"The menu at the friendly family-run Pho Tai is divided into Vietnamese and Thai entrees, with a little teriyaki too. Potato curry, green curry, and drunken noodles are some of the best dishes, and there are five levels of spiciness. Take off some of the heat with a Thai iced tea." - Monica Williams

"Pho Tai is often overshadowed by similar peers in town, but this no-frills, strip mall restaurant is one of the top pho spots in Madison Heights. Pho — with no less than 13 beef variations — comes in large, extra large, and extra-extra large sizes. There’s even a vegan option. The specials menu features delicacies such as catfish or pork belly in a clay pot and roasted quail. While the restaurant is offering dine-in service, customers can also place orders by phone for takeout." - Eater Staff, Dorothy Hernandez

I have honestly tried about 8-10 different other spots for PHO. No other place does it like pho thai. The quality is unreal, it’s good every single time. It doesn’t smell fucky or lack flavor. It’s a bowl full of love and warmth and everything you’d want out of pho. If you are looking for a spot, try this!! You’ll love it

Such a big disappointment on the pho house special and the customer service. I told my waitress that I only found 1 piece of tendon in my pho and she asked to use a chopstick to dig up in around my pho to COUNT how many tendon she can find as if I was lying to her. After the waitress got done searching for the 1 piece and a not even half piece, she called it two pieces she found. If you want pho, please drive 10 more seconds to Little Saigon and you will experience what real Pho is. And if it matters, pho tai do charge automatic tip if you’re dining in for 4 person.

Good Vietnamese & thai restaurant near by...we tried two times so far..we loved the food..my personal opinion is there is plenty of options for people who eat pork and beef..but not for chicken eaters..the option was very less. Apart from that service and ambience was good...

Food was good overall. No real complaints besides not carrying chicken satay. Crab Wonton was excellent and different breading from what I’m use to with crab Rangoon. Seasoned inside and the breading was fluffy & dense. Wasn’t a fan of the dressing for the Vermicelli bowl #15 I had. Healthy choice minus the deep fried egg roll! Prices were decent and affordable. Staff extremely helpful providing recommendations. Would recommend checking out this place. Will be back for the crab cheese wonton.

For the value it is well worth it. Has always been my go to place for pho. I have dined in this place several times and I can say they are very consistent with the taste. Atmosphere is okay, dated and the outside appearance doesn’t speak much but don’t let it fool you since the food inside is really tasty and the proportion is good

We're in town just for couple of nights and figure that we want to have some Pho, and we definitely came to the right place! We both ordered Pho Dac Biet. Also ordered Fresh Rolls and Pot Sticker. None of them were disappointing. Their Chili Oil is so good!

First of all, this place looks small on the outside but is incredibly spacious. They are immediately welcoming. The food is wonderful. Hmong Papaya Salad is brilliant with lots of fish sauce and just the right amount of spice. Fried catfish curry is filled with fresh veggies and a beautiful curry sauce. Definitely worth a visit.
