Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

"It’s all about the views at this hotel, which is on the Krabi coastline and has astonishing vistas of the Andaman Sea. Here, 54 sumptuous suites and villas sit amid tropical gardens and serpentine moats, but the extensive grounds have a downside: The sprawling property is perhaps more easily explored on wheels, and hotel staff will happily chauffeur you in the resort's golf carts. Rooms are Dubai-level lavish, with interiors of cream granite and white linen. The bathrooms have lotus-shaped sinks and outdoor tubs, and most rooms have massive beds. Only the beach is disappointing: The shallows are rocky, and the bay is marred by an unsightly dredging complex. To compensate is an expansive infinity pool flanked by plush double-loungers and rattan-clad coolers stocked with chilled face towels and coconut water."

Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve (Muang, Krabi) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"One of the most straightforward ways to stand out in the crowded field of Thai luxury hospitality is to simply create one of the most luxurious resorts anywhere, and that’s the path chosen by Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. What sets it even further apart from the norm is its exquisite tastefulness, from the traditional-style welcome pavilion to the thoughtfully localized interiors of the hotel’s villas and pavilions. An extravagant spa is present as a matter of course, as are a handful of restaurants serving everything from fresh seafood and Thai favorites to elevated Mediterranean classics." - Tablet Hotels

A truly outstanding hotel experience from start to finish. The attention to detail was first class and exactly what makes this a proper 5* hotel. We have been lucky enough to stay at several Ritz Carlton’s and this is by a distance the best example we have been to. The rooms (in particular the bed and bath) are enormous and all the hotel facilities exceptional, but what stands out is the service from all members of staff. You never need to ask for anything, they are always one step ahead in thinking of your needs. Special mention to our butler Yid, who was fantastic in taking care of us throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely impossible not to review this property as five stars, everything from your arrival to the moment you have to check out is impeccable and the resort is simply outstanding. We were lucky enough to to be upgraded to an Beach front Villa with a private pool. The private pool was a lovely touch, only small downside is we lost ocean views as we were at ground level and hedges obscure the sea. Minor point though as the room was massive with a large main area and a stunning bathroom. Another massive plus is the huge main pool which is just incredible. Being a Ritz-Carlton Reserve you never have to worry about getting a cabana or lounger, and poolside service is fantastic. Our butler Fah was just a joy and everything and anything we needed was delivered in minutes. They also note your preferences so that your needs are almost anticipated in advance before you even ask. If I had to point out some minor niggles one would be the Thai restaurant wasn't operating while we were there which we weren't informed of in advance. You can still get the Thai menu but it's at the main restaurant, which is okay but eating at the same venue every night felt a bit boring. There was also some construction going on in parts of the hotel which we couldn't hear from our room but I assume others may have been able to. Other than that everything else was outstanding. Definitely recommend heading to Hong Island, you get your own private long boat and the island is breathtaking. Sunset drinks also cannot be missed as the sunsets are like a post card. Don't think twice about booking you won't regret it!

I can honestly say that the staff at the Phulay Bay was unlike any experience that I have ever had in all of my travels. Put simply, they were amazing. From remembering drinks, dishes, etc, the attention to detail was second to none. Our butler, Jake, was always available with a smile and went above and beyond on a daily basis. Housekeeping by You and Mookie made sure that the room was always sparkling. As others have commented, the bed is the largest I've ever seen and can easily sleep 10. The grounds are majestic and the views are breathtaking. The staff at the spa made sure that our time spent was memorable. Even though it rained the entire time we were there, the pool looks beautiful and the pool restaurant had great staff and delicious food. ||I got sick prior to arriving at the resort and Henry (from office manager) offered suggestions on food, drinks and had the hotel car take me to a local pharmacy. However, when my symptoms didn't get any better, he insisted that I go toe the hospital and had Faisal from Loss Prevention accompany me to help translate. Both Henry and Faisal were truly amazing and Henry even offered great suggestions for our next stop in Bangkok. ||Prior to the trip, I was debating to stay at the Banyan Tree, but I'm so glad that I chose Phulay Bay. If in doubt, just book Phulay Bay as you will not be disappointed. Are there things that could be improved? Sure, it would be great to have more outlets near the bed or USB connections, but aside from these minor nitpicks, I can't think of anything else.

This hotel is truly a serene paradise. My 4 days and 5 nights here were absolutely worth it — a genuine retreat for both body and mind. The breakfast was outstanding, with delicious, high-quality food, and most importantly, excellent coffee. The cappuccino was perfection. During the day, I spent time in one of the most breathtaking swimming pools in the world, and in the evenings, I enjoyed stunning sunsets with cocktails in hand. The service was impeccable — flawless in every way. I’m certain I’ll be coming back again.

UNREAL!! COMPLETELY UNREAL!! My husband and I just returned from a 10 night stay at the Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay and it was ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL!! The resort is immaculate, and the service from the staff is unlike any experience we've ever had. Truly, we were blown away by the kindness and the attention to detail throughout our entire stay. The staff notices every little detail & preference and then acts on them to make your stay feel like an escape to another world where you are pampered until your cup is not only full but overflowing!!||I could go on and on with the incredible acts of thoughtfulness--there are genuinely too many to list. But I have to at least mention Habib who is truly an outstanding butler and was attentive to our every need. What a kind man he is. He was always going the extra mile with daily notes and special treats. When we left he gave us a beautiful painted art piece of my wife and me in Phulay Bay, painted by his friend in Phuket. Habib was there at every turn and made every single one of our 10 days there completely magical! I never realized how much one person could impact your experience!! I've never experienced this level of thoughtful service and we have stayed at luxury resorts from Bora Bora to Hong Kong to Paris to Hawaii and somehow Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay surpassed them all!! ||Guide from the Jampoon restaurant (and all the staff there) were so thoughtful and kind. Guide gave us a gift after noticing how much my I admired the after dinner tea cups . She gave us our own personal set to take back with us to the US. ||Beam was a wonderful tour guide and driver. We spent three days with him and loved every moment of it. He was knowledgeable and attentive but also gave us space when we needed it and was also a great photographer! He always had cold towels and treats waiting for us around every corner! We were very adventurous and tried to see as much of this beautiful part of the world as we could. It was easy to soak up the beauty and the culture with such amazing guides! Even the 4am sunrise hike to Naku Mountain with our hotel guide was so worth the early rise on vacation!||The spa was luxurious and the Thai massages were next level! The spa staff once again spoiled us with treats and teas and a special gift on our last day. Unreal!! The hotel managers (both day and night managers) went out of their way to introduce themselves and add little touches to our stay that were again so kind, gracious and unreal!!||The private speed boat to Phi Phi Islands was completely worth it as well! Unreal beauty and service!!||I could go on and on. I wish I had the time to comment sincerely about every single person we've interacted with. I don't want to leave anybody out, and we had far more than this short list who contributed to our wonderful stay. ||We will definitely be returning with our family!! Truly amazing!!

We’ve just returned from what can only be described as a perfect family holiday at The Ritz-Carlton, Krabi. This was our second visit—but this time with our extended family to celebrate our sister’s birthday—and once again, the experience was flawless from start to finish.|General Manager Vijay Sagar and his exceptional team ensured that every moment felt thoughtful, warm, and completely effortless. Whether it was the smallest detail or a grand gesture, everything was done with care. You don’t just stay here—you’re truly looked after.|The property itself is a lush, serene sanctuary surrounded by greenery and filled with natural beauty. We love that the food across the resort uses organic, homegrown ingredients—you can taste the freshness in every bite.|Our amazing butlers Jake, Ying, and Na pampered us throughout the trip—always present but never intrusive. A special shoutout to Neung for the fun, interactive mojito-making session that had the entire family (yes, including the kids!) shaking up some very memorable drinks.|The Sunset Bar became our evening ritual: stunning views, glasses of wine, a cheese and olive platter, and the friendliest team. Absolute bliss.|Our kids were spoiled with curated activities every day—coconut roll making with Peang, Thai tea preparation, origami art, and even a beautiful Thai dance performance at sunset. The resort somehow manages to be both relaxing andpacked with delightful experiences.|The birthday dinner hosted by the team was a standout. R took excellent care of us, and the food—especially the pork patties—was hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had. We were touched by the effort the team put into decorating our sister’s room and setting up a special jacuzzi surprise and birthday cake. She felt celebrated in every way.|Special thanks to Angela and Mehma, whose warmth and hospitality added such a personal touch. Mornings began with a generous buffet and à la carte breakfast, while days included poolside cabanas, a fantastic private boat trip to Hong Island, and peaceful moments in our spacious suite with exotic indoor-outdoor bathtubs. Our kids loved the elephant teddy bear gifts, and the nightly dessert surprises in our room were such a lovely touch.|We left feeling completely pampered—like stars, like royalty. It’s rare to find a place where luxury meets heart the way it does here. That’s what keeps us coming back.|Thank you, Vijay, for creating an atmosphere where joy, care, and connection shine through every corner of this stunning property. We can’t wait to return.

This might be one of the best hotel I have ever visited. I wish I could stay longer. The service and the training of staff was very amazing, they have very high standard now, talk to guests, talk to guests all the time to make them feel accompanied. I had an amazing butler Habib took care of me very well and professional. Breakfast is way too high standard, very skilled cooked and high quality, they chose best ingredients and dishes of Thailand, and they cook any dishes out of menu for you as well if you request without any extra charge, and I can check out late as well complimentary. I’m well impressed and I felt it was way too worth it. Pool is massive and service at pool is even more better than any 5 stars hotel out there. this is I call an 5 stars hotel, could be even better than that. I definitely will have to come back because money was spent so much worth it
