The Best Underrated, Hidden Gem Restaurants in Portland | Eater Portland

"Portland reader Jacky Tran recommended this Southeast 82nd strip mall pho shop, which did not disappoint: The broth here arrives with jewels of fat, revealing a delicate-yet-deeply flavorful broth brightened with lime and herbs. Both the chicken and beef broths are worth an order; the restaurant relies on a recipe from the Portland shop’s namesake, originally located in Ho Chi Minh City." - Eater Staff

Maybe the best pho broth I’ve had in Portland. The rare steak was delicious, the brisket was fall apart tender and fatty, and the tripe was great. Service was fine, nothing like the other reviews, but I was the only customer there.

The pho here is pretty good, and the iced coffee too. But the customer service from the workers makes for an unpleasant visit. They are not the friendliest or are eager to help service the customers. I asked for extra condiments and it took several times until they brought it out. And even then, their actions doing so was not the best. Plenty of Pho places in SE to try, will not return.

I really wanted to like this place because the food isn’t bad, but the customer service was awful. The staff seemed completely uninterested in helping and acted like we were bothering them just by being there. We waited a long time before anyone even acknowledged us, and when we asked simple questions about the menu, the responses were short and dismissive. No smiles, no courtesy, just attitude. Definitely not worth the frustration — there are plenty of other spots nearby that actually appreciate their customers.

Amazing! Go! First time a Pho Sai Gon Xua I had the Pho tai, nam , gan. I always get this at all of the many Pho shops everywhere from PDX to Vietnam and everywhere in between. And this is definitely among the very best. The broth is excellent, the right proportion of salty and sweet but not to much of either. Beefy , rich broth. There was a generous portion of meat and gan in the Pho as well. Service was fast and efficient. Price was reasonable , especially considering the superior quality. Handicap accessible but tight quarters inside. Delicious Again GO!!!

Food is amazing. Dont come for service, its an authentic mom & pop shop. Best pho in town

Our favorite phở place in Oregon! They have the best beef phở broth and we love the atmosphere. It’s also conveniently located next to one of our favorite bubble tea shops!

They moved from the old location in Tigard inside Hmart and are now off SE 82nd/Foster in the SF Supermarket Plaza, it's out of my way but won't stop me from coming here, the Pho is still so good and I'm so happy to see them with a restaurant and their own space..

Best pho broth in Portland. Honestly better than any broth I had in Vietnam either.
