Bo Bun was nice, flavorful, waitress was nice and explained me the menu. I asked no onions and it came with onion. Most people tip pretty low there so they don’t really have high tip expectations. Would probably go back as it really have given me nice Vietnamese vibes.

A friend of mine recommended me the place so went here to try some food here, the food is very decent, the price is very affordable, it was okay, we ordered some noodle and some rice with pork, but the pork is kinda soggy but worth the price. I didn’t enjoy the food, and the problem is when I’m about to go pay, they only accept cash, they don’t accept card. So end up paying cash.

The good side: - The pho soup is tasty - Shrimp roll is excellent The bad side: - 2/3 tendons in the soup are just chewy and not edible. - Staff don’t speak English. - The guy who delivers food touched my beansprouts with bare hands coz he doesn’t understand English when asked for a small empty plate. He also never gives me one. - The same guy was mopping the floors. Beware of this guy wearing a black hat. No proper hygiene education here.

Google
Food was good pho broth was tasty. You get to choose the type of noodles for your pho, so that nice. We also ordered the Hainan chicken. The rice was really good flavorful not to dry not to wet just right. The chicken was good I bit dry but good so was the sauce.

Google
Flavorful broth and high quality chicken meat. I can taste the difference in texture and tenderness of the chicken as they advertise it as free range. The interior has been upgraded since the last time I've been here. It looks modern and newly redone.

Google
I was recommended Pho Ga Bac Ninh as a top spot for chicken pho, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered their chicken pho with noodles, but when my bowl arrived, I was surprised to find chicken feathers in the broth. The chicken itself was quite chewy, which was disappointing—perhaps I just happened to visit on an off day. The spring rolls seemed to be pre-packaged in saran wrap and simply placed on the table, which was a bit off-putting. However, due to the language barrier, I chose not to address it. On a positive note, the lemonade soda was fantastic and refreshing. As for returning, I’m uncertain. This is my honest experience.

Google
The food was average. They did have some bread that was delicious and the service was decent.

Google
Their white Hainan chicken is the specialty, and the Hainan rice (we think it's made of garlic and chicken oils) is sooooo delicious!! You can also pair the chicken with rice or egg noodles instead of rice. Note that this place is cash only so make sure you have enough on hand. For dessert, we had the sesame peanut and coconut peanut mochi which always runs out, so you can get a pack of 4 before you finish your meal to make sure you have some by the time you finish eating. Finally, we took out an iced coconut red bean drink that's reminiscent of the Filipino halo halo shaved ice dessert.

Yelp
Looking for a solid chicken pho is easy in SGV... for a group of 8 we got seated right away and we had great service. We chose this place was because of the reviews on the softness of the rice noodle and chicken reviews. They have several options for noodle type and I thought that was cool! The broth is feels like home, chicken had a good amount of meat on it and not just bones, we also ordered the braised beef and half a chicken to share which were both great portions. We will be back on another trip to SGV.

Yelp
I was hoping to get some delicious Pho Ga to bring home to my daughter and husband getting over a nasty stomach bug. Sadly the chicken was rubbery and the broth wasn't too appealing. The egg rolls were just "ok" and not crispy at all. All the raving reviews made all of us excited for some local Pho Ga, but sadly this place did not hit the spot. Maybe it was a bad batch? Idk. If I ever decide to come back I may update my review, but right now I am throwing away $40.00 worth of food.

Yelp
I looked up Pho places in the area near me to try somewhere different than my usual favorite Pho spot. This one popped up. I chose this one in particular because they use real fresh chicken meat. I liked the fact that it had many people already eating there early in the morning. Prices are fairly reasonable. It's an a center, so easy to get to, was able to get a parking space right away. It's actually bigger inside than I thought. It is cash only. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. The Pho was good. The broth wasn't as favorable as I like but very healthy tasting and they didn't give basil in my order to go. So next time I know to ask. I did like the egg rolls. And want to try their rare beef next time. I did like trying here for something new.

Yelp
Really delicious and authentic chicken pho. The broth is clean and flavorful and it tastes close to homemade. I also enjoy their mien (glass noodles) that comes with woodear mushrooms. I also enjoy the hai Nam chicken that comes with a very fragrant ginger rice. I wish they had a white meat option or that their dark meat has more meat on it. It's a lot of bones and skin for the portion. While chicken is the focus here, they also have other dishes like bun rieu, banh cuon and bun cha Hanoi. Service is quick at first but fairly inattentive once food is brought to you. They are located in a strip mall with abundant and easy parking. Overall a solid old school spot.

Yelp

Yelp
This is a great spot to get chicken pho. Their soup tastes very authentic. Also their hainam chicken rice is a favorite of mine. Paired with their ginger sauce= delicious. You cant enjoy it without their sauce. Their banh cuon is fire! The noodles is soft and comes with a lot of filling. Must get their penny worth drink! So refreshing. It is a cash only place but they accept zelle. Decent parking. Service was very good.

Yelp
Came here to check out another Pho Ga place. Decent parking lot. Had the large portion of Pho ga, only $1 difference from small. Tons of noddle. Good quantity of chicken. Chicken is slightly more chewy than other places. they do have the chicken ginger sauce on the table. Broth is delicious and light. The Banh cuon was a last minute add on. and Pretty glad we added it on. Quite delicious, would come back for the banh cuon. fillings just right and right texture. Yum! also fast service, food was out in under 10mins. Come try!

Yelp
Pho is life. When I crave phở gà, this is where I go. The bowl is full of fresh noodles, a fragrant broth and the temperature is ALWAYS on point. I like my chicken bone-in and on the side but you can get shredded if you prefer. Don't forget to dip or drizzle every bite with the sweet and tangy ginger fish sauce. (Not pictured but def try rice rolls as an app or even your main, they're yummy)

Yelp
Whenever we're in the area, my dad always brings me to this pho spot. From the outside, I didn't think it would be anything special, but the food here is pretty good. The chicken pho here is so flavorful, way better than other places I've tried. Plus, the service is super quick; we never have to wait long for our food.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for pho ga. Broth is so deliciously chicken-y and clean. The large comes with so much noodles. Chicken is great with their fish and ginger scallion sauce. I believe all their chickens are free range. Got to also try their chicken and the broken rice plate that is soooo good. Service is super quick. They only take cash! The line gets pretty long on the weekends :D
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
For a chicken pho place their broth was so tasteless and the chicken was very overcooked (hard, rubbery). I got the mien ga which is just replacing the classic pho noodles with glass noodles instead and it came all balled up. The banh cuon was more flavorful but the rice roll had too much filling and the viet ham given was very skimmy. At least they had a parking lot with decent spots
google avatar

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
Wow if you are craving pho ga, this is the place to go. They specialize in pho ga and their com ga is really delicious too. I love how you can choose which noodles you want as well. The prices are extremely reasonable. The servers were extremely attentive. I love that they give you the sauce to dip the chicken in too. Really delicious pho ga!! The broth is super clean too.

Yelp
I was craving for Vietnamese food so I ordered some food for to go at Pho Ga Bac-Ninh. It's located on New Ave in Monterey Park. I've been to this place many times but their quality seems to be going down. We got the bun cha ca (fish cake noodle soup - small size $12.25) and bun cha gio thit nuong $13.25 (grilled pork, fried egg rolls, fresh herbs & veggies tossed with vermecelli). However, I'm disappointed by their grilled pork quality, they were very thin slices and so dry, it tasted like pork jerky but they were lack of flavor to me and even the color did not seem right. The fried egg rolls were not crispy as well. For the fish cake noodle soup, I didn't taste much tomato flavor as well. Price is reasonable and portion size are good but they need to improve the quality of the food.

Yelp
After our hike, we were looking for a light meal and decided to try the pho ga at this Vietnamese restaurant. We arrived just in time to avoid the lunch rush and ordered the large bowl of pho ga. As we ate, the restaurant quickly filled up with people. The soup was clean-tasting and the chicken was flavorful, thanks to the delicious sauce. I usually enjoy chicken noodle soup, but this bowl of pho ga was something special. It was simple and comforting, just what we needed after the hike. This place is a lot more modern than their other location but I been to both and they food at both places tastes just as good!

Yelp
Came here on Mother's Day lunch and it was reasonably crowded. They definitely specialize in Pho Ga (Chicken) and I'd say it's one of the better Pho Ga in the area. The broth has a really strong chicken flavor but also tasted pretty clean. This is what I tried. Pho Ga - This is the goto here hence by the name of the restaurant with tasty noodles and a flavorful broth. I think they use fresh chicken too since the meat is a bit more chewy than the ones from the grocery store. Solid (5/5). Bun Cha Hanoi - This was pretty good here but I've had better at other places. Overall still very flavorful and the meatballs were pretty good. (4/5) I would be back here for the Pho Ga and will be my goto since it's pretty local!

Yelp
The service was super fast and quick. Almost 5 minutes after we ordered our food was ready. The soups were flavorful and the chicken dipping sauce was delicious. It paired so well with the steamed chicken. The restaurant outside is unassuming and the inside was tight. It was packed during all hours of the day but the wait time was still manageable! They are always busy and they work quickly and efficiently. If you are a fan of pho ga this is the place for you!

Yelp

google avatar

Yelp
It's a no frills, get-in-and-get-out kinda place. Really solid pho. Broth tasted pretty clean and not laden with msg like other pho spots. Noodles were al dente, too. I've also tried their spring rolls and bun rieu. I'd pass and go straight for the beef or chicken pho every time.

Yelp
I appreciate the efficiency and quality of service at Pho Ga Bac Ninh in Monterey Park. Ordering a chicken pho to go was a smooth transaction. The meal was packed excellently, ensuring no spills or mess during transport. The pho itself was a delight--boneless chicken that was tender and juicy, complemented perfectly by a fragrant vinegar sauce that added a unique, delightful twist. Worth noting: this spot is cash-only, so come prepared.
google avatar

Yelp
Simply the best chicken pho hands down. We ordered take out from here and it tasted just like it would if we had dined in. It was the perfect meal to ingest, especially when we were really sick with the cold at the time!! A total life saver in the form of hot, flavorful broth
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend this place!!!! Their soup is very good and their chicken is amazing! Not a huge fan of chicken pho but this one hits the spot! I also like how they would hand made these mochi sesame desserts! You have to go really early to pick them up. Once it runs out, there isn't anymore until The next day!!!
google avatar

Lili C.

Yelp
This is our favorite go to place for chicken noodle soups! (Pho Ga) The free-range chicken pieces are chunky and boneless and the broth is flavorful without being too salty. Cash only or Venmo/Zelle.
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever I need some comfort food and something to keep me warm and satisfied, this chicken noodle soup always satisfying and makes me happy...whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. I can have it anytime of the day and will not disappoint me at all.

Yelp
Easy parking Went off hours Around 5 people still eating but it was their break you can tell Got both types of chicken One shredded one not Both delicious yet different Their garlic fish sauce for the chicken is amazing The man was separating gallons of it and honestly can probably do us that sauce on other proteins Been a while waiting to go here and it's really great good from really great people Oh yeah cash only

Yelp
We discovered this restaurant on Instagram and will now make it a regular dining spot for us. The pho ga is just as good as Pho Ga District, but this restaurant has plenty of parking and no waiting time. Their banh cuon is the best I've had in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Good fresh chicken with fresh noodles. Great place to get your pho ga fix. Like that they have banh Cuon too. Good service.

Yelp
Sunday lunch time. Very busy. Line around the block but it moved relatively quickly. 10 tables in front of me and took about 20 minutes to get in. Service is prompt and friendly for a restaurant in the area. Parking lot is small and filled up quick and was able to find a spot right in the front. They had strong AC was a warm summer day. Took my order very quickly as I already knew what I wanted. Food came quickly within 5 min. The chicken wow heavenly. Everything here is fresh and high quality. The rice noodles so fresh prob made in the morning the chicken so juicy and flavorful. The soup I was actually ok on I would prefer more chicken taste esp that good chicken fat. Ordered large chicken pho and they are very generous with the chicken. This place is awesome. Looks like they've raised their price several times in the last year. Seems normal and a deal compared to other spots. Those who are giving less than 4 stars not sure what they are thinking. Come here and get your belly fill
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Like others have said, known for the pho ga (chicken pho) Food comes out pretty fast and plenty of tables. The good things: broth is not heavy and clean. Price is cheap for $11.xx for a large bowl The ok: the chicken was dry No outdoor seating Lots of parking in the lot
google avatar

Yelp
as someone who always gets pho bò (beef pho), this chicken pho was a refreshing change of palate! the place is average sized and was actually quite active for a random weekday 2-3pm. i opted for their pho ga large and it was the perfect amount. the chicken bones weren't bothersome at all and the meat was good. some pieces were tender and some were chewy which i didn't mind. i can tell the broth and ingredients were fresh. i really liked dipping the pieces in the garlic soy sauce! super fast serving as well, i felt like i didn't even wait 5 min. i love how light but savory it was!! will be back to eat again the next time i want another pho style.
google avatar

Phuong V.

Yelp
I really love their pho ga here. FYI it's on the bland side a bit for older folks but I just add in a lil fish sauce and it's perfect. They have it on each table along with the sauces. Service here is always good as well.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my wife and my brother and his family. Never really was a pho ga type of dude, but this place has it in their name, so I figured I'd step out of my comfort zone a bit and try something different. We ordered a variety of items like a whole chicken, their pho ga obviously, rice, banh cuon, rice, and egg rolls. Firstly, the pho ga. Super perfect for the gloomy weather yesterday. Very comforting. The broth is delicate, clear, and full of flavor. Also the perfect amount of fat/oil which gave the broth some body. The other great thing about their pho is the medium width noodles! I'm a fan of regular rice noodles, but not quite a big noodle enjoyer, so the medium ones are just right. The chicken was superb. Perfectly cooked. The skin was springy and even the white meat was juicy. The dipping sauce was super good too. I must've used over a bowl of the stuff. Goes great on the rice, by the way! Speaking of rice, their rice was GREAT. Super flavorful and addicting. I could body an ENTIRE pot to myself. That's the best thing about being adult. Being able to make awful decisions like consuming your body weight in rice and/or carbs. Food pyramid? Pfft. Anyway, the banh cuon was good just like everything else. Springy, fresh, and the filling was tasty too. This would be good to share! Overall, the meal was super satisfying. Everything we ordered was delicious. They were super busy when we stopped in and I can definitely see why this place is such a hit.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place after work and ever since then I've been coming here to eat my lunch - however they do get packed. Good thing is that they serve pretty quick. I believe when I ordered the food, the food came out in like 5-10min? I tried their "Pho Ga (Khong Xomg), it was flavorful and a healthy choice. I also tried one of their vermicelli noodle with beef/egg roll it was also good. In terms of the environment, they have good air conditioning going on, the people that serve me food was clean. Only bad side I would say is that they only accept cash but they accepts zelle payments and the parking may be limited
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for Pho & I've tried quite a few. Some are too sweet and this one is just perfect. I have zero complaints .They give a good amount of meat & noodles compared to a lot of other places. Service is very straight to the point they don't come to the table until you are all ready to order. Also make sure to ask for extra whatever you need (limes, water etc.) at the beginning or when the food is brought out cuz flagging down the server is quite a challenge lol. There is nothing special about the ambiance but i can say it is decently clean.
google avatar

Elaine Z.

Yelp
They specialize in and are known for chicken pho but I come for the bun oc. It's spicy, tangy, savory, earthy--just super craveable and satisfying. The chicken rice is great too.
google avatar

Sherwin C.

Yelp
Randomly found this place on Yelp while looking for lunch around the area. Placed a phone order for some Spring Rolls. It came with 3 rolls and a container of Peanut Sauce. It tasted fresh. Only down side was the rice paper wrapping was easily ripping, but didn't alter the taste. Great value for the price point. Service was good. Establishment was clean and well lit. Cash preferred but accepts Zelle or Venmo. Will come back next time I don't bring lunch to work.
google avatar

Yelp
The best pho ga in socal. I grew up eating here as a kid. Chicken pho restaurants have come and go, but this place has stood the test of time. The broth has a smooth chicken flavor. The chicken itself is juicy, perfectly cooked, and has that nice texture from free range chicken. The nuoc cham (ginger fish sauce) is very flavorful (note: ginger fish sauce is core to chicken pho. If a place does not have it, it's not authentic!) The portions are good and the price is great still despite inflation. If you are not in the mood for pho, their bun cha ha noi (charocol grilled meat and noodles) and banh uot (flat noodles) are really good as well. I have tried all the pho ga in SGV and Garden Grove and this is the place to beat.
google avatar

Andrea Y.

Yelp
This place specializes in chicken pho and is very popular for it. The pho ga is a really simple broth, not too flavorful, served with soft, flat rice noodles. They're known for their steamed whole chickens, which are nice and chewy. Personally, I thought their pho ga was a bit underwhelming... not enough chicken flavor or spices in the broth. It's very busy though so clearly a lot of people like it. Another time, I tried their bun rieu. The broth really lacked flavor so I asked for some shrimp paste to mix in. Also the rieu (crab meatballs) really tasted like it was made of just egg and pork. There wasn't really any crab, seafood, or tomato flavor that bun rieu is supposed to have. I do like their goi cuon (pork and shrimp spring rolls) though. It's really fresh and soft, with a delicious dipping sauce.
google avatar

Helen X.

Yelp
This was my first time dining here and I'm not too impressed. I ordered the popular Pho Ga but I thought the broth was a bit bland. I wish the chicken flavor was stronger. I had to add hoisin sauce for more flavor. I do like that the chicken was boneless even though it was a bit dry. I didn't like the sauce at all but it's mostly personal preference because I hate ginger. I think the only thing I liked was the noodles. We also tried their Banh Cuon Tom Thit and it was just okay too. Service is pretty fast though. There was also plenty of parking. Would I come back? Maybe. But it's not a restaurant I'd suggest to eat at if someone asked.
google avatar

Bianca L.

Yelp
A little bummed because my homegirl has been holding out on this spot (her grandpa's favorite). Well, she finally took me. So BOMB! I love how clean the broth is, really hits the spot. A good portion of noodles and the chicken is tender. The garlic chili is my favorite. Can't wait to come back on a rainy day. Big parking lot

Darin c.

Yelp
Has been here many times. Chicken and pho are good. But the chicken soup base is hit and miss! Sometimes the soup tasted water down. Bowl of chicken noodles and ice coffee cost over $20 dollars which is expensive in this area!

Yelp
Everytime I'm back in the 626, gotta get me some pho ga. I used to frequent this location but after a few more places popped up, I have not been back for a while. When we got here on a Sunday around 1 pm, I was pleasantly surprised to see there was no wait. It was nice since I brought the baby and pho places tend to be cramped. We were able to sit in a table in the back and had plenty of room to ourselves. The pho ga really hit the spot. Only complaint is I ordered it with shredded chicken because I hate navigating the bones (am I even Asian?) and the shredded white meat was so tough I gave up chewing it and set all the pieces aside. The dark meat was fine though. Overcooked maybe? The service was great. They acknowledged the baby and offered to bring her a little bowl to eat which I appreciated. He asked if the shredded chicken was for the baby and I was like nope, it's for me lol. Baby did enjoy eating the noodles though! Will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
A solid Northern style Viet comfort food spot! This place has been around for a really long time and continues to be a good go-to. This is a no-frills type of place, but the dishes are solid. The big sell here is specifically selling Northern style viet food versus most places offering southern style, at least in the states. Bonus: there is a boba tea place next door for after your meal Parking: solid parking lot for free Seating: indoors booth or tables Wifi: no Payment: cash, card is maybe? Vibe: typical Asian restaurant and medium ambiance Dress code: casual
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a plaza with a small parking lot, so plan accordingly. They are also CASH ONLY. My family and I were seated right away. The restaurant is nice and clean and we went at peak lunch hours around 12 o clock. Servers were attentive and took our order and food came out pretty fast. The food is alright. I think it's overpriced for pho and that you can get better elsewhere. The fish sauce is very sweet. They are also very stingy on vegetables like thai basil. There was no tripe, which is a favorite of my family. Overall, this restaurant is just mediocre and overpriced, but the atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is clean.

Yelp
As the 1% of Asians that don't care for Pho, I have to say Pho Ga Bac-Ninh has one of the tastiest pho I've ever had. In fact, I am looking forward to eating here again! We are always reluctant to try new places but Pho Ga Bac-Ninh looked promising. My husband and I came on a weekday during lunchtime and to our surprise, it was a full house. They are known for their Pho Ga. The broth was packed with flavor with the right amount of richness and a pinch of fat/oil to embody the entire dish. The noodles were cooked perfectly and not overdone. The chicken was extra tender and extremely fresh. I love the sweet garlic chili sauce it comes with. Makes every bite extra tasty. Yum. Although I don't care for Pho, I am a lover of other things Vietnamese like their Banh Cuon. The dough was extra soft and pillow-y. The stuffing had the right amount of meat and the sliced steamed pork roll with nuoc mam was chef's kiss. The bean sprouts and cucumbers were an added bonus. We also ordered a whole chicken with rice and a side of eggrolls. Yes, we overordered but glad we did. Everything was delicious and I can see why they were busy. Service is friendly and food came out quickly. We will be visiting next time we are in town.
google avatar

Helen Y.

Yelp
I was just craving pho ga and wanted comfort food. This place was open and quick. Their price is pretty decent for the amount of food you get. The chicken pho hit the spot. I actually couldn't finish the large size and end up taking half of it home. It's a pretty typical pho place but sometime about it just makes it feels homey.
google avatar

Magdalena T.

Yelp
This was my first time having chicken pho and it was the best thing ever! I loved it! I probably wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for my bf's family. Really delicious! Service could be better, but food was still good.

Yelp
I went to order some Pho to go and it was about 10ish so they were getting ready to close. I asked if they are still making orders to go and the cashier double checked with the cooks and they said yes. Pho was ready in about 5 minutes and as soon as I got to my job and checked the items I realized my soup was completely cold. Poured it on my meat and soup and im still trying to chew the pieces of meat because the soup didnt cook up the meat at all. Wasted 20$ for this. Please do not take orders last minute if your quality is going to be this bad.

Yelp
My Viet girlfriend wanted some proper Pho Ga, so of course we stopped by here and ordered her some, along with some egg rolls to share, and Pho Tai for myself. My girl has been here before so she knew what to expect (or so she thought) and spoke very highly of this place. Unfortunately, either 'things have changed' at this establishment or they were having a VERY off day- because when we tasted our food- we immediately knew something was 'off.' The Pho Ga was bland, the beef in my Pho was gray and rubbery- and the broth tasted like brownish, lime flavored water- it was as if someone made a Pho-flavored LaCroix... Bizarre. The 4 (small) egg rolls were pretty much the only saving grace here... But for a $40 meal, we'll be sticking with Golden Deli.
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
This place has good chicken pho broth. My only complaint is that every time I eat the chicken it's so dry it gets stuck in my gums, but this has probably the best broth in town for chicken.
