"This mini pho empire is helping to spread the joy of Vietnamese noodle soups throughout the region with a trio of locations outside of Madison Heights. The original opened in 2012 in Redford and has since spawned sibling outposts in Novi and Midtown Detroit. Want to crush a massive bowl of pho solo? Test the limits with Pho Lucky’s pho challenge — a monstrous bowl teeming with two pounds of meat and two pounds of noodles. The broth is optional. Pho Lucky currently offers dine-in and outdoor seating as well as curbside carryout." - Eater Staff, Dorothy Hernandez

Nothing warms you up on a cold winter day like hot soup and Pho Lucky delivered. We hadn't had Pho in some time so a quick google search lead us here. The outside of the building is unassuming and the inside is simple. Please don't let that fool you, the pho here is great. I had a bowl of the pho ga and the wife had the vegetarian pho, both were excellent! Good sized, great flavor, and perfectly priced. We had no complaints. Hats off to the cooks. I also had a Vietnamese iced coffee with milk and the wife a coconut juice. Those too were perfect. Our waiter was fast and friendly and brought our food with a promptness. There were two other couples and countless take out orders on our visit. I would highly recommend and will be back!

I have had Pho Lucky on my bucket list for years. Especially your place. When I entered my waitress, Lynn ( I might have spelled it wrong)she was the most amazing bright, beautiful soul ever. She helped me to make my decisions and I ordered the P3 and it was out of this world! The environment and ambience was completely wonderful. A small but very comforting place. The broth was beyond delicious. They had all of the side fixings fresh as ever. I must say that I was so delighted with the authenticity and deliciousness of this place. I would recommend it and will recommend it to everybody that I can Speak to. Thank you for a delicious experience And most of all thank you to the chef/cook and the waitress that made my experience so delightful.

Went here for dinner with a friend. Small establishment but is very calm and nice. Service was great and on point. Food was great except the meatballs, I wouldn’t recommend those. The summer rolls are amazing! The regular bowl of phǒ is just enough food! Yes you can take your food home with you and they even give a courtesy plastic bag for it so it doesn’t spill.

Google
Today was my first time tasting Vietnamese food and my first time at this restaurant since I moved to Detroit; it was delicious! Great service, and the girl who attended us was so kind the whole time. Definitely the place will be one of my favorite and regular spots for a good meal.

Nicholas Kang

Google
Grilled pork chop plate & summer rolls were tasty! Overall, food was solid and servers were friendly!

Google
By far, one of the best places to eat Vietnamese cuisine. The noodles are fresh. The sauces are perfect consistency,. It feels like your back in Vietnam. The vegetables are fresh. The pho meat is packed with flavor. If you’re ever looking to feel like you’re at “home.” this is definitely one of the best places to take your empty stomach and leave happy and full. It leaves you to wonder what else is good on their menu ……. I can honestly say I think you should try this.

Yummy pho. Good prices 😁 Big bowl

Google
We love eating here! Authentic Vietnamese fare of pho and noodle bowls. The menu is limited, there's nothing fancy, but the food is awesome. This is one of those "hole in the wall" places that have the best flavors.

Oh M.

Yelp
I love this place! The broth is amazing. Was there yesterday and had TWO BOWLS WITH EXTRA MEAT AND NOODLES! I left looking pregnant, went again today. Wanted to do two bowls again but was completely stuffed from the first! I always come here when in town. Friendly staff!

Shawn G.

Yelp
I was a visitor in Detroit for a few months and had the opportunity to find this hidden gem. Although I wouldn't say it was the nicest restaurant, i didn't have any issues on the cleanliness. The food was outstanding, I especially loved the miniature banh mi. I probably would give it five stars if it was a better location and had more of an ambiance in the restaurant itself. Having said that definitely worth a visit if you like Vietnamese food.

Danielle D.

Yelp
The Pho Lucky restaurant chain never disappoints. For $13, the deal is too good. The meat is always good, & the size of the regular bowl is more than enough for 1 person. I asked for extra green onion & cilantro & they followed through! The store is small but it's clean & the people who work there are very nice.

Colleen L.

Yelp
This restaurant epitomizes the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover." Unassuming exterior and dining room did not scream "Amazing Vietnamese Food will be found here", but man what a gem! Vegetarian Pho was insanely good! The flavors were complex and layered even before anything was added in. Definitely not like the vegetarian dishwater you get in many places. Enthusiastically recommend.

Nate P.

Yelp
Okay, listen people... I've been to many, many, many Pho restaurants. I'm telling you this one is by far is the best. Hands down the best. It is located in a run down part of town and the building is not much to talk about but the pho will not disappoint you my friends. The broth is one of mastery. The creator is a genius.

Jess B.

Yelp
The staff was great! When I asked if the vermicelli bowl's dressing had fish sauce in it , they immediately suggested a substitute (the peanut sauce pictured) and when I later ordered a Banh Mi, without even having to ask, the waitress asked me if I wanted to remove the Mayo and Pate. Very accommodating to vegans & delicious too!

Jackson C.

Yelp
Outstanding! I am blown away by the flavor of their pho broth--I had the one with cooked beef and since it was carry out, all of the herbs, sprouts, meat and veggies come in a container. The summer and spring rolls were both delicious too. I can eat this at least once or twice a week and not feel heavy or guilty. Love it! While the building on the outside looks a lil uninviting, the inside is clean and everyone was kind...give them a try!

Emily F.

Yelp
I order from this place like once a week. Their summer rolls hit the spot and are great value for the price. Their shrimp is fresh and their tofu is always golden brown.

Jas R.

Yelp
Food is always 10/10, service is always amazing and she is the sweetest girl, small, comfortable, quiet atmosphere

Camryn P.

Yelp
Amazing pho. Great staff. I only get plain pho broth and it's still delicious. The service there is wonderful and they are so kind. Pick up only takes 5-15 minutes. I CRAVE pho from this place only!! 100% recommend Pho Lucky !!

Linda P.

Yelp
I stop by today for the first time and I ordered the rare steak pho takeout. As soon as I walked in the door that beautiful aroma of this classic dish surround your senses. I was super hungry so I'm sure that helped. When I got home I unpacked my order. I arranged everything in a large bowl and layered in all of the additions that you would expect such as bean sprouts, onions, noodles, fresh lime. First I tasted just the broth and oh my. How delicious. Maybe the best I've ever had. I really enjoyed my food and I can't wait to go back. The inside is clean and modest. My takeout was ready in maybe five minutes, very fast. Very friendly folks here. The outside of the building doesn't look like much but don't be fooled. Inside is a delicious experience waiting for you of some of the best tasting pho around metro Detroit. I highly recommend it.

Gilbert M.

Yelp
Great food! Good customer service! Nice ambiance! Friendly staff and quick service. Good menu selection.

John H.

Yelp
One of the original and dependable pho spots. Located in a residential part of town with a side parking lot. It is a hole in the wall but the broth keeps me coming back. Sadly its years are starting to show. Also, I liked how they used to put the meat on a separate plate so you could cook it in the broth to the doneness you prefer. The spring rolls taste homemade, but I prefer a greater ratio of meat filling and pork over chicken. However, it still is better than most in the area.

Patrick V.

Yelp
Use to go here all the time since it was the only pho place close to Downriver. I still recommend this place. It is a small place and has not changed but the soup is still amazing. The only downfall is that they do not have wide variety of pho but still got the good stuff.

Burcu S.

Yelp
Pho real this place is so good. My fiancé and I got the Steak round pho and it was so delicious! The broth feels like a hug it's so cozy and yummy. The steak was super good. Best Pho in Detroit.

Malaina H.

Yelp
My new favorite Pho. Soup is absolutely amazing. Cluster service is even better. Highly recommended!

Maya C.

Yelp
I really enjoy pho' and this place never disappoints. It's a "hole in the wall" for sure, but ok with me and lots of other patrons who enjoy a deep broth, fresh veggies and many meat options. I always go for the veggie pho' and it is so satisfying! I never want to get to the bottom of the bowl, so I order the large, ha ha. Not the humongous, but large and it is more than enough, just love the broth! They provide a generous amounts bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes and cilantro on the side! Other notables: condiments are my jam!! They have got them. The hoisin sauce, Chili sauce and Sriracha are all at the table, along with chopsticks, napkins and straws. I also really enjoy their spring rolls and the sauce that come with it. I added a bit of chili sauce and it was so good!! I visit here often and will continue. The service is consistent and acceptable.

Yohana I.

Yelp
Staff was friendly. Food was delicious. I had a great experience here. I will come back for more. I love the pho, it had a really flavorful broth. Also, the broken rice with pork chop tasted perfect.

Nicholas H.

Yelp
Literally the best Pho spot in Metro Detroit. From the outside it appears you're on the edge of the hood and maybe shouldn't be here, but you 100% should be! The space is small but intimate, the pho was rich, and the small plates were well crafted. This place is no frills, real, authentic and simply Devine.

Josh G.

Yelp
Food is always top tier above and beyond anything you expect walking up to the place. Then you order a bunch of stuff and obviously the soup and you settle in for some of the best pho In Michigan

C'est M.

Yelp
I have been trying to go here for the past couple of years but no matter what something always came up and I didn't get the chance. Until today. I am really glad I made it happen cuz this small place has BIG flavour! The spring rolls were the best I have ever eaten! I don't know what's in there, but Pho Lucky is my new favourite for appetizers ! I have only 4 stars because although I would love to try more of their dishes, their menu is sparse. Oh, btw I just found out that "pho" means soup.... So I guess that's why they don't have many entrees. Wish they did tho!!

Erik J.

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim, after spying this little tucked-away restaurant after getting side-tracked onto Joy Road a few days ago. Well, I wasn't disappointed. First time having Pho soup, was a great experience and loved the fresh vegetables on the side, including the mint!

MacKenzie G.

Yelp
I've been eating at this place for years and they have never disappointed. One of my family members always gets takeout but I had the pleasure of going in and ordering takeout myself the other day. The service there was so great and now I understand why the quality of their food is so good. I still have yet to dine out there but I really hope to in the near future. Every single time I've ordered from here I've gotten the summer rolls and they are so so phenomenal. I highly recommend.

Garo D.

Yelp
Best Pho I really like to come here and enjoy some nice soup and eggrolls, the servers are really nice and the place has a nice atmosphere I really wanna try the pho challenge one day.

John C.

Yelp
Incredible noodles! I bypass all their great food and order the summer rolls and the spring rolls. They are to die for! Service is very nice and efficient. The food here is first rate Vietnamese food. You feel in touch with the Far East once you visit Pho Lucky! Great food!! Go there!

Ricky G.

Yelp
First time here and the second Vietnamese restaurant that I've been to and it is amazing. I ended up getting the spring rolls and the Pho P3 with the rare eye round steak and cooked beef. I was a little uncertain at first with the rare beef but it was out of this world. The flavor was amazing and I like mine a little spicy and they gave me the chili sauce to doctor it up according to my spice desire. I will definitely be back for more.

Barbara D.

Yelp
Vietnamese comfort food great little place for pho. i had the pho with rare beef and it was delicious. all the subtle spices and flavors. highly recommend.

Marla N.

Yelp
The street appeal at this restaurant is a zero but once you walk in it is a gem. The service and the food are out of this world!

C D.

Yelp
This is not Pho. The soup is like dishwater. Please people if you want real Pho go to Madison Hts. Any restaurant is better than this place. Yuck.

YuMi L.

Yelp
Pho broth was good. You can tell that this is not by msg. and broth was hot. Wish the ingredients can be a bit more with that price.

Kat W.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place a lot more since I really enjoy supporting mom and pop places and I think that maybe I should have tried the pho instead. I ordered bun thit nuong to go and it was just alright. The vegetables (lettuce) didn't seem very fresh, and the grilled pork was drowning in butter and the noodles were short. Again, I wanted to like this place more, but I just had an OK meal.

Saran S.

Yelp
The hidden Gem, one would never go in here with out someones recommendation. this is a hole in the wall kind of place but amazing food. Their Menu is simple only with 6 options but variations of these main dishes. they have Vegetarian broth with tofu option for the Pho and vermicelli can also be modified the same way. it tastes very good. They serve in regular size (which is more than enough for an above average appetite person) and large and Humongous size(challenge bowl . They don't have vegetarian spring roll :( for the size and appearance form outside they have maintained this place really well. the dishes and tables are clean. the staff is nice just doing their business (they don't smile, but don't take it personal lol) one small thing the carrot they used did not taste fresh. this is one of best Vietnamese option around. I would visit here often.

Ed S.

Yelp
This is a little hole in the wall place and I missed the sign and had to turn around and go back. Boy am I glad I did. As the other reviews mention, the inside is showing a little age but who cares? It's a very clean little place run by what I assume is a fairly young couple. They were very warm, welcoming and attentive. I came at an odd time, being the middle of the afternoon, and when I came in I was the only customer there but before I left there were another four tables each receiving the same warm attention that I was. There was also a steady stream of carry out as well. It looked to be well packaged and was ready when the person arrived for pickup. I had the rare steak pho and it was delicious. The additions were the standard fare with everything being fresh and crunchy. The broth, as with any pho, is where the distinction lies. This was definitely one of the best. Rich and flavorful. I don't get to Detroit often but when I do I will certainly be back here.

Vince G.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. They have the best pho in the area, and it's consistently good every time I've come here. The ingredients taste fresh and the broth is awesome. The wait staff is friendly too. I highly recommend you try them out.

River L.

Yelp
If you enjoy Vietnamese this is an okay place. My wife loves it. I tried it once and didn't enjoy it.

Dia D.

Yelp
We didn't get the pho here which was probably a mistake since pho is in their name. They have a large selection of pho and a few bun (vermicelli) and com (rice) dishes. The goi cuon (fresh summer rolls) were good. The sauce for the Bun and the Com dishes wasn't very flavorful. Maybe needed more fish sauce? The house made hot sauce was very good. People were friendly and food arrived quickly. Very small parking lot.

Angie W.

Yelp
This place doesn't look like much but it is so good! Friendly staff and great service! The Pho soup is my favorite! My bf likes the bowl. The flavors are so rich you can tell the love that goes into making some great food! Give it a try!

Lexi G.

Yelp
Although the outside doesn't look like much, when you first walk in the smell of fresh yummy food is overwhelming good and the dining room is comfy and clean. I ordered bahn mi (is it bahn or banh? Please comment if you know cause I've seen it both ways at different places) and the pho tai with sach, both were extremely fresh and delicious! Very friendly and fast service, even though I live about thirty minutes away I'll definitely be visiting again. Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other Vietnamese cuisine in the area which always seems to be a little pricey. I don't leave reviews often but this one definitely deserved some praise, keep up the great work!

Karen H.

Yelp
First of all, I don't remember her name, but I liked our waitress. Service here makes you feel very comfortable! The prices are also really great! I got beef pho and ate from it three times for somewhere around $7, $8. Definitely order the spring rolls; they're even better than the bowls, in my opinion. Super fresh and the peanut sauce is REALLY tasty; doesn't only taste like peanut butter. I will definitely be back for that alone. One con was that the noodles in the pho were in a big block, which made it seem like they were thrown in without care (no big deal, though). Overall, good, but not outstanding.

Kelly C.

Yelp
My favorite place to visit at home when I need a feel good meal! Carry out was fast and fresh. Love the P4

Rose M.

Yelp
Best soup when you're sick The best pho in my area I would eat it every day if I could

Maggie H.

Yelp
I have been craving good pho since moving back to Michigan from Maryland. It still has yet to be satisfied! AY and I came here for dinner because of the high Yelp ratings. The server was friendly and service was quick. The pho was okay- there's tons of noodles and I liked the cilantro they put in. The broth wasn't super complex (you can't taste the spices they put in there). My favorite thing was their autumn roll though! It's a spring roll inside of a summer roll and typically comes with their plum/ chili sauce but I had asked for the peanut dipping sauce instead. I loved the textural difference between the crunch of the spring roll and the soft summer roll skin. So tasty!

P J.

Yelp
Pho Lucky is a small Vietnamese restaurant just to the east of Telegraph RD. It has a very simple menu which I consider a benefit. The Pho was good. The ingredients provided were fresh, but the bone broth was not as flavorful as some of the other Vietnamese Restaurants I have been to. It is a good place to stop by for a meal.

Kandace W.

Yelp
How is this Pho Ga so tasty?? I mean, it's just Chicken noodle soup- but this spot gave me just want I wanted. All of the accruements helped me make a tasty bowl after feeling under the weather all day. The spring rolls were also a wonderful addition. Thanks Pho Lucky!!

Mike L.

Yelp
The magic of the Novi Pho Lucky...in Redford. If you're looking for delicious Pho and summer rolls look no further than Pho Lucky. This place is a no muss no fuss establishment that gets you your food in a friendly and warm atmosphere at lightning fast speeds. Perfect if you're making a quick stop for lunch. But really, try the summer rolls, in my opinion, I think the summer rolls they serve at the Redford/Novi Pho Lucky locations are the freshest in Metro Detroit. It'll be the best $3.50 you've ever spent. Your stomach will thank me later.

Andrea E.

Yelp
They keep it simple here, with a very limited menu of really well done stuff. I usually get a vermicelli bowl with pork and a spring roll, but the house pho is really good too. When you dine in they bring out a plate of fixin's like cilantro, jalapenos, bean sprouts, etc. which I like because I'm all about the fixin's when I'm eating anything The size of the bowl of pho that gets your picture on the wall if you finish it is crazy, and I'd just like to take a moment to express my respect for the champions. You are all heroes.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Good for some quick Vietnamese Pho I liked the beef Pho here, that was tasty and as good as any place I have been. I am never impressed with any place that doesn't make their hot chili sauce (like Danang in Clawson) to add to the peanut sauce, once I have gone hot, it's hard to go back to the standard and boring peanut sauce for the fresh springs rolls. I love that I can get some good Pho close to my office in Dearborn though.

Lylian D.

Yelp
Consistently good pho and always quick with takeout orders. Our go to order is always P1 no tripe. I have another viet restaurant closer to me, but I would rather drive a few extra miles to guarantee a good bowl of pho. I also like their goi cuon and cha gio. They use to have avocado smoothies, but lately are not making these. It's also nice that they are close to Park N Shop so it's nice being able to pick up some asian groceries while waiting for the order.

Davaughn M.

Yelp
First time trying Vietnamese food, the food was good but the coffee was delicious. Nice small family ran business, would recommend.

Megan H.

Yelp
Small cozy restaurant. Great place to eat in the winter with it's warm food and yummy appetizers! Wonderful family who opened this restaurant; I'm glad to see the restaurant expanding to different locations. A little bit pricey with some menu items but it does taste very good!
