Pho U Vietnamese Cuisine is absolutely amazing! The food is packed with flavor and tastes super fresh. The pho is rich and comforting, and the grilled pork chop is perfectly seasoned and tender. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.

This place was amazing! Traveling through on our way somewhere else, but worth a stop! Everything came out fresh and hot. The pork is done wonderfully (especially the summer rolls). I had the shaking beef and I couldn’t get enough. If you live here or traveling through and love or like Vietnamese food, please stop here!

This is the BEST restaurant in the area!! Seriously y’all, give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed. We got the fresh spring rolls, lemongrass tofu rice plate, and shaken tofu noodle bowl. They were all SOO YUMMY and the portions were giant! This place is amazing. 😋🤤

Just tried for the first time... OH MY GOD! This was the best Pho I've had! And my husband enjoyed the steak and eggs. Will be back!

This is the perfect place to satisfy or try Pho in LA I have came across thus far. The spring rolls are also a must. The hospitality is superb. The presentation is fantastic. I will definitely be here again.

This will always be my favorite pho. There is no other pho this authentic. I had food poisoning and wasn’t able to eat for 2 days, but I was able to eat pho.

Impromptu trip to Alexandria and I stopped to my favorite place. The food is incredible and the services is top notch. Chris and LaTonya always take care of me. Chris knows my order by heart. Fabulous place!! Stop by anytime you’re there. You will love it!

CHECK YOUR CARD CHARGE! I love the summer rolls from here, but I don't think I will be able to return after a recent experience. I ordered a carryout order of the summer rolls, and the server decided to put in a tip that I did not leave. Luckily I kept my copy of the receipt to dispute the charge. Although the additional amount wasn't much, it's concerning to know that they may charge you more than you paid for. Pictures included of my receipt and the card statement showing the 20% tip was selected. Very disappointing.

Amazing food that is very authentic. Get the shrimp noodle bowl. Substitute the noodles for salad/lettuce. Then add peanuts and peanut sauce. The dressing is an amazing oil sauce that is somewhat sweet, light, and flavorful. My son likes the teriyaki steak appetizer. It comes on a bed of lettuce with peanuts. My husband likes the fried veggie spring roll appetizer. Great restaurant and people.

I came here twice in a week when I was in the area. I like to order the vermicelli bowls from most Vietnamese restaurants so I ordered a grilled pork with egg roll vermicelli bowl and it was a good size with a lot of vermicelli and veggies on it. It was not really authentic flavors but it was pretty tasty and it's usually busy. The staff was really nice and friendly however they got my order wrong the first time and charged me more than what I ordered. But overall a good Vietnamese spot in the area and I definitely recommend locals and visitors to come

My second time here, and once again, I was very satisfied with the food and service. Located in a strip-mall type location with plenty of tight straight parking, but it's worth the visit, especially with their Vietnamese Bakery next door. Very quiet atmosphere with both open seating and more private tables. I had the choice where I wanted to sit. I always go for Pho and Spring Rolls. This time, I was more adventurous and went for the Summer Rolls. The BBQ pork and fresh vegetables along with the peanut sauce were amazing and the Pho was exactly what I needed to fill me up on a cold day.

Great food and service. We tried the pan fried dumplings, bún with tofu, bún with chargrilled shrimp and egg roll, and pho Thai. Cool, airy interior. Perfect for getting out of the heat.

Pho U Vietnamese Cuisine is always a welcome option when I spend a couple of nights in Alexandria. It's got a very respectable selection of classic Vietnamese dishes, which are well prepared, and sold for a fair price. They also have helpful staff, so what's not to like about that? They are located slightly off McArthur in a small strip mall located on a side street. This facility has an ample parking lot, with handicapped access. The interior has great futuristic lighting fixtures, and comfortable seating. I personally like to dine in, but it's easy to see that they do a brisk takeout and delivery business. So what's to eat, pretty much all your Vietnamese favorites. I suggest starting off with some Spring or Summer Rolls, but there are other great options. Rice bowls are always a great and light option. For the timid, there are fried rices. But for the Vietnamese fans, the Pho is the way to go. Pho is of course the signature soup dish that comes with a variety of options. There are other great soups as well. It's easy to understand their menu, so exploration can be fun. Pho U is a great option for the Alexandria food scene. I think they compare favorably to Vietnamese restaurants in bigger and more cosmopolitan cities. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

Love this place! Love the renovations they have done inside! Ordered the P9 and it was amazing!

This area is very limited on anything ethnic other than Mexican and even that is only TexMex. This restaurant is a fresh change.

The dining experience was impressive. My daughter and I ordered the shrimp fried rice and the short ribs, paired with summer rolls as our appetizer, and the meal was impeccable. We will definitely return for more. Signed: Perfectly_imperfect

A great little local place for Vietnamese food! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was nice. I got the pho with beef flank and it was just what I wanted! Delicious and filling! A great price for a large bowl and the rest of the dishes have to be good. Definitely a place to check out if you visit Alexandria

Absolutely amazing food. The pho is outstanding and pork chop dinner whatever they marinate it in that taste like teriyaki meat, but it is so delicious My Husband eat it every time we come to Alexander I recommended go try it out. I guarantee you will love it.

Took my daughter to eat yesterday and my server (Latonya Ann is the name on the receipt) was very rude, had a horrible attitude, and acted as if we were a bother. She sat down and didn't bother to check on us after getting our food. The other guy working was very nice to us. The food was good. Just need better customer service and better attitudes.

Good pho, great taste and temp. I ordered through yelp and was ready in 10 min. Lots of noodles and sprouts and tender flavorful meat!

Best pho I ever had. from out of state and I tried this place for some comfort food, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Staff is very friendly and kind. They have comfortable seating and TVs.

The food is not bad. I'm sure of it but the service is horrible. The wait time is ridiculous and what's so bad is they'll never take accountability for their wrongdoing. No more business for me or anyone in my family again. It's just ridiculous for people to wait almost an hour for an online order, especially when they drive from so far away.

If I could put a 10 out of 5, I would... authentic flavors and fresh ingredients, with the care and love of home style cooking... you can never go wrong coming here.

This food was really good. My noodle bowl was full.of freshly grated carrots, lettuce, cilantro and cucumbers. It is very difficult to find really fresh food in lots of Louisiana eateries unless it is first deep fried. While it is true that the noodle bowl came with little fried egg rolls, I feel sure that they would have substituted chunks of tofu if I had asked. This was my first pho noodle bowl that included egg roll, and the crunch was nice, but the next time I am in Alec I will opt to sub tofu as they had chunks of it in their delicious vegetarian spring rolls. My friend had a beef/steak bowl that she also thought was delicious. After our Popeyes biscuits at breakfast we needed this refreshing meal (though those biscuits were ) It was easy to find and parking was ample. Service was great. So happy we found it and it was open on Sunday.

I can honestly recommend the Spicy Pho! Everything had always been very fresh and quite delicious and authentic. It is one of my town staples.

This restaurant serves up your typical Vietnamese food in a nice clean environment. We were greated with a smile and were promptly sat down with menus and drink orders. I decided to go for the grilled pork with egg rolls over vermicelli noodles and also got a kids pho bo vien, and a rice plate. The food came out in no time and was looking quite appealing. The grilled pork over the noodles tasted great and was nicely seasoned and the meat portions were just right. After adding some chili sauce into the fish sauce provided I quickly mixed it all up and drenched it all over my noodles and mixed it all incorporating everything together. Quick time first bite! The dish merrily made me smile everything paired great from each other and complimented everything from the fresh herbs, pickled carrots, finely sliced cucumbers, and the crunchy peanuts along with the crispy golden fried egg rolls. I took a sip of my kids pho and the broth was quite tasty and the noodles were cooked al'dente to the tooth and the staff was great in providing scissors to cut the noodles to make the eating process easier. They gave some nice size meatballs and the egg roll was a nice treat as well. They didn't give any fresh herbs Iike thai basil, bean sprouts, or fresh lime but I'm sure they would have if we asked. The rice plate was awesome once again and the nice runny egg was the star of the show eated over some rice and pickled veggies. Most rice plates come with a small soup broth with green onions and cilantro but at this particular restaurant it wasn't provided. The meat loaf and egg loaf weren't to appetizing and seemed a bit dry and not as fresh but it will do. Overall pretty tasty spot in Alexandria for Vietnamese food and it seems like the community enjoyed it too considering it was fairly crowded when we showed up. Cheers Happy Yelping!

We were on our way back to Dallas from Destin, and had a craving for pho. We found this place in the middle of nowhere, so our expectations were very low. To our surprise, the food here is legit. I would say it's better than many pho places around the Dallas area. We will definitely be making a stop here in the future should we pass through Alexandria LA!!

Well, I was in the mood for pho and decided to come here with a friend. We were seated and served quickly but the pho broth didn't have much flavor and the pork dumplings didn't either. Furthermore, there really wasn't much beef in my pho. I'm sure there are other restaurants in the area that have those same dishes and are more flavorful. The pho spots in Houston, NYC, and Miami are definitely more tasty. As a matter of fact, I had to put a lot of sriracha in my pho because if not it would've tasted just like water. I've been here before and it was way better.

Prompt service, fantastic food, friendly staff. My bf and I each got a shrimp noodle bowl and it was delicious!! Also, the Thai tea and flavored teas are fantastic

The meal was made fast--we called ahead and it was ready in 15 minutes. Loved the veggie pho in beef broth. Had to transport it home to eat and it travelled well. No leftovers! Nice place to grab dinner!

0 stars. Pho wasn't good, their menu was not current on prices and they wouldn't honor what their menu said. The waitress promised extra shrimp in exchange for the fried fish and extra was not brought. Proceeding this, she said some awful things within my earshot range and never even returned for more water or anything. Do not come here.

Today we wanted to try some boba. This is one of the only places In Alexandria that has boba so we came here. We were really disappointed on the the service. We were the only people in the entire restaurant and they took 30 minutes to make the drinks. They were really good drinks but not worth the service.

When your kids finish their siblings' food, and go after yours, you know it's good. I wanted something different than the typical Cajun Louisiana cuisine. So, when my son saw that there was a place that had Boba tea, he jumped on that opportunity. I had a mixed beef pho, my son had a kids chicken pho (broth, noodles, and meat only), and my daughter had a chicken rice plate. We also left with a bubble tea each. I had a classic milk tea with boba and coffee jelly, the boy had a peach tea with popping boba, and the girl had peach tea and Boba. I'm actually looking forward to coming back through Alexandria for once. This place is awesome.

I recently returned and relocated to Alexandria. It was a pleasant surprise to find a Pho restaurant! Mr. Phu is great at customer service and recommendations. I have eaten there 2 times and I am enjoying discovering their unique flavorful menu. I especially liked the spicy soup special.The restaurant is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend asking for Mr. Phu to you with your selections. :-)

Food was excellent I had the pho P8,service was fast and courteous on the small size but clean.

I'm so sad.... My friend and I came here and I ordered everything!! Spring rolls with pork, grilled pork bahn mi and a large pho tai. And then... It happened! I got violently ill that night and the whole next day! I'm guessing it was one of the meats because my friend was perfectly fine. (She's a vegetarian) I was super bummed because I spent around $30 so I could have leftovers for dinner. I threw everything out and couldn't eat anything for about 48hours after going here. The service was amazing! I'm so sad this happened.

This place was a nice break from all of the fantastic Cajun cuisine and we could ask for better! Our waiter Kevin was the best you hope for. He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and a real gentleman. The food was fresh and fantastic. We highly recommend this place!!! Thanks Kevin!!!

Our meal was delicious. They said pork was their best seller and we could tell why. Service was great as well. Would definitely return.

if you're in Alexandria and crave good authentic Vietnamese Food( the dishes on the menu are named in Vietnamese). Ordered Bun Bo Hue, outstanding lemongrass flavor and the Mi Xao Don Crispy noodles spot on with texture of noodles and light flavorful sauce. ask for Nicole, cute waitress with true Southern Hospitality!

The food was genuinely amazing. Definitely overshadowed any deficiency people could attempt to mention. Love places like this in Alexandria! Will probably return tomorrow

Love this PHO! We always have the same waiter and she's an absolute gem! Wish the appetizers were bigger such as more wings and dumplings for the price. The pho is always so good and really enjoy our time there

The food here is wonderful. Even though I'm still sad they took the beef stew off the menu, I love the Lemongrass Beef Egg-roll noodle bowl, it is delicious. The shrimp noodle bowl is also a big win for me. My husband and I can not get enough of their tofu spring rolls and we always have to order some to-go. I can't leave out the main attraction, the Pho. They have so many different options when it comes to the Pho here. With lots of different meats and seafoods to choose from. It's a nice, quiet, little restaurant with a modern feel and the service is great. Though it is not a fast food restaurant, it usually is ready pretty quickly. So, if you're stopping in for a quick lunch you can usually get in, eat and get out in 30 minutes. This is my go to lunch destination when I'm in Alexandria. I love this place so much.

I had a chicken pho and asked to substitute shredded cabbage for the noodles since I'm on a ketogenic diet. They happily did this for me. Though legitimately the pho would be tastier with the noodles, it was still quite good. I did find that the chicken was stringy and a bit tough as if it was from an older hen and boiled too long. I recently enjoyed some pho in Los Angeles and it had more ingredients added such as a hard boiled egg- would have liked that here. I also had spring rolls with pork. The pork was marinated and tasty though not very tender. Also there were a few little gummy masses of rice paper in the wrap that I had to spit out. For these reasons, I can't give this little place a 4 or 5 star rating. Some of the photos here of other dishes look quite good- so I may branch out on the menu next time I stop in. The decor was full of crazy fun bling and the restaurant was tidy and clean.

Had horrible service yesterday . Rude staff . When checked out , prices were higher than indicated on menu and would not honor prices on menu. Stated it was due to inflation . Have had prices increased twice recently on menu and still higher than that listed ! Manager disinterested in rudeness of staff and price raising at check out. Will never go back ! My husband and I were in Alexandria from Houston for a weekend retreat. On the way home, we were hungry and found Pho U for lunch. We each had pho, shared egg rolls, and husband had a pork banh mi. All super delicious! Nice little Vietnamese food fix.

First time eating here... Ordered pho tai and some spring rolls, will update review when done eating. I was pretty pleased with the pho here. One of the most important factors in a good bowl of pho is the broth. It should be light, flavorful, and not salty. This fit the bill. I would have to say they need to work a little on the beef; my pho tai had beef that was fully cooked to the point that it had curled up into little clumps. It should be thin slices of rare beef. I'm going to attribute it to the fact they were extremely busy that night as this is their first week in business. I'm not going to complain though, I'm really happy that there's finally a Vietnamese restaurant in CenLa, and that their pho is on point. I will definitely be returning here to try some of their bahn mi and the combo plates.

Best place for pho in central Louisiana. Lived in Alexandria for a year and couldn't go a week without having a bowl of their pho at least twice!

Food is great, excellently priced and consistent. Great presentation inside and for takeout. Fresh ingredients. I was shocked to see how pretty my pho setup was in the takeout box. A large pho is plenty for my boyfriend and I. Good service as well.
