Nothing better than a nice, hot, delicious bowl of pho on a chilly December's day for lunch.
It's been a few years since I last ate here. They've done a few changes in how the tables are arranged. Seems the layout is a little more open. I came here with two friends for some noodle bowls and appetites. I knew, though, that despite being hungry, I would be challenged to finish a small bowl. They serve you so much delicious soup with the noodles and other tidbits that most people can't consume it all. (Heck, the "large" looks enormous!)
I ordered the rare beef, tripe, and tendon pho, the #10. So did one of my friends.
The plate of bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos, and Thai Basil leaves was brought out first, as were the egg rolls with their bowl of dipping sauce.
They were hot and fresh from the kitchen. Tasty. A nice appetizer, not that we had long to wait before the bowls of pho arrived.
When the soup came, we busily began taking the fresh greens and beans sprouts and putting them into our bowls and submerged into the hot soup.
Bliss.
There are the standard sauces and condiments like plum sauce, fish sauce, and chili oil. I put my usual combination of these into my pho and stirred.
After I'd eaten my fill, there was still quite a lot left, so when I went to the register and paid for my lunch, I asked for a take-home soup container.
