"At this casual Vietnamese restaurant in the Strip District, you’ll find punny pop art posters on the walls, including one that says “Pho King Delicious.” We really appreciate their dedication to the puns, almost as much as we appreciate their phở with a rich broth that’s been simmered for days. This family-run establishment has a variety of soupy dishes with just as many proteins like tripe, meatballs, and sliced beef, along with a great chicken phở. Beyond the soup, try some grilled plates, like chicken teriyaki, which are also full of flavor and make for great leftovers to eat throughout the week. Have lunch here before spending the rest of the day exploring all the shops and grocers in the neighborhood. " - Elaine Zedack

Google
The food was 4 out of 5. Generally I'd be sad at 4 out of 5 pho. Cause who has time for less than 5 stat pho? Alas, the service got me. I am such a sucker for great service. And when you're nice to my toddler. F it. 5 stars. And so, I'll be back. Because the pho is delicious. Not in my top 10 pho experiences. But the service definitely was. And when you show love to kid and have good food. Oh yeah. Take my money. I'll be back.

Google
Absolutely excellent pho and variations. Exquisitely prepared broth provided the basis for each delicious bowl. It is a small family run operation using quality ingredients in a basic atmosphere. If you need posh and stylish surroundings, this is not the place for you. If you want great pho, get there quickly!

Google
My new favorite restaurant. As a viet myself, the food is very authentic tasting and fresh. The staff is very kind as well! Pho Ga - 10/10 Bun Thit Nuong - 10/10

I’m Vietnamese and this place has the best authentic pho in the area! The broth is so rich and flavorful. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Google
Cash only. Pho pretty good, very large bowls. Wife had vegetarian pho which was great, but she had to doctor it up with hoisin and sriracha for flavor. We thought we ordered Spring Rolls w tofu, but they came out w no tofu. Just noodles and a couple bean sprouts. I had the Bun Bo Hue. Very yummy. Comes w pork knuckle, you can prolly sub that out as it is a bit gamy. Vegetables w the pho was drooping basil and cilantro. Yuck.

Google
I’ve been coming here for years, and I still believe it is the most well-balanced, most authentic pho that you can get in the DMV. They are consistently good and the portions are always decent. Last time I checked they only accept cash, but that might have changed since they recently have had new management. I usually pay in cash here anyways out of habit. The atmosphere could use some work, but if you are here for the food then you chose the right pho spot.

If you want pho from somewhere that cares about making it authentic and feel like a homemade meal. Come here. The owners are so friendly and the pho is so tasty and filling. I will be coming back plenty.

Wow! This pho is the best I’ve had since my travels in Vietnam and I think a little bit better. Fresh ingredients, great viet flavors, great prices, and authentic. You can tell that they take pride in their food at Pho Van. Family run for over 22 years! If you’re looking for great authentic Vietnamese food, definitely give this Gem a try! 10/10

Yelp
One of the authentic Vietnamese Pho place in town. This place used to be cash only but not anymore since people left the restaurant to get cash from their car and never came back. What a shame! These folks are family owned and very friendly. I love how their Pho broth is actually hot unlike few other Pho places. I will definitely come back for different dishes.

Yelp
Everything!! The best Pho around!! Service is fast & efficient!! Always a favorite when I worked at Mercedes!!

Pha L.

Yelp
Rude older vietnamese lady, seemed to have an attitude. Pretended not to understand us. Food was ok , I've had better pho. Will never go back!

Tony L.

Yelp
10/10 recommended. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place. It's been my go-to spot. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. It's clean, it's good, and the owner is amazing! The Bun Bo Hue and side dishes are especially fantastic.

Yelp
Came back to Pho Van for the first time in years last night (my favorite pho place is closed on Tuesdays, and I had a hankering). Figured I'd update my review. Got some pho, obviously. The broth is good, with a slight sweetness. They still are extremely generous on the amount of meat they put in the bowl. They do offer a vegan pho with tasty broth and lots of vegetables and cubes of tofu. As far as takeout goes, they mix the hoisin and sriracha sauces in one container, so if you only want one, be ready for that. Other than that, it's a standard pho with the usual accoutrements. Also got lemongrass chicken with rice. Nice bit of smokiness, with the classic sweet and pungent fish sauce dip. I got the quail appetizer again and it's a bit smaller than I remembered from my last visit. Quail's not a meaty bird, but this one seemed extra stringy; I'll probably skip this in the future. The marinate on it is still pretty solid. While they do have dine in, everyone was picking up for takeout (love in the times of Coronavirus, ya know?). They are still CASH ONLY, though I heard the manager tell one customer that they also accept Venmo. Like I mentioned, they're not my absolute favorite, but they do have some reliably good pho.

Yelp
So I've been vaccinated for everything except the flu this season and I finally got sick after 3 years of absolutely nothing. So when my kids heard that I was under the weather, the youngest asks in family chat what pho I like. Everyone immediately responded 12 large. I've tried all the others but I like the simple 12 large (just beef). But there was one problem. Pho Van only takes cash and he was a dollar short. So he failed. I've had other friends go there without cash and they would say just bring it back later but I didn't want to put my son or the owner in that position. So now my son is out of my will. Then my daughter stepped up after work and went out of her way to pick it up for me. She back in the will after earlier transgressions. I don't know what they do to their broth but it is the best broth in this area bar none. I've tried almost every pho (insert #) places and this place beats them all. Yes it is out of our way but my kids know better than to pick up pho from any other place.

Todd V.

Yelp
They've been in business 20+ years. Spent $32 on small #17 and large #15 to go. Not sure why some reviews say cash only- they took my credit card without issue. Prices could be better, but good pho. Nice people. Fast service (~ 5 minutes).

Jerry H.

Yelp
So, when the temperature is 32f / 0c, what better way to put a smile on your face and some warmth in your tummy than a big bowl of Pho Ga, Vietnamese chicken noodle soup, at its best. All the other items are like icing on the cake.

Karan L.

Yelp
A very reliable pho restaurant. They provided plenty of meat with the pho and the broth was good. It is much more meat than the other pho places nearby. The service is very nice and kind. I wish they provided chili oil on the side, since I love to add some spice to my pho. They provide a large variety of broths, including a vegetarian option, and options for those with fish/nut allergies. Something to note is that they are cash only - they did not inform me when I entered so I was lucky that one of my friends had cash on them at the time.

Scott M.

Yelp
Not a bad lunch, the broth was very tasty yet not extremely hot in temperature. Vegetables seem fresh, service was excellent. No complaints it is a good broth but not the best in town. Beware they do not take credit cards they take Venmo or cash only.

Christine C.

Yelp
#Baltimore #Maryland #Vietnamese food Very popular Viet restaurant in Baltimore. Had summer rolls(nah) et Hanoi Bun Cha(good).

Katlyn E.

Yelp
I'll miss the old owner, but still love this place for no-frills, good pho. My mom is viet and this is where I take her when she visits. Love: -Pho tai - this place has my favorite pho broth, so tasty, could drink it. Meat is always sliced thinly, fresh noodles. -Green papaya salad (goi du du) - tangy salad, topped with peanuts and savory beef jerky -Viet iced coffee - simply the best, get it every time. sweetened with condensed milk -3 bean dessert (che ba mau) - sweet coconut, jello dessert. -Crispy egg rolls (cha gio) - not the best I've had, but tasty nonetheless. Pass: -Spring rolls (goi cuon) - don't know if it was just the day we got them, but the rolls were missing herbs. There was only shrimp, vermicelli, lettuce. Would be better with mint, cilantro, chives. The best spring rolls I've had also include pork. Would like to try: -Bun bo hue - spicy beef noodle soup -new vegetarian pho - my mother-in-law is vegetarian but I've always wanted her to try pho

Yelp
Thissss phooo isss soooooo gooood!!! I came here twice already and I don't even live close to this place. First off, super kind staff. He's a very happy man and makes you feel so welcomed. Second, I didn't even take a picture of the grilled lemongrass pork because I was too busy digging in to my food. Third, I had this coconut drink and I'm mind blown how good it was. Fourth, wow such a great portion size that I'm always on borderline food coma when I come out of there. The soup is very clean, no big oil droplets like I've seen in other places, with fresh vegetables that come out on the side. The meat portion is also generous. Honestly, loved the atmosphere of the place and I would hands down say best pho!

Nina U.

Yelp
I know guys, most people don't carry cash anymore, but you need it here so hold that $20 bill in your hand and either embrace it or head somewhere else. They have a plethora of customers and don't need to switch to credit cards just yet. I'm sure they're aware of how much money they would lose to credit card fees? BUON BO HUE! The best here and worth the extra minute drive from Viet Pearl in Ellicott City. It's the most authentic with the best broth. I can slurp it up with the noodles all day long. It is also served with shrimp paste that my husband loves. PHO is great, doesn't matter which one you prefer, the broth is delicious. PORK CHOPS are good and on par with the other local restaurants. We've searched high and low for all the good Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Pho Van is it. It's in a sad shopping center but there's a ton of parking! It's a typical Vietnamese restaurant, nothing fancy and nothing huge. Service is great and fast since we usually don't go during peak hours. One guy works hard to juggle all the tables during a busy lunch hour but he does okay.

Terrell B.

Yelp
Amazing , amazing , amazing... + Very delicious + Very Quick + Calm & Quiet area + family friendly

Esther K.

Yelp
My favorite pho restaurant in the area! It's a bit of a drive so I can't come often but when I do, I make sure to come hungry so I can eat as much as I can lol I usually share a Large size pho (w/ assorted toppings) with my mom and also get the grilled lemongrass chicken over rice as well. can't forget the sliced onions in vinegar!! No one does their chicken like they do.. seriously. no one! have yet to find a pho restaurant who has a similar recipe or even taste.. this place takes the cake And their pho is to die for. the perfect amount of seasoning and umami, with the little bit of oil that naturally is present in the process. The owner and all the other employees are very kind and often will recognize you if you come often. Get the vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk if you're there earlier in the day (that thing will keep you up all night if you drink it too late... but it is so freakin good)

Yen H.

Yelp
Pho is ok. The owner attitude and customer service need to improve. There are better places with nicer welcoming and better quality

Hexican S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Pho restaurants. It has been around for a long time, always puts out a great product, and friendly service. Be aware it is cash only.

Katherine T.

Yelp
I got the #1 pho large bowl and they did not skimp out on the noodles or meat. I think their broth was okay, it can definitely be beefier but I appreciate it was not completely MSG based. The com suon nuong is a better dish in my opinion. The pork chop was very aromatic with the lemongrass and charred flavor. If I'm craving a pho in Baltimore, I would definitely come back.

Tom ..

Yelp
Honest Review. Trying to find the best pho, I am slowly trying all the pho restaurants in the area that I can find with decent reviews , even this being 20-25 mins away from me. Bad- Ate here once before, which is why we came back as this has been the best restaurant so far. Although, second time was not consistent than the first. Soup tasted bland than usual and we didn't get as much condiments as usual which is another reason why we loved this place. Could tell the soup was different than the first time, missing the onions too. Every pho restaurant skimps out on bean sprouts, jalapenos, leaves, etc but this place did not seem that way the first time. Although you can ask for more and I'm sure they would give it for the reasons below. Not sure why our experience was the way it was that day, but I would expect it is the result of hardships from COVID. Good- Another reason why I would rather choose this place over others is they don't and did not skimp on what makes pho delicious: steak, brisket, flank, tripe, and tendon. Especially if you like tripe and tendon, this is the place to go to as they give a generous amount. Other places give you the all in one "everything" and there is barely any of the other stuff in there (assuming they just think people don't like it and it is an acquired taste). I'm a type of person that wants tendon and tripe as much as the meat. The large is definitely a "large" with abundance of noodles as well. Aside from the food itself, I observed the older lady, possibly the owner, interact with her customers and it was great to see. You don't really see owners interact the way she does and she really went out of her way to satisfy from what I assume repeat customers. It's hard not to ease drop but I overheard her 15-minute conversation about life, COVID, and traveling in general in the space of the restaurant but it was a genuine conversation. The way how she assisted someone who just sat down as a new customer in ordering, as well as how she treated my confused wife in ordering in the beginning showed patience as well. Towards the end she was first to attempt to make small talk with me and find out where I was from, etc. Having spent a lot of time overseas, I have always been keen on customer service, something that America truly lacks and is never consistent on, and this is why I observed and reported on this area. The "food" specifically the broth was so-so, but I would easily care about customer service on the top of my list. Overall, I would definitely rate 4.5 if I could and give the benefit of the doubt here on the pho broth, as the first time I thought it was best pho that we tasted so far in Maryland. Nothing was wrong whatsoever. Condiments are not really a big deal when you can ask for more (again probably because of COVID) and it's not everyday you see great customer service. Like I said, they don't skimp out on the meat, tripe, and tendon. Knowing the second experience, I still would come back again and even recommend to others over other places. Be advised, they only take CASH, which is a bummer. (I forgot to take pictures the 2nd time as I was too anxious to eat my food but here are pictures from the 1st time.)

Janet K.

Yelp
Out of all the other pho restaurants I've tried, this place has the best broth. It's very flavorful. However, they are pretty expensive compared to other places especially their drinks. It comes in a glass that's short AND thin so I was done after 3 sips maybe? The employees are also pretty nice, but I wish their AC would be a bit stronger during summer time. It's always so hot when I come here

Emily S.

Yelp
4.5/5 This restaurant has great pho to warm you up! I always get Pho Tai without cilantro, and the portions are great! A large pho costs $9-10, and I think that's very fair for the portions. I just wish that they gave more green onions and white onions in the pho, but other than that, the pho is fantastic. I haven't tried their other dishes because I always get pho, but I'm sure they are just as good! The servers are always super nice and attentive. This restaurant is CASH ONLY, so make sure to bring plenty of cash. I've been here a bunch of times, and I will definitely return whenever I am in the area!

Marion B.

Yelp
The pho is consistently pho-nominal. This is my favorite pho spot in the Baltimore area. The broth is flavorful and the meat is tender. I typically get eye round with brisket. Service is efficient. Walk in and seat yourself. The pho comes out quickly. The tasty spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee takes a bit more time. This is a cash only place so hit up the ATM before you visit. Once you're done eating, go up to the register to pay.

Howard J.

Yelp
I've been to pho joints all over the country and in other countries. This pho here is very good. I judge my pho first and foremost by its broth and second by its noodles, third by its meat. The broth is impeccable--flavorful, beefy, clear, goodness. The noodles are average but reiterating the broth is perfect. Meat was well cut and tasty. I got into a conversation with the owner about the broth; she says they boil it for at least 12 hours. In her words, "She and her family eat it too" and so it needs to be tasty. I got the number #1 without tripe (don't like tripe). Highly recommend the place. From the outside it looks like another stereotypical hole-in-the-wall vietnamese restaurant; this only adds to the experience. Hole-in-the-wall have the best food

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Cash only, friendly service but food was horrible. The soup meat was dry and appeared to be old. The broth was very salty I couldn't eat the broth at all. Never going back.

Jody M.

Yelp
It was a pretty good pho but not the best I've ever had. I wish they had other broth options like a spicy one or a curry one like I've had at other places. The restaurant is in a strip mall off of rt 40.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Legit. Broth is by far one of the best I've had, along with the cooked to perfection chewy noodles. I like the various meat combo options and the prices are perfect (only $0.50 more for extra noodles) No frills, quick service, delicious pho.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Really really liked the pho here. The broth was very rich and tasty. It is the perfect thing on a cold day. The service was nice and homey. I guess my biggest complaint and the reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is that they only accept cash. Which really inconvenienced me after I had already ordered, ate, and then needed to pay. All that aside, this place is certainly worth a taste and I recommend it frequently

Whitney L.

Yelp
I've been coming here ever since I was a kid. I always order the pho tai chin (well done eye round steak). Broth is always good! Comes out fast and hot! And there's just the perfect amount of meat and noodle. I love eating pho on a rainy day or a cold winter day. Service is always great. The only downside is that it's cash only. Also, I don't like how dark it is inside. Wish there was more lighting. Other than that, everything is wonderful. Always a great Sunday morning meal :)

Swornim S.

Yelp
Ordered myself a papaya salad, pork Vermicelli and iced plum tea. Plum tea tastes great and papaya salad was good. However, the meat in the vermicelli blew my mind. It was very tender and juicy and full of flavor. Definitely worth the money. Talking about money, the price of menu here is incorrect. It has gone up. Also, they were cash only. Luckily I had cash else I had to find some other place. It's the only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not a 5. The place is clean and parking is plenty.

Karen N.

Yelp
Probably the best pho in the area, and serves one of the best ca phe sua da (viet iced coffees) -- not overly sweet, and very strong! Service is great. Definitely come here to recover from a night out, just remember to bring cash.

Rose L.

Yelp
I'm a Vietnamese girl from California. I couldn't find a decent bowl of bun bo Hue anywhere. Until I went to this place. My bun bo Hue was the perfect amount of salty and spicy. They put so much meat in all of their dishes, and that is fantastic. Not a fan of their ph, but I will continue to come here for this soup!

Eric L.

Yelp
Ignoring ambiance and judging this restaurant for what it is... a hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant specializing in pho, this place gets 5 stars. I've had pho from Vancouver to NY and in my opinion, this was some of the best that I've had. The broth was possibly the best I ever had. It was both rich and tasty and very unique. The service was lightning fast. I had a 2nd bowl of pho after devouring the first (no shame in having a good appetite) and it came out in 5 minutes tops. The Vietnamese coffee here is also really good and is brewed right in front of you. Not too bitter, not overly sweet. If I have any complaint at all about the pho here it is that the meat was not as perfect as could be to the excellent broth that it accompanies. Also, the spring rolls were nothing to write home about. Also, they close pretty early everyday (8 pm) which prevented me from visiting again several times. Still, the pho here was simply amazing and totally unexpected given this restaurant's location (in a shopping center, close by a gamestop).

Sylvia J.

Yelp
I have been going to Pho Van for years and I am never disappointed. I usually get fresh rolls and a small #15. So delicious! They are cash only. So that is the only con.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
They only accept cash so if you only have credit go to the bank first. The pho came out like super fast! I ordered and it came out literally 2 minutes later. Pho is the only thing in the menu I believe In terms of the food it was pretty good! They do give you a good portion for a small. I was struggling to finish it honestly

Misha K.

Yelp
CASH ONLY alert. Please don't be like me and have to leave to race across the street to Dollar Tree to get cash. First sign it's a good restaurant, all ethnics seated and eating heartily. Second sign, people continuously filtering in Third sign, my kids slurping down their phô with gusto! Also, if you don't like cilantro, ask them to nix it, because it'll be there in your broth!

Annie T.

Yelp
The restaurant is now open for dine-in, and from what I saw, they're doing a good job with adhering to social distancing guidelines. I ordered the bun bo hue, and it was fantastic. The broth was clear and flavorful, the portion was generous, and there was a ton of tender sliced beef, cha lua, and pork in my bowl. The staff was super welcoming and attentive, and the restaurant was very clean. I can't wait to go back and try their pho or better yet, eat another bowl of bun bo hue (it was so good). Note that it's cash only.

Sonny C.

Yelp
It is our favorite Vietnam restaurant for the last several years. You won't be disappointed with any of their menu. I recommend avoiding the lunch and dinner rush hour due to short on staff.

Anitra J.

Yelp
This is actually one of my fav pho spots. Taste is always great. My complaints are that a bill is not presented to the table, they just ring you up at the register. Also they are cash only which is very inconvenient. They could use some updated. But of all the times I have been there, service is usually pretty good overall.

Wayne G.

Yelp
3.5 stars. It's a clean place with the standard rice, vermecelli and rice noodle dishes EXCEPT almost no vegetables are offered, just a little lettuce or bean sprouts or a tad of shredded carrot. The service is very good. They are CASH ONLY just so you're prepared. They are busy.

Zhicao F.

Yelp
Highly recommended. First time visiting this Vietnamese place and I am already a fan. The menu features primarily pho and noodle dishes, with some limited rice and stir fry options. I tried the large pho with extra toppings of well-done meat. The pho broth was more spicy than other typical Vietnamese places, but the flavor was rich and tasty. Large pho came with a generous portion of your option of beef, literally covering the entire surface layer of broth and you could dig deep into the bowl to discover more meat. The pho noodles were cooked to tender. The extra topping costs $2.50 and was a bowl with good portion of your option of beef. All in all, a nice Vietnamese place, the food is very generous in terms of price.

Tony P.

Yelp
This place is where the Vietnamese locals patronize on a regular basis. Come see for yourself any given Sunday. There is no better endorsements of the quality of fares than this.

Adolfo C.

Yelp
Went to grab something to eat. This establishment only accepts cash. He asked for something from me to hold while I get cash. Now I'm on goose chase for an ATM or a store that does cash back. Went to 2 locations and wasted 30 minutes of my time. It's 2017, I can't take a business serious who does not accept credit/debit. Do they realize how much business you lose!? #EndRant #Angry #ImFurious #IShouldntPayToGiveALesson

Jessie I.

Yelp
Cafeteria-style, local and no frills. The perfect place for a warm, delicious bowl of pho at any time of the day. The proprietor is quick to make sure you have a seat, water and a menu within seconds of walking into his restaurant, and you can expect your pho to arrive within 5 minutes of ordering. This is a great little restaurant for families, individuals - whoever you want to bring! This is a very reasonably priced place, but is also Cash only so make sure you bring some dollars in exchange for this delicious pho!

Jason G.

Yelp
Pho Van is located in a storefront in the 40 West Plaza across Baltimore National Pike from a couple Antwerpen automobile dealerships. This was the first Vietnamese restaurant my wife and I visited after she and her daughter moved to the U.S. from Vietnam. Staff is very kind and immediately made my wife feel very welcomed. I always get a small beef (flank/brisket) pho and I would eat it every day if I had the opportunity! Pho Van's small bowl is a large at many restaurants, but they are priced comparably to many other local Vietnamese restaurants. We've since tried most of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area and this is one or our favorites. As the name implies, pho is their specialty so you won't find a wide selection of other Vietnamese dishes on their simple menu. That is NOT a problem, though, as Pho Van prepares some of the best pho I have had in the U.S. or Vietnam. Pho Van opens at 9am, so it is a great option for breakfast. As others have noted, the restaurant only accepts cash, so plan accordingly and you will not be disappointed.

Jill W.

Yelp
Ok, my qualifications as a pho connoisseur aren't impressive but hey, I've eaten at least 50 bowls of pho in my lifetime maybe? My usual places for pho: Pho Dat Thanh, An Loi, or Mekong Delta. I've also had Pho 75 in Rockville & College Park, as well as Pho 95 in Ritchie Plaza and Pho Pasteur in Catonsville. That's my pho resume right there. Pho Van had a good broth, really hit the spot. I don't know what it was, but I didn't want my pho experience to end and seriously considered ordering another bowl when I was down to the last few noodles. The two male owners watched me slurp down every last bit of that broth. I didn't know I could feel that way about pho, haha. They have standard pho bowls and also a pretty long list of special beverages. The bathroom was simple but clean, which made me feel secure about my food. It's not too busy too, so you can come here and quietly bury your face in a bowl of pho without the fear of running into someone you know, haha.

Shar L.

Yelp
Before I begin my review, let me start off by saying: CASH ONLY. CASH ONLY. CASH ONLY Did I mention cash only? If you forgot to bring cash, no worries. The Aldi grocery store allows you to get cash- with a purchase of something. They don't have an ATM but it is well worth going the extra mile to get cash for this restaurant. The inside of this restaurant isn't modern with fancy tv's. It's a simple place with tables, chairs and awesome PHO. The owner is very kind and family owned. Let's get down to the PHO....... Rich, flavorful broth, with body... No watered down broth here. You can taste the flavor of the delicious goodness that has been simmering for hours... Big chunks of meat and tendon to satisfy your palate... Highly Recommended!!!! Don't forget to bring cash..

Reese E.

Yelp
It's not over the top in decorations or pizazz, which I prefer. So although it's super simple inside the food is so dang tasty!! We went to another Pho joint around the corner since we didn't make this place before closing once. Even though it was packed inside and featured on a T.V food special it was like eating noodles in water. We went back to Pho Van the next day to wash the taste out or rather add to the lack thereof. Great prices, portions, and quality.

Tunaidi A.

Yelp
I am beginning to think that this is one of the best, if not THE best, Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. I enjoy Vietnamese food and I used to believe that it didn't matter which Vietnamese restaurant I went to. I thought they were all the same, between okay to pretty good. I also thought that all pho noodles tasted pretty similar. Pho Van Restaurant proved me wrong. It was like a big slap in the face. The pho here is fantastic and that doesn't even begin to describe it. Their bowls have so much more meat than noodles. The meat is perfect too. I also like how their pho menu allows for all sorts of meat varieties (steak, brisket, flank, tripe, etc.) as well as how they are cooked (well done, regular, etc.) and also whether you want them fatter or not (I personally like fatty meats, but that's just me). Better yet, the raw vegetables that go with the pho are fresh! On top of that, there is evidence that they are thoroughly washed. The bean sprout roots are also plucked. Wow! In addition, the egg rolls are amazing. They are not your normal egg rolls. The filling is cooked just right, while the shell is fried perfectly. In addition, the Vietnamese coffee seemed superior than others. Finally, the service here is top notch. Quick is also an understatement. It's lightning speed, super attentive, and extremely friendly. I might just have to make Pho Van Restaurant my go-to place for Vietnamese food now. I still need to try more things on their menu. I highly recommend this place.
