Pho Tien may have Michelin recognition, but it still carries the quiet energy of a place locals would rather keep to themselves. Tucked away and unassuming, it feels like you’ve stumbled into a spot that rewards those who seek it out.
We ordered the “Special,” their signature chicken pho served with all the traditional fixings: tender pulled chicken, liver, heart, blood cake, and chochin. Each component adds its own texture and richness, making the bowl feel layered and deeply comforting. It arrives with crisp Chinese fried bread and a basket of fresh herbs and greens, ready to be mixed in to your liking.
The broth is clean, fragrant, and beautifully balanced, and the entire experience feels both familiar and quietly elevated.
If you’re exploring Hanoi’s pho scene, do yourself a favor and try Pho Tien. Michelin may have found it, but it still feels like a delicious secret worth sharing.
