Phoenix Park Hotel

I booked my stay at the Phonix Park based on the great reviews, the location, and because there was a restaurant attached. What a wonderful hotel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.I told the front desk I would need a taxi at 6:30 am and they took care of it for me. The hotel was very quiet and the beds and pillows were very comfy. The rainfall shower was so relaxing and there was no waiting for the hot water. The Dubliner Restaurant that was in the hotel was excellent (ate all 4 dinners there and 3 breakfasts). I spoke to other guests who said they always stayed there when they were in DC. I will definitely stay there next time I'm in town.

This is a very well maintained, older hotel, a short walk from Union RR station. Excellent restaurant. Bed is firm but comfortable, and the pillows actually give good support unlike innumerable hotel in various chains. For a centrally located hotel in a major city, the room is quite large with 2 chairs. Staff is extraordinarily helpful. We had to wait while our room was being prepped. The bellman came to the (free) coffee lounge to tell us our room was ready (much earlier than promised) and then asked for our stored luggage tags and brought our luggage to our room. What service!

I do not typically take time to post a review but we had such an amazing stay that I felt compelled to. This is not our first time staying in DC but this is our first time at this hotel. From the minute we walked in, we were impressed. We were early so we went into the restaurant on-site and had lunch, which was amazing. Staff was very friendly with check in. We got to our room and loved how clean it smelled.... it wasn't the typical overwhelming smell of cleaning supplies... it just smelled clean. The Room was great. We loved that there was no carpet other than a rug. The bathroom and shower were both very clean as well. My favorite part of this hotel... the 24/7 coffee. I typically have to go out and buy coffee when we travel because making coffee in my room is just not appealing to me but at this hotel, you could get even specialty coffees out of the machine and it was so great to me. We definitely plan to make this our hotel when traveling to DC. We walked everywhere we went, to a nationals game, to capital one arena for a concert and then just around the city to explore. We had no issues with noise as some others have made note of. Can't wait to return!

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and it was magnificent. From the service of the staff to the coffee station to clean elegant but modern rooms made are trip a better experience. One more thing being that close to the main train and Metro station made it that much better to move around DC. We took the train from the Baltimore airport and back and the hotel is right outside the station.

After spending the entire day exploring, my daughter and I decided to spend one night in DC. While the location initially brought us in, the warm hospitality and charming aesthetic showed us we had made a great choice. Fifi and Kala greeted us and checked us in quickly. My daughter mentioned it was my birthday & not long after getting settled in our clean and extremely comfortable room, Fifi arrived at our door with a treat and a card! After 15 years of upper management for the hotel industry, this extra gesture made our visit to the area that much more special. Thank you, Kala & Fifi. I won't forget it. Nancy Lee-Karlsson

This hotel surprised me in a positive way. It has a great location, being close to many museums, Union Station and of course the Capitol, Library of Congress and Supreme Court. Everything is in walking distance. But it had the lowest room prices among the four hotels I stayed in during my US holidays. So I thought that something must be wrong. But there is nothing wrong, it's a great hotel with excellent value for money. Also the Irish pub downstairs, which belongs to the hotel, is very good.

Nothing but good things to say about the Pheonix Park Hotel. Even though we arrived 3 hours early we were kindly allowed to check in & deposit our luggage in our room. We chose the king deluxe room & weren't disappointed, the room was large with great bathroom facilities, strong hot showers etc. The bed was extremely comfortable & my wife & I appreciated the laundry facilities available on the the 3rd floor particularly after travelling via Amtrak for some 5 days. |The hotel is only a short 5 minute walk to the Union railway station & car rentals & also within walking distance to some of Washington's major locations.|All in all a very pleasant experience at the Pheonix hotel...friendly & efficient staff too.

Had a great experience staying at the Phoenix Park Hotel! I stayed one night on business in a queen room. The room was small, but perfect for one person. It was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower had good water temperature and pressure. The location is incredibly convenient to the train station - it’s literally across the street. Although I Ubered to dinner, I was able to easily walk to grab coffee and breakfast. I was also able to easily walk to my work event near the Capitol from the hotel. Staff were very friendly. Definitely would stay here again!
