Pi Wood-Fired Pizza

PHENOMENONAL pizza!! It was so good I had to get another for my wife that “wasn’t hungry” until she ate a slice of mine! Employees are kind and the atmosphere is super cute! Plus the prices are too good to be true! So far the best pizza in Rochester that I’ve had :)

First time eating here. Zach,I believe he is the manager, was very friendly and helpful. The pizza was made quickly and well. We enjoyed our experience

I had this delivered so no rating on the service or atmosphere. WOW! This is one of the best pizzas I’ve had! I almost licked the box it was that good! The Pi Knots, a must! A perfect cinnamon sugar over their perfect dough!!! YUM!

Absolutely the best wood-fired pizza I've ever had! The flavors were so fresh – it honestly felt like they picked the veggies right before baking the pizza. The crust had that perfect crisp with a slight chew, and the toppings were top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even better. If I remember the name correctly, Adam went above and beyond to ensure we had the best service possible. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful pizza! To the owner- we need one in Twin cities.

I recently stopped into Pi Wood-Fired Pizza because I was tired of going to Dominoes or Pizza Hut and I wanted some better local options. I was greeted by Zach and his team of Pi specialists. He helped walk me through the ordering process and gave an overall great experience and welcoming atmosphere. The Pizza I got was fantastic - thin crust, tomato sauce, cheese, bacon, sausage and olives. Great experience and even better food. I highly recommend stopping in for all your Pi needs.

We went on Pi day- it was just by chance. I had been at the clinic all morning and I was starving. I placed an online order- it wasn’t ready when I arrived, but only waited 10 minutes. We had 3 individual pizzas. One with no onions. The order wasn’t correct. The wrong pizza had onions removed- on the pizza the person LIKES the onion and they were left on the pizza we wanted it removed from. We can remove the onions ourselves and have them to the person whose pizza was supposed to have them. Not a huge deal- but details matter. They were busy with a TV crew there due to Pi day. So maybe that distracted everyone? The pizzas were okay. I liked the crust, it’s pretty thin and soft. No a lot of toppings. In fact very few compared to Toppers or Godfathers. I had 4 pieces of pepperoni on the whole pizza. They were large pieces of pepperoni but just not enough for flavor or to be sufficient. I wouldn’t get the classic again. I was very let down with it. I would be interested in trying other things than just pizza if they offer a calzone or pasta. As for the pizza, it was a miss for us. Not bad, but it to the standard I would ever have a craving to eat.

Family and I were in Rochester for our vacation and wanted pizza. Our 4 year old will only eat sauce pizza without cheese and their little pi was perfect! They gobbled it all up! We had a pepperoni and sausage pi and it was delicious. Prices were great. Would definitely recommend.

This was are first time eating here. Michael took are order and helped us. He was very kind, helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was as well. I didn’t get their name but everyone working that day while we were there was awesome and had wonderful customer service. Whether it was puting in an order or getting a box for are left overs. They wanted to make sure we had the right size that we needed. The pizza and garlic cheese bread was delicious. My daughter is already asking when we can go back to eat here again even though we just finished eating here less than 1 hour ago. We will definitely be back. I do want to apologize as my daughter dropped here drink. I started to clean it up and an employee came out and said that he would take care of it. (I as ok with cleaning it myself as she made the mess and feel like we should clean up after are self when we make a mess. As well as to never leave one when you go somewhere). I feel so bad that she made a mess with the drink and I apologize for that. Thank you for the excellent customer service and the delicious food.

The food was fantastic. The service could be slightly better, seating was so tight it was hard for anyone to get around let alone them carrying food between chairs. I will definitely go back but for take out.

The pizza was amazing!!! It was our first time there and the service we got from the staff was amazing!!! They were so friendly and I loved the ambiance! Super chill and music wasn't too loud!

Not bad. My kid was not a fan at all but he is not good at ordering food lol. I didn't see the basics so I will have to go back and see if it gets better or not

You go in and walk up to the counter and order your food you get your own drink and they bring your salad or pizza out to you. It has a very good flavor and salad was good too. They check on you to make sure everything is OK !!!

Delicious and fast. Quick delivery to my hospital room and everyone loved it. Teen daughter actually enjoyed it and had some as leftovers!

I was hoping to be nice and not have to explain why I had a negative review of this establishment, but I keep getting this notice up and so I'm gonna tell you the truth. I had very poor quality food and I regret that I have to write this..

Food is ok... not really wood fired pizza ( gas fired furnce with hot stones that look like wood (with the occassional piece of wood for flavour. Service is mediocre. Ambience is average.

This place has quick, friendly service and the pizza tastes quite good! The thin crust is delicious but also makes the pizza not that filling for the price. The only thing I really did not like was the barbecue sauce flavor on the barbecue pizza. I think they should find a better sauce.

Pizza is very delicious flavorful and crispy perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Service is great pizza always comes out fast and hot.

Brick oven pizza, large menu, interesting meals, one of the best puzza places in Rochester.

My family and I went and ordered our pizza and the workers were really nice and the place was well clean and maintained. It was neat watching them cook the pizzas as well and the pizza was amazing!!!

Just an ok pizza joint, many times we ordered the margarita pizza, employee put on black basil, once we told them to remove the old basil, thy literally scrapped off the basil and most of the sauce. They then put new basil on top of the none sauce pizza. Would not recommend this place.

The food was over priced and was awful. The highlight is the staff was very nice. That being said I will not return.

Man I was excited for some Pi pizza because it's traditional for my appointments. Man I am bummed, got 4 pieces of ham on my pizza (small pieces), waited 25 extra minutes desert knots, not happy.

Counter service pizza restaurant that serves wood fired, personal size pizzas that are the size of a dinner plate. They have lots of combination pizzas on the menu or you can customize your own. Ordered the pi salad and classic pizza. The pi salad was ok...the greens were fresh but the salad dressing could use a bit more vinegar or citrus and less oil. The classic pizza was delicious and perfectly baked. The toppings tasted great and the dough was fantastic. Usually, I'm weary of wood fired pizzas since the bottom of the pizzas are burnt making the pizza taste bitter, but that's not the case here! I'll be back to try other pizzas.

Ordered this for delivery during my work trip. I got the classic. The pizza was pretty good. The tomato sauce was better than I'm used to and the crust had that wood fired deliciousness. All in all, good pizza but not mind blowing.

Love the Jalapeño bread with ranch--kind of a class of its own, and I don't even like ranch.

We stopped in for a pizza and a salad. The chicken Cobb salad was standard. A little heavy handed with the dressing, and modest in size for a salad by my standards. The pizza was good, the crust thin and crispy. It didn't quite blow me away, but met our expectations. Service was quick and friendly. A good alternative if you're looking for a quick personal-sized pizza.

Our first time here...and we weren't really sure what we wanted (ordering pizza for a whole family). Our servers were very kind, explaining all the different things they offered (not at all pushy or frustrated that we didn't have our order ready). We got a salad, the jalapeño cheese stuffed bread (YUM!), pizzas and a kids pizza. It was well worth what we spent for our meal, even the foodie in our family liked it! Kudos to Pi!

We tried a pizza and an order of garlic cheese bread here and were very happy with the quick and friendly service. The cheese bread was excellent, and the pizza was good but not great. We liked the toppings and crust, but overall the pizza lacked taste. I'm guessing the tomato sauce needs a little more salt and less water. Some fresh basil or other seasoning may help too. Prices also seem a bit high. For our pizza, the cheese bread, and a drink we paid almost $18.00. This is a great lunch place, but probably too expensive to feed a family.

Great classic wood fired cozy pizza joint! Simple menu to order, great food, fast and friendly service. Just imagine the wonderful charred smoky smell when you walk in filled with aroma of meat, zesty tomato smell and herbs. We had stopped here twice and can't complain about the pizzas here. They make their own dough and all the ingredients are fresh. Anything with some spiciness is a win for me..the Cyclone definitely delivered that! Topped with Jalapeños, smokiness from the sausage, zesty sauce, sweetness from the pineapple balancing out the heat and a little charred crunch of pizza dough just hits the spot. Next with the San Marino...a fun spin on pizza topped with spinach and goat cheese, saltiness from the prosciutto and I added pineapple because nothing can go wrong with fruit on pizza! Sprinkle the pizza with generous amount of Parmesan and you are set. The sizes are just right and do not feel heavy after eating them. We ended with a sweet treat Apple Pi..you can smell the cinnamon as it was brought to the table. Light and sweet filled with glazed cinnamon apples will just bring smile at the end of the meal.

As expected for a counter pizza place where you make custom pizza or order one of their menu options. We got the buffalo chicken and the jalapeño bread. The bread was very nice. Spicy and soft. Above all tasted very fresh. We enjoyed the bread. The Buffalo chicken pizza was different. It has a raspberry sauce on top of it that was interesting. The pizza has an overwhelming amount of sauce. Don't think it is warranted. This overwhelms the pizza. If you enjoy fresh baked custom order pizzas, then this place probably warrants a visit. Eating up in the twin cities at custom order places, we dont think this is the best spot and above all just average for food. The decor is nice and the place is clean. I think we will probably come back giving the dearth of pizza places in Rochester.

My pizza was so cold it was literally hard to even bite into. it was stale and disgusting. I wasted $40 so if you order through DoorDash, just know you will be treated like crap and they won't help you at all. what a terrible experience and disgusting pizza. nasty.

This is the best pizza in Rochester. Always high quality! My go-to, every time. Had a nice interior when we were there a few years ago to eat inside.

This pizza restaurant is one of a couple in Rochester that has a wood fired oven. The facility is relative recent, and in a good location. But the employees have never been trained as to what makes a good wood fired pizza. Either the temp is not at the required 800 to 1000 degrees to make a good pizza, or they do not understand the process. I noticed at first they seem to hurry the pizza thru to turn out more orders. This makes the pizza undercooked, which mine was the first time. After asking it to be re-cooked, and get some char on it, it still never tasted as if the "meat' of the pie was cooked. The business was off with no dine in customers. A good wood fired pizza joint will stay packed out. They had a little better of call in orders, but mgt does not see the potential of what they have. It is so sad, as it could be - but isn't--a gold mine.

Everyone is friendly and the pies are super fast. They bring them out as they are ready and don't let them cool waiting for the next one. Don't bother with the mini bottles of wine.

The pizza is mediocre at best but what bothers me is the owner. We spent $70 on Doordash and when it arrived two of the four pizzas weren't what we wanted. When we called to tell them about the issue they said to drive over and they will switch them out. So even though we ordered delivery for a reason, we ended up having to drive over anyway and replace them. Then they tried charging us for the replacement pizzas because the owner said they had to. It's common restaurant etiquette that if your order is not what you expected then they replace it but here they are literally wasting all kinds of time when my family of five ordered this delivery two hours ago. We ended up having to pay for one extra pizza instead of two but we shouldn't have had to even do that. I'll never go here again because of that. Terrible service and communication.

It was ok. Ordered to go and it wasn't quite ready. Plenty of staff back there all wearing masks which was nice to see. Pizza was fine what would have made it better was for a thicker crust. It was too thin which made it dry because of being cooked in the brick oven. I'd try it again tho.

It was cold and the cheeses was barely melted. Not impressed. Domino's and Papa John's is more predictable for the price.

Pizza is ok. Service is good. If you are looking for Neapolitan style pizza. Punch pizza in Minneapolis is much better

I took the kiddo here per her request. She got a pepperoni pizza and I got the veggie pizza and the house salad . Both we above average and decently priced . I will say the guy at the cash register who's been there for a long time is very friendly and helpful. He along brought 4 stars to 5. We'd go back .

We ordered four things: 1) Cheese and Jalapeno Stuffed Bread, 2) San Marino Pizza, 3) The Classic Pizza, and 4) two bottled import beers. It seems like a lot of food, but the Pizzas are very small. The Cheese and Jalapeno Stuffed Bread was the best part. Really, really good stuff and I recommend getting this appetizer despite being a little overpriced. My wife loved the San Marino and I loved The Classic. The toppings are fresh and very tasty. We really enjoyed the pies. Why did we only give the place 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? It really deserves 3.5/5, but doesn't deserve 4/5 stars (so we rounded down). It earned this score because of the prices. A Hamilton for each of their pies felt a little overpriced. In NY, we payed this much for twice as much food. Their beer prices are $4 and $5 (domestic and import) a bottle, so this is not a place to go for beer/pizza (shame I didn't see a TV either). Pi - Change two things and you'll have some loyal customers. 1) Lower your prices or increase the portions. 2) Provide reasonably priced draft beer (say $5 domestic pitchers). Till then, we'll have to keep searching for "our" pizza place here in Rochester.

Pi Wood-Fired Pizza is pi-nnacle of wood-fired pizza in the Rochester area! I keep coming back to the fabulous food the pleasant people at Pi serve me.

As an out-of-towner from Chicago , this was my first time visiting. The owner (I assume) and his wife were very friendly, and I liked the overall experience. As a fellow business owner (PaperBlazer), I appreciated another friendly owner. I recommend the Red Barn or Barn Burner. lol. I forget the name.

A pizza community staple with variety of delicious pizzas and salads. The buffalo chicken pizza has a unique combo of wing sauce and raspberry that is unbelievable. Always friendly and fast service, definitely worth the call for takeout!

Maybe it's because Pizza is such a staple in Chicago - but this place could be so much better. The size of the pizza is great. The ingredients are in abundance. The atmosphere is great! But either the crust is too thick, or the oven temp was off when we went there. The edges were burnt, but the crust was soggy. The toppings needed to be cooked more. Maybe it was a bad night.

Highly recommended. Fast and friendly service. I used the online ordering and it was easy and quick to use! The picture below is the kids or small pizza and it was very tasty and fresh! I'm not the biggest fan of pizza but this may be my new favorite spot!

Probably one of the best wood fired pizza we have had ! Their jalapeño cheese bread is delicious as well. We will definitely go back when in the area ! Customer service was superb!
