Five Vietnamese Dishes to Know and Where to Eat Them in Boston | Eater Boston

"At Pho 1 Brighton, the bo kho arrives with tons of thick rice noodles, perfectly tender beef, and an incredibly aromatic broth with an earthy flavor from lemongrass and tomato paste; the restaurant also serves mi hai san, bun bo Hue, and hu tieu, and is currently offering takeout, delivery, and indoor dining." - Karen Wilber

Pho #1 Vietnamese and Asian Fusion Restaurant Opens in Brighton | Eater Boston

"I note that Pho #1 recently replaced Chilli Thai Bistro at 1799 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton, right by the Chiswick stop on the Green Line. The Brighton location is the third for Pho #1, which also has locations in Waltham and Woburn, as confirmed by an employee at the Waltham location. Its menu features Vietnamese dishes as well as items from several other Asian cuisines, including satay, dumplings, banh mi, and takoyaki; it also serves Vietnamese soups like bo vien (a noodle soup with beef meatballs) and, of course, pho. The Brighton location is open Monday–Thursday 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., Friday–Saturday 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m., and Sunday noon–10 p.m." - Terrence Doyle

Tak took amazing care of us when we came in for a late night meal. She was so sweet and helpful. The food was also very tasty and delicious. This was our first time but we will be definitely coming back. Lovely place!

Genuinely my favorite restaurant. I go to a school nearby and whenever I’m sick or in need of warm soup-y food, this place is my go-to. The people are so nice and the food is so great. I love their Dac Biet and whatever number 123 is 😋😋

The vibes were nice and the servers/staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired - I tried many different dishes and all of them were disappointing. The spring rolls were dry and had too much lettuce, the panh xeo crust was too thick and doughy, and the pho was lacking in flavor. The best dish we had was a Thai dish - the pad see ew… The menu just has way too many items, including a lot of Chinese and Korean cuisines. I would recommend downsizing it significantly to focus on a few quality dishes and to make it less overwhelming.

An excellent value for the price. I had the Vietnamese sour soup shrimp, With a bowl of white rice. And that is enough for a nice brunch meal if you’re not hungry. And then I ordered the pad CU seafood dish to go. And even after it was heated up at home, it was also terrific. Great value for Boston.

I really like the food at this restaurant, especially the Thai dishes — they taste just like they’re from Thailand. As for my partner, they had the Pho Dac Biet, which was also very delicious.

Yelp
Pho was solid for an evening dinner. Friends got other dishes and I took some photos! Overall it was a good experience and they seated us very fast for a large group

Yelp
We went there for many times but the stuff are NOT friendly at all recently. Not offering water (but brought waters to other tables), didn't take the appetizer plate, didn't ask if we need anything and obviously the waiter was much friendly to two other white girls who sat next to us. This is not the FIRST time. Very rude. Won't come back anymore.

Yelp
Was previously Pho 1 in Brighton, but changed the name so as not to be confused with other local restaurants that have the Pho 1 name. Serves excellent Thai and Vietnamese food. We have eaten inside here multiple times. Fresh ingredients, not greasy, great flavor, and everything we have eaten there has been terrific. The staff is friendly. The ambience is warm, and the restaurant is simple and clean. They serve beer a wine, and they do takeout. The prices are very reasonable.
