The phenomenal Phoenicia Lodge is truly the best-kept secret in the Catskills. This is one of the cleanest, most immaculately maintained lodges, motels, and cabin-style accommodations I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve traveled to 20+ countries, and this level of comfort, hospitality, cleanliness, and service is incredibly rare in the United States. The room size, cozy cabin feel, boutique-lodge atmosphere, and overall value are unmatched for Phoenicia, Shandaken, Mount Tremper, and the Western Catskills.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, family-friendly lodging, solo retreat, nature escape, or rustic Catskills cabin, Phoenicia Lodge is perfect. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with that warm vintage Catskills charm that’s disappearing elsewhere. You can actually relax here—everything feels peaceful, intentional, and high-quality.
The location is ideal for travelers. You’re minutes from the best Catskills hiking trails, Esopus Creek fishing, Phoenicia Main Street, Hunter Mountain skiing, Belleayre Mountain, local restaurants, antique shops, nature walks, scenic drives, and world-class spas. It’s the perfect home base for visiting Woodland Valley, Mount Tremper, Big Indian, Boiceville, and the entire Route 28 corridor.
Sandra’s hospitality is exceptional—professional, caring, and genuinely attentive. Her commitment to quality control, guest comfort, and clean, well-kept rooms is something most hotels and lodges simply don’t offer anymore.
I had my mom stay here for the Thanksgiving holiday after trying other nearby hotels, and Phoenicia Lodge was on a completely different level. It is now her top hotel choice in the Catskills region. The mix of local vibes, mid-century charm, cozy cabins, and spotless lodging makes this place truly special.
