The essential Vietnamese pho restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The Pho Saigon 8 brand, which has been in Las Vegas for more than a decade, has three locations where diners can choose from more than 15 different types of pho. The Chinatown location’s Strip-adjacent position and extended hours make it the perfect spot for post-midnight pho and dishes from the late-night menu such as grilled wild boar, fried butter quail, and frog leg porridge." - Janna Karel

In preparation for a trip to Vietnam we stopped here to sample some of the cuisine. After checking with our server we ordered noodle dishes. She kindly pointed out our options and offered suggestions for our meal. The food and beverages did not disappoint. My #70 combo was delicious. The ingredients were so fresh tasting. I'll admit I'm not a bean sprout fan, never have been, but the ones in my meal really changed my mind! Definitely on my return list.

Hoan Truong

Google
The pricing for this pho seem cheaper than several other pho shops i went to in vegas. It a typical vietnamese mom and pop shop. It has that small business vibe. The soup base was good. I had vegan pho and tofu spring roll. My wife had number 18 pho. Overall we were pretty satisfies with our order.

Google
Solid five star Vietnamese grub. Consistently satisfying. This is a no frills, traditional and authentic spot. The decor is nice enough and the people are chill. They never disappoint even if nothing there changes. They serve their appetizers and soups with all the traditional fixings that not every Vietnamese place serves. This means the egg rolls come with big fresh lettuce wraps and picked daikon and carrot along with mint and cilantro, and fish sauce. That’s how Vietnamese egg rolls should come. Same with the soup, it comes with all the good stuff - Thai basil, mint, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapeño. So good! You get what you go there for, excellent food without the frills. A good vibe with cool people coming in to eat. If you don’t know Vietnamese food, learn it and start here. If you do know it, come here and avoid disappointment from lesser places.

Buttercup BunBun

Service is amazing. Friendly smiles and very attentive. this is one of my favorite restaurants.

Google
I love this place so much! I always get the bun and add fried tofu. Food always comes out fast and is fresh and delicious. It's a casual atmosphere and close to a big gym, so totally a place you can go after a workout.

Not Your Business

Google
Love goin to this spot when I can't go to Pho Kim Long . Convenient, fast service even when it is busy, and tasty selections. This spot has been here for a while now and the menu/ food selection has undergone many changes (mostly positive) over this time. They have generous portions especially for the price (this only applies to their pho and appetizers though since I have never gotten other things but I wouldnt past me if it applies to all their food options). Overall, I have never had an unpleasant experience when dining here. On My last visit I ordered #16 and could not have been more satisfied.

Google
This is such a lovely place. We had chicken dumplings, spring rolls, wonton soup noodles and tofu soup noodles. Everything was wonderful. I would definitely return.

Google
This is one of my favorite places and I appreciate how attentive and close the staff is. They ask you need anything and they are very friendly and I love the owners. Been here a couples times and I’m never let down!

Yelp
This has been my go-to Pho spot for 13 years. They have several locations but this particular one is still my favorite. The flavor of the broth is super deep and always consistent. They are generous with the amount of meat they give you and I've never had a bad experience. The restaurant itself is typical for a pho place. It's casual and the food comes out fast. I've seen some people complain about the service but I've never really minded it. You need to wave down your server if you need something but nobody is rude. There are several locations in town but this one is definitely the best!

Yelp
So after having Pho Hair at the other joint (on the other side of the freeway), I've decided to try this spot. I must admit, they have a great location, right by the freeway, it's like the first left turn and bam, you're there! This was on a Sunday mid-afternoon (closer to 4pm) I figured it's not crowded (it wasn't) As soon as I walked in, I was seated at the booth close to the front door. Lucky Table 13 I believe. First thing I've noticed as soon as I've sat down, the wood looking booth is NOT comfortable, at all. I rather be on those padded chairs. The decors are cool looking but function wise it's not. I suppose it's easy to clean though. There's quite a few pages on the menu, first up are the appetizers, normally I skip the spring roll but given this is a new spot I thought I try it out at least once. Then onto the list of Pho, they have a LOT of varieties. I wish they list the usual Pho combo so I don't have to check each one. I picked #18 as that's as close to the combo as it gets. First up are the spring rolls, looks like it's pre-made and its been sitting for a bit. It's a bit dry for my taste, I always add a bit hot sauce to the peanut sauce that comes with. Both tasted OK and I waited for the pho to get here first as I prefer to sip some soup after biting into the spring rolls. Now onto the Pho itself, also note there's only one size you can order. The bowl itself looks like a medium but I suppose this is a large. My first taste into the soup was not good, felt a bit over seasoned. Mixing it up a bit later is slightly better but the broth taste isn't doing it for me. On a brighter note, the bean sprouts are fresh and they gave me extra limes (Usually I only use one lime so the other one went into my water) Everything else (meat, noodles, etc.) are good it's too bad I'm not a fan of the broth and that's the main thing I look for a good pho. Usually I would finish the entire bowl (soup included) but I can't do it. As for service, it was OK, I didn't have to wait long for anything, although a refill of my water would had been nice. And there's a slight wait when I'm ready to pay. Overall this was a so-so visit, I'm not sure I'll be back though, I may have to go back to Pho Hair!

Yelp
The reviews alone almost stopped us from coming here. But it was the only restaurant open at like 10 in the morning, and we were coming in from an early morning flight from the Bay Area, and my son was having stomach issues. We needed soup ASAP As anticipated, the restaurant was nearly empty, and we were seated right away. We ordered the fried eggrolls, a pork chop rice plate, and a large bowl of pho to share. Exactly what we wanted, something clean to eat a little earlier in the morning and it definitely helped my son and his stomach issues. He loved the soup and the noodles and he was so happy. Everything we had was great, and as expected. Thank you!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Pho Tai on a cold night from this place. It may not be the absolute best place in town, but it is always consistently good (like 8.5 out of 10) kind of like how Sushi Mon is for Japanese food. I like it so much that even now during the summer, sometimes I'll turn my A/C down a little more so I get cold just so I have a reason to get some more pho from here lol!

Yelp
Flavors are always consistent here. What they lack in decor they make up in their delicious food. They're polite and quick with service. Try their Crispy Egg Roll, Spring Roll, Shaken Beef, Cornish Game Hen and Egg Noodles and of course their Pho'. So good.

Yelp
I've been here several times, and it's consistently excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and insanely fast; you're never waiting long, even during the busiest times. One of the best parts is the variety on the menu--they offer both vegan and vegetarian options, which is a huge plus for those with dietary preferences. Their vegan pho is delicious, with rich, flavorful broth and plenty of fresh veggies as well as fried tofu. Quick and clean atmosphere and fast service make this a perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pho!

Monique S.

Yelp
I literally don't care what any of the lower reviews say this place has the best Vietnamese food in town. I've tried all the Pho Saigon locations and this one is always consistent, the food is always fresh and hot! My mouth is burning as I'm typing this. They seat you quickly and they drop off the food quickly. I come here for the fried egg rolls and the egg noodle wonton soup. Yes, pho is good but whoever is making this wonton soup in the back is cookin'!
google avatar

Yelp
This place consistently serves good food. From their pho to their vermicelli dishes, you can't go wrong. My go-to is the rib eye pho. The soup is well-balanced and you get a decent amount of food. The service is also consistent but nothing outstanding. If you need anything, you have to wave someone down as they don't seem to swing back by on their own. The atmosphere is average but comfortable. Of the several pho places we've gone to, we frequent this one the most.

Yelp
I've been to several viet places here in Vegas and I can officially say that this is now my most favorite place for Pho. Their broth is perfectly spiced and perfumed with all the right spices the broth is savory and not too sweet. Their service was attentive and everything came out so quickly. It was a very nice quaint restaurant with your normal Asian flair.

Yelp
Got two pho Tai chin and they hit the spot! Bowls were nicely portioned. Price is around $16 - 18 per bowl so typical prices. There was lots of meat which I appreciate. Service was quick and staff were nice!

Yelp
Yummy food, friendly staff, big portions, and it's delicious. What's not to love? The benches are super hard, and there are boot padded booths or table seats. That is my one complaint. My butt and back hurt when we left. We ordered shrimp spring rolls and the beef stew with rice noodles and French bread. So good!! The broth was thick and rich and wonderful. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The bowl was huge! We shared it and still had leftovers. Yum for breakfast later!

Yelp
It's busy in here always even when it's hot outside . I love pho even in hot weather. Their egg rolls one of my favs as well
google avatar

Yelp
This is our go-to spot for pho! Every time we come, I always order the beef balls and coconut it never disappoints. The service here is outstanding, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The place has a great ambiance, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal

Yelp
Every time I visit Vegas, my Mom takes me here. It's her local pho spot by her house. We've been coming for so many years. Service is fast and efficient. Servers are attentive and really nice. And their food is comforting. The pho is rich and delicious, filled with a generous portion of meat and noodles. The beef tenderloin has lots of flavor, but be aware it comes out really rare. They're totally ok with grilling it for a little longer to your liking, fragrant and aromatic. The spring rolls are pretty basic, the egg rolls come out hot and fresh. The fried rice was surprisingly good, with ginormous shrimp's. Amibiance is chill and casual. Ample seating. Perfect pho spot if you're in the area.

Yelp
I really like this place for lunch. The food is solid and very fresh. I have tried several dishes and have not been disappointed. The service is efficient and at times a bit clinical. This is great at lunchtime when you are in a hurry but not personable. The space is clean albeit a bit vanilla. That is not a big deal to me because I am all about the food which is really good. I will definitely be back again!

Yelp
This place is underrated IMO. It took us a while to try this place out because it's rated lower than the other pho places around here. And I'm so glad we did! Ambiance: CLEAN! Inside is cute and most importantly, clean... no stickiness on the tables or sauce on the walls. Food: the pho tasted good, was competitively priced and portions were just right. I love that they also have fresh young coconut on the menu. Shrimp spring rolls are more competitively priced than other places... will get that next time. Service was good. We were greeted and sat down pretty quickly. The food order came out correctly and in a timely manner. Not sure what more you can ask for at this price range. The lower ratings seem to be due to unrealistic expectations with regards to service? Lol, I kid. BUT I wouldn't hesitate to try this place out! It's a good pho spot in my honest opinion.
google avatar

Yelp
The Pho was good, the calamari was horrible and expensive.. very stale and hard for $12.00

Yelp
A true vegas staple and my go-to location for all my pho cravings! I've been dining here for years and has truly become a place of nostalgia and comfort for me. My go-to order is #23, pho with lean brisket and beef ball The broth is consistently DELICIOUS, clean, and piping hot! We also always get fried egg rolls to perfect the best meal, and they're always served fried-to-order and extra hot and crispy! Anyone who has been at Pho Saigon 8 knows how quick their service is. Your order is ready to serve sometimes 5 minutes after sitting down! I've come to Saigon 8 on weekdays, weekends, for lunch and for dinner, and they're always consistently busy and shuffling people in and out, so be sure to plan your visit accordingly!

Yelp
Food is outstanding here! The service however is terrible. We went for a lunch rush. Second time here. I asked for a booth and was happy, not mad at all. The server seemed mad that I was willing to wait patiently for a booth yelling at me that someone was there before me so I had to wait. Mind you I was ok with that no rush. The whole meal me and my buddy were just in awe of how rude the staff was. Everything i asked for it seemed like a struggle for the waitress to ask. So rushed so rude. The ambiance left me astonished on how a nice place could make you feel so bad for going into their establishment. Don't get me wrong. I will still be going here for the food, but definitely not the waitress's. I still left a nice tip by the way. I always do.

Yelp
This 3 star review is based on service, not the food. I met some friends here for dinner. they had been before I had not. I love pho especially on a cold day. I arrived before my friends and was met @ the door by a very "all about the business" woman who sat me immediately. She wasn't rude, but definitely not friendly. I could see she was running things kind of matriarch fashion. The rest of the staff seemed to turn to her for direction. My friends were about 10 min late and she seemed irritated that I was taking up a table while waiting for them. Mind you the place was not even 50% occupied. Once the rest of my party showed up another server who was very sweet came to take our order. Our food came out super quick. My friends ordered spring rolls, egg rolls & and bowl of beef pho. I am always watching my carbs so I ordered pho with no noodles extra veggies and add a protein. I added chicken breast this time. My soup was piping hot, filled with lots of veggies and a generous amount of chicken. I was happy with my food and so were my friends. Service not so much. I was never even offered a refill on my water. I probably would come here again but I won't expect great customer service.

Yelp
There are a few different pho options off Eastern, but this is my favorite. Always reliable. My wife and I frequent this place.

Yelp
Glad to have a decent Vietnamese food in the neighborhood. Service always good. Ambience is casual very laid back. Love coming here to eat. No complaints from me.
google avatar

Yelp
I mean Vietnamese food isn't expensive but the thing I like about this place is that they give u mint and cilantro. They still charge u $20+ bucks for a BUN dish that costs them $ 5 at most. Good for them for making me bend over because I'm not making this shit at home. Thumbs up for quality. Thumbs down for them gouging the price.
google avatar

Veronica K.

Yelp
This is my go to place for Pho. I like the brisket, the sauce and the sriracha is sooo good on it. A good choice for a fall/winter meal when you want something hot!
google avatar

Jannien D.

Yelp
Pho Saigon 8 will always be my favorite Pho restaurant in Vegas! They are consistent at serving quality food and they do not play with their Pho serving sizes! Personally, that is always a plus in my book! I recommend getting their crispy fried egg rolls! It pairs well with the sweet tangy dipping sauce it comes with! The fresh spring rolls with a side of peanut sauce are also a great starter option! Honestly, their menu has a lot to offer and there is something for everyone. My grandma who is a very picky eater was able to pick something she likes, the Pho Hai San (seafood Pho)! She loved it! The service is always efficient and the establishment is well kept with a homey feel to it! We love this place, and we will always be back! Especially now that it's starting to get cold, there's nothing like a hot bowl of Pho at Pho Saigon 8!

Yelp
Quaint small place.. Asian decore, modern music on.. tvs were playing a movie and sports but not audible ... Seated at large table... staff milling around, no one quite checking onnus... then the waiter shows uo..takes our orders and specifics (with not writing it sown).and then repears it all back to us.. that was impressive as people in that industry don't or can't do that these days... Food came out one by one as they were made. About a 15-minute wait...we all.haf different soups. I had the seafood combo with pork broth, but minus the pork blood ... it was so good. The best I've had in about 2 years ... Great experience .. 4.5 review because of the lack of attention once we were seated and once we were served..

Andrea M.

Yelp
my husband and I have found this place and it's an absolute gem! We have told so many people about this place and it's really really authentic and delicious and clean in every way. The servers here are amazing and especially Trey in particular is always a joy and is so attentive every time we come here or even on the phone when we order to go! We definitely recommend you making a reservation because there can be a wait sometimes but let me tell you if you do have to wait It is always well worth it because the food is so delicious.! Thank You staff at Pho Saigonese!!
google avatar

Lisa K.

Yelp
It was a very busy day on New Year's Day but so glad to have gotten in without a wait. The flavors were delicious in the Lean Brisket Pho I got and the broth was very flavorful as well. The service seemed a bit slower than normal but since it was a holiday, I'll give them a pass on this and just be grateful they were open. It was the perfect meal to start off the new year!
google avatar

Frank W.

Yelp
Based on our less than stellar experience at this restaurant 14 years ago, even I was surprised to find us dining there on our recent vacation. My only excuse is we were both feeling under the weather and the location was reasonably close to where we staying. We started off with goi cuon, fresh spring rolls, that we terrible. However, our bowls of pho proved to be quite good and the garnishes were fresh. My wife had pho ga (rice noodles with chicken breast) while I chose pho tai nam ga (noodles with ribeye, flank and brisket). Portion size was generous and the flavors satisfying.

Annie T.

Yelp
Awful! DO NOT come here! Service was awful and food had gone downhill! And worst it was filth! My food had a rubber band in it and my friend's house had what look like a cockroach leg!
google avatar

Savannah J.

Yelp
Ive been coming here for years when i feel a sickness coming on because i know their soup always makes me feel better the next day. Their food is the CURE. I always order the veggie pho with beef broth and a shrimp spring roll that comes with peanut sauce. their avocado smoothie is delicious as well as the thai tea. This place really shows love in their food, if anyone would ask me what pho restaurant to go to- id always recommend this one. service is quick and food comes out fast, lots of seating with booths and regular tables. Huge portions for good prices & food never disappoints.
google avatar

Goku T.

Yelp
Got the pork chop and rice which was good but didn't receive the extra fried egg I requested. Waitress repeated the order back to me as well. Maybe service could be better but at least the food doesn't disappoint
google avatar

Jim J.

Yelp
Really good food good crew working there very friendly very helpful I drive across town to come here for lunch on my days off. The Price is Right For What you get here in Las Vegas and fresh food prepared right.
google avatar

Bill J.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic! This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Las Vegas. It's affordable and authentic. The food is traditionally served as soon as it's ready so don't be surprised if the plates come out separately. Take not of your table number during the meal, you'll need to walk up to the register to pay by telling them your table number. Don't sit impatiently waiting for your check, Simply go to the register and tell them your table number.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
I did take out from here. Pho broth was OK. Bbq pork rice plate was alright. Convenient location
google avatar

Aki I.

Yelp
Yo let me tell you why I give this place 5 stars. Ok so I've been coming to this place for at least 10 plus years probably like 15 years at the least. I live close enough from this joint and when I think about getting me some pho, this is my go to place. Pho reals tho I mean I've never had a bad meal here period. I've never felt their service was bad. I always feel satisfied coming here to eat. I always leave this place feeling good. This place deserves my 5 stars simply because I've been coming here for a very very long time. This place NEVER disappoints me like I said pho real pho real.
google avatar

Antonio A.

Yelp
the food here is good. The wait staff isn't always super polite, but I come here for quick food, not to make lifelong friends. if i order pho, i usually order rare steak & brisket... but other things to try: bo kho + banh mi vegan crispy eggrolls banh xeo bun thit nuong cha gio
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite spot ever the workers are so nice and service is always fast love coming with my coworkers after work especially for some saki and pho :)

Yelp
I came in for dinner on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly lively. I was craving pho, so I decided to give this restaurant a shot. This restaurant is located in a big plaza with tons of parking available. [Service] As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The waitress gave me ample time to look through the menu. She was nice and friendly. However, she didn't check up on me at all during my meal. [Food] The food came out extremely fast! I ordered the #23 pho and pork spring rolls. The pork spring rolls with the peanut sauce were great! Can't go wrong with them. The pho was okay. The broth was pretty bland and had no flavor to it. The meat made up for it though. The meat that came with the pho was juicy and tender! 3/5 stars from me! Overall, I had an average experience. I most likely will think twice before returning.
google avatar

Jay W.

Yelp
The food is actually really good there! My only downfall is the service. No one is on the same page. The waiter is a really nice guy but the other servers who tried to assist for our orders wrong and it took a long time for two cokes to come out. They charged me for three fried rice but they took the second one off. The ambiance to the place is chill, but overall the food is good. It's like your typical Vietnamese restaurant.
google avatar

Angel Q.

Yelp
I remember when I was very new to Vegas, Pho Saigon was the fist place I had pho lol Specifically, it was this location too. The food tastes great here. Last time I had a rice with short ribs. I got an avocado shake. Idk. Something about it makes my experience complete when I come here. Haha One thing, I am very sad about is the coconut water.. Before, they used to have actual coconuts! I loved it sooo much, but they don't have this anymore :( RIP #119 I never took you for granted, and I'll miss you T-T haha Overall, everything's good here. The staff is efficient, and you can leave feeling very full.
google avatar

Alma Z.

Yelp
So far only had take outs at this place- but it's our new favorite pho spot. We usually take soups to go, since we have toddler, who would make enormous amount of mess at the restaurant. But he loves pho. Loves noodles and broth. Love that they vegan option. And amount of tofu they include is pretty good. Didn't try any other food yet. But will for sure.
google avatar

Phi N.

Yelp
More like a 3.5, but I'll round up. We split the bun thom thit nuong and the bun bo hue. Both were pretty solid but not the best I've had. I enjoyed the flavor of the BBH broth, meat was just alright, and there was no pig knuckle. The meat and nuoc mam in the bun could have been better, but I guess that depends on your taste. I like it fattier and saltier.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Ordered the Pho Tai Bo Vien. Soup was clean but had a lighter flavor. Don't add lime! I did and I lost the flavor almost completely which was a bummer. Meat was tender and service was quick and efficient. I didn't need to add any hoisin or sriracha to the broth which tells you their broth is pretty good. Solid, just don't add lime!
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Food was amazing had the pork chops with white rice and veggies. We will be back forsure
google avatar

Donald C.

Yelp
Busy, busy, busy!! You can go to a lot of trendy, expensive restaurants and not get food anywhere near this! The soups-all of them, are the ticket here. I'm stuck on the "rare eye-of-round and lean brisket " soup. Of course they have more than soups, try a chicken breast with rice , a small "salad", and a ball of rice with two egg rolls. Just for kicks order a small bowl of beef broth. The chicken wings with fish sauce sounds weird but are delicious if not over cooked. They are big wings (4 ), and are in my opinion somewhat over priced, but everything else is a good deal. The Vietnamese took French cooking to heart, and the results are here! I'm going to go out on a limb and say you won't find a better meal in town. Finally, avoid a seat near the front door if it's cold and windy
google avatar

Natalina C.

Yelp
One of my favorite go-to spots for delicious pho! The service is quick and friendly, and I love the hot jasmine tea. The pho is consistently fantastic. I've been coming here for years with friends and family, and it never disappoints :) I saw another review saying the lady with the tattoos is mean - she is not, don't listen to that review. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Even when they are super busy, we always get our food fast and well-made.
google avatar

Roxanne E.

Yelp
My husband and I got seated right away. I got the vermicelli bowl with shrimp, pork, and and egg roll. My husband got the beef pho and a side of tripe. Everything came out so fresh and was very satisfying! We will definitely be back again!
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
For a quick pho experience it's decent at best. The steak pho tai meat sometimes is tough and a little stringy. The broth is pretty much the same as every Saigon 8 decent. The service is ok, very fast food hurry in and out feel.
