The best pho I’ve tasted so far! People there eat really fast. We felt a bit self-conscious for taking so long to finish our medium bowls, which felt more like large portions to us. Communication was a bit challenging, so we had to use Google Translate. Tip: Be quick when ordering.

Excellent place to taste your first pho. Order and pay first. You may find the place a bit crowded but do not worry because local eat fast. There is only 1 menu, and you pay for the size. Large for 60k, medium 55k, small for 50k. Reasonable price for pho with enormous meat.

Pho Gia Truyen Bat Dan is a great spot for a quick and delicious bowl of pho! The service is fast and friendly, and the pho options are simple but effective - just 3 options to choose from, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The pho itself is really tasty, with a rich and flavorful broth. If you're looking for a no-frills, get-in-get-out pho experience, Pho Gia Truyen Bat Dan is a solid choice!

Beef -Pho only. The taste is good but might be differed through out the day, early morning is the best. Self- service. You should go in 2 people, 1 to secure the seat and 1 to order. There are only 3 dishes in the menu( 50-70k, 10k for 4 fried thing) . For easy order: rare or welldone. We always choose well-done meat as the rare differs by day as well 😁. How to order: join the line, show the picture if you are foreigner-> pay money ( there is a sign board on the right wall which shows the latest price- price can be changed by year) -> wait for their serve. They will remember who order what to call you -> get the food and eat at the table. They do not have lime, only home-made vinegar with garlic and chilly.

Fantastic spot for my first Phở! The taste was absolutely delicious, and the prices are very affordable. It's not the cleanest place, but that’s pretty common for local spots in Hanoi—it adds to the authentic experience. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for real local flavor!

Heard so much about this place and it’s conveniently located around the corner from my hotel on Hang Ga so I had to go there for my first breakfast in Hanoi. I honestly don’t know if it’s typical for Hanoian to be “unfriendly” or just because this phở shop is so famous that the workers there don’t seem to care about their customers. Mind you, I was there a bit late in the morning so it wasn’t the breakfast rush, and there was NO line when I walked up, but the shop owners don’t even greet me or say anything to me (I definitely do not look like a local) to warn me about being careful with the hot bowl with overflowing broth as I have to carry it to a table that I had to find on my own. Meanwhile, they continue to chat with each other non-stop. Made me feel like I was intruding to their daily routine instead I’d a paying customer. Suffice it to say, I’d never return and instead going back to pho 10 Ly Quoc Su twice during my 1-week stay in Hanoi.

Not sure why this place is marked as 'temporarily closed', but don't be mistaken, it's definitely open! They open for a very short amount of time in the morning, and basically everything sells out by 10:00AM ish, so make sure you go there early! Probably some of the best pho I've had in Hanoi!

Excellent beef pho that is Michelin rated. Just order the beef pho from the counter and wait to pick up your bowl and find a seat to eat. They have a full combination, rare beef, or beef brisket variation.
