"Kim Phan (of Michelin-recognized Kingfisher and Crab Hut) launches a take-out pop-up built around her family recipe for phở gà, whose fragrant, nearly clear broth is simmered with chicken bones for 12 hours and ladled over thick rice noodles with Christopher Ranch garlic, bean sprouts, and organic ginger. I can choose dark or white meat—leg and thigh or breast and wing—and I won’t skip the chả giò stuffed with pork, shrimp, taro, carrot, wood ear mushroom, and mung bean noodles. The nước chấm leans on Red Boat fish sauce made from anchovies and sea salt and barrel-aged for 12 months in Vietnam, and for now pre-orders are available for Sunday-to-Tuesday pick-ups inside the Mira Mesa Crab Hut." - Helen I. Just had it for the first time today. Very high quality chicken. All the ingredients were extremely fresh including the fresh noodles. The broth was good and rich in chicken flavor. I especially loved all the condiments they provided: tons of herbs, smashed Thai chilis, red chili slices, and the delicious sauce to dunk your chicken in. Everything they did is truly a representation of northern pho and how it is served in northern Vietnam. On another note, I also got their chicken salad and egg rolls. Both were also good and worth giving a try. Note: this place is located inside Crab Hut in Mira Mesa. You order on their website in advance. Edit: 11/23/25 - I ended up ordering this again because it was so good the first time. They went out of their way to provide me extra condiments when I mentioned it. Their service was above and beyond and this is matched by their excellent food. I ordered the whole chicken and shared it with my non-vietnamese friends and they all enjoyed it as well. This place is definitely worth a try!

It is so good. The broth is clean, clear, and deeply flavorful, with very tender and well seasoned chicken. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the condiments are spot on. The side vegetables are also very generous. We ordered a whole chicken portion and it easily fed the four of us, with leftover soup and chicken to enjoy again later. We already know we’ll be coming back, so glad we tried this, we loved it!

Better than my favorite pho ga in Westminster (pho 101). The broth is so good and i want to have it every week.

Crab Hut's new pop up concept from Sunday-Tuesday. Orders are easily placed for a reserved time & prepaid for. Pick up was quick & staff is friendly & welcoming. 3.5/5 decent bowl of chicken pho. Clean broth with the aroma of lime leaves. Plenty of broth and chicken but I expected more noodles for the price per bowl. I liked how they individually packaged each order with heat up instructions. The size of each egg rolls is small and mine was not that crispy but it tasted good with their extra garlicky nuoc cham.
