13 Worthwhile Dining Options in and Around Ventura - Eater LA

"Off the beaten path in sleepy Port Hueneme, Pho Saigon regularly turns some of Ventura’s most sought-after bowls of noodles and broken rice. The casual dining space, three decades strong, is known to draw crowds and a lively atmosphere keen to enjoy bánh xèo savory crepes and steamy bowls of pho." - Gab Chabran

My wife and I have heard so many great recommendations about Pho Saigon we finally got to try it. We were not disappointed the food was excellent. The spring rolls were the best spring rolls we have ever had. The service was great and they prepare the food very quickly. The pho was very tasty and was a great portion size. Overall we had a great experience and will be back again.

Google
We were greeted and served immediately with a smile, which made for a great first impression. The staff was friendly and attentive. While the portions were reasonable, nothing about the food really stood out. It lacked a unique or memorable touch. The restaurant feels a bit outdated, and the bathrooms definitely needed to be cleaned and fixed up. However, there was plenty of space for large parties, which is a plus. The pricing felt high for what was offered, especially since the food didn’t have a distinct taste. While we enjoyed our time there, we’re not sure if we’ll be back.

Pho Saigon in Port City Plaza, Port Hueneme, is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic—every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. Portions are generous, and you definitely get great value for your money. The pho is especially rich and comforting, and their grilled meat dishes are perfectly seasoned. The staff is friendly, and service is quick. Highly recommend for anyone craving tasty Vietnamese cuisine!

Google
The place was busy, but the staff was super friendly, and all of them were making the rounds checking on everyone. And the food lived up to the hype! Got a #9 Pho, the spring rolls, and coconut water with real coconut. everything was delicious!!!!

Guys this is the last of Pho Saigon. By the 1st of this June yes, June 1st the original folk will no longer be the owners. As a Wynemén it saddens my heart but we all need to call it a quits at some point. I personally will miss your wonderful tasteful food you provided for my family and I. I grow up with Jimmy and Joey so I've had the pleasure of eating here for decades. With a warm heart my family and I thank for many many years of fantastic food. I pray that the new owners can continue serving quality tasteful food as you guys did for many many year. God bless.

Review of visit from 2016. I had driven by here many times but finally made it a point to stop in for a visit. The large menu had me scanning it for several minutes, having a hard time deciding what to try. I finally went with meal #44 (see picture), which is comprised of pork, chicken, egg cake and broken rice. I substituted the broken rice for fried rice. The meal was pretty good, though not particularly outstanding. The place was busy and had a pretty good vibe about it. The servers were fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. It's a good fit for all budgets.

Google
This is the best place that serves Pho in the area. It is authentic and never disappoints. It gets busy during lunch, but the service is so fast it doesn't matter if you decide to wait here or another restaurant nearby. I’ve always been welcomed here by the servers and staff. If you want great tasting Pho, I highly recommend.

We’ve been to Pho Saigon a couple of times, and it’s always a great experience! The food is always good, the service is excellent, and the prices are pretty reasonable. The pho is amazing, served in a large bowl that’s perfect for my husband who has quite the appetite lol. Got another one for my kids to share, and they both leave feeling full. The eggrolls (cha gio) are absolutely delicious, and the vegetables are always fresh. The service is quick, and the staff is very friendly and nice. It’s definitely a go to spot whenever we’re in the area.

Yelp
Will be under new ownership effective May 31,2025, I had to stop by! So many memories - lunches and dinners here. Service was great! It was busy but we got our food quickly! The community will truly miss them and they are showing up. Amazing family owned restaurant for decades! Great food! My friend had never been, a local and she was sad she hadn't visited before. I'll make sure to support the new restaurant owners but still a bit heartbroken :/

Yelp
Forgot to check in! Forgot pictures! I was craving soup again! Had to try! Soup Soup Soup! Yum! Another great place to get that soup satisfaction! Great location, lots of parking! Love their Pho! Sooo Flavorful! Definitely keeping up with the competition as there are so many Pho restaurants in the area... Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place has fantastic food. I also found it crowded when I went; this wasn't surprising given the phenomenal food. I had a rice bowl with meatballs, chicken, pork, and egg rolls. Everything was tasty, and there was plenty of food. The server took my order and quickly brought out my food. My favorite toppings were the meatballs. They were well-seasoned. For a drink, I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee. It was definitely one of the top three iced drinks I've tasted recently. You can go up to pay for your food at the counter after you've finished or wait for the server to come by. I have absolutely no complaints and understand why this place is popular. There's plenty of parking, but be sure to read signs so you aren't taking a business' parking space nearby.

Yelp
FOOD: I got one of the broken rice plates with everything. It had sheimp, egg rolls, beef, chicken and pork. Portion is good for two. The sweet fish sauce completed everything. So good! I highly recommend. We also got the house special pho and a bit salty but the lime helped cut that down and everything tasted great and fresh. SERVICE: The service was quick acknowledging us. The food came out in a decent amount of time. Not too long not too quick that the plate was a mess or inaccurate. There was a bit of staff working as a team cleaning tables, serving foods and taking orders. Staff were really nice and welcoming. We did not feel rushed at all. AMBIANCE: Plenty of seatings such as booths and tables. Clean tables with bright lighting. Bathrooms were clean and stocked lol. It can get loud due to plenty of customers. They barely opened and they were already steady busy. Last time I went during dinner time. There were 5-8 groups already waiting before we got there. I think they need a bigger location lol. Overall, highly recommend! Worth the hype. Delicious food and reasonable prices. My broken rice dish was $19 but it was plenty and shareable. Pho had plenty of meat and perfect meat to noodle ratio! Condiments if needed were available on the table along with some utensils. The condiments container were clean which was a plus for me. Perfect for groups or couples. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
I usually order to go as Pho has become my rainy day / gloomy day-stay-inside-and-cuddle-under-a-blanket comfort food. and especially because this restaurant just happens to be in my neck of the woods. I follow Pho Saigon on Instagram and I love watching Jimmy's stories and posts. He makes me laugh, which makes me want to go down there even more so. Everyone is super helpful and nice. Now for the food...everything looks so good and I always have the idea I will venture from my usual order and try other things but if it ain't broke why fix it? Pho Tôm is my go to and even though it's not on the menu, it's an easy order. Also get the egg rolls with the side of veggies to share with my family. And then if I'm really feeling hungry I wash it all down with a Thai Tea with Boba. I have dined in person a couple of times and I have always been fortunate to not have to wait very long but I know this place gets packed! It's a neighborhood favorite and I love watching the fish swim in the large tank while I'm waiting. Never had a bad experience at all and would most definitely keep coming back. Thanks Jimmy and family! Photastic!

Yelp
Great food, clean restaurant, prices are fairly priced especially for the quantity of food you get! Got the vegetable pho here and Jimmy was the waiter that helped me out here and was the sweetest guy! Will definitely be coming back here when I'm in the area in the future

Yelp
Amazing food! But - if you want to order for pickup you may go weeks without being able to get through by phone and there is no way to order online. But I get it! It's a family operation and that's kind of part of the mystique. But sometimes the line is so long for pickup that your pho will be pretty cold when you get it. So be prepared to re-heat at home. If you want to go in person you will generally have to stand in a very crowded tiny entryway or outside in a very sketchy area of Oxnard for possibly 45 minutes to an hour. So about 95% of the the time when we would really love to eat here - we just can't. But when we do, the staff is super friendly and everything we have ever ordered is delicious! Favorites are #8 #19 #37 & #55. It's a real treat to eat here and we love it but the difficulty in ordering in person or for pickup makes it incredibly tricky!

Yelp
Used to come to Pho Saigon all the time and haven't in years because of the distance, but this is definitely the best pho in the area. Service is quick, the food is always good, and I would ask for the chili oil because they make it in-house, and it's so aromatic. The fried shrimp is something I usually wouldn't order, but I was pleasantly surprised by how big the shrimp were (great shrimp to coating ratio). Overall, always a hit!

Yelp
Been going here since I was a kid! Best Vietnamese restaurant in all of Ventura County in my opinion! Always feel welcomed, appreciated, and fast service.

Yelp
This is where you come to get delicious authentic Pho by the base. The food comes out relatively quick. During lunch, it can get busy but usually were seated within. 5-10 at most. There's usually seating available.

Yelp
Visiting the area and my mom suggested eating here. She had been here and always make it a point to eat here. We went around 8pm amd they close at 830pm. There was a waiting list when we got there with about 5 parties in front of us. I noticed a boutique 3 open tables and a few that needed to be bussed. Seems like they need a host or someone to organize the flow of customers. The place is like an eat and go place, nothing homey. The food is definitely awesome! Good flavors, hot, fast and big serving sizes. We got an order of wonton cream cheese and an order of spring rolls. My mom got her house special pho and I got the crispy chicken with broken noodles. Delicious! I see how this place is always busy!

Yelp
I am such a huge fan of this restaurant! I came here for the first time back in 2015 when I was in town for the weekend and am now back 9 years later. The food is just as wonderful as I remember. The service here is so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I were treated so well while we were here for lunch the other day. The servers have suggested some amazing items and tips with certain sauces. I will always order the #3, the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork. As well as their #67 Thai Iced Tea. They actually sell their chili oil, which I definitely recommend buying. I use it at home all of the time. The vibe is so casual and chill. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

Yelp
I love coming to pho , but today was different, place is usually loud and crazy , so much going on , server is really nice very attentive , but today the food was not so good , we got the wonton soup , the noodles were super hard , almost crunchy , I've never had that happen to us . The wontons were great ! Maybe next time I will Pick a better soup

Yelp
I hope the new owners don't change 1 thing. I always get the rare steak PHO, broken rice with grilled pork, and combination fried rice. We also had the fried shrimp and other varieties of pho and are never disappointed.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Jimmy the owner is such an amazing person. When we go eat in person my kids always look for Jimmy. He is very personable, very interactive with the kids, it's a family friendly environment. Best Pho in town! I will gladly wait to get a table if we go during busy hour (they do get busy) but service is so fast you don't wait to long. We really enjoy this place and always recommend it when people ask us where the best Pho place is locally! Thank you Jimmy! You rock!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered fried egg rolls with lettuce wraps, two large special Pho's, and an order of fried chicken thighs to-go. $60 and a 30 minute wait. Wasn't particularly busy, but still had to wait when I got there. Unfortunately, when I get home, no egg rolls with lettuce wraps. Almost twice the cost of my local Pho place, where they can fill my order in 15, never have to wait, and always get my order right. Huge down-check. After a long day's work, not cool to come home and find out that you got ripped off.

Yelp
Recommended by friends who live in Malibu and it was as epic as they said. I was impressed by how friendly all the employees were. The $16 bowl was gigantic, delicious and filling. So appreciative for the recommendation.

Yelp
Pho Saigon is Family Owned & Operated since 2001 & has been at this location in Port Hueneme since 2007. It's main roads are Ventura Road & Pleasant Valley Road. They have parking in front & is shared with other businesses. There's also parking in the back. It's usually busy here. Even on rainy days. You come in, sign in on the clipboard & wait to be seated. We came on a busy Saturday night, but we didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. They are fast & friendly. Our orders came out in good timing & our soup, pip'n hot. Love their pho broth & egg noodle soup broth, it's so good & tasty. I don't usually add anything to my soup except for the side veggies, & of course some Sriracha. Last time we came here, we finished the entire bowl. It without a doubt hit the spot. Definitely try the Pho, Egg Noodle Soup, Rice Vermicelli & the Rice plates. Whenever my Fam from out of town visits, it's a must stop here. They always miss Pho Saigon, & can't seem to find Pho like they have here. It's also pretty casual here... Only thing that made it feel uneasy that evening, were some characters hanging outside nearby. Just glad I wasn't alone leaving the restaurant that night. Shout out to Jimmy, who I've known since Jr High. I know, it's been years, but I finally did a review lol.

Yelp
They were closed for 3 weeks and finally opened again. Immediately had to go because NOTHING compares in the area. Our usuals are #35 with fried rice and #58 Flat rice noodles no tofu. Whoever was the cook on reopening day made everything with lots of flavor and love. Perfect 10/10

Yelp
This place seems to be really popular with the locals. We got there around 415 on a friday and there was about 8 people waiting for opening. Apparently this is one of the best vietnamese spots in the area. My family lives in camarillo and drive the extra miles here to get their vietnamese craving fix. My go to picks are always the rice vermicelli bowl, usually with grilled beef and eggroll if they have the option. Noodles were not mushy, beef was grilled nicely and eggroll tasted just fine. I loved that they put the crunchy fried onions on top.

Yelp
12FEB2025 I recommend avoiding this place due to the disrespect and unprofessionalism, especially towards people in uniform. I've been coming here a few times in the past two years and never had any major issue. Today, I went by myself in uniform. I signed up for the waitlist with four people ahead of me in groups of two. Eventually, we all got seated simultaneously. I waited there without a menu without a greeting or even an order for a drink service wise as the lady who placed me at the booth proceeded to Service the people that were ahead of me, but also people that were after me as she walked by me without even glancing in my direction serving a group that literally is 2 feet away from me. I waited about 15 minutes with no one serving or offering a menu. I finally was about to leave and then one of the other younger ladies that typically works behind the Register, asked if I had been served and I strongly stated no. This lady proceeded to go grab a menu and toss it onto the table without greeting without asking what I wanted to drink without asking if I was ready to order from the menu directly. I'm in uniform infuriated at this point... I waited 30 minutes, standing up as I allowed an older couple to sit down at the booth near the door. I finally got seated and the same person that seated me just proceeded to ignore me the entire time and service everyone around me. Then, when someone actually asks me if I had been serviced. The younger lady proceeded to grab the menu and just toss it to me and walks away rudely. I get up and go to the desk at the cash register And talk to the lady who had seated me and proceeded to ignore me. I ordered fried wontons and beef noodles with an iced coffee. Quickly, the service came out with the food. I was amazed and really it was just an incredible 180, but when she placed my food down, and I had a follow up question, she just proceeded to walk away rudely after she had stated, "There is other people that could have ordered the food" I'm thinking myself are you serious? What the hell is wrong with her? You placed me here and proceeded to order everybody's food and ignored me afterwards... Then when it came down to, where is the straws which I wasn't aware that was on the table behind the chopsticks and I want to get other sauces for the noodles. She just proceeded to be rude and disrespectful and walk away. The younger lady who is usually behind the register, brought out something entirely different, but didn't even place it near me, placed it on the furthest point opposite to the booth and proceeded to walk away versus acknowledging If I have any other inquiries or concern. Just absolutely unprofessional! The older gentleman, the younger gentlemen who were cleaning tables, which was the majority of their focus, unlike the rebuttal disrespect of the original lady having said that everyone is capable of taking my order when she was the only person on the floor taking orders. I understand they're busy and I understand patience, but at the same time being blatantly disrespectful towards the customer is insane considering a 45 minute overall wait from the time that I signed up to the time that I sat down. Throwing a menu on my table and proceeding to walk away is disrespectful. As a military person, I will never go back to PHO SAIGON. I highly recommend everyone else in uniform not to go to this pho restaurant... There are places where people actually want to be professional and run a business versus personally attack customers. I ended up getting up and leaving. The two female servers there need some professional training and the two gentlemen there are extremely patient and professional.

Yelp
Vietnamese places aren't generally know for service, but this place has both excellent food and service. The prices were a bit higher than I'm used to seeing, but the quality of the pho was great. Menu was pretty extensive, and everything on tables I could see across the restaurant also looked great. Wish it was a bit closer to freeway, would definitely visit more often.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Vietnamese/pho restaurant! I'm not a big pho fan but everything else here is great. I've been coming here for years so I've explored the menu a bit. The service is impeccable, my friend Jimmy is a great host who will make you feel at home. But I've had no issues here with service even when not serviced by Jimmy. They are very accommodating with menu requests as well. For starters, I love the egg rolls, fried shrimps and wontons. The spring rolls are good too if you're into those. For entree, I'll usually order one of the Vermicelli rice noodle bowls. I love it with the egg roll in it, so I'll get the #55 or another combination. The broken rice plates are great as well - sometimes I'll swap for fried rice. The combination fried rice plate is a great option as well. I usually think of it as a shared appetizer, but you can make a meal out of it as well. Pro-tip for the fried rice as your entree - add an order of crispy chicken on top, charbroiled beef or another protein! I like to get this with some sweet and sour sauce to add. For drinks I've tried the lemonade and lychee drink. Both taste great but are kind of a small portion since they fill the glass with a lot of ice. Usually not worth the price to me. I'll have to try their lychee mimosa which I heard is really good. I have a lot of friends and co-workers who swear by the #6 Phò Dǎc Biêt but I think I prefer the rare cooked beef and meatball in the pho there. I'll have to try it again and update this review.

Yelp
We were a party of 7 with two kids and we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. It was very busy and they have an easy sign up wait list. We waited about 20-25 minutes and that was totally fine. The young man who was the host was attentive and gave us updates and options. BUT that is where the service stopped. Once we sat, the server approached and with no pleasantries just requested our orders. As the food began arriving there was no order to it nor did they care about who ordered what. It was just dropped on one side of the table, with the number stated and everyone trying to remember what they ordered. Then a lot of passing and chaos happening and that's not simple with hot soup all the way to the other end of the table and with kids. Seems like there could be a bit more order to this and thoughtfulness. While we all enjoyed the food there was absolutely no service offered after the food was dropped. No one ever checked on us. No one ever bussed the table (this was noticed throughout the entire time we were there, every table that got up, everything was left behind). We had to wave staff down for different utensils and we couldn't even wave anyone down on two different occasions & someone had to get up to request to-go containers and then to finally get the check. All of this is inconvenient to the experience -- $125+ later and you also have to pay at the counter. Clearly, not looking for any fine dining experience but it shouldn't be this lacking or change your business model and don't make it a full service restaurant. Maybe they were short staffed or maybe this is the norm...unsure? But if you don't provide service then just have your customers order at the counter and wait for a table and have no expectations about service. Happy to see a small local business busy & thriving, but you can't neglect your customers to focus on quantity and to-go orders and moving customers out quickly by not being attentive to them. Ambiance -- it is very loud and busy and the parking lot is crowded so just be prepared depending on what type of meet up you are having. Will try again and hope for a different experience.

Yelp
Seems like the owner has improve their services. Food still good and worth the drive.

Yelp
I tried placing a takeout order over the phone around 1 PM but no one answered. I called again at 5 PM and someone picked up, only to place me on hold. After waiting several minutes, I hung up and attempted to call back multiple times, but no one answered. This was a frustrating experience and reflects poor customer service. If the restaurant is too busy to take phone orders, they should communicate that clearly.

Catherine Y.

Yelp
Great food! Wonderful service. Highly recommend!! First time here and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant by family friend recommendation and it was soooo good!! I ordered a veggie pho (#59), no tofu, extra veggie. I also got fresh spring rolls (#3), no tofu. Totally recommend for all my veggie lovers! Thank you to the girl who took my order over the phone, her customer service was spot on! She did not rush me or make me feel bad for customizing my food. P.S. if you dine in, the wait times are a little long, but definitely worth it!

Yelp
I'm not going to gatekeep this Pho Saigon secret. ***If you want to place an order for TAKE-OUT & you're not in the Port Hueneme area... GO TO THEIR SISTER LOCATION in North Oxnard, Saigon Kitchen Togo!*** -- It's located at 191 E Gonzales Rd, Oxnard, CA 93036 (same plaza as Toppers Pizza, near Pacifica High School). This location is more of a fast food dining experience, less traffic of customers & you can get your takeout order faster than the Port Hueneme location. I say all this because I continue to support 805's beloved Pho Saigon & want to help spread the word about their other location! Pho Saigon is still one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, this includes Vietnamese restaurants I've tried in Garden Grove & anywhere in Orange County. Amazing quality, so authentic & decent-sized portions!

Yelp
I had the Pho Dac Biet at Pho Saigon and it was amazing. Broth was so clear, flavorful, and delicious that I did not let a single drop go to waste. The veggies were fresh and crisp. Portions of noodle and meat were just right. I'm going to be dreaming about their pho tonight... maybe every night even. I came during an weekday evening and the restaurant was packed. I thought I would have to wait. To my surprise, they seated me pretty quick and took my order in a timely manner. Food was out in 5 minutes. Service was excellent. Ambiance is casual. Lots of seating. Overall, Pho Saigon exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend Pho Saigon!!

Yelp
Best vietnamese food around here. Popular so you might need to wait. But food is good and consistent.

Jesus C.

Yelp
Booth table was dirty with stains on the table from previous customers. Waiter did not check once for drink refills. But I can say the food was excellent

Greg M.

Yelp
I asked for one thing to be spicy. One. Waited a good 25 mins to be told they didn't "tell the cook it needed to be spicy" Than gave my 30 sides of what was basically Vietnamese ketchup. I'm sorry if this sounds over the top. But the spice is the main reason I love pho and if that can't be done I just simply won't return.

Yelp
Pho Saigon is pretty good, but the one main setback would probably be the noodles. I got the seafood noodle soup and my bf got the beef pho. We also got the shrimp spring roll appetizer. I was impressed with how much meat they gave us for both. I also enjoyed how hot the soup was when it first came out. The noodles were kind of disappointing because it was very soggy and not chewy at all. The texture of pho noodles should have a little bit of a chew to it and should not fall apart when mixing around the noodles in the soup. I noticed that this place's pho noodles falls apart and their noodle were soft. Besides that, everything else was pretty good. The soup had an authentic flavor. The shrimp spring rolls were good. I love the peanut sauce that came with. A great appetizer to start off the meal. Overall, this place sells some yummy pho, but I have definitely had better. Definitely a good place to get your pho fix if you are around the area.

Yelp
I saw someone negatively review this pho spot based on Boba. Lol. You dork. This spot is a family restaurant that delivers on the classics and elevates the sides. The food is fantastic. Their flavors are spot on and it's clear that they pay attention to detail. They don't skimp on any of the proteins and they make sure it's MORE than adequate for the price. I ordered the vermicelli with shrimp, pork, and egg roll. The ingredients were layered and perfect. The char flavor on the pork and shrimp was the highlight and complimented the whole dish. My girlfriend had Pho Tai. When it comes to pho, all a restaurant has to do is stick to the script. Make it taste like the small, numbered haunts peppered around Southern California. This was achieved. Another note: the beef in the pho tai was tender and soft. Not something you see everyday. Usually the heat of the broth toughens it. This was delightfully different. The fried chicken was excellent. There's a hint of milky, buttery flavor in the marinade and makes the whole thing completely addictive. Service was prompt for a restaurant popping and bustling. The appetizers showed up within 10 minutes. The mains within 20. Ambiance is that of a family restaurant. It kinda looks like a salsa dance hall converted into a restaurant. Lots of marble. Excellent. The only complaint I have is that the acoustics of the place are horrible when full. It's hard to keep up a conversation and one finds themself leaning in a lot. Blame the marble. Other than that, it's great. 5/5 despite the acoustics.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! The staff is very nice. The food is AMAZING! I've tried other Vietnamese restaurants but this one is the best!! They have the best and flavorful fried rice. I will always come back for the fried rice and the #6.

Yelp

my friend and i had a wonderful hearty meal here! i was recovering from a nasty cold and the rare beef pho with meatballs hit the spot. i was expecting the beef to be on the side but it was in the soup already; so it was a little over cooked for what i was expecting but still very tasty. i will admit the service was a bit awkward, we sort of stood near the front for about 20 or so minutes after signing in on a paper sheet and no one greeted us or checked the paper despite looking at us several times. i think a quick "be right with you" would've sufficed!! but nonetheless our server was very sweet. we watched the tv and just ate our yummy soup i suppose it isn't a restaurant where you sit and chat since you're too busy slurping on noodles!!!

Yelp
I love that place! The food is flavourful and tasty, and portions are big and nice staff. It is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Ventura County. You should totally try it! The only thing I would mention is that the restrooms should be cleaned more often.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Ventura County! It's an amazing family-owned and run business and I'm always so happy to see how great the restaurant is doing. I've had great experiences with take-out and dine-in. If want to order to-go, place your order on the phone so that it's ready by the time you get there. - Shrimp spring rolls: The spring rolls were pretty loaded! The dipping sauce was basically a hoisin dipping sauce as opposed to peanut butter-based like I've had at most places. Nice and light appetizer that is easy to share. - Beef combo pho: There was so much meat! I was really impressed by the ratio of meat to noodles. Broth had a ton of flavor. - Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk: Very solid, you can't go wrong! There's a decent sized parking lot, although it can get pretty busy especially around lunch time. I've never had an issue finding a spot though. As a cherry on top, this place has the friendliest service.

Yelp
Overall rating: 4.5 Food: This place has delicious pho! We are originally from OC and know good pho from Little Saigon so we come to places with high expectations. This place didn't disappoint. We got their egg rolls, tofu spring rolls, and pho. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The meat quality in the pho was good. Location: The restaurant is in a small shopping center but has plenty of parking. The restaurant was packed which is always a good sign. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated which was great. The restaurant was clean. Hours: This is the only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars. We had gone once before and found the location to be closed even though they were supposed to be open. They're also closed on Sundays which is unfortunate. So I would double check their hours and days before showing up since it seems like they're inconsistent. Overall, I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
My daughter and I love this place. It's always busy which is usually a good sign. We've had a variety of vegetarian and chicken dishes and been happy. Last time I had the egg noodles and veggies with tofu and it was flavorful. The noodles were done perfectly - and the sauce wasn't heavy, too salty, or drowning the food. It was nicely balanced and a good proportion. My daughter had a chicken and vermicelli dish and had enough for lunch the next day. The servers are attentive and friendly. The prices are just fine. We can walk here from home and we will be doing so frequently!

Yelp
I was asking a friend about his favorite place for Pho was and I ended up at Pho Saigon. The place was clean, plenty of people in the restaurant for 2:00 in the afternoon on Saturday but was still seated quickly. Service was quick and informative. The Pho was delicious!! Beef was cooked perfectly, broth was hot and silky, vegetables cooked but firm, and the fresh jalapeño, basil, bean sprouts and lime condiment plate was the final detail. The noodles were exceptional and I was slurping it all down so fast, I literally started sweating. Every bit was wonderful and we enjoyed the entire experience.

Yelp
Words can't express how much I love this place. Since I'm new to the Ventura/Oxnard area, I did not have a pho spot in the area. After asking around I was recommended Pho Saigon by a co worker and it's probably one of the best recommendations I've had in awhile. Pho Saigon itself is a larger Vietnamese resteraunt so usually there is not a wait since they can accommodate at least 20+ tables/families. The menu is great and they have a variety of items. The fried egg rolls are amazing, make sure to get the order with lettuce. The fried crunch along with the fresh lettuce crunch is an amazing combination. We usually order a side of sweet sour with this and it's a killer pairing. One order comes with 4. The friend rice is really good, portion is good enough for a family of 4 to share. I always order the shrimp pho, it's probably the best shrimp pho I've ever had and I've eatin at many vitnemesse resteraunts. Portion is huge for the price and usually I can never finish my bowl. So it just goes to show how special this place really is.

Yelp
I had the #10 and it was delicious. Service was good and the girl that helped me was very nice. It gets packed here around dinner time so I would give yourself ample time to put your name down, but they turn tables quickly and efficiently. Will be coming here again!
