Pho Lucky, nestled in the heart of Detroit, offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience that delights the senses. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere is complemented by its delectable cuisine and noteworthy beverages. A standout drink is the coconut juicioso, which includes fresh coconut, adding a refreshing twist to the meal. Equally impressive is the Vietnamese iced coffee, known for its robust yet sweet flavor profile, striking a perfect balance that coffee enthusiasts will appreciate. The menu features a variety of traditional dishes, with pho being a highlight. This aromatic beef noodle soup, infused with spices like cinnamon, cloves, and star anise, embodies the essence of Vietnamese comfort food. Appetizers such as deep-fried spring rolls and shrimp-filled summer rolls provide delightful starters that prepare the palate for the main course. The ambiance at Pho Lucky is warm and inviting, reflecting the establishment’s commitment to providing a genuine dining experience. The decor, adorned with authentic Vietnamese art, adds to the restaurant’s charm, making it a welcoming spot for both newcomers and seasoned lovers of Vietnamese cuisine. In summary, Pho Lucky stands out as a must-visit destination in Detroit for those seeking flavorful dishes and exceptional beverages in a lively setting.

WOW am I glad I came here! Stopped in for dinner with the fam on a whim before a Red Wings game (arena is down the street), and boy was I glad I did. While the ambiance leaves a little to be desired, the food is absolutely top notch, with authentic pho, banh mi, and Vietnamese rice dishes. The ingredients are fresh and the broths are nourishing -- even my kids loved everything on the menu, including the summer rolls! Great place for a reasonably priced meal.

Google
This place has the best food. I absolutely love the lemon grass beef plate with the rice. The spring rolls are amazing. Just everything!! Service can be slow at times but the food truly makes up for it. The owner is nice too. We drive 40 mins just to eat here lol

Google
This place definitely became a favorite spot for me here in Detroit! The food was amazing, and service was very quick! You are able to seat yourself after they hand you the menus, and staff is very friendly. Restaurant atmosphere is very calm and scenic!

Google
Pho Lucky is a nice restaurant in Detroit’s downtown area. The noodle soup came in a good portion, and the toppings available were delicious. The service was ok and the ambiance created was warm and inviting. My main complaint however is the total lack of parking. I came here a few years ago, and then the business owned the lot behind the restaurant. This used to make stopping at Pho Lucky really convenient. However now they’ve sold it to one of the large parking companies, making accessing the building tricky and expensive if you can’t find a free space. So, I wouldn’t come here if there’s a big event at LCA.

Google

Google
I’ve eaten here many times and always return. The Pho is absolutely delicious and the serving size is quite large! I had the Banh Mi, also known as a Vietnamese Slider and I highly recommend trying it as an appetizer, as it too was delicious! Always very friendly service and you never have to wait long for your food. On my last visit the owner surprised me with freshly cooked beef, still on the bone that he uses for the Pho (no charge). The meat melted in my mouth. If you’re looking for authentic, not expensive, and amazing food this is the place to go! Pho Lucky deserves another five star review. The food and service continue to be amazing and I’m never been disappointed coming here. The owner always stops by the table to say hello and talk for a bit which is a nice touch. He’s genuinely a good guy and always pleasant to talk to. A must visit if you want good Vietnamese food! I wish you continued success in 2025!

Fun place. Good food. My partner [Celiac/Lupus] has difficulty finding safe options. This is one place we can always go. Thank you.

Yelp
I thought this place was great. The inside is very nice. The rolls were amazing and the pho was great too! I wish the broth had a little bit more flavor, but overall it was good. The service was fast as well and everyone was kind.

Yelp
Pho Lucky is one of the few places in Detroit to get decent pho. You get a filling bowl of noodles and meat with your pho. There are other authentic dishes to try from their appetizers and rice plates I think the quality has declined slightly from several years ago. I received more noodles and meat before, but that seems to be a problem at a lot of restaurants with the increase in the cost of food. Please refer to my photos from 2021 compared to 2024 to see the difference. Overall, it's a nice place for lunch in midtown. I like the ambiance and the service is friendly. There is free street parking available if you can find it along the restaurant and around the block.

Yelp
Amazing food!! Very large portion sizes. Very authentic pho with the tastiest and spiciest chili oil. Service was very friendly and food came out fast. I believe it was the owner walking around and mingling with customers. Nice decor and convenient spot downtown. Will be back next time we're in Detroit!

Yelp
Loved the decor here. Very traditional in many aspects, really added to the great Vietnamese vibe. Our food came quick and with great service. The broth was excellent in the phó, id definitely return.

Yelp
Pho Lucky is easily my go to spot for a nice cozy bowl of pho. They serve all the extra additions on the side so you could add as much or as little of anything that you would like. The staff is super friendly and the broth itself is very light and flavorful with noodles are tender and not overcooked. All around amazing

Yelp
This was the first pho place I've tried in Detroit and I'm in love! We went here before the concert because it's fairly close to Little Caesars Arena. The service was amazing here and upon entering, the owner chatted with us and was very friendly. The space was nicely decorated with Vietnamese decor. This was also the first Vietnamese restaurant I've been to that had a bar! I got the com suon which is pork chop served with rice, an egg, and pickled vegetables. My friend had pho chin which is pho with cooked beef. We both had an amazing experience and highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Came here last night with my fiancé and really enjoyed the food! We ordered the wings appetizer to share and I got the P1 pho as the main order with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The wings were made with fish sauce, so I wasn't sure how much I'd like it, but I actually enjoyed them a lot. The pho was incredible and the broth packed a ton of flavor. We were able to walk in without any reservations and were seated with no wait. This is definitely a great place to go on a cold night for a warm pho! It is right on Woodward close to the LCA, so you may have to search a bit for parking if it's a busy game night.

Yelp
Ended up finding this gem while attending a concert at the LCA. Located just three blocks from there and nearby parking lots, it was ideal to grab a meal before the concert. Although they have a somewhat limited menu they have several Pho options. The owner (Mr. Hung) was nice enough to come to our table and gave us a few suggestions on what to order. I asked him what was in the Yelp checkin offer (complimentary shot) and he explained it's a house-made concoction that is well received by many. I have to agree. Very tasty. The spring roll appetizer (2 to an order) I recommend. The dipping sauce was outstanding. My grill pork with vermicelli rice entree was excellent. Again, the accompanying sauce added an amazing flavor that really brought this dish together. The service was attentive on a busy evening. I definitely recommend this establishment if you're looking for a great pre-game/ concert place that won't disappoint.

Yelp
Ordered take out! Asked for instructions over the phone and they were so helpful! It's pretty inside and a convenient location.

Yelp
Located between Little Caesars Arena and MSU/Wayne State Campuses. Great for small or big groups. Service is super quick and friendly. The Pho is always delicious! Pho Prices are about $15 for regular and $17 for large. The regular is huge.

Yelp
Looking for a quick and convenient place to eat before the game or concert? Great Vietnamese food/Pho noodles restaurant - (location very close to LCA) Fresh food, friendly staff, reasonable price.

Yelp
I really like the pho tai chin. I enjoy it very much but the place needs a real cleaning is my only issue. So when I come here I sit at the bar to wait for my food to go. Delicious. Great for a warm up or if you have any congestion or cold. They have nice & friendly service . Must try.
google avatar

Andy D.

Yelp
Good food friendly and quick service. My family loved the Vietnamese sandwich and their pho. I ordered the marinated beef and spring rolls on a bed of vermicelli noodles which was pretty good. Probably would have been better had I eaten the food there, but I opted to order it as take out.
google avatar

Britane B.

Yelp
This food was good but the broth was just okay! I did t take any photos. I think they could add seasoning to the broth so it's a little more tasty.

Yvette T.

Yelp
OMG, this place has the best Thai food ever and I've been to a few, but none compares to this restaurant. Their summer rolls are to die for if you haven't tried them you're missing a treat
google avatar

Alexander T.

Yelp
Got the large pho dac biet. Good piping hot pho broth. Skinny noodles. Does the job for pho cravings. Also got the egg rolls were decent.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was great. Try the number 4 Pho! The boa mi appetizer was great too. They have TsingTao beer too!
google avatar

Yelp
The boss was helpful giving out the pick up orders and was very friendly. Restaurant was very busy at this time. Loved the generous proportions. Soup was packed separate in a plastic container. In a take out box were noodles, meat, peppers, mint, cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, and sauce. Meat was tender, broth was delicious, and ingredients taste fresh. Lovely hot soup meal on a cold day. ~12$ 10/10

Yelp
Fresh rolls w peanut sauce were delicious, cute atmosphere, good and quick service, pho was hot and fresh and perfectly soul warming!

Yelp
Visited over the weekend for lunch. We had not tried Vietnamese food in Detroit since we moved here but decided to try this place out. The restaurant was pretty big and there were only a few other tables taken besides ours when we were there. We ordered a pho and the rice vermicelli with grilled pork and an egg roll. The broth of the pho was pretty good and they gave a good portion size. The vermicelli was also good but i wished that there were more vegetables besides just the shredded lettuce. Overall it was pretty good and will come back again for my pho fix.

luisa R.

Yelp
Fresh and healthy. Ambiance is great. Service is okay too. But I wish they will tell you if what your ordering is a lot.

Yelp
Saw this restaurant while walking towards the QLine after a Tigers Game. It was my first time having Pho and I loved it! Excellent service and chill atmosphere.

Ms N.

Yelp
Delicious ! Was skeptical always am about my PHO but restaurant is highly rated on yelp. Placed a to go order, very organized and fast. Pho was great! Will definitely be back again to dine in. Good ratio of different ethnic groups dining in always a good sign.

Yelp
Nice ambience with solid pho and decent Vietnamese coffee. The service was also pretty good. Can't go wrong and it hits the spot!
google avatar

Yelp
It was amazing. Pho-sure. Delicious sides and the pho was pho-tastic. Fast service and clean bathrooms.

Yelp
Stopped by pho lucky. First time to visit and will for sure be back. Spoke with the owner and he told us the history of Pho. And also let us sample their coffee. Everything was delicious. And we got to watch the traffic on Woodward Ave. lots of fun people watching. Will return again and again.
google avatar

Yelp
I almost missed this little hole in the wall. I had a P2 with eye of round. The broth was spectacular! The price was just right. The Vietnamese coffee was perfect.
google avatar

Huri B.

Yelp
Can't say it is an authentic Vietnamese food. I ate papaya salad in many restaurants and this is the first time it came with chicken and the wings were really bad they smelled like fish my dad could not eat!
google avatar

Delvis L.

Yelp
Fast, Great tasting, and hot beef pho! I love eating here. Staff is nice, and the food is always great tasting.

Yelp
We looked up this location ahead of time and were super stoked that it was close to the house and had decent reviews. We ended up paying $35 for parking, which would have been worth it if we had even eaten here. We walked in, the guy at the register was super friendly and polite, handed us menus and told us to sit wherever we liked, so we chose a table near the window and sat down. Not even a minute after we sat down and started looking at the menu another employee came over and asked us to move to a different table, the table we chose was for a larger party (there were the same number of seats at our table as there were at every other available table). We got up and walked over to a table that seats 4 near the register, the employee followed us and said not to sit at that table either, then offered us a table that seats 4 in the middle of the dining area or a seat at the bar. I didn't want to sit in the middle of the room or at the bar, it's awkward, and said so. He then said they were super busy and they needed those tables available. There were at least 6 tables that seated 4 available in the dining room. I'm genuinely not sure what the issue was, but I put the menus down on the table, told him that was really rude and then left. Clearly they were not interested in serving us, so be it I guess, we'll drive our happy butts back out to the Novi location. Thankfully Bakersfield was just across the street, the customer service is phenomenal and nothing but good vibes even tho they're actually 'busy'.

Evelyn K.

Yelp
COCKROACHES- I had high hopes for this restaurant, but my experience was ruined by a serious hygiene issue. During our meal, we saw a cockroach crawl across our table. This is the picture after we killed it. When we informed the waitress, she casually mentioned that cockroaches are normal in Vietnam, where she came from. This response was shocking and completely unacceptable. Cleanliness should be a top priority in any restaurant, no matter where it's located, especially since we are getting service in AMERICA!? While the owner did cover our bill after we complained, it doesn't change the fact that this place has a serious cleanliness issue that needs to be addressed. Until then, I can't recommend dining here until they take pest control and customer concerns seriously!!!

Kayla N.

Yelp
Service was speedy, polite, efficiently ran business, quality of food delicious and ingredients fresh!

Carlysia C.

Yelp
Everything I've had from them has been amazing. The pho broth is delicious, they give you a big size portion of your food.
google avatar

Eric J.

Yelp
Great food at a good price! Quality ingredients that taste fresh. The atmosphere is hip but not stuffy. The service was quality and the servers were nice and helpful.

Ivianna F.

Yelp
Strongly don't recommend I placed a carry out order. Before leaving I went to the restroom, on the way out I noticed a HUGE roach. This restaurant isn't clean and spring rolls are soaked with grease never eating here again.
google avatar

Katy Z.

Yelp
Broth was tasty. They were a little stingy with the mint and Thai basil for the price but will order double meat next time!

M M.

Yelp
My FAVORITE Vietnamese restaurant of all time. The food is phenomenal. The owner is the kindest man you'll ever meet. I was having dinner with my mom, we got our usual (shrimp and veggie pho and shrimp summer rolls) the owner came by and gave us a Banh Mi on the house. It was spectacular. I can't recommend this place any higher xx

Josh V.

Yelp
Cool spot with solid, authentic Vietnamese food. Convenient location, perfect for a pre-game meal!
google avatar

Monica F.

Yelp
This is absolutely delicious and we would highly recommend We had pho, fresh coconut juice, spring rolls and banh mi Yummy

Danny O.

Yelp
Authentic. Great service. Friendly. Food was amazing!!! My name is Elmer Fudd I own a mansion and a yacht

B J.

Yelp
Really like the Pho but PLEASE stop using noodles made hours before hand. If you say this is authentic food. Also, give real sized pieces of tofu,
google avatar

Yelp
The food was delicious. The host was friendly. The atmosphere was nice. The location was convenient.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is a hidden gem, the staff is very friendly, the food is exceptionally reasonable when it comes to price and the quality is sublime. The place has a large seating area and some cool looking chairs. I'll have to go back and take some more pictures for next review.
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
I admit that this was a fallback before we went to a game at Little Caesar's Arena, but it's close to the arena and has vegan options, so why not. The server was very helpful in ensuring we'd get vegan options--vegan spring rolls, a vegan banh mi, and a large bowl of vegan pho. On a winter day, when you're dealing with a lingering cough, what could be better. The spring rolls came with a nice peanut sauce, and the banh mi was a tiny little sandwich that was surprisingly spicy. (If you're not a huge fan of spicy, maybe they can tone that down.) The large pho was huge. Even if we hadn't ordered sides, I don't think my boyfriend and I could have finished it between us. But it was amazingly delicious and soothing. If you're headed to an event at Little Caesars Arena, this is a great place for a pre-game meal. It's very inexpensive and probably better than the concessions.
google avatar

Debbie T.

Yelp
The Pho and the fried spring rolls were excellent. It is a fun atmosphere as well. Great view on to Woodward.
google avatar

Tess S.

Yelp
Lots of options for everything pho here, including a vegan option. The owner is very passionate if you get to meet him, talkative and personable. They have the super good traditional itty bitty banh mi, with options as well! Full bar if dranks are your thang. Parking is easy in their own lot behind the restaurant.
google avatar

Rebecca X.

Yelp
The SO and I were craving pho one day we picked the closest place to our building. I'm so glad we tried Pho Lucky. We got the summer roll which was nicely crisp and fresh. Then I got a regular pho and the SO got a large. The bowls are more expensive than I'm used to but I will say that the portions are huge. The broth is flavorful but definitely savory and a little peppery. I added a touch of hoisin to get a little bit more sweet which is how I prefer my pho broth. I got beef and tendon in my bowl. The beef was slightly overcooked but the tendons were perfect. All in all, this is a very convenient location and the food was good so I will definitely be back.

Allison H.

Yelp
Service was great. Pho was delicious. Nice music and not crowded. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Rose S.

Yelp
So I read the reviews before I came here, so I had mixed expectations on what to really find when I came here for dinner. I love Pho, and when I was offered the chance to come try out Pho Lucky, I was happy to oblige. Great location...close to Little Caesars Arena and the Q-Line, and I will praise the hidden gem which is the dedicated parking lot behind the restaurant. Parking is prime downtown, so the fact they have their own parking space is awesome. Walking in, it's spacious, cozy and the staff is really friendly. The owner came by our table a few times to talk to my friends who come here every Monday. He even offered us tickets to the Piston game which was about to start, as he had 3 spare tickets! Who does that?! So we all know the good markings of a Pho restaurant is how well the broth stands alone before adding anything to it. I ordered the #4 and it was flavorful, and hearty. I read some bad reviews, and I have to say that I didn't have the experience. Our toppings were fresh and the thai basil smelled amazing. I also ordered Summer Spring Rolls and Thai Iced Coffee. Both were delicious, but I have to say, the coffee was VERY strong. Good thing though, I had to go home and bake 4 dozen Christmas cookies. It helped wake me right up! It's a very casual dining experience, good location, great staff and good price point. I have to say that it lived up to most of the reviews and I'll definitely be back!
