The moment we stepped into this restaurant we knew it will be great. Indeed, the flavor is authentic and the service is friendly and warm. The restroom is clean and comfortable. The price we paid is over what we got. Highly recommend.

Tasty dishes! Our “hot” Jasmine Tea was lukewarm. It’s Clean, just a little dark inside. Service was nice. Reasonable prices too

My hairdresser at BRUSH salon mentioned that she was hungry and was going to ask her boyfriend if he could bring her some pho soup and chicken fried rice from Pho Saigon at 400 Dickinson Street. When I got home I looked it up and decided to order the pho tai Nam soup she’d mentioned. It was probably the most delicious, beautiful soup with the ingredients being the freshest they could be. The bean sprouts were fat and juicy, the basil was still standing up beautifully fresh still on the stalk, the chicken was so lean and sliced so thin like I like it. The broth for me at least was too salty but I just cut it with unsalted beef or chicken broth and it made all the difference. The owner was so kind and helpful as this was my first time ordering and he’d called to make sure they got my online order right. He even called back to go over a refund that was necessary because I’d inadvertently made a mistake when ordering snd there was an $8.00 adjustment Thst needed to be refunded. He asked me how I liked the soup which was thoughtful. It shows the pride they have in their offerings. I will keep coming back for more. I just ordered for my second time and added on chicken fried rice snd lemon chicken as well as lemon grass soup, so for the next few nights I’m all set! Keep up the good work, I’m spreading the word and hope you deliver to Southampton Mass for my son who’d be delighted to become your second happy customer!

A very quiet and homey restaurant with delicious Vietnamese food. The food was consistently the same as it was the first time we tried it and the prices are fairly reasonable. For two people with two appetizers, two beverages, one fried rice and two entrees, the bill was about $80. The waitress was alone and despite that she was very attentive to the patrons. The food came out hot and fresh and she was knowledgeable of the menu. There is street parking so be vigilant of where you are parking. Everything we had was delicious. Clean! Friendly!

My sister sends me here to pick her up Pho soup! She says it clears her up when she feels like she’s getting a little under weather.. This is the only place that makes everything feel better! 💐 Love the customer service and atmosphere! I park across the street where there’s tons of parking!

September 1, 2024 I took my family into Springfield for church and we were going to meet friends for an afternoon discussion and it was too long and too much hassle to go home to Chicopee first, eat then go back to see our friends in Springfield, so we decided we would have lunch at one of our old favorite restaurants in Springfield, Pho Saigon. We had been there many years ago and I had been there in High School on a trip to try "authentic Asian food." Well, memories came flooding back as we saw the VESPA in the window like old times. We went in and the waitstaff was very kind, the floors (especially in the back) were uneven and warped as ever. The menu was pretty normal and I suddenly had a hankering for a big bowl of noodles. The kids wanted a drink in addition and normally I would say no, the water is fine but I knew I would write a review so I decided I would order a few. I was concerned they would deliver the drink in the middle of the meal but they were smart, they made the drink later and gave it to us as I almost finished my noodles. I got the classic bowl of noodles with sliced beef and some veggies too. They bring out a plate filled with stuff and there was no explanation about what to do. That would have been helpful at least for my kids who didn't know. But the assumption is that you've eaten there before. But the stuff they brought was a mix of many things like a vegetable and even some leaves and slices of jalapeno. I ate and ate. It was so good. The waitstaff was very attentive and constantly came to fill our waters and my mother-in-law's hot water. The bowls were so big I ate a little bit of everyone's. It was good yummy food. Finally the drinks came out and we were going to have to run. We got a mango bubble tea and a limeade drink too. I got the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk that came really well done. The milk was thick on the bottom. The coffee had already gone through the coffee maker thing which was resting on the coffee cup itself. I'm a coffee drinker and I didn't know what to do to do it the right way. Thankfully I spoke up. Just a simple: "Have you had our coffee before sir?" would suffice and the customer would admit, No I don't know what to do. The spoon nearby was a great idea to swirl the milk and coffee drink together. Nice colors and then I poured it into the cup of ice. Yum. It was really good. Well done, Pho Saigon. You did it again. Not much seems to have changed over the years which is a good thing. The restaurant was still packed and people coming in and out. Our three kids all ate well and one of our kids has a peanut allergy, the waitstaff told me we don't add that at all! Though the price was hefty, the food was delicious and the bathrooms somewhat clean, Pho Saigon is a much more authentic Asian choice in the X in downtown Springfield. Also special note: careful of your HOISON sauce, my photo looks like it might say POISON!

🌟 Pho Saigon: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Vietnamese Delights! 🌟 I had the pleasure of dining at Pho Saigon, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The pho is out of this world—rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles, making it the best I’ve had in a long time. The Happy Pancake, also known as the Vietnamese pancake, was another highlight. It's no easy feat to make with its crunchy exterior and delicious filling of shrimp and chicken, but they absolutely nailed it. Super healthy and packed with fresh veggies, it’s a must-try! What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service from Quinn. They went above and beyond by giving my son, who has severe autism, toys to play with, making our meal even more enjoyable. Quinn’s attentiveness and kindness truly made our visit special. Highly recommend Pho Saigon for a genuine Vietnamese culinary experience!

i hate to be the type to leave a negative review but i left very disappointed and unsatisfied at food and service today. i put in a to go order and ordered two orders of springrolls and beef skewers and once i arrived to the resturant i added in two taro bobas to go as well. my springrolls were great, no complaints but the beef skewers were ridiculously salty. as for my drinks, the taro was very watered down and tapioca was hard as rock. i was also getting frustrated because why am I waiting 10+ minutes for two drinks?? the restaurant was not busy at all (only one table top of two guests along with another customer picking up a to go order and myself). staff of 4 was just pacing around the restaurant. after waiting for over 10 minutes, i asked a server for a refund in which she implied they’re making it right now only to wait another 5 minutes or so. a 15-20 minute wait for two watered down drinks is ridiculous especially for it not being busy…certain tasks should be done in a timely manner! i would not recommend unless you like slow service.

Yelp
Have been going here since I was a kid and has changed owners a few years ago. Food is still excellent and service is friendly and great. What was awesome was that when we didn't finish and had to bring the rest home. They separated the noodles and broth!!!! Attention to detail so that the noodles would not get soggy. Awesome!

Michael S.

Yelp
Definitely hands down some of the best Vietnamese food in Springfield. Service and ambience are always very attentive, clean and polite that you always feel comfortable and never rushed even when the restaurant is full. Lena makes the best shrimp & pork wontons so I always order them to add to my pho or Bun Bo Hue which are my favorite soups even though they serve a lot of sizzling hot plates to tables which give off a tremendous aroma of lemongrass, ginger & garlic. If you want any help ordering ask for Lena or her brother Sia for their advice you won't regret it and tell them you read the review from wonton man!

Yelp
Our favourite Vietnamese place when we visit Springfield, MA. Great food & service. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great service, but pho and broth is mediocre at best. Average size portions and watered down broth with beef that was tough and chewy and the chicken bland in taste and texture. We had the pork filled summer rolls which leaned on the lighter size in terms of size and weight. The rolls were bland, as was the peanut dipping sauce. If I return, I'll try the rice dishes instead. Street parking only.

Yelp
This is your no frills Vietnamese joint serving you all your comforting dishes on a frigid day. We all wanted something warm and comforting and opted for your standard noodle soups: BUN BO HUE: The broth was lemongrassy and beefy. It would've been nice to have some beef shank and cha in it, but beggars can't be choosers and they gave a generous amount of brisket. I wish had a little more sate in it though, because I felt like the spice level was very mild. PHO DAC BIET: it's an additional $1 for XL, but the serving size is very generous. There were brisket, eye round and tendon loaded in this. The broth was comforting and nourishing especially after a frigid weekend in negative degree weather BUN RIEU: If there's are noodle dishes you're conflicted about getting here, you should get this. I thought the bun rieu broth was the best out of all the noodle soups. It was sweet from the tomatoes and savory from the shrimp paste and seafood. They gave a heaping amount of ground pork and fish tofu. I kept stealing spoonfuls from my friend's bowl! Some of us ordered a sinh to bo and ca phe sua da to keep us alive. These were all very refreshing and completed the entire meal. There's a good amount of Vietnamese places in the area, but this one has made its way to being one of the better ones (IMO) at the moment.

Yelp
After a long drive, we wanted something warm for our cold drive. We luckily found pho saigon in Springfield, NY and woah was it a treat. I absolutely loved my coconut shake because I could taste the real coconut pieces. My friends enjoyed the filling pho options. I opted to try something new - Bun Rieu - ground shrimp/pork, tofu tomato vermicelli soup. It was flavorful and good. I do prefer normal pho over it, but I was very satisfied with our meal. My party and I left very content - recommend this joint if you are craving pho and good shakes in the area!

Yelp
Great place. The service is a bit slow because of chronic short staffing. Hopefully they'll get it resolved.

Manisha T.

Yelp
Terrible service and extremely slow when we were the only customer in the restaurant. It took an hour for us to get our food. Ordered grilled pork, it was burnt, thin piece and placed on a plate full of rice. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Yduong00 ..

Yelp
Service has gone downhill with the change in ownership. Waited some time before utensils were brought out. We ordered Pho #11(brisket with tendons, barely any), #12 (rare beef with some other items but only rare beef). #13 (rare beef with meatballs, the only one that was correct). As for the vegetables that is usually served with the pho, had to be reminded several times before it was brought to us. Also ordered the rice with grilled meat, meat was too salty and dry.

Yelp
Had a craving for Pho and came across this spot. We both ordered pho, me the steak and her the chicken. We also ordered the Spring Rolls with peanut sauce. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were both pretty bland, we didn't finish them. The entrees too a long time to come out. The servers didn't check on us at all while we were waiting for our food either. Once they arrived, there were just okay. Not the worst but far from the best I've had. Kind of bland, the meat was also full of cartilage. Neither of us finished the pho, which isn't common when it's good. As far as the restaurant, it's kind of grimy and dirty. I don't think I'd come back to this spot. Needs some work in all areas to be good.

David H.

Yelp
The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. Best Vietnamese food in the area. We enjoy the Pho. Everything else is good.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! The Pho and spring rolls were delicious. I recommend the spicy lemongrass soup.

Yelp
Love the Pho. There foid is outstanding. Nothing fancy, just good flavor and good quality food. Highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
I was here over the summer on June 4th, 2020 and this place hit the pho out of the park for me. I unfortunately ate at the pho place across the street a few months earlier and this place is by far superior to that place. The depth of flavor in the broth is incredible. It was flavorful enough and well balanced with being overly strong. They were only taking to go orders in June 2020 when I was here. By the time I finished my meal I had to place a call to them to tell them how great I enjoyed the pho. Something they already know of course. The noodles were also not mushy like other places. The bean sprouts were also so fresh. I can't wait to get back here.

Yelp
Fresh food friendly service- definitely worth a visit again and again large varied menu with great choices

Sam S.

Yelp
It's like coming home when visiting here. The staff and atmosphere are great. So welcoming. The food is so tasty and they all do such an amazing job. You can see how hard everyone works and can taste the love they pour into the food.

Yelp
Not bad dishes, and good for group dining. No frills and cool decor. It's pho fall season! Reasonably priced as well and ok location.

Yelp
everything was delicious. I love theToro Boba tea. I had the spring rolls. They were delicious.

Yelp
Sometimes you come across a restaurant with endless glowing reviews, but after tasting it for yourself, you leave wondering whether your taste buds suddenly went defective or if everyone else went nuts. I went to my local Vietnamese church the next day, and the homemade pho they were selling for fundraising blew Pho Saigon's away. I hate to put down a small local business, but the "best in New England" reviews regarding one of my favorite dishes stuck out to me. The pho broth is bland. Bland as in I need to empty out the hoisin and Sriracha bottles at the table when I normally use minimal amounts. The portion of meat given is less than in any bowl I've ever had. However, there was a good amount of noodles. The bun bo hue is overly salty, bland, and tastes and looks as if they dumped powder into water instead of making it properly. The positives include the service. The staff is friendly, check up on you to refill your water, and the food was brought out quickly. The restaurant is clean, and I didn't have any issues finding parking during peak dinner hours. Hopefully I just came here during an off night.

Yelp
This is the best Pho is Springfield! I've been going for years. Clarissa is absolutely amazing and so sweet remembers me everytime 10/10 lemongrass pho and 10/10 service the taro boba is the best in the city definitely would recommend

Yelp
Service was great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food came out fast and hot! The flavors were on point. Will return to try other dishes.

Yelp
Amazing food - the menu & flavors transport you to Vietnam! Been there and this is the memory when you are enjoying the food.

Yelp
So happy to have authentic food with such a cute little restaurant here in springfield ! I will be back, service was surprisingly fast especially since they were really busy with take out and sit-ins. 10/10
google avatar

Enit S.

Yelp
I really wanted our experience at Pho Saigon to be more than it was. I think the problem is that they're so busy and severely understaffed. Our waitress was the cook/ bus boy/and server; the poor girl, and despite all that she had a smile on her face and was always nice so I give her huge respect for that. We were here for like 2 hours from the time we sat down, all because of how long everything took. It wasn't just us either, there were others around us too commenting on how long things were taking, maybe someone was out sick or on vacation for the holidays? Anyway, if this were the only issue but alas, it was not. my Veg pho was honestly nothing to write home about and contained flavoring slightly above that of boiled hot water, like bland, SUUUPER BLAND. Yikes, it's painful just to think back on it. At least the summer rolls were delicious and my mom enjoyed her ginger chicken meal, but I don't think any one of us is in a hurry to come back.
google avatar

Sho R.

Yelp
I took out dinner from here. They gave no utensils or napkins. Plus the packing was a disaster. Spicy beef w/ Satay sizzling plate was good. It was a dish with a lot of liquid in it. And it was packed in a styroform box. It dripped all over my dress and car. They should have put that in a leak proof container. Hot pot with chicken was also good. Actually I wanted to go for hot pot with salmon. It seem that is a traditional dish and very salty, and has a lot of fish sauce. So decided to go with chicken instead. Happy pancake didn't have a lot of flavors. It was ok though.

Yelp
I was craving a little taste of home (Hawaii) and was looking for a good pho restaurant in the area as my work area (Maine) didn't have the kind of pho I was used to. I took a chance while driving around Springfield and decided to try this place after someone claimed it had the best Pho in the New England area. When i entered the restaurant, I was welcomed by many awards they won. The parking is little confusing around the restaurant and I missed the restaurant the first time I passed it. Best place to park is on the street in front of the restaurant as the parking lots around the restaurant you risk the chance of getting towed. Once I parked, I was quickly greeted by one of the friendly staff. I got a menu and quickly ordered the extra large combo pho. I liked the fact that they didn't have tripe, as I don't like to eat organ meat. I also ordered a crispy spring rolls and an avocado boba shake for dessert to go. The spring rolls came out quickly and wasn't how I am used to it. In Hawaii, it is usually served with a lettuce wrap with some pickled radish and carrot slices with a fish sauce. These were served plain with just a dipping sauce. The spring rolls were good but not great, in my opinion. The Pho came out soon after that. The pho came with very little basil and bean sprouts, one slice of lime, and one jalapeno slice. I had to ask for more jalapeno and would have preferred more veges in general but I'm sure it is very expensive to have those vegetables around the year unlike in Hawaii. The waitress brought me more jalapeno and I made my pho mix with some sriracha and some hoison sauce. The Pho was very good and I enjoyed the pho very much. Very much comparable to a good Hawaii restaurant. Overall, the restaurant is very good both for food and service. The avocado boba shake was also very good and the price of the meal didn't break my wallet either. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want very good pho and great service.

Yelp
Love this place, especially the Bún (vermicelli bowls) and vegetarian fresh rolls. We were particularly impressed by their VERY careful attention to protocol during the pandemic as well - kept a lot of us coming back.
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Pros-Great service. Pho and the rice dishes tasted good. Price is reasonable Cons-portion is a tad small (my opinion)

Laura B.

Yelp
Great food. very friendly staff. The location is not the best however, the ambience makes you feel like you're in a different place. Food is cooked order and it's one not to pass up.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
I've been here once a few years back while visiting family. Now living here I HAD to come back and thankfully they were open for lunch. I ordered a bunch of shrimp spring rolls and a brisket pho bowl and omg, once again I'm impressed by the high quality and service I've received from Pho Saigon. Pho bowls are my definition of "feel good food" and this literally made my day so much better. 5/5* absolutely amazing. I'll definitely be coming back regularly

Amy L.

Yelp
Was looking for a place to have dinner by myself and decided to go based on the great reviews (and craving for Vietnamese iced coffee). First time there today and the staff were friendly, offering the perfect amount of attention without hovering. Never felt rushed. Got the beef on onion skewer for an app and marinated pork with rice for an entrée, along with the iced coffee I was craving. Everything was wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable. Would definitely eat or get takeout from here again while in the area!
google avatar

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Shrimp rolls were fresh. People seem to like eating here. I hope too come back and try something else.

Art A.

Yelp
Service was efficient. We got the fresh spring rolls for an appetizer. They really weren't fresh and they had no flavor. Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting they had gone bad or were old. But nothing was fresh about them either. Had to be made a few days ago. Both of us settled on Pho. Mine had brisket and rare steak. She got a vegetarian version. The brisket was pretty good, the steak was tough and tasteless. Both of the pho broths needed significant seasoning, including asking for and getting a bit of chili oil. The plate of add in sprouts, jalapeño and basil was haphazard at best. No care taken, the jalapeño sliver kind of embarrassing, the basil not Thai and obviously kept too cold, etc. It was not a bad meal. If I was in the neighborhood, I'd probably consider another pho spot in Springfield to try or just go to the far superior one in Easthampton. This was my second visit, and again I want to stress there was nothing bad about the meal. There's just nothing that makes me necessarily want to go back.

The Ayers A.

Yelp
The best Pho in the area. Always friendly and fast service. I love the lemongrass spicy chicken pho along with the spring rolls. An absolute staple in Springfield!

Tom K.

Yelp
Great food. Reasonable prices. My mouth waters just thinking about the pho. What more do you need.

Ari W.

Yelp
I've had more good than bad experiences but as of late the quality seems to have gone down. My go to is the lemongrass pho, and spring rolls. The flavor was good during my last trip, but the meat quality was lacking. Service is always great and the restaurant itself is very cute.

Michael C.

Yelp
I enjoyed a great grilled blackened mahi-mahi (which is catfish I believe) at Pho Saigon with a friend. Great food! Nice Servers.. I'd definitely go back. A++

Hannah T.

Yelp
As a Vietnamese person who always ordering Bun Bo Hue at every Vietnamese restaurants my taste for Bun Bo Hue never changed, but today I was so disappointed about the authenticity of the Bun Bo Hue I had in here. The broth is so salty and didn't taste authentic at all.It supposed to be cooked in a long time , also the portion was so little mostly broth and couple thin slices of meat. I gave one more star as the service was good and food came out so quick. I know this was only my experience with the Bun Bo Hue and Pho, but these two are our traditional Vietnamese food and I expected they have to be at least 7/10 when I read the reviews. Probably because it was close to the closing time so the broth was salty? Anyways hope they'll improve in the future

John F.

Yelp
Never tried Vietnamese food before. Coworker took me here and while it wasn't in the best area of Springfield, it also wasn't unsafe. The food was awesome. We had three apps and I had the garlic beef with vegetables.and rice (#50 on the menu, I believe). You've got to try this place. Everything was delicious.
google avatar

Levi S.

Yelp
I have had Vietnamese food many times before Massachusetts, Michigan, and in DC. I don't think there is a wrong way to make this stuff. I recommend anything that says hot pots, the spring rolls, and the Bu'n vermicelli southern style pork w/ fish sauce!
google avatar

Charmaine C.

Yelp
Pleasant customer service, as always. Food is great as well. All their choices for soups are equally delicious & huge! I also like their pork plate (#45 I believe) Will always come back here.
google avatar

Rich L.

Yelp
Pure comfort food, the pho is so good. Authentic and crave worthy. Staff very accommodating.

Skya V.

Yelp
never had soup like this before, very authentic. I went for the first time, fell in love and wont stop going. usually service is slow because there are only two people but they do great every time. the ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, it makes you feel like you're home.
google avatar

Deb C.

Yelp
Everything on their menu that we have tried is amazing. We have our favorites though. Love the lemongrass soup with tofu and vermicelli with crispy tofu. It's the best place to get healthy vegan food. Everything is so light and fresh. We love the owners and staff too. It means a lot when you're remembered by name.

Martin M.

Yelp
Nice clean quaint setting staff are very polite and friendly the food is terrific and prices are very reasonable, I have lunch here every time I visit Springfield
google avatar

Autumn D.

Yelp
Staff friendly, really clean place. The appetizer is really good. The coffee is great. However, the reason why i give 3 because the "BUN BO HUE" is totally wrong... this is not the traditional way... I didn't feel I'm eating BUN BO HUE.
google avatar

Bea T.

Yelp
This is a gem in Springfield! If you like Vietnamese food, you have to come here. I am pretty much sure you are going to have a wonderful dining experience. The spring rolls and marinated beef were amazing appetizers and I ordered a nice cold dish with vermicelli noodles with beef which is very traditional in Vietnam. Delicious and I had the super sweet server who was incredibly accommodating. I'm not entirely sure if this is a family business but I was very happy there with my family. And I was incredibly excited they had the best durian Shake. I only recommend this if you can handle a durian.

Yelp
Usually get this delicious pho for take out. Have tried the fried egg rolls as well. Pho options include, beef, chicken, and shrimp. Always packed and ready when I arrive to pick up my order.
