A Hidden Phở Gem Worth the Search
This small phở shop is tucked away on a side street and easy to miss, but finding it is well worth the effort.
The broth is rich, layered, and deeply aromatic, clearly simmered with care. You get all the right accompaniments — fresh garlic, chili, and light, non-greasy quẩy, fried properly and perfect for dipping.
There is a good selection of beef cuts, with the classic choice between tái (rare) and chín (fully cooked). What really stands out, especially for the Old Quarter, is the generously sized portion of meat, noticeably larger than what most nearby places serve.
Service is friendlier than average for Hanoi, and the seating is less cramped than in many similar spots, making the whole experience more relaxed.
Overall, a very good phở place, slightly hidden, well run, and definitely worth returning to.
