Chicago’s best ceviche and aguachile - Eater Chicago

"Famous for its burgers, this Pilsen gastropub surprises with its seafood dishes.  Pi18en’s, aguachile is inspired by the exuberant port of San Blas in Riviera Nayarit. For this dish, chef César González sources sustainable shrimp from local vendors, which are butterflied or thinly sliced so that each piece can absorb the aguachile sauce. Finished with fresh serrano peppers and cucumbers, served on two fried tortilla tacos, the dish is simultaneously fresh and spicy." - Brenda Storch

Yelp
I was looking for something outside the traditional spots while in Pilsen during mole de mayo fest and this worked well! Cochinita pibil (seasoned pork) we're street taco size but deliciously seasoned with pickled radish hit the spot as did the "not your mama's horchata" (adult version with mescal). It's super loud (my only criticism but I was attracted to the 90s dance music do that's on me ‍) so don't expect to have intimate conversations!

Yelp
Stumbled in here for some drinks over the weekend. This place is BEAUTIFUL!! The amazing art everywhere, oh my gosh i went around touching walls lol. Drinks were strong and excellent. The young bartender kept great conversation. I heard from other patrons that the food is very good. I'll be back for food for sure.

Yelp
The brunch here is sick. I highly recommend the chilaquiles and French toast. Delicious!

Yelp
Went there a few Sundays ago, for brunch even though it was 2 pm. There were 3 in my party, maybe 15 people in the restaurant. Took 15 minutes to get drinks, just cokes, another 10 minutes to order, a chicken sandwich, pancakes, and omelette. After waiting a hour we asked our waiter how much longer for the food. He came back about 5 minutes to tell us he didn't know, so against common sense we waited another 15 minutes still no food. Finally woke up and asked for the 3 drink bill of just 3 cokes. Said no bill after talking to the manager. Hope they change it seemed like a nice place. The table sort of next to us sent their food back 3 times to get theirs right

Yelp
Returned a burger i requested medium well and was given medium rare. I only knew it was medium well cause i took a bite and saw red. I then proceeded to cut it in half to check if the rest of the patty & it was the same. I returned the burger and was given the same patty I bit into and cut in half but on a new bun. How do they know i don't have covid? All my mouth bacteria back on the griddle, yuck!
