103 Restaurants Shine In The Inaugural Edition Of The MICHELIN Guide Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City, Including 4 MICHELIN Stars

"This phở shop has been around since 2008 and the owner Mr Hoang is justly proud of his clear beef broth that takes over 12 hours to make. Feel free to customise your beef noodle soup by ordering tendon, flank, minced beef or even a raw egg on the side. Every bowl comes with garnishes like coriander, basil, lime wedges, onions and bean sprouts. For drinks, try their monk fruit herbal tea made with over 10 different herbs." - The MICHELIN Guide

I've gone back one time since moldy meat and rude service.. years ago and yday ordered from uber eats thinking let's give them another try. Plus they had my pink jello coconut dessert drink. Reminded me why I dont like it. Pho soup was clear. They didn't even pack bean Sprouts, basil or lime. I asked for utensils and extra hoisin. Sent one spoon and one hoisin. Summer rolls were hard and had a slight smell. My dessert drink was the best thing!

I didn’t know that this was under a new management before I tried their pho again. I haven’t had it for so long! In my opinion, it is not as flavorful as before, something feel like it’s missing in the broth. We got the pho tai. Pro: Alot of meat though. Every bite of mine of lots of meat in it so that’s a plus. I might consider giving it a try again next time to see how it go. Also, restaurant have a lunch special . A drink, a pho and an appetizer rolls for $15.99 only! Perfect for lunch day! They have lots of space to sit!

*5/5 I'm thrilled to see the transformation of this Pho restaurant under its new owner/management! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a modernized decor that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The menu boasts a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the Pho. The rich, flavorful broth is simmered to perfection, and the generous portions of tender beef or chicken will leave you craving for more. What truly impresses me is the attention to detail and care that goes into each bowl. The fresh herbs, the perfectly cooked noodles, and the vibrant garnishes all come together to create a culinary masterpiece. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are passionate about the food they serve. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it an excellent value for the quality you receive. If you're a Pho lover like me or just looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and visit this hidden gem. The new owner/management has truly elevated the dining experience, and I can't wait to come back for more!

If you are looking for an authentic, delicious truly Asian experience, Pho Hoang's is the place to be. There were so many lovely things on the menu, it took me a while to choose. Finally, I decided to have the rice vermicelli, with chicken something I had not tried before. My dining companion chose the Pho with flank steak. The restaurant was not very busy so our food was delivered within a few minutes. Everything was served piping hot, well seasoned and the portions were quite generous. In fact, I was able to get a total of three meals out of my order. It was so tasty. I felt like I could eat the entire bowl in one sitting but that did not happen. The entire restaurant was immaculately clean, the staff extremely friendly and polite. The restrooms were spotless and well supplied. I'm looking forward to the next time we are in the area so I can try something else. In the meantime, I will see if the rice vermicelli dish is available at any of our local pho restaurants.

"5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm hooked on the pho here - it's absolutely delicious and has me coming back for more! But what really impressed me was the recent renovation. The new furniture looks fantastic and the place is spotless. The owners clearly care about their customers and are dedicated to providing a great experience. Even with the crowded, they did very good in setting up the seats for us. We didn’t have to wait long our pho orders arrived fast and flavorful. Can't wait to come back and slurp down another bowl of that amazing pho. Great service and food, highly recommend! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Google
We’ve been going to this place ever since they opened and the food is excellent. There are many Vietnamese noodle places but hard to find a good joint. If you want a good pho noodle soup, this is the best place in Centreville. If you want to experience pho and other dishes, pho Saigon at Chantilly is the place to go. Saigon has other tasty food for people who wants different food. My family recently went there and ordered bunch of other dishes and they were all excellent.

Google
Grabbed some lunch while I was there for the fish store next door. The egg rolls and the beef pho were soooooo good. I made mine super spicy with the Sriracha and chili oil they had.

Google
Old school pho joint. Stalk of clean chopsticks ready for use. Standard siracha and sweet hoisin sauce. No website. ..... all adds up to a true authentic classic pho place. And my favorite among all pho restaurants, the sweet chili paste sauce tastes so unique and different here. And with Bún Bò Huế (with blood cake) on weekends is just 'icing on the cake'. Now there is a moderate penalty being committed here which requires addressing. That is why-oh-why is shredded iceberg lettuce being used to stuff the spring/summer rolls - that's just a huge sell-out penalty here. Am told that you'd need to separately tell the server to use authentic asian herbs and leafy greens if you order the spring/summer rolls. I'm not a fan of being treated like a tourist so I certainly hope Pho Hoang just stops using shredded iceberg lettuce in their summer/spring rolls moving forward.

Yelp
If it's rainy or you're sick, pho is the answer. Wish they gave more and fresher basil. Amount of meat was generous, but quality was below par--seemed to be tougher than normal. I would've liked a few more chunks of tendon in my bowl. The broth and noodles were at the perfect temperature, though. Service is personal and quick. Our pho came out a few minutes after we ordered. I would come back just because of how friendly the staff are.

Yelp
I am sick with sore throat . Perfect place to visit . Ordered their beef pho. It is so good flavorful and tasty .Finished it all . My husband ordered pork vermicelli . He loved it . This dish is all time favorite dish . We love this place .

Yelp
That was some good pho. Probably the best I have had in NOVA. The pho portion was very generous with a lot of meat. Especially at $12.99 - definitely cheaper the. Most of the places around. Service was super fast and friendly. The place is super clean. I had the beef fried rice which as delicious as I remembered before Covid. The pho broth had a sweeter richer taste to it and wasn't just a dump of MSG.

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer of Pho Hoang for years. I usually take out and get Vermicelli with grilled pork or pho and garden rolls. They are consistently very good. I always see the same gentleman working in the dining room and cashier. He is very good. Ambiance has improved recently with the new light color wood tables and chairs. They take credit cards unlike the other very famous pho joint, which I appreciate because I don't carry cash.

Yelp
Pho hoang used to be my go to pho place until I moved. I did see that it's under a new management and I wanted to give it a try. I ordered the regular pho and egg roll and both were super yummy! The pho is still as good as I remember from before, the soup was rich and flavorful! I would 100% come back!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped by for late lunch. We ordered garden rolls and the large pho. Garden rolls were good! I liked that it had shrimp and pork. It was a little light on the noodle but overall pretty good. The pho was not our favorite. The noodles were slightly over cooked and broke apart too easily. Also the broth was noticeably fattier than other pho broths in the area. Everything else was fairly standard. Service was good and restaurant was clean.

Yelp
I had dinner with a friend here last night, and it was my first time here and only my second time having phở. With this in mind, I don't have much to compare it to, but I did thoroughly enjoy my visit! The inside was nice. A decent amount of seating and pretty open layout. Nothing particularly special but not bad. There were only a couple tables occupied when we came in and we were greeted quickly. They allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. Our server was attentive and the drinks and food came out quickly. Both my friend and I ordered the number "0". I got the regular size and extra noodles and my friend got the large size with extra noodles and an extra meat or two. I also got the lemonade soda. My order came with plenty of noodles, so I wound up not needing the extras. The broth was super flavorful and delicious, and the noodles were cooked well. They, of course, bring out the extras to add to your own taste (Sriracha, lime wedges, jalepeno slices, bean sprouts, and an herb I'm not able to identify), so I enjoyed the customization of the dish. The meat was tender and sliced super thin, which I like. The only semi-disappointing part was the lemonade soda - it tasted fine, but it was pretty gritty from whatever mix they use (i believe it was just lemonade mix in soda water). That's a pretty minor thing, though. Overall, this was a good spot! I can't really compare it to other phở places, but I really enjoyed what I had!

Yelp
I came here about a decade ago and it was bad. Meat was old. I came here today to try it again because Juk Story, the restaurant next door that I actually came for is closed on Monday. So I thought I would try Pho Hoang again. I order Pho and Bun Bo Hue to go. I ate the Bun Bo Hue right away when I got home. The meat tasted old and I got a lot of tendons more than meats. Soup broth was just okay. That's the only thing I ate all day. An hour and half later I had diarrhea around 2pm. Ughhhh. This restaurant is still bad as it was a decade ago!

Yelp
Under new management !!!!!! I have been coming back almost every single week for Pho because of the broth is flavorful, rich and balance of spices now and the quality of meat is top notch. I have been trying few dishes in the menu, all of them are delicious and the portions are generous. The service is quick and you don't need to ask for more. All utensils, bottles, and cup look cleaned and sanitized. What impressed me is they are crowded in the weekend but they seated our group very quickly and nice set up. If you're planning to go a big group, don't worry - this place has got you covered. They're accommodating and can handle large group with ease. Absolutely come back all the time.

Yelp
NEW OWNER!!!!!!!!!!! *forgot to add that last post* Came in 28 minutes before they closed and the owner took us in. I think this spot will be my regular go to pho place. Food is consistent and their service is great. Highly recommend. 10000000% better than pho sate and other pho places in Chantilly.

Yelp
Under new management July 2024. Food: Rich, flavorful pho with fresh ingredients and a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes. Must try Gầu vàng (side dish). Vị đậm đà. Service: Friendly, attentive staffs. Ambiance: Welcoming atmosphere with traditional decor. Location: Convenient, next to Kung Fu Tea. Parking: Ample parking available. Highly recommend for authentic Pho.

Yelp
Another great Pho restaurant in northern Virginia. A Clean establishment with many seatings & clean restrooms too. Also The Best Lunch Special in the area. Food is delicious and customer service is fast and efficient.

Jp K.

Yelp
The pho is always top! Go hungry, because the pho (even the small bowl, will fill you up! The spring and summer rolls are always top-notch too.

Yelp
Located right by Texas donuts. Food is quick, great price and delicious. I altered my selection a bit and came out perfect. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Desiree H.

Yelp
Perfect Pho. I've tried many in the area of Reston and Fairfax and this place has very authentic flavors. You hardly have to add any extra sauces to the broth as it is so flavorful. I recommend that you try it forreal!
google avatar

S S.

Yelp
Vermicelli bowls were so good! Pork and spring roll combo. So much delicious seasoning that you almost didn't need the fish dipping sauce, although that was delicious too. We will definitely be back. And Texas Donuts right next door make a great dessert if you are there for lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, lots of people there on a Monday for Pho.

Yelp
Excellent pho and speedy service! The restaurant is under new management, nicely decorated, and clean. Their pho is very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Parking is plentiful and free. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to fellow Yelpers!

Yelp
After moving to Centreville 10 years, my family and I still love this place. The service is great and if you visit them often, they do remember what you like. So far, their foods haven't disappointed me and I feel welcome when my family and I dine in there. 5 stars and highly recommended (Besides Pho Bo, also try their rice dishes. Steam Rice w/ Shanking Beef is great and my family also love Grilled Chicken over Rice.)
google avatar

Casey N.

Yelp
The food was very very good and the restaurant is kept very clean. The server was very nice, and the chili oil is to die for.
google avatar

Teresa L.

Yelp
Place was highly recommended by friends and food certainly did not disappoint. Spring rolls were very crispy and flavorful. Pho was one of the best we had although large seemed like a small size. Grilled chicken with rice vermicelli was amazing and very filling. Grilled pork chop over rice was great as well. Iced salty plum soda was good although it's an acquired taste. Pretty spacious restaurant. Service was quick. Would love to come back again.

Yelp
Good food and price. I love how there's a lot of condiments and utensils at the table!
google avatar

Yelp
Very good pho, very tasty. Very clean place, good service staff. Will come back again :)

Anddy ..

Yelp
Food is great but service sucks. I called 20 minutes before they closed and they hung up on me and I tried calling again and didn't even bother to answer. One other time they didn't even want me to serve to dine in because they had 49 minutes left to close so I had take out

Ann S.

Yelp
Since under new management, we decided to test it out. It's pretty good. We'll be back
google avatar

Yelp
It was pretty authentic Vietnamese noodle soup and I enjoyed most. Couple things for improvement - please clean the sauce and chopstick storage area. So sticky and food crumbs are all over. please, please clean the table with clean clothes. It's sticky and not an enjoyable odors on the table.
google avatar

Lili E.

Yelp
Very disappointed! I ordered bun Bo hue yesterday. The broth is salty and no flavor. The meat (both sliced beef and pork) have freezer-burned musty taste. It was awful! The pepper jar on the table is so sticky.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
My family and I used to eat out for Pho all the time but in the past 5-10 years, the prices have gone from $7.99 to prices like $13.95 for just a bowl and I don't think they're gonna stop rising any time soon. But this place is the jackpot for pho in Centreville. I was heading towards Pho Duong in Centreville and it was busy of course on a Saturday night, so I looked up another pho spot and thank God this was right down the street from here. This place was semi empty when my mum and I got here but then at 7pm, it started to flood with people. I was surprised when I saw the price for regular pho with eye of round-tendon-brisket-and flank was just $10! The eggrolls, I weren't too fond of, never liked them in general, but I guess they were good! The flavoring of the broth was like how I remembered, it's not too oily or fatty either, but I still wake up looking like a frog.

Carlos F.

Yelp
Pho was very tasty, and the staff was very friendly! I had the No.2 and my girlfriend had the No. 14 and we both enjoyed it a lot. Will be visiting again soon.

Brandi J.

Yelp
Consistently delicious! Our go to pho spot, we don't even have to say what we want anymore, the server knows our order. Service is great, food comes out fast. And it's the best pho broth around, we've tried almost every one in the area. They also don't berate you when you ask for Vietnamese egg rolls (delicious as well) like they do at Pho 75! I love that they have different size bowls too.
google avatar

Bobby S.

Yelp
I now have two babies and maybe a third will join us one day... but every kid requires 3-4 visits to eat pho per week or my wife and baby won't survive... she literally can't keep anything down but pho... it's magic! Because of our frequent visits... I've had to try everything else on the menu... and this week there was a pleasant surprise in the shrimp vermicelli! The shrimp was cooked to perfection... it was large and many! I peeled and dipped each one in a combo of hoisin and sriracha... absolutely delicious! Our favorite pho place still... :)
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
This is our new go-to pho and bun bo hue spot! Ever since moving to this area, we've been trying new restaurants weekly. My husband and I were craving for pho and after a few minutes of research via Yelp, off to Pho Hoang we went. Located in a strip mall off 29 in Centreville, Pho Hoang doesn't have any frills and a straightforward menu. Not only do they have several varieties and combinations of pho, they also serve bun bo hue (spicy noodle soup), vermicelli bowls, and rice plates. They also have nem nuong rolls (spring rolls with grilled pork), which are my favorite types of rolls. The broth is flavorful, the garnishes are plentiful, and the portions are generous. Service was friendly and efficient. We were in and out during our experiences here. I'd definitely consider ordering takeout from here as well!

Jason J.

Yelp
My regular most recommended when I get sick and need tlc pho broth place. The broth is solid, clean and flavorful. Service is fast and friendly. Place is clean and spacious. One of the few places that never disappoints me. (Except for when I forget to order before the close at 9pm ;)
google avatar

Meredith K.

Yelp
We used to really love this place but the past two times we've been there it's been absolutely terrible. The one time we thought maybe something was just odd that day and still went back but it was still bad compared to all the other pho in the area. We ordered just two bowls or their regular pho each time. Broth is bland, meat was tough .. just super disappointing . The second time we went back the meal was so disappointing we went to have a second lunch after paying for this one.
google avatar

Leinani S.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite pho place in Northern Virginia. The ambiance isn't much, but the place is clean, the service is friendly and fast and the pho is out of this world delicious and super affordable. If you needed further evidence of excellence, take a look around, most of the clientele are Vietnamese, which tells me they must be doing some good authentic food in the kitchen. If you love coffee, be sure to try a Vietnamese (iced or hot) coffee with condensed milk. So yummy! Even better, it's great for eating out on a budget!
google avatar

Mimi D.

Yelp
This place when you walk in, it looks closed. Coming inside is dark like as if they are saving electricity. I ordered a few things and nothing was good at all. The piece they charge for a bowl of noodles with four pieces wasn't it. Service was not the greatest, and very cheap on everything they give you. I don't ever mind paying for my food but this whole place totally I wouldn't recommend at all to anyone.

Hoang V.

Yelp
Please go to Pho 75 nearby, they just opened and is the same like the one in falls church. Do not eat at this place. Very very bad pho any every thing else Not recommended bleah
google avatar

Roxanne O.

Yelp
Hot pho soup on a cold day. Food came out quickly. Egg rolls were pretty standard and everyone really enjoyed the wings. I like that there were so many different variations of toppings for the pho so you can get what you want without having to pay for additional meats.
google avatar

Peter S.

Yelp
This my go-to spot when I'm at home. Their menu is not as big or diverse as pho duong (down the street) but I like their pho broth better. On a good day, I give this place 5star. Holla if u hear me
google avatar

Jonathan Y.

Yelp
Love this place. Their pho and bun bo hue are always consistent and so flavorful. This is my go-to place for pho when I'm hungover lol
google avatar

Frances S.

Yelp
Nothing special but also nothing lacking. Just your standard hole in the wall pho place. Compared to a lot of places like this it's menu was pretty small but they did that small amount well.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Favorite pho place around. I always get the #1 large and am always satisfied. I come hungry and leave happy. Their pho bro is savory and always in point. The eggs rolls are usually crispy and freshly made.
google avatar

Helena K.

Yelp
Food: the moment you get near the restaurant, i can smell pho immediately which is good. We ordered pho and spring rolls. Pho was decent, soup base was alright. They do give good amount of meat. The spring rolls was alright. Service: they so rushing. We just sat down haven't have time to look at the menu and they ask for order. We ask for few minutes the waitress walk away and other come. We didnt take like 20 mins to decide but they constantly taking turn come and get order. We were there less than 5 mins and we been ask like more than 5 times. I got little annoying so we just order whatever on menu get it fast so they can stop coming. If you near and want pho its not bad place but it not a great place either. Mediocre
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
keep your receipts. this place will steal your money and conduct credit card fraud. they added an extra $6 to my credit card. never ever going here again.
google avatar

Ang K.

Yelp
I was seriously craving pho when I decided to try out this place with my mom. The service was okay and food came out quickly. I didn't feel that it was overly good or special, but my mom preferred this place over my regular spot. It does seem more spacious and better ventilated with folks coming in consistently.
google avatar

Suwanit T.

Yelp
Their ice coffee is good. I ordered shrimp pho in chicken broth, they give a certain amount of shrimps but the broth is a lit too sweet for me i think. Service good
google avatar

Lhynette C. L.

Yelp
We have finally found a really legit viet pho place! Hidden in Centerville, in a pretty dated shopping center - pho Duong is easily missed but once you've tried their signature pho dishes, summer and fried rolls...you'll be back for more! The broth is amazingly clean, Fresh and always very tasty!!! The meat, and veggies that it comes with us always crispy and fresh. Even when we get take out, the noodles don't get soggy at all like the other phone places. This place is also always crowded so go during the weekday or order take out!
google avatar

Yelp
2030 and decided for a late bowl of soup! I enjoy they are open till 2200. Pho Large number one with extra meat balls comes to about $11.00. $2.00 extra but helps to meet their $10.00 minimum to use my card. I love their broth and has me returning for the last year of visiting. Costumer service is right to the point.
