The 18 Best Restaurants In Trastevere - Rome - The Infatuation

"The decor is just as memorable as the food at Pianostrada. The main room has an open kitchen with bar seating, along with vintage mirrors, soft lighting, elegant table settings, and a lush indoor garden in the back. It’s the type of place that’s warm yet sophisticated enough to bring your family or impress a dinner date. The menu changes every few days, but one thing you can always count on is the light and perfectly fluffy focaccia topped with things like stracciatella, anchovies, and tomatoes, or mortadella, pistachio, and honey. And if you spot the ultra crispy suckling pig or creamy zucchini-filled pasta alla nerano on the daily specials menu, order them without question." - annie replogle

I've lived in Rome for over 20 years and this evening was the best dining experience I've had yet, everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the wonderful team of staff. We sat at the counter giving us a great view of the immaculate kitchen and the amazing chefs who prepared every single dish with great attention to detail, precision and love. The food is fresh, beautiful and full of incredible flavours. I can't praise this restaurant enough. Thank you to the chef/owner her two lovely daughters and the whole kitchen team for a wonderful evening. We'll see you again very soon. James & Roberta.

A Culinary Revelation in Rome - Pianostranda! Pianostranda has delivered the best dining experience I've had in Rome to date. It's evident there's a deep passion for quality ingredients and culinary artistry here. They offer a refreshing take on modern Italian cooking, expertly woven with influences from around the world. The chefs skillfully balance sweetness, saltiness, and acidity in every dish, creating truly memorable flavor profiles. Beyond the incredible food, the service was wonderfully genuine and attentive. A must-visit!

I recommend seating at the bar, was comfy and loved to see how they cook, plus, regular table seating was really uncomfortable. We tried the zuchini pasta and the and the eggplant cake, were really tasty. All great!

This place is definitely worth a five star review. The vibe here is worth the visit alone. Lovely service, a creative and varied menu, and a great wine list (as well as a server who can talk about the individual wines). Some of the highlights were the “eggplant pie” and red tuna primi, the red snapper special and risotto alla Norma for secondi.
