as good. The soup was a light vegetable broth and the noodles were very chewy. Maybe it’s good for some, but a bit bland for me. Overall, we love this new addition to the neighborhood and will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Google
Interesting spot for a pho restaurant. It’s right off the 10 freeway and it is surprisingly larger than it seems from the outside. There’s several parking spots right in front of the restaurant. The lot is shared with the liquor store next door. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and I ordered the oxtail pho while my friend ordered the combo pho and both of them were pretty good. The soup was a little oily though but that’s my only complaint 😅. Service was great and the staff was attentive.

Google
Hidden gem! Located in a strange place, but the restaurant is clean and modern. I guess a famous Japanese restaurant used to be there, but went out of business during the Covid pandemic. Friendly staff and fast service! The Veggie egg rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the Butterfly pea sticky rice was amazing. This is going to be my go-to spot for Vietnamese food hands down!

Google
Found this place on accident on yelp came in and the drinks are AMAZING. The banana affogato is real banana and not super sweet (right sweetner). The green thai tea was also very good too. Havent tried the food but it looks good, definitely worth a try if u havent yet.

Yelp
Came here during lunch and got their combo pho lunch special. Great deal and great quality! Their pho is a bit sweeter than I like but the quality of their ingredients is very good. I usually don't like tripe but theirs was perfectly cooked and snappy/crunchy. There's a lot of gristle in their meatball, so if it's not your thing, replace it with something else. Also, it makes me a bit sad that they only give you 1/4 of a meatball. The other meats were plentiful though. The veggie eggroll that comes with it was standard, it was lightly crisp though so that's a plus. I would skip their lemonades, it just felt like lightly flavored sugar water, and stick with their Green Thai Iced Tea. So delicious and floral. I definitely want to come back at night to try their other offerings.

Yelp
I came for a late night dinner, so I didn't have to worry about the small parking lot with limited parting spaces. Interior was small as well but decor is nice. Service was very good. I got the shrimp pho and shrimp spring rolls. The pho was hot, but I ate as quickly as I could because they were near closing time. It was still very good and flavorful. Check in on Yelp to get a free Green Thai Tea!

Yelp
When I first came in, I was lamenting how expensive Banh Mi has gotten. Like it's such a basic staple dish that typically just costs $5, but now it's not unusual to see it around $12+. And Pho Ever is not unique in this. But I was feeling banh mi and got the pork belly banh me anyway. Let me tell, you, this thing was not only delicious, but it was huge. Legit-ly two normal banh mi sandwiches. So at that price, the $12 is very worth it. Not only was it delicious, but it was soft and the pho dipping broth was so good on it's own, that it just elevated the banh mi to another level. Beyond that, the service was friendly and decor was clean. I really enjoyed this spot and will be back.

Yelp
Came to check out Pho Ever and it was good. ordered lunch special L1 Pho combo which comes with veggie egg roll. reasonably priced and portion was good size, which filled me up. server was alone but attentive, nice and got my order right away. definitely recommend a try.

Yelp
this place is a legit one! Not only the place is intimate, but it's very well taken care and clean. I came in with my family and they could accommodate small or big groups. The staff are very friendly and helpful but when I went there, they were a little understaffed so we had to ask for utensils couple times. The food are good. I got the mom's chicken rice, and I'm glad I ordered that. My expectation was it was going to be like a Hainan chicken rice, but it's a grilled chicken and it's so damn good.. you can taste the delicious chared and very very well seasoned meat. They are crab eggroll is awesome too. We wanted to try their fried mushroom but they didn't have it so that means we have to come back again!

Yelp
TLDR: Flavorful food and drinks, nice staff, quick service, cozy atmosphere, and surprisingly sizable parking lot After a long day of working outside, I was on the lookout for some healing broth. What better way to bring a day to a close than with a steaming bowl of pho? From a distance, the parking lot looks really small, but there are actually a lot of spaces in it! On the day I went, the lot was very full, but I managed to snag a spot in the back. The inside of the restaurant was pretty small, but there were a lot of small tables and a lot of people sitting inside. Our group was kind of big, so the staff had to combine several tables to seat everyone. I am thankful to them for trying to accommodate us instead of turning us away. I am also thankful for the couple of people who were kind enough to move seats so that we could use their table. The decor and lighting inside made the whole place feel very comfortable as well. I ordered Pho Tai Chin/Pho with rare steak and well-done brisket. I think the broth was so flavorful that it was borderline salty. I didn't need to add any hoisin or sriracha to the bowl, but I did put them in a side dish for dipping the meat. Overall, the food was delicious. I must admit that I've always liked rare steak more than brisket, but it was a fun change to have them both in my bowl! I ordered a Thai Tea with no ice before checking in on Yelp. When I checked in, I saw the offer to get a free Green Thai Tea and asked the server if I could replace remove the first order of Thai Tea to get this green one. He said yes, but then two drinks came out in the end. I decided to just pack up the regular one for tomorrow and drank the green one with my food. I am happy to report that they are both delicious! I felt a bit bad for coming an hour before closing, but all the food came out so quickly and we were finished at least 10 minutes before closing! I can't wait to come back and try more from this restaurant!

Yelp
This Pho Ever Vietnamese restaurant is located off 10 freeway and it is right on Hellman Ave. (It used to be Hanashima Japanese cuisine for many years). They are 2nd-gen Vietnamese family-owned & operated restaurant and they also have the Gardena location since 2009. We decided to try it for lunch yesterday. They renovated the restaurant with modern decor and removed all the old furniture. The ambiance was very welcoming and bright. I like that they had a dessert showcase facing the entrance. They also have cute and cozy outdoor seating with limited seats and tables. (I would like to have outdoor dining when the weather is good) It was so packed yesterday but we got our table immediately. The noise level was a little loud inside though. We noticed they had lunch specials every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The lunch specials have a total of 6 choices to choose from L1 to L6 for $12.95 and that includes one veggie egg roll. Also, you can add an extra $3 for a drink with a meal. The drinks include hibiscus lemonade, green Thai tea, or cucumber mint lemonade. We ordered 3 lunch specials, L1 Pho Combo (Pho Dac Biet), L2 Pho Rare Steak, and L6 Pho Shrimp. We ordered hibiscus lemonade and cucumber mint lemonade and I also checked in Yelp and got a free green Thai tea drink. Also, we ordered crab egg roll ($12.95 for 4 rolls), and nem pork sausage spring rolls ($7.95 for 2 rolls or $ 12.95 for 4 rolls). The pho broth was on point and they gave us a lot of pho noodles. Pho Combo is Pho Dac Biet and it has rare steak, brisket, tripe, tendon & beef ball. My Pho rare steak were not rare but the meat was soft. My mom liked her Pho shrimp order and it had 8 shrimps inside and they tasted fresh. Veggie egg rolls tasted okay but they were crispy and it was included in the lunch special. My daughter liked the crab egg rolls and we liked that it also came with a lot of pickled carrots and daikons on the side of this dish. They had a lot of fresh claw crab meat inside. Nem pork sausage spring rolls were pretty tasty with House peanut sauce and they were addictive though. As for the drinks, we like them all! I personally like the Green Thai Tea and cucumber mint lemonade. Cucumber Mint lemonade was so refreshing and it wasn't too sweet. Hibiscus lemonade was also good and if you prefer more sweet then that's for you. Last but not least, dessert! They have a lot of dessert choices such as flan, cheesecake, and macarons. However, we did not have enough room so we just ordered the flan ($6.5 each). It looked so cute and it tasted like creme brulee. My daughters liked the flan so much. It was a satisfying and delicious Vietnamese lunch and we would try the other dish soon! P.S. I highly recommend the drinks and desserts! Tips: Check in Yelp for a free Green Thai Tea if you dine in and spend $20 or more.

Yelp
The presentation of the drinks for picture-worthy, but I was not a fan of the cream top Thai tea (it was oddly salty). I liked the butterfly pea sticky rice and lemonade!

Yelp
What's up: Lunchtime! And we had a craving for pho. I've heard from fellow Yelpers that this place was delish and that they had a Lunch Special. Yummy and a deal? Let's go! Parking: They have a small lot up front that's shared with the shop next door. There are a handful of parking spots that reserved, so if the lot gets filled, there's street parking further down on Hellman Ave or try around the corner on S Stoneman Ave Environment: We arrived right before the lunchtime rush and were seated immediately. Staff members were friendly. The place was well lit with restrooms being located towards the left of the building, past the dividing door. We placed our orders and had a short wait before it arrived. Unfortunately, they forgot about our veggie egg rolls and we had to ask about them. Although it came late (after we finished our pho) they were crispy and hot. What was ordered: - Pho Combo Lunch Special (comes with veggie egg roll. Soup was tasty and the portion size was generous) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Despite our late egg rolls, the food was good. Staff members checked on us every so often and were polite. We were given candy as dessert and a coupon for a free drink on our next visit. Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
The location looks almost hidden! Right next to the 10 freeway across from the 76 gas station in that plaza with Gold Star Mart. Please be a defensive driver as you might see that others do not have proper driving etiquette. It might be hard entering the parking lot and park. The pho is average (good in my book though) but the drinks seem interesting! Oh and the desserts look flashy! I just find it convenient because it's one those spots that don't close too early. If you're a garlic chili paste lover like me make sure you ask them because they do not provide it on the table. There are these "lunch specials" 11AM-3PM $12.95 + veggie egg roll & $3 select drink Place looks almost always clean unless they're busy. Restrooms are almost always clean as well. Service! Most servers were really good when I first started coming here months ago but it seems like they have a new staff that seem a bit patronizing but can't complain because they brought out everything I requested & would still smile with good vibes! Please do not take offense! They are good people I think! :) Definitely will be back when other spots are closed! Maybe not always but pho ever! Hah! Thank you Adriano for your kindness and helping us out with everything! Thank you Tuan for your excellent hospitality skills.

Yelp
I ordered the rare steak pho lunch special. Yummy! The atmosphere was clean and vintage at the same time. They do a good job hiding the fact that they are near the freeway on ramp. The waitress was very nice and suggested certain dishes. I also got the drip over coffee with condensed milk. Very fun. Appetizer must haves: crab egg rolls friend tempura mushrooms

Yelp
Not gonna lie... this Vietnamese cafe serving up pho as well as some other small and special dishes came up on my radar because I saw some fellow Yelpers go to an event here. The food looked/ sounded amazing and it's not too far from where I'm working at the moment. The service here is friendly and the decor /vibe feels and looks like a modern Vietnamese restaurant or cafe. I was really tempted to order the pho here, but opted for the butterfly pea sticky rice (or Xoi Thap Cam) instead. From the pictures, the dish looked beautiful and it's something I haven't had at Vietnamese restaurants in a long time. Also, I think I've had pho a few times around that time...(it's been cold) I also ordered the Bluegrass Lemonade to wash it down. The sticky rice dish had lots of delicious flavors and textures from all the different items. Such a fun dish that's presented very well and a delicious alternative to what probably gets ordered most here (the pho). Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to come back to try their pho as well, but was so happy to try the dish that I ordered. Place is located in a tiny lot/strip mall that was pretty close to a freeway. They have their own parking, but it might get tight. I think there may be street parking close by.

Yelp
Stepping into Pho Ever in Alhambra again was an absolute delight, and the entire experience deserves a detailed recount. The moment I entered, the aesthetically pleasing interior caught my attention, creating an inviting atmosphere. The staff further enhanced the experience with their warmth and friendliness, making me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the pho. It's not an exaggeration to give it a perfect 10/10 rating. The bowl was brimming with good amount of meat, and the noodles were delightfully thick, adding a satisfying texture to every spoonful. What truly set it apart was the pure bone broth, infusing the soup with a rich and savory flavor that was nothing short of delicious. Moving on to the drink selection. Each drink was a revelation in taste, and I couldn't find a single one that didn't meet my expectations. The variety and quality of the drinks added another layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. In summary, my visit to Pho Ever was a flawless 10/10 experience. From the inviting ambiance and friendly staff to the outstanding pho and delightful drinks, every aspect contributed to a memorable dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I highly commend Pho Ever for consistently delivering top-notch quality. Keep up the fantastic work! The only thing i would add is parking is tough at the small plaza shared parking lot, and there is some that is saved for the liquor store, so my best recommendation is park a street behind the shop and then go. I would come back again!

Yelp
The L4 and pho oxtail are both solid options; I will say the broth could have been cooked for a bit longer, but it's still pretty flavorful. The meat to noodle ratio is a bit low. The blue oyster tempura mushroom makes you forget it's not actual meat; crispy and hot at the table, it's no wonder it's a fan favorite. The thai tea was also pretty good with a strong Thai tea flavor and not too sweet. Overall, very yummy place and reasonably priced for high schoolers who are hungry on a rainy, cold day. While I miss the good ole Hanashima (sp?) that was replaced, this is also a very affordable place to have lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered takeout and must say it is by far the oiliest pho I've ever had. It felt like 20% of it was pure oil and I tried to scoop out as much as I could. I really wanted to enjoy what I could, but it wasn't edible. I tried reaching out, but they were closed at that point. I love pho and go to pho often, but I don't think I've ever seen this much oil before.

Yelp
Came for their daily lunch special and left very full and content. We came on a weekday and they were pretty empty so we were seated immediately. The servers were very attentive and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. The food came out pretty quickly too. Green Thai Tea: 1/5. I did not like this drink at all. It was very milky and sweet, and I would have preferred a stronger thai tea flavor. Pho combo: 5/5. The pho broth was so yummy, I couldn't stop drinking it! It was so flavorful. Banh Mi with Braised Beef Brisket: 4/5. Banh mi came packed with veggies and meat. For the cilantro lovers, you will love the amount of cilantro they put in here. I personally hate cilantro so I had a lovely time picking them all out. I would definitely come back just for the pho and to try their other drinks.

Yelp
This place replaced Hanashima. I miss Hanashima a lot, BUT this place did not disappoint on my first visit. Second visit though... please see below. First visit: Finally stopped by to try this pho place. We ordered a lunch special- pho combo, butterfly pea sticky rice, and the butterfly pea lemonade. Pho combo: it was good! It was light but also full of flavor from all the meats. The pho noodles had a great texture. Butterfly pea sticky rice: I loved how it's like an Asian fusion plate with different various ingredients from different Asian cultures. Also I asked about the rice, and the nice waiter said that it is Vietnamese sticky rice and it is usually made with coconut. So if you taste coconut, you know why! It's also a tad sweet from the butterfly pea. Butterfly pea lemonade: it was nice and refreshing! Didn't taste much of the butterfly pea, just a bit sweet. The service was excellent, really nice people. Second visit: The service was really bad. The food was good, but the service left us with a sour taste and since, we never went back... the service makes or breaks your experience. Overall, the food is great but the service is a hit or miss...

Yelp
I've known about this pho place for a while, but I've not had the opportunity to come try it. I decided to go here for dinner one day with my wife because I saw that Pho Ever had some unique fusion style dishes I hadn't seen before. There was a Yelp check in deal for green thai tea, which I got. I ordered the butterfly pea sticky rice, and my wife ordered the pho combo. The pho combo came with beef tripe, brisket, meatballs, and some other cuts which are fairly standard for a pho combo. The pho was solid. The purple butterfly pea sticky rice was a sticky rice that came with Chinese sausage, chicken, pork floss, and pickled vegetables. I really liked the Chinese sausage and chicken. Pork floss and pickled vegetables were fairly standard. The green thai tea wasn't really a thai tea, more a sour vinegar type of drink. It was a bit too sour for me. Overall, solid Vietnamese restaurant in western SGV.

Yelp
Decent value, egg rolls are not great, condiments selection is lacking. Coffee is instant made
google avatar

Yelp
Not your typical Vietnamese restaurant. We really enjoyed the Blue Oyster Mushroom Tempura which was perfectly crispy. I tried the Banh Canh Chay, basically vegetarian udon. It had a good mix of veggies, such as corn, carrots and mushroom with fried tofu and fried shallots. Quite tasty. Hubby had Banh Mi with braised beef brisket. The bread was crispy on the outside but soft inside. It had a good amount of meat, but Hubby would like it to have more pickled vegetables just like Golden Deli. Lunch Special is available daily which is comprised of a bowl of pho (6 options) and a drink for $12.95. I did a Yelp check in and received a complimentary beverage. Green Thai Tea is not my cup of tea, but Hubby thought it was ok. Unfortunately I was charged for the beverage. However, they gave me a refund, and I do believe it was an honest mistake. There is a small parking lot shared with a liquor store, so it fills up quickly. If you don't want to deal with parking hassle, I suggest an early lunch.

Yelp
Hello hidden gem?! So glad my family decided to stop in. We were pleasantly surprised by the lunch special that was still running, even on a Sunday! Free veggie eggroll with select entree items listed. Since the drinks were basically half off on the lunch menu, I decided to try their green thai tea. THIS IS THE STAR. For those hailing from OC, the famed Seaside Donuts makes the BEST green thai tea that I feel other boba shops have tried to replicate to no avail. Pho Ever's green thai tea however is the CLOSEST to that Seaside flavor that I've tried! And I've tried many. I was pleasantly surprised! On top of that, the pho soup is packed with flavor. It tasted perfect to me but a tad too salty for my parents. It's more flavorful than most pho places I've tried. I usually don't really taste a difference when it comes to pho broths, but this one definitely caught my attention. Also they were quite generous with their beef, and some of them were so so tender. Yum! The vibes of this restaurant are definitely more modern and for a younger audience. If you're looking for a typical pho restaurant, this one isn't it. Definitely very foreign friendly with a mainly English menu and the staff is super kind and attentive despite it being busy!

Yelp
Thank you Adriano for making our first time a great experience. Everything was delicious. We felt really welcomed and Adriano took the time to explain the menu to us and give us his recommendations which didn't disappoint. Decor and vibe was sweet and inviting. Cute patio dining area. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
BRUuUuh, the fried blue oyster mushrooms are out of this world. It's crispy and delish. Much like calamari, but vegetarian. What i really enjoy about Pho Ever is the lunch deals! You mean to tell me I get a eggroll with my pho? sold. Broth was fragrant and hot. Our server was attentive and kind. I will definitely be back, especially for those mushrooms. Oh and don't forget the bev (neva neva neva lol) the cucumber basil lemonade will definitely hit the spot on a hot or cold day. Located next to a liquor store and share a parking lot with. Parking might be a bit tricky if the spot is busy. There's only indoor dining and most of the tables are 4 tops.

Yelp
Best pho around! We had the pho rare steak and pho rare steak & well done brisket Also ordered cucumber mint lemonade - delicious! Good service our fav place

Yelp
I didn't expect this place to be so packed. It's hidden in a small plaza next to the 10 freeway. Went on a Thursday night. Placed a order of the combo pho and well done brisket pho. Soup was piping hot but it was sweeter than expected and oily. Good size meat portion but wish they did give more white onions as topping. All I saw was green onions. The amount of white onions they gave is the same size as the saucer. After we paid, the cashier did give us a small card for a free drink on our next visit. Guess it's to encourage guests to visit again. I wanted to get a drink this time but the weather was cold. I might come back to get the drink and give this place another try.

Yelp
Pho Ever Story (Off their website): Our parents opened the Gardena location in 2009 to create a new life in America for their children. Growing up in a household where tradition often conflicts with culture, food never failed to help us understand each other better. Pho Ever Mission Statement: Food is our family's love language. As our brand evolves, we aim to build community bridges & grow exposure for Vietnamese cuisine. ++++++++++++++++++++ Yelp Check-In: Check in and get a free Thai Tea! One per table. 8 Special Lunch Promo (11am-3pm; $12.95. Definitely choose the pho dac biet. It costs more than the others and you maximize on the savings): 1) Pho (Your choice of: Pho Combo, Pho Rare Steak, Pho Well Done Brisket, Pho Rare Steak & Well Done Brisket, Pho Beef Meatballs, or Pho Shrimp) 2) Veggie Egg Roll 3) $3 dollar drink (Your choice of: butterfly pea lemonade, green thai tea, or cucumber mint lemonade) with meal. ++++++++++++++++++++ Restroom: They're available. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Price Point: A bit high, but seems like other places are pricing the same. Location/Parking: Located on the NE corner of Garfield and Hellman. Limited parking in the shared lot in front, but you can find parking along Hellman, Garfield, or in the residential streets. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty cool ambiance, modern furnishings to sit on, and music playing in the background. They also have a pretty chill outdoor patio. If you're lucky, you can see the owner water her plants. :) Service: Service okay. Staffers were friendly and offered good suggestions. They aren't that attentive. I sat at my table for a bit wondering if they were going to ask if I wanted the bill or at least check on me to see how I was doing. The stand still ended when I got tired and just asked them for it. Food Of Choice: 1) Nem Nuong Banh Hoi: Combined with the background music, I actually had a great eating experience. Prepare to get your hands dirty, because your hands will definitely smell like all the ingredients (woven vermicelli noodles, pork sausages, mint, basil, and pickled daikon and carrots) that makes up this dish. Make sure you use up the fish sauce (Nuoc Cham) and perhaps ask for more! 2) Pho Dac Biet: I thought it was good. They did give a decent amount of meat. Drink Of Choice: 1) Lion's Dance: I really liked this drink very much. When I patronized this shop this week, the manager/co-owner (Hanli) said that they ran out of the key element (dragon fruit) and couldn't get it shipped from Vietnam in time. I was very bummed about this, but at least my total bill was lowered without being charged that drink 2) Thai Tea: Thai tea was very good when I had it the next day. Ask for less condensed milk, if you don't like the sweetness and if you can't take much dairy. Pho Ever For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back to try other food items and I'll definitely check back to see if they have the Lion's Dance drink in stock so I can enjoy that glorious drink.

Yelp
I was interested in trying this place since they had some interesting items on their menu, like the butterfly pea sticky rice, oxtail pho, and the oyster mushroom tempura. All of which I had to try! I called the order in so that it would be ready when we got there for pick up. They were very friendly on the phone. We got the Lion's Dance (Vietnamese red dragonfruit, lemonade mint and a sprig of rosemary) and the Sea Salt Foam Vietnamese Coffee. Both were very good. The Vietnamese Coffee was very strong We also ordered the chicken egg rolls and crab egg rolls. Both were good. I really liked the butterfly pea sticky rice. The rice flavor is subtle and it goes great with all the proteins, chicken, pork floss and lap chung and the pickled daikon and carrot. The oyster mushroom tempura was very good. I could eat with or without the dipping sauce. I personally love oxtail so I knew I had to try their pho. The broth is good. And even though the oxtails are on the smaller side. They give you like 4 of them. So it gives you a good amount of meat. Since we ordered it to go. The packaging was great. They separate the noodles and the broth. Very good, and would definitely come back.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our first time at this spot ! It's down the street from Where we live and we wanted a nice date night out ! The team was very welcoming and friendly when we came in. They let us choose where to sit and quickly made sure we were comfortable or needed water. We ordered hot tea as it was raining out side and they even came to make sure we had plenty of water in the tea pot for refills throughout the time we were there. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere . We hadn't had Pho in a while and this hit the spot ! We also ordered some sides which I included pictures . We definitely see ourselves coming back to this spot for another date night to get our Pho fix !

Yelp
I went to Pho Ever for lunch at 1pm on a Sunday. It's not a big space but it was pretty packed. There was a beautiful patio area outside. The server mentioned something about it being for drinks but I'm not sure of the specifics. I'm not fond of the limited parking lot and being situated near the freeway entrance but my friends and I did not have a difficult time parking. We chose to take advantage of the lunch special, which comes with a decent sized entree, a veggie egg roll, and the option to add a drink for $3. It would have been nice if it came with a drink already but that's fine. You can add a free Thai tea with the check-in offer! Just note that it's one per table, which made it a teeny bit awkward when my friend also tried to redeem the offer. The food was good but not at the top of my list. My friend said the pho was a bit sweet for her taste. The portion size was good. The egg roll was decent but I've had better. They ran out of veggie so they did give me a regular egg roll so I can't speak to their veggie egg roll. The highlight of my meal was the oyster mushroom tempura. It was a big portion size and crispy. It was very nice in the sweet and sour sauce provided. The drink menu was surprisingly large. I liked my lemonade and my Thai tea. My friend was happy with her guava lava. The drink prices were just a little higher than expected considering it's not a boba shop. Service was a bit mixed. Everyone was perfectly nice. It's just a small operation with not enough staff. We were told that they were so busy that they didn't have enough clean glasses. It was not a problem because they brought them out shortly. But everything came out very quickly and our server checked in on us just the right amount.

Yelp
Located just by the freeway ramp, it's really tucked away in the corner next to a convenience store (?). Limited parking! Drive by too fast, and you'll miss it. It's easier to enter through the residential side instead of the main street. They open at 11:30am and I came at 11:40 and was surprised to see it was already busy! That's how you know it's good :) service was prompt and friendly! I ordered the lunch combo pho rare steak and added a green Thai tea for an additional $3. My food came pretty quickly. The broth is super flavorful and portion is quite generous. The lunch special also came with a free veggie egg roll - it was nice and crispy! I have never had green Thai tea before and usually dislike Thai tea in general but I was floored with how refreshing it was! It tasted very fresh, wasn't too sweet at all and very smooth. Not a bad deal for lunch special :) when you're done eating, head to the counter by the door to pay. I like this because sometimes when you're still eating an employee will put the bill down in front of you ans make you feel rushed. Also small note, but they had fresh flowers in a chilled jar on the table. I really appreciated that small touch! Makes the area feel nice. :)

Yelp
Wow! What a gem, I was excited to try the vegetarian options here! They have a couple of options including a noodle soup, mushroom banh mi, veggie fried rice. They have wonderful lunch specials (though I wish there was a vege option on that list). Today I got a Thai tea with Yelp check in, a veggie fried rice, and the banh canh chay. The Thai tea was delicious and served in a pretty glass. The noodle soup was so flavorful with fresh veggies and 2 quail eggs, fried tofu, and oyster mushroom pieces. These ingredients really elevated the dish and I appreciated that the tofu tastes freshly friend in the restaurant. The veggie fried rice was also very flavorful. I was asked if I wanted fish sauce for it and they subbed with soy sauce instead. They also asked if I wanted egg. The egg smell was very prominent! Staff is very friendly and I can taste the love put into the dishes. Next time I'm bringing my Vietnamese in-laws.

Yelp
Loved the name and saw that this place had great reviews so I decided to give it a chance. The service was quick and great. I do wish we could've sat outside but we were told that's for drinks only which was a little disappointing. Rare beef pho - 9/10 there was good flavor to the broth and enough meat. Beef banh mai - 10/10 so much meat, great bread, loved it. I ate half there and took the other half home which I ate cold the following day and it was still just as good. Tea- 2/10 cute pot and touch but was not worth the price.

Yelp
Foods and service are great. We love the girl with glass. She is very attentive and always check on us if we need anything else. They have lunch special everyday until 3 pm. You can add drinks for $3 with their lunch special. Recommended for hibiscus lemonade and mint lemonade. Also, they have memeber rewards just remember to enter your tel# each time you pay in the front tonsee how many points you have. You might get some discounts off. We will come back soon

Yelp
Just wanted to follow up saying that after 8 months, this is still THE spot and if anything, it's gotten BETTER. Usually when I become a regular I see the deterioration of business happen slowly but not here. I only recently had their Banh Mi and hands down it's the BEST. I got the beef obviously and it is super delicious. I have another spot I like for cheaper banh Mi but this is it if you want something way different from your fast food banh mi stop. ALSO lunch special menu was recently implemented for a couple months. And it is WORTH it. The drink choices are fair and they are so good, I always get the ruby. Only thing I can complain about now is that they close early relative to my lifestyle and why they gotta be so far. But there's nothing seriously bad I can complain about. I still love this spot to death

Yelp
We were pleasantly impressed with how great the pho was here. It was our first time and we ordered shrimp and combo pho as well as veggie spring rolls. Servers were attentive and nice. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
It was a Saturday around lunchtime, and I found myself with a serious hankering for a steaming bowl of pho, preferably with some rare steak in it. So, I turned to my trusty sidekick, Yelp, and noticed that this spot had recently opened its doors. It's tucked away in a corner of a plaza right next to the freeway. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place was, which was a great start. I arrived around 2 PM, and despite the busy atmosphere, I was seated promptly. One thing that caught my eye was their lunch special, available from 11:30 AM to 3 PM every day - definitely a plus! I decided to go for the pho combo, which came with a vegetarian eggroll (meh). I also ordered a side of rare beef. My eagerly anticipated bowl of pho arrived just a few minutes later, steaming hot. They also brought a small plate with the essential veggies and a lemon wedge. Since I love veggies in my pho, I tossed everything into the bowl. The broth was outstanding, with a clean and satisfying taste. The meats were tender, and the dish wasn't overly oily. I have to say, I really enjoyed this bowl of pho.

Yelp
I came upon this little Vietnamese restaurant sorta by accident bc the one I wanted to go closed early. But I was glad that I did Let me start with the more familiar combo pho. The broth was excellent and very flavorful. Many of my usual pho gotos have diluted their broths to offset the impact of inflation, which is a real sham. But no such problem here. The meats were tender and portions generous. Dare I say it's actually better than Golden Deli's? Then there were some unique dishes like the blue oyster mushroom tempura. The texture of the mushrooms itself was very pleasing plus the tempura batter added and the shredded cabbage and pickled vegetables added several more dimensions. The butterfly pea sticky rice was another interest and delicious dish. Not sure what butterfly peas were. The dish is a concoction of coconut flavored purple sticky rice accompanied by Chinese sausage, soy and garlic marinated chicken, tempura semi soft boiled eggs, and pork floss. This dish reminds me of some Indonesian rice dishes. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Pho combo was having everything in there and the pho itself was tasty, it's a good place to have pho, plus the place will have a lunch special sooner!! The drink menu is more impressive on their cocktails menu, I picked the one of salty plum soda lemonade, good for the flu n after pandemic season!! More selection people can look at the drinks pictures on yelp!! The dining room has two area plus outside gardening view!! Service was quick n efficiency!!

Yelp
Pho ever is your local elevated vietnamese restaurant. In the city of Alhambra border line of Monterey Park. It's a must try. Located right off the free on the i10 Garfield exit. Food: What I tried was the beef brisket sandwich. I must say it's cooked to perfection. Seriously melt in your mouth sandwich with a delicious au jus.(dipping juice) Highly recommended. Beef pho with rare steak and tendon. The broth was delicious and you can tell it was fresh and I must say it's definitely not your average pho the flavors was exceptional and high quality. Also had the deep fried mushrooms appetizer. It's lightly battered and it was so delicious could not get enough of it. Restaurant: Clean and quite small. If you plan on going with a big group definitely go early Staff and service: Stass was very friendly and attentive. But on my 3rd visit here mayybe they were short staffed I had to wait longer than usual. The Cons: Here's the updates correction there are restrooms available. Thank you for clarifying. Last time I was there the person working there told me and my family there was none available. Glad you clarified that there is. Also it's in a plaza shared with circle K. Parking space is limited. Conclusion: Highly recommended this place if you want to try an elevated gourmet version of Vietnamese food definitely give them a try. They are definitely one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant whenever I'm in the Alhambra Monterey park area.

Yelp
Must try pho restaurant! As a huge pho lover, I'm surprised I didn't know about this place until recently. The restaurant looks very nice and clean with friendly staff as well. The food though, is the highlight of the restaurant. I had the pho with well done brisket lunch combo and I fell in love! The combo comes with an egg roll and a drink (+$3). The pho was delicious! The broth was flavorful, and the meat was high quality. I thought the noodles were slightly over cooked, but still good nonetheless. As for the drinks, I thought all of them were interesting options, but I decided on the butterfly pea lemonade. It was a nice refreshing drink, but slightly on the sweet side. Overall, I'd definitely be back here. The prices are great and the food is even better! Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Yelp

Yelp
My shrimp Fried Rice was dripping with oil!! It was very oily! I wouldn't order that. They pored the whole bottle of oil into the fried rice! Not healthy at all! I couldn't believe they would serve that!! Never again!!

Yelp
Back a 2nd time already. Parking - Came here on a Thursday plenty of parking in the lot that is shared with a liquor store. I hear it gets extremely busy on weekends. I've yet to venture here on a sat/sun. Pho is actually quite good here and not extremely salty. The flavor here I would describe as more of a natural beef flavor. The drinks are unique and great and service is pretty good. Will be back again to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
It's our first time here. Greetes by the staff with warm welcomes. The restaurant was nice and clean. We can about 40 mins before closing. We got our food in a timely manner. The ox tail was so good and the combo as well. The mushroom tempura was so good with the crunch, but one recommendation is that they should put less salt. The salt overpowered the food. But overall, definitely would come back.

Yelp
You know what they say about Pho. It's the best cure for a hangover. Came here on a sunday around 2 PM with a party of 10, it was not too busy which is a huge plus. They share the parking lot with the other tenants (convenience store?) but I had to park on the street on Hellman as there were no more spots available. They have a lunch special, I believe from 12-3 PM which comes with a vegetable egg roll, and you can opt for a special drink (3 options). I was able to check in yelp and got a complimentary green thai iced tea with grass jelly that was DELICIOUS. The others had a vietnamese iced coffee that was also DELICIOUS! Had a tasty nutty finish. For my main dish, I got the pho combo (rare steak, brisket, tripe, beef ball). It was delicious. Lots of green onions which I love, also came with white onion. Everything was delicious. Food, drinks, and service was all great. Would I come back? You bet.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem. The interior is very quaint and homely, as if you're visiting a relative. The service is excellent and the waitresses always took our orders and checked on us with cheeriness and politeness. The food manages to hit a balance between flavorful without being too salty, which I've become far pickier of when it comes to pho. I do want to highlight the drinks though, as they have quite a list of very unique drinks. I'd come here just to try them out! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a visit!
