"At this casual Vietnamese restaurant in the Strip District, you’ll find punny pop art posters on the walls, including one that says “Pho King Delicious.” We really appreciate their dedication to the puns, almost as much as we appreciate their phở with a rich broth that’s been simmered for days. This family-run establishment has a variety of soupy dishes with just as many proteins like tripe, meatballs, and sliced beef, along with a great chicken phở. Beyond the soup, try some grilled plates, like chicken teriyaki, which are also full of flavor and make for great leftovers to eat throughout the week. Have lunch here before spending the rest of the day exploring all the shops and grocers in the neighborhood. " - elaine zedack, quayla allen

I was skeptical at first but the food was decent. Pho didn’t have a strong pho taste like the authentic Vietnamese Pho but I would say the broth was clean, tasted good, good portion amount of brisket. We also ordered grilled pork banh mi, and bbq chicken rice dish. The flavors were actually ok and we were happy with the food. Finding parking was a bit stressful. Service was good.

This is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. It deserves 3 Michelin stars. It’s that good. Our favorites are: the eye round pho, the grilled pork vermicelli bowl, the pork and Napa dumplings and the crispy tofu, also the mango sticky rice dessert. The pho broth is delicious and comforting, I find myself craving it often. The atmosphere is very chill and they have this funny pho puns prints all around the restaurant. The staff is amazing, very kind and attentive always. Last time we went there one of the girls remembered my baby and it warmed my heart. Will keep coming here. Thank you! 🤍

We ate here many times. Prices have gone a bit up but the quality stays the same. I’ve had the tripe phi which was not shy on the tripe, and the meatballs pho. The broth is on the clear and gentle side and the noodles are fresh. Relatively fast service too, important for hungry people:))). Nice addition of macaroons for dessert.

Road trip from Toronto to Pittsburgh. Stayed here for 4 days. My family members were all craving for Pho. Googled the best pho and Pho Van was top of the list. Quiet Easter Sunday in Strip District but not Pho Van. There was lineup outside of the restaurant. In my mind, it’s gotta be good. I went in the restaurant and checked myself in. There were few people waiting before me. Waited almost 25 mins. It’s weird that they didn’t sit us in when there was a table for 4 people. I asked the staff and they said there was one person in front of me. So, it doesn’t make sense to me if you want to sit 1 person at a 4 people table. anyway, that person got another table and I sit at the table which was ready 10 mins ago. ————- Pho: It’s very pricy comparing to Toronto (i know I can’t compare but still…). A bowl of Pho cost me $18 USD (~$25 CAD) and it’s only one size. Soup base was nice. No heavy MSG. I ordered eye round pho. Portion was ok (Large size in Toronto), meat portion was just ok. I expected more for this price. The noodle was thinner than Toronto. It was nice. Spring roll It was delicious. Freshly made. Not those frozen one we have in Toronto. Well done here. ————- Overall, it was a nice Pho place to stop bu. It was expensive for Pho. $120 US with tips for 4 bowls of Pho.

Second time here and it just keeps getting better each time. The fresh shrimp rolls, crispy pork rolls, pork & shrimp dumplings, papaya salad, and grilled pork skewers were right on point. I could eat the pork skewers all day long. Service was fantastic and always with a smile. Prices were a tad high on items, but overall I will definately back. See ya next time…

Came here today for lunch while visiting in Pittsburgh and was not disappointed. Ihad a big bowl of pho 🍜 which I shared with my daughter and it was fantastic. The broth was so flavorful and the egg rolls really good. Service is fantastic. The daughter said she’ll be back again. A must try place.

The options in The Strip are pretty amazing - but the Pho at this place is definitely crave worthy! The chicken pho and the Vietnamese coffee were our lunch choice. We were promptly seated and the amazing aroma of the Vietnamese coffee was a great precursor to the pho we experienced! Definitely should be on anyone's Must Get list while in The Strip!!

I genuinely enjoy the food here, coming from someone who knows how to cook Vietnamese food and growing up with my mom’s home-cooked Viet food! What’s even better is the atmosphere - the family running the business has brought so much life to the restaurant! ☺️ I just moved back to Pittsburgh recently, so seeing this restaurant come to life has been such a pleasure. Will be back for sure!
