Jai Ho Indian Galli Kitchen Opening at Krog Street Market, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A previous addition to Krog Street’s food hall, the Vietnamese stall Pho Nam opened in October 2018 and offered six pho options, a handful of vermicelli noodle bowls, and a selection of banh mi sandwiches and spring rolls." - Beth McKibben

Google
Solid spot for a comforting Vietnamese meal. My friends who live right across the street highly recommended this place. We stopped in for lunch, and I liked the no-frills, classic Viet diner vibes. The menu had all the usual comforts like spring rolls, pho, and rice plates. We went for a specialty beef pho and a grilled pork rice combo plate, and both arrived in under 10 minutes. Tasted exactly the way I want them to. Nothing flashy, just hearty, satisfying Vietnamese comfort food done right.

Was passing through this place during a trip, and felt hungry so I stopped by here for lunch. Nice opening hours, immediately got a seat, menu very comprehensible, and very friendly staff. The moment I walked in I knew I didn’t regret this— the smell of authentic Pho was on point. I ordered #8 (steak, flank, and tripe). Goodness, the broth is money worth. I know there are many different levels of tenderness and softness people prefer to have their pho cooked, and this was definitely a bit on the harder side (though, if you want a more tender feel just put your meat towards the bottom and let heat do the work). Also the pricing is excellent, I got a small size and felt pretty full after that, though someone I was eating with got the large and there’s just a one dollar difference but the large is large size indeed. If you wander into that plaza, I betcha you won’t regret walking in to here to eat.

Google
Craving for Asian food and found this Vietnamese restaurant while driving around. Ordered their beef noodles soup. Guess it should be a safe bet since they cannot go wrong on this commonly available dish. Taste was good. Soup is fragrant and hot. I typically don’t add more bean sprouts or mint leaves but some like to add these. 3 bowls of beef noodles soup cost US$47.31 after taxes but before tips. Service was very basic. Got seated. Given the menu. Place order. Served the food. Start eating. After for bill. Pay and be on our way.

Friends live close to this plaza allowing me to frequent this place on a regular basis. It serves some of the best pho broth on this side of the bay. It has a thick beef flavor added with extra onions, scallions, herbs, and spices for an authentic dish. Noodles area bit on the soft side from simmering too long in boiling water but I do not care too much about that. Their Banh Mi sandwiches are very tasty too. That is one treat you would not want to miss out on. Service has been very attentive, all the servers willingly provide the right cuts of meat when some may be from the wrong order or missing altogether.

Google
Pho was amazing! So was the service. I received my food no more than 5 minutes after I ordered.

Google
The best pho i have eaten in ca! Pho is authentic and beef stew is super yummy 😋

Google
An iconic staple my go-to is #62🍽 Can't recommend this place enough!! Ive gone since I was a kid; they've always been really good to everyone and kept their food quality, considering how the world keeps changing.

Google
The photo says everything. Btw, this is when we’re going to leave, no takeover because why bother. We were right after a dental visit and SUPER hungry. So I tried my best to complete the noodles. Chickens are very dry and taste like from yesterday. The bun is the worst bun I have ever had in my entire life in a restaurant. The bread feels like stayed on a counter like 3 days after baking. Super unsatisfied. Either I’m treated differently or that’s my unlucky day. Please avoid.

Yelp
Cool neon sign inside! Parking lot within the Civic Square Shopping Mall. Super fast and friendly service. They'll ask you if you're ready to order as soon as you sit down, but don't feel stressed. Complimentary tea available. The pho comes with a side of bean sprouts, jalapeños, mint and lime. I enjoyed a small number 6 with a bit of hoisin sauce, sprouts, mint and lime. The spring rolls were delicious as well. After finished eating, go to the front to pay.

Yelp
After my car broke down, I called AAA for a tow and had about an hour to spare, so I decided to grab some food nearby. I chose this place for a quick bite but opted not to order their pho; instead, I went for a Bánh Mì sandwich and a spring roll. Unfortunately, both items were rather lackluster. The Bánh Mì came with a packet of mayonnaise that reminded me of what you'd get at a baseball game--fine for a hotdog, but out of place here. The pork in the sandwich was very dry and overcooked, with too few bean sprouts and not enough jalapeño peppers to add the necessary kick. As for the spring rolls, they were mostly filled with vermicelli and came with lettuce that wasn't fresh. The peanut sauce was too thick and lacked the right consistency. When the tow truck driver called to say they were on their way, I quickly wrapped up and left. Based on this experience, I probably won't be back. The building is beautiful. Parking is good. I think with a little work they can make this place popular but the food has to improve.

Yelp
3.5 stars! I come here a lot with my bf since this is one of his go to spots in sunnyvale I've tried a lot of their dishes and I think their best is their com tams (rice plates). We also always get their pork rolls and they're pretty good! Love the service here the workers are always nice and cheerful

Yelp
Got the Bo Kho (Beef Stew with Baguette). The taste was decent, a bit flat tasting, not too memorable but they gave a hefty amount of meat that I couldn't finish in one meal. The baguette was tough and dry despite it being reheated just before serving. The Pho was also quite bland.

Yelp
stumbled on this place on DoorDash so glad I decided to order from here. First time trying this place. i ordered the bahn mi grilled pork and the beef stew with white rice. firstly the bahn was disappointing the bread was on the soggy side I like it more on the crunchy side. Secondly the veggies were cut in oddly like the ratio to carrots and cumbersome were just off because usually they cut them in match sticks form and not sliced carrots way too much cilantro for me.The meat was okay all in all I will never order bahn mi from here again and just stick the beef stew. now on to the beef stew the flavor is good way too much carrots in my opinion but the beef was good the only complaint I have for the beef though it was hard to pull apart should be easier to pull apart

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 15 years it's a little slice of childhood. It shows someone's taken great care as littles changed and the quality is great. I took my 2 kids one on the spectrum and the other 6. Food comes out fast so waiting for hungry kids isn't a problem. Happy to come back in the future!

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch during the weekend. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet and Spring Rolls. The pho broth was watered down and it was lukewarm! It really bothers me when I'm served just warm soup! The Spring Rolls were not fresh and the noodles inside were overcooked! It was a disappointing experience! Will not be returning here!

Yelp
I've eaten at this restaurant off and on for many years and my most recent visit was very positive. Fast, tasted good, and straight forward along with a good amount of elbow room. I have been going to Pho Lovers more in the last decade but recently I feel like the value is questionable considering what you get/and the crowded/bad parking situation there. So as far as I am concerned, giving Pho Nam the chance to be my #1 for a few years. Check it out y'all.

Yelp
Service there was horrible. I ordered an item for $14.97 total. The merchant asked if I had any cash, I said no. I was there to pick up only. I had no idea that there was a $20 minimum for credit/debit cards. The merchant rudely said to me that it's better that whoever ordered the food should have told you that. I find that so disrespectful.

Yelp
Fast service. Authentic tasting food. Average inside. Nothing fancy. Plenty of seating. I ordered the vermicelli with pork and shrimp. Pork was flavorful.
google avatar

Janey L.

Yelp
After 20 years, we always come back to this pho place because the pho is still the best. The soup is not sweet like other restaurants, not overpriced and they have my favorite crunchy skirt flank which no other place around here has. Service is always good too.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
Mediocre vermicelli bowl with very small shrimp. Overall lackluster and weak, for the amount paid it was a poor value that left me wanting more of something more substantial. No credit card accepted unless the bill is over $20.00.

Yelp
WOOO HOT. We went to Pho Nam and we got some bussing pho. It came out so hot, and it was fresh and tasty. The pho was super refreshing with tender and fatty meat. There is also really flavorful noodles and they were cooked perfectly. The broth is what makes the pho amazing. It is so tasty and with a little bit of like it has a complexity of flavors that both fills you up and tastes phenomenal and even more salty. The Thai tea with boba was also pretty good. The Thai tea itself was amazinggg with loads do tea flavor and sweetness, but the boba pearls were stale and tasted off. The service and ambiance were both average but the waiters were cute and were attentive. OVERALL Pho Nam is definitely a really good pho joint and if you are in the mood this will definitely satisfy your cravings.

Yelp
I like the atmosphere of this place, to the point of where architects should study this place because the interior is so comforting. I literally come here and watch my shows and I feel comfortable eating alone here . An introverts dream! Which is why this will be my top 3 pho places in the bay area. The pho is good and the prices are decent.

Yelp
Living in southern Cal, we have some good Pho spots (very few). This is by far the best Pho in California. Great taste, portions and price. That's why I always come here when I come visit.

Yelp
Revisited this Pho place again yesterday . As usual , the pho was pretty good but the beef was way over cooked . I ordered half raw half well done beef noodle but it turn out to be all over cooked . The egg roll was not fresh deep fried because the skin was not crispy and even soft .
google avatar

Ayesha A.

Yelp
The parking is quite tight in a small plaza. It is next to a small grocery store. The pho and chicken rice plate were alright. I thought it could be more flavorful.

Yelp
Food and service is great. The owner is very kind and professional. They take orders fast and the food comes out fast. I asked for a to go box for my sandwich and the owner brought me extra mayo packets in a small dish. The little things like that matters. Also, red bean smoothie is delicious!! Pho broth is the best. Wow!

Yelp
first time in sj. it was exactly what i needed after a long, cold day. big bowl of steaming hot pho with lots of protein and flavorful brother plus a side of egg rolls. quick service with good portions for $19. they don't like accepting card tho, so i recommended coming w some cash to avoid atm fees if your total is less than $20

Yelp
It's a nice pho restaurant. The pho is nice and it's not expensive. Great for some simple lunch or dinner.

Yelp
The service was fast, faster then usual. Me and my son got the pork sandwich, large all beef pho, and spring rolls. The restaurant was clean. The waiters were very nice and kind. This place is awaome.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped by for a quick dinner to Pho Nam. He and his family have been coming here for years, and he said I had to try their pho. Immediately entering, we were greeted welcoming and warmly by the staff. We were quickly seated and in less than 10 minutes after ordering, our food arrived. The food was so delicious, the broth was tasty and plenty of meat is given. I highly recommend this place! Great staff, cozy atmosphere, and authentic pho taste!

Yelp
Worst Pho ever!!!! The broth was horrible!! Very disappointed!!!! Will not be returning to this restaurant!!!!!

Yelp
This review is long overdue... I've been coming here with my family for over 25 years, and Pho Nam has stayed beautifully consistent through that whole time. Their broth is authentic and flavorful, and I have tried SO many different pho places to try and top this one, and I simply have not found another. Service is fast and I find that the servers are always super nice, but don't expect to be waited on like in American restaurants. It's a fast-casual noodle house, and Asian restaurants don't check on you throughout your meal like some people expect, so just know what you're getting into before leaving a bad review about service. My go-to order for the last 20 years is a #12 (rare steak and tripe) and a strawberry smoothie. Their tripe is always tender and abundant, and the rare steak is bomb! Don't sleep on Pho Nam!!

Yelp
I came with 3 other friends at around 2 PM. 3 of us ordered variations of beef pho and 1 of us ordered a chicken pho. Plates of lemon wedges, Thai basil, and bean sprouts were provided with the pho, all of which were served fairly quickly as is the case for most pho places. All utensils, small dishes, stack of napkins, and sauces were available within reach on our table. All of the beef was quite tender, and some were quite fatty. My biggest complaint was there was a lot of MSG in the broth, and I still felt it around dinner time many hours later. Tables and women's restroom felt clean. Not sure I would come back because of the MSG, but I heard this place is priced slightly better than others, so we'll see.

Roxy M.

Yelp
Food was cold upon receiving it. Ordered a vermicelli bowl w/pork. Meat was tough because it was so cold. No one checked the quality of the food with me or asked if I'd like water. Total rang up to 19.69 and didn't realise they only took credit card of it was $20 or more. The reviews seem deceiving. Poor service, cold, hard food. Not coming back and don't recommend it. It was 12:30pm and they weren't slammed for lunch or anything.

Yelp
Delicious beef stew with warm crispy and fluffy roll. Spring roll is also very good. Would love to try their Bahn Mi next time.

Yelp
I've had quite a bit of pho in the bay, and this one was definitely one that stood out. It wasn't for anything particularly unique or different; they just made really good pho, for a really good price. Plus, the staff is friendly and seating arrangement is spacious, making for an overall comfortable experience. I ordered the chicken pho and condensed milk iced coffee, and it all came out within a few minutes. They served the coffee fresh--as in, it was still brewing/dripping as it came. It's a fun way to have the coffee presented, and it doesn't come any fresher. My pho came with a nice mix of dark and breast meat, and the broth was clean. I've had chicken pho in the past with broths that were either flavorless or had strange aftertastes, but Pho Nam had a clear, aromatic base that went down so nicely. The serving was a nice size, and it all came out to under $15 (with tax and tip, under $20). For a full portion and a drink! Perhaps I'm too scarred by East Bay prices, but this was one of the cheaper meals I've had. I recommend Pho Nam if you're in the area and looking for a nice place to sit with good food that won't break the bank.

Yelp
Wasn't feeling to good so decided to order pho since it always makes me feel better. This place is near my job so decided to try it out. Ordered it as take out, got to the restaurant and had great customer service. As soon as I got to work, first thing I tried was the broth, which was absolutely delicious! The variety of levels and flavors were all there. Went to unbox the noodles and chicken. Started off good but as soon as I reached in to grab the noodles things took a turn. The noodles began to crumble and come off in chunks. the noodles were definitely over cooked and place too hot in the box so I couldn't even get an even bite since the noodle pieces were to small to grab. Will try this place perhaps at another occasion
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite pho place. This is the place to go if you're looking for a good warm noodle soup. I usually get one of the pho dishes, but today I decided to get the beef stew with noodles. Very good and delicious and service is fast.
google avatar

Victor C.

Yelp
Solid pho spot in Sunnyvale, portions are pretty good for the price, just be aware that it's cash only. Super spacious and not crowded restaurant, which makes it ideal for large groups, and the service is really fast for pho - we had a party of 32, and everyone got their food within 10 mins. I got the 10 - steak and fatty brisket, nice and tasty but not as flavorful as some of the more notable spots in South Bay (Pho Hanoi, Pho Kim Long, etc.), noodles are on the softer side too so keep that in mind if you like more firm/al dente noodles.
google avatar

Ethan E.

Yelp
Fast and delicious. Thought I'd be let to an afternoon meeting, but Pho Nam got me served quickly with a generous helping at a good price. The atmosphere is fun, too. And he giant roof is it's signature.
google avatar

Sonia M.

Yelp
Very genuine pho place, it's been here for a long time and survived covid. Always Attracted by the high slope roof of the building. Been here for a few times before the pandemic and always liked their pho and Vietnamese coffee. Things have gotten smaller but the pho was still good.
google avatar

Dora L.

Yelp
My go-to place for pho in the Bay Area! Best price, convenience, and quality. First of all, food comes out *lightning* fast. I know most pho restaurants are decently fast, but this is on a different level. We ordered a Thai iced tea with some water, which also came out instantly. The tea was a bit too sweet for me, but the rich coconut milk flavor is really nice, and something that most places miss when preparing thai iced tea. Aside from the convenience, the flavor and quality of the pho broth is what keeps me coming back over the years. I ordered the chicken pho and my boyfriend ordered the combo pho, and you can taste and feel the richness of the broth in both. I've never found any other restaurant with this quality broth for this price. The restaurant is family-owned and filled with local Vietnamese people! Worth a try - there's a very good chance you'll become a regular!
google avatar

Yelp
I was craving pho and found this place on a random Google search. I really wanted to expand my options and know what is and isn't good pho in the South Bay. My first impression was that this must've been an old Johnny Rocket or something, because the interior looked a lot like those retro 1950s inspired diners. The interior looked a bit dated, and the ambiance was uninviting. The food was just ok. I ordered the #1 and a spring roll. The broth tasted watered down. The beef was just ok. I love a good spring roll, but I was left disappointed because the rolls were fresh, but the peanut sauce was so watery. The prices are good, but I wouldn't pay more for it. I don't think I'd come back.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been to Pho Nam for over ten years. I think they have gone quite down hill over the past 2-3 years. I love their fried rolls but that might be about it. Yesterday a friend of mine and I ordered Pho. He got the rare steak and I got the seafood. The shrimp definitely tasted like those cocktail shrimp pre-cooked then tossed in my Pho. Was not good at all. They opened up for outdoor seating within the last 2 weeks-- we decided to eat outside. The table was wiped down but I realized all their silverware was still shoved in the contain on the table. Grossed me out since everyone can just touch it and we are in the middle of a pandemic. They did not have any plastic use items, all the sriracha, plum sauce and salt/pepper was so grimy. It was clearly not cleaned. I know by going out I'm taking a risk. What truly put me over the top is we asked for additional fried rolls and the guy who brought it to us wasn't wearing a mask. Like come on. That's above and beyond not cool. The rating of the food: solid 3/5 The rating of the outdoor experience during a global pandemic: 1/5 I know this is a small business and I want to rate on the food, but please wear a mask... perhaps provide clean silverware for each customer and put the condiments on a plate for each customer? You could ask first if they want any so you don't waste it.

Yelp
We've had Pho Nam many times in the last decade of being in the Bay Area - it's definitely one of our regular spots whenever we're in the mood for some pho. This place was great for take-out during COVID - saved us from dinner disasters many times! Dining in ever since re-opening also hasn't been too bad - will continue visiting!

Yelp
Great Phoa Soup. With the weather getting cold and chilly outside. Now is a good time for a Phoa Down! Sooooooo many places. Found Phoa Nam to be pretty good. Wife enjoyed the broth and noodles. Everything nice and clean. Soup is fresh and hot!! Favorite waiter is Tam.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am Vietnamese so I'm kind of a pho snob. This was the worst pho I've had. Did not hit the spot at all. So bland that hoisin sauce couldn't save it. Also sooo greasy. Thank you for reading!!
google avatar

Salvador G.

Yelp
This is the first time at this place. The service was fast and accurate. The food was at a good temperature and delicious. I love the options of lean Pho Something I had not seen before. At the same time it had other great appetizers and drinks. I would definitely bring back friends and family to enjoy this wonderful place.
google avatar

Yelp
CASH ONLY After coming to these Vietnamese restaurants It's getting more and more clear to me why companies like Macdonalds and Burger King have failed miserably in that country. You can great quality food as fast as you get those fast food and at very low cost. Getting back to my review of this restaurant this is one of the great locations for a quick lunch if you live in the neighborhood. They have a big space and they can accommodate you with good service even at peak hours. The menu offer a good selection of Vietnamese food and almost everything is priced under $10. The staff always have a smile on and they are super fast in getting your order. The food usually takes 5 min to get ready. Just remember to bring cash with you. ....... ....... .......

Yelp
This has been one of my go-to pho spots since I was little and it never disappoints. I usually either get a rare steak pho or any of their rice plates, and sometimes I'll get spring rolls to share. It's affordable, portions are great, and there are tons of options. *Pre-pandemic there are a lot of seating options outside and take out right now is a simple process. It is located in a larger shopping complex so parking is easy too.
google avatar

Adam G.

Yelp
The people who say that this is the best Pho in the Bay Area: 1. Have memories from childhood of a place that are no longer accurate 2. Work for the restaurant 3. Are the kind of friends whose taste in food absolutely cannot be trusted. Not trying to be mean, but the food was well below average or outright bad: 1. Fried egg rolls dry as the desert 2. Thai iced tea that tasted "funny" to three different people 3. Pho that was ok and raised the grade, but still didn't taste fresh like other much better restaurants 4. Fresh rolls that were not too fresh and were well below average With so many great pho options, there is no reason to have a disappointing meal here. What is most disappointing are the outstanding reviews for this place. Sure - taste is relative. But in this case, not all tastes are created equal.
google avatar

Ruben R.

Yelp
They have delicious food, fast service with a smile, been in business for years, the decor is simple, but welcoming...great place for the family...economical and friendly. Go with the family and ENJOY delicious Pho. I also order the Iced coffee with condense milk.

Yelp
Nice restaurant but food just ok. I'm bum lover and I tried bum all the time. Their bum just ok to me. First, the fish sauce is too light. Second, there's no other sauces such as chili and soy sauce.

Yelp
This is the best pho I have ever had in my life in the state of California It's as close to NAM as you'll get And the price is write and the owner is nice My girlfriend and I love this place and will be back The pho is on fire ! FIRE!
google avatar

Yelp
Did a pick up order. Saw some people eating inside when I went to get it but it was mainly empty. When I said I was going to pay by card, they said cash only. I told them I asked on the phone and was told card was fine. I did not like them trying to pull a fast one on me and rejecting credit card when they clearly said they accepted it. Anyways, they took my card. Food was as expected (which is above average). This is the usual pho restaurant we go to since it's nearby and pretty solid. I'll go back but they need to be honest about what payment methods they take.

Yelp
Pho Nam is one of my favorite Pho restaurants here in South Bay. The soup from this restaurant serves with authentic broth taste. No MSG and does not taste salty. With COVID-19 situation, customer can only sit outside of restaurant if decided to dine in. The spring roll is always great to start as appetizer. Having spring rolls and small size of chicken pho soup definitely fill me up quickly. Definitely will try other dishes next time!
