Google
A nice place that gives you a fine dining feel at an affordable price. The food was good but the brisket in the Pho was a bit dry. Ambiance was quite and sober.

Google
Ordered from UberEats and there was a cockroach crawling around in my bowl! Noticed it when I was picking out some questionable-looking raw meat, I’m glad I didn’t pour in the broth and eat it. So gross!!!

Google
I got the Dac Biet pho, the broth was very good, rich and flavorful, but the beef was very very dry, not many pieces of tripe. For the price, I’d come again for a quick, casual, decent meal, but it’s not the best of the best Vietnamese food.

Cameron

Google
Got the Chicken Pho, which had a good amount of chicken in it. The broth was also solid, with a good amount of bean sprouts, basil, and all the other toppings. I also liked that they had multiple sizes, the large was more than enough, honestly a small would have been perfect too. Place could use some updates, but service was extremely fast and nice. Overall, a good pho place go-to

Google
First time there and ordered pho - soup was lukewarm and meat had a stale taste. And carpet was dirty and looked like hasn’t been cleaned for years. Decoration and music was good and it seemed to be a good restaurant back in the old days, but don’t know how it came to like this.

Google
A great place to grab a bite in Coolidge! Reasonably priced and usually no wait. Always been delicious (pho, vermicelli, summer rolls). Would recommend.

Google
Hands down the most disappointing experiences I’ve had eating out in a long time. The server was as disinterested as it gets, never stopping to ask if we wanted something else during our meal or after our meal (just handed us the check and walked away) I’d be willing to ignore it if the food were good, but that was a huge let down too. The portion size was a joke- we got the curry tofu that had maybe two tablespoons of curry at best. Definitely won’t be coming back- very disappointing :(

Google
I order on Uber eats and I got the soup which I have in the past. I got the wonton soup and I was eating it and then I saw a bug in my soup. Not good

Yelp
Pho is very light and refreshing! I highly recommend going here for a quick eat or if you are feeling down. Eating their pho during the cold weather will boost your mood up. The soup is very light with lots of flavor. There is tons of meat to fill yourself up. Addition of lime and basil enhances the soup flavors. The staff is very nice and fast. They won't bother you. Restaurant is usually empty so getting a seat is very easy!

Yelp
Delightful Vietnamese restaurant in Coolidge Corner! There is metered street parking in front of the restaurant, and it is very close to the Coolidge Corner T stop. The inside of the restaurant felt cozy, and the waitstaff were courteous. There were a lot of options on the menu, but I had to go for the Rare Steak Pho ($13.50 for a large bowl). The broth was a little watery by itself, but it becomes very flavorful after you add all of the condiments and veggies. Would recommend whenever the pho craving hits!

Yelp
Was in town for work and found this very yummy place! Highly recommend going and checking this place out! My PHO was so good and rich and tasty! The crab ragoon was also so yummy. Very fast and quick service.

Yelp
Pho Lemongrass has become one of my new favorite spots to order Vietnamese food from. I usually order PL through Ubereats and it gets here right on time - however there was one time another driver had taken our order by mistake. I have tried a different array of items - eggrolls, Thai iced tea, summer rolls, pho bo vien, canh chua, and their vermicelli bowls. My boyfriend and I really enjoy their vermicelli bowls as they are filled with fresh herbs and bun. I love the marinade that they put on their meats and how some come with shrimp, meats, and egg rolls. Their eggrolls are probably one of the better ones in Boston. Perfectly crispy and not dry whatsoever. I also love how they come with the nuoc mam sauce. The Thai iced tea was the perfect color, creaminess, and ice level! Some places just don't make it quite right! I wouldn't really reorder the pho bo vien as the noodles harden during delivery (usually better to be eaten fresh). Canh chua was just okay - I think if I were to order this again, I would order the shrimp or the fish version. It definitely needed something to flavor the broth. It was also a bit too sweet for my liking. Overall, I do enjoy Pho Lemongrass, it's just knowing what you like and don't like! Remember to tip your driver!

Yelp
TLDR: tiki drinks galore and good food. Ok, so I got their version of the Pina Colada and it was awesome. My friend got a strawberry daiquiri and it was perfection. Foods pretty good too. Best part is that all the drinks are priced $9 or less. Boston has ruined me and those prices are incredible. I'd come here for drinks alone but the foods pretty solid too! Got the large pho which hit the right notes.

Oh M.

Yelp
Loved this place. Very friendly staff. I had 5 glass of wine with my pho. It came SUPER hot and was very flavorful! This is my go to when Im on the way out of town to the airport!

Sara L.

Yelp
Great pho but other things on the menu are just ok. Simple place. No frills. Quick service.

Alisa A.

Yelp
Very tasty, great service! We had curry and lemongrass duck, will definitely come back again!

Dick K.

Yelp
Curry chicken soup, excellent. Chicken was soft and tasty. Boiled potatoes in it I had small, perfect. Wife had chicken on a stick with good sauce soft chicken, excellent. Shared a paper thin rolled non fried appetizer. With peanut sauce very good. Had a different curry and vegetable and many shrimp dish. Savory. Had a Saigon bartender drink. Lots of fruit juice. Bill $55.

Yelp
Looks very much like a 90s restaurant that has not been updated but a warm bowl of pho sure hits the spot when it's cold! I got the satay pho bowl (forgot the full name) and the warmth and spiciness of the broth was so cozy, I finished all of it! The small bowl was the perfect size for one very hungry person - the large or XL bowls are good for 1.5 very hungry persons. Great prices too ($10-12 per bowl). Their crab rangoons were also delicious with a hearty filling that had imitation crab, cream cheese, and scallions. Their menu looks like there are a lot of interesting things to try, particularly in the drinks and desserts section. Not too busy inside with some light instrumental music in the background. Metered street parking.

Melanie L.

Yelp
Took a little while to be seated for lunch even though the dining room was not busy. I ordered the Mongolian stir fry with tofu and vermicelli. It was unremarkable: tofu was sauted, not fried, vermicelli was hot and tasty. Not much variety in vegetables. My partner ordered grilled pork bun. He said the sauce was pretty sweet, unusual for bun. However, there were generous portions of pork. Good service at the table. The ambiance /decor is outdated and tired. Probably will not return.

Yelp
Good place for Vietnamese/Asian food in Brookline. Quiet atmosphere inside the restaurant. They have a great selection of food items, though no Nime chow on the menu. Good selection of non alcoholic drinks for kids. Also would be good if they gave complimentary jasmine tea instead of making customers pay for the tea. For food, we got the lemongrass wings, curry chicken soup and soup chai. Both the soups were very good. Wings were Aok, didn't really have much flavor and the wings didn't look like wings. For entree, we got the Vietnamese satay pho which was somewhat spicy and very flavorful. Perfect dish for a cold winter evening. Also got the Mongolian chicken which was quite good. The beef and broccoli stir fry was disappointing. Didn't taste anything like what we expected and price was 18.50$, unsure why. Chicken fried rice is very good. Overall good experience. Would recommend coming here if you're in the mood for good Asian food.

Julia T.

Yelp
Ambiance very classy. I felt like I was at an Italian restaurant for a second lol the iced Vietnam coffee was delicious. The fruit smoothies were very very sweet, delicious but sweet so keep that in mind. The vermicelli Pattie's were interesting, it came with rice paper to wrap it like spring rolls which was fun. The chicken was delicious with it. The pho noodles were a bit thicker than I'm used to but it was good. The shrimp spring rolls were ok.

Xuan C.

Yelp
First time eating here with my family. Good location. Great ambiance The service was great. The food was authentic and tasty, especially the 'Pepper Soft Shell Crab' dish was delicious! It's definitely recommended.

Justina B.

Yelp
I'm definitely a fan, but there are some things I'd do differently. My order: Roti Quail, Thai iced tea. Note: I ordered on Door Dash. The Thai iced tea hit every spot imaginable. It was packaged with care (extra plastic bag around it). It was a nice portion, and really a textbook beverage. The roti quail was also flavourtown. I thought it was a little "wet" for something roasted, but i'm not complaining- it was still tasty. I'd eat here again, only it was a little messy. (not recommended to eat near a computer).

Adnan S.

Yelp
This is not the place to go to if you want actual Pho. There was a poorly cut up cucumber and tomato, overcooked noodles, and no jalapeños offered.

Karen O.

Yelp
We went because my bf wanted chicken pad thai. I ordered the shrimp with vermicelli. We would not go there again. My boyfriend said his pad thai was OK but was not a generous portion. My shrimp were easy peel but they were still in the shell and the vein part was not totally removed on some of them plus they were over cooked and tasted like the tank where they last lived. Plus there was a piece of food on the window that shone in the late afternoon sun. Not appetizing.

Dee L.

Yelp
I love this restaurant so much. There aren't too many Vietnamese restaurants nearby It's been around for decades and hasn't slipped a bit as far as I'm concerned. The owners must never sleep because I almost always see them there- handling the register, keeping things running smoothly, multitasking like it's their superpower. The vibe is serene and hospitable. Waitstaff and others are kind and adept professionals. The food is always cooked just right. I've never sat there wondering where my food is because the timing is very good too. I usually get summer rolls - such good peanut sauce- and a vermicelli bun dish, but my companions always enjoy their menu items very much, as well. Ok, I'm done gushing for now...big thanks to the Pho Lemongrass family for keeping their standards high and their customers happy

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Explain to me HOW this is $30 worth of food? I'm blown away. $3 to sub egg noodles. Cmon bro. I've never even written a review, this is crazy.

Sophia B.

Yelp
This place has been around for 22 years. It has its own old fashion touch, very clean and food is tasty. I am glad we discovered this place and we will be back again soon.

Lana D.

Yelp
I love Pho Lemongrass! When I'm in Boston I definitely stop by here for a bite. The ambiance is very nice inside and not like a typical Vietnamese restaurant. The service is always excellent when we are there - staff are super nice. Some items J recommend trying is of course the Pho and Vermicelli dishes. You can't go wrong with these staples!

Jacob P.

Yelp
Tried this spot on a Friday night and had a great experience. Staff was friendly and efficient. I've had pho in over 100 restaurants and this spot was comparable. The broth had great flavor and they clearly used good quality ingredients. I will say the extra large portion was on the smaller side of extra larges. They have a full bar which also is a plus. As someone who lives in the area I'll definitely be back.

Dennis P.

Yelp
Order pho large and portion was small. More rice noodle than slice beef and there wasn't that much rice noodle.

Brandi R.

Yelp
We love this authentic pho restaurant and the chicken pho is absolutely incredible! Our server is always smiling and happy to see us. Highly recommend!

Wu W.

Yelp
Portion size very small, price is higher than other price. Taste is so so. Not recommend it!

Sam C.

Yelp
Bad restaurant food at nice restaurant prices. Ambience is like a forgotten Soviet-era diner with a dash of funeral parlor.

Sophia X.

Yelp
This is one of the places I ordered delivery from when I was sick with covid. Their vermicelli was light yet filling, and a refreshing meal that was exactly what I needed when I wanted something healthy and not too heavy. The crispy bites of cucumber and spring rolls paired perfectly and the vermicelli was cooked just right. I'd recommend maybe giving a little bit more sauce, but it was flavorful and yummy nonetheless.

Mr. W.

Yelp
Worst grilled lemongrass beef vermicelli and fresh summer roll I've ever had. Vermicelli was 2/3's vermicelli. Never ordering from there again.

Jeff H.

Yelp
First time ordering from this restaurant. Wife and I wanted pho, and we were so excited for it. My wife opens one of the white cardboard boxes and out comes a cockroach and started crawling all over the box. So terrifying. The 1 star is for the good customer service after I called them to inform them of the incident. We got a refund, but we won't be ordering from them again! From reading reviews, looks like this is not the first time bugs have appeared in customer food!

Kadidjha T.

Yelp
I ordered crab ragoon and the beef pho with some Vietnamese coffee on the side. The best part about this meal was the coffee. The crab ragoon has no kind of crab in it at all not even imitation. I sent it back. And the pho was lacking in flavor. The coffee was perfect so that's why I gave 3 stars. Save your money if you want good pho

Kumar J.

Yelp
We went to this place on a Saturday morning. The staff was courteous, service was prompt too. Also, we got tables as it was pretty early in the morning (around 11). My friend ordered 'pho shrimp broth' and it was amazing. I ordered Lemongrass-chicken and it was fine too. I expected it to be little more spicy but I can't complain because I think the Vietnamese Food normally isn't as spicy anyways. Overall, it was a good experience.

Bianca L.

Yelp
For starters, me and my friend came here and saw a cockroach running around on the floor. The place is fairly empty and that speaks for itself. The pho was not at all impressive in any way. You're better off going somewhere else. Please do yourself that favor.

Evan S.

Yelp
I gave this review two stars. One for each cockroach I encountered during my meal. I've alway's loved this place, but this was my first meal back since the 2020 pandemic outbreak and wow has it gone downhill. I spent the first part of my meal shooing fruit flies from my drink, and once the food came the brown cockroaches also arrived, actually crawling on the table. This place needs to be shut down asap and fumigated. I've read other reviews here pointing out this issue, so obviously there is an infestation. I shutter to think what the kitchen looks like. Avoid.

Zoe T.

Yelp
The quality of food has gone down. Ordered some appetizers and the peanut sauce has gone sour, I taste a bit and the next day I had diarrhea. I know the restaurants are struggling these days but the chef shouldn't lower the standard try to save a few bucks and serve food or sauce that has gone bad.

Viona C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food here. The restaurant is pretty spacious here. Service is great here and the food comes out pretty quick. I ordered the pho dac biet. My friend ordered the pho with handmade fish balls and the grilled chicken with rice vermicelli and fish sauce. The pho dac biet was alright. The broth wasn't bad and there were plenty of noodles. My friend's pho with fishballs looked a little bland to me though but I might just be judging a book by its cover here. The highlight of this meal was the grilled chicken. The chicken was really juicy and moist inside but grilled perfectly on the outside! It was very flavorful and probably the best part of the meal. They gave a good amount of chicken as well. I honestly think this place is a little on the pricier side for pho. Would recommend it here if you're in the area. Not really that authentic but probably closer than all other places I've been to in Boston :\

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I have been eating the pho and pork kho to for years and I love it but tonight I ordered some door dash Bc I'm stuck inside sick and quarantined and I gotta say it really hit the spot. I got the steak pho and I could cry it was so delicious and magical. I would have emailed them to tell them but I couldn't find an email and I didn't want to bother calling them so I'm leaving this review.

Claire G.

Yelp
Not only is the food at lemongrass delicious, but the staff are incredibly friendly and the service is very fast! I always hit up Lemongrass when I'm home from college, and it was my high school haunt. Love it there :)

Carl M.

Yelp
I read some not so great reviews about this place and they were way off in my opinion. Service was fast, food was delicious, and large sizes were large. Pho satay and beef teriyaki was great.

Elissa F.

Yelp
Fresh food, great pho, kind staff, been coming here for years. Also reasonably priced & good service! I have brought many friends here who still go there. Also it's quiet with a casual atmosphere. Family friendly and when weather permits, outdoor dining.

Ming Y.

Yelp
TRIED: the Dac Biet pho w/ rice noodles! Pho Lemongrass has a formal restaurant vibe (think white tablecloths and cushiony gold seats), but you can come to dine casually. The noodles in the pho were a good consistency and the meat was tender-- not the best pho that I've ever had, but no complaints here! Reasonably priced, but other items on the menu can get super pricey.

Justine Y.

Yelp
Currently on the hunt for a good bowl of pho in the Boston area and this didn't do it for me. What we got: Pho with brisket/rare steak, spicy satay pho, regular pho, pepper chicken I actually quite enjoyed the pepper chicken, which was fried to a golden color with a good amount of salty and spiciness. It reminded me of Taiwanese basil fried chicken, which I love. Next, the pho. The pho wasn't terrible but the broth was a little on the bland side for me and there was barely any meat included. I probably had about 3 slices of rare steak (that was pretty tough and wasn't rare when given which is what I've seen at other places and then you let the hot broth cook the slices) with a tiny handful of brisket. The noodles stuck together and the entire bowl just looked kind of lackluster to me. The service was fine, no complaints in that department. However, I will try other places first. Note: I'm a little biased with pho places because I grew up going to Pho 88 in Drum hill and nothing has beat that for me so far.

D.J. A.

Yelp
The best Pho around, IMO. Quick service dining in or taking out. Reasonably priced. Clean.

Irina C.

Yelp
It's a good and clean place! Thanks guys for nice service Good noodles, great portion very clean!

Erin R.

Yelp
We had such a great night at this restaurant!! They have a great menu selection and very reasonably priced drinks -- 8.95 for cocktails which I thought was very good! The food came out super hot and everything was delicious. Our faves were the "ravioli" pan fried dumplings and the chicken lo mein! We love Coolidge corner and will come back for sure to try their other menu items.

Tom G.

Yelp
Middle-of-the-road Vietnamese place on Harvard St in Coolidge Corner. Good: huge space, easy to get a seat even on a Saturday night, solid variety of Vietnamese staples. Average: mixed drinks always feel watered down, food quality is hit-or-miss with pho broth leaning too salty and light on flavor. Prices are about what you'd expect. Bad: Service is brusque, food feels almost cookie-cutter Vietnamese takeout but in a restaurant setting so you pay higher prices.

David T.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars, I would. My wife and I walked and we're not greeted. We sat on the side looking at the menu and when I had a question, I went to go ask the host and the host literally did not acknowledge me and kept his eyes on his phone. When we were ready to order, my wife went up and literally pointed on the menu of what she wanted, placed the order, and got our order in about 15 minutes. Fast forward to when we get home, checked the food (should've checked before we left) and the order was wrong. My wife called and spoke to the gentlemen than ignored me when I was there. He told her she misunderstood the order and they will not give us our money back or give us the correct order. Horrible experience. I should've known when I first walked I, the establishment was a disgrace to vietnamese restaurants. It was disgusting and we should've walked out but we wanted to give them a chance since my wife and I were looking for a new pho spot because we just moved from Cali. The food that we brought home was was also a disgrace to Vietnamese food. If you are reading this (restaurant owners), you are a disgrace to Vietnamese people and Vietnamese food and should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you display your business and the way you treat your customers. No wonder no one asian has given you a 5 star. Good luck with the future of your restaurant. You're going to need it.

Josh Y.

Yelp
Been here plenty of times for lunch with friends, and finally write a review for it. Lemon Grass has a very good lunch menu. Very reasonable prices and good portions. I always liked the Bun, which has no buns. It was a vermicelli bowl. The grilled pork was always flavorful and tender, one of my favorite, and only $7.95! Made it a combo and still under $10!!! Amazing prices in Coolidge Corner.

Hitashi D.

Yelp
Went with a couple friends. Most of us ordered various pho dishes. I got the Xe Lua /火車頭 and it was quite underwhelming. The broth was bland and boring. Not much meat... actually very little meat and super thin at that. For the price (it's pricier here than anywhere else I've been to), I would expect much more. For less money and better pho, I'd go to Chinatown. Not my fave, but I'd recommend Pho Le over here any day. Overall, disappointing. The mediocre at best pho and out-of-date decor makes me never want to come back.

Julie I.

Yelp
Dealing with the highly irritable hostess was very unpleasant. It turned out that the connected phone app I was using to place the take-out order had closed unexpectedly during the ordering process so having never use this process before I thought the order did not go through especially since I received no confirmation. Therefore I placed an order again (not realizing the first order went through) and received confirmation the second time. When I arrived at the restaurant the hostess was very accusatory towards me even as I explained the situation. After a lot of back and forth and raised voices she picked up the phone and sorted out the situation with the third party company that manages the online orders and finally let me pay for my order. I got out of there as fast as I could. While this ordeal took much more time than I had on my parking meter I didn't complain or take my anger out on the hostess like the way she did to me. I came here to order food and did not expect to be served with a massive side of drama with my dinner. As a paying customer I would've liked not to be subjected to such a bad attitude especially when I was not directly at fault. I will not be returning to this establishment for this reason. I would rate this zero stars but the saving grace is the food. Aside from this aforementioned bad experience I would say that the food itself is well priced and the chef does a good job with the flavors and is generous with the portions. I would recommend the rice and grilled chicken dish.
