Pianostrada - Review - Trastevere - Rome - The Infatuation

"The decor is just as memorable as the food at Pianostrada. The main room has an open kitchen with bar seating, along with vintage mirrors, soft lighting, elegant table settings, and a lush indoor garden in the back. It’s the type of place that’s warm yet sophisticated enough to bring your family or impress a dinner date. The menu changes every few days, but one thing you can always count on is the light and perfectly fluffy focaccia topped with things like stracciatella, anchovies, and tomatoes, or mortadella, pistachio, and honey. And if you spot the ultra crispy suckling pig or creamy zucchini-filled pasta alla nerano on the daily specials menu, order them without question." - Annie Replogle

A Culinary Revelation in Rome - Pianostranda! Pianostranda has delivered the best dining experience I've had in Rome to date. It's evident there's a deep passion for quality ingredients and culinary artistry here. They offer a refreshing take on modern Italian cooking, expertly woven with influences from around the world. The chefs skillfully balance sweetness, saltiness, and acidity in every dish, creating truly memorable flavor profiles. Beyond the incredible food, the service was wonderfully genuine and attentive. A must-visit!

We came to celebrate a wedding, and we were NOT disappointed. Very discreet from the outside, the magic happens as soon as you enter the restaurant : - open kitchen - professional and friendly staff - top quality ingredients and dishes - it feels like you are in the garden of Eden , with the organic decoration Must go when you visit Rome!

Best meal so far in Rome. Should be rated far high. Recommend the bar if you go as two. Lovely service; warm and welcoming. Chefs were deciding a new menu item and shared tastings with all of the bar for our opinions. Such an excellent experience all round.

We just finished dinner here and it was hands down the best meal we had in Rome. The food is not traditional but we knew that - it’s a fusion/experimental restaurant and they nailed it. After being victim to a number of “traditional” yet sub par restaurants in Rome we were skeptical given the prices but the food was amazing. We highly recommend the prawn pasta dish - we were convinced it was a rice/risotto but it was a semolina pasta shaped into rice and cooked as such! Brilliant - the prawn flavour was strong but delicious (if you like that flavour!). We also had the house made white focaccia and the bone marrow beef tartare and both were amazing. The bone marrow comes in-bone and was a great eating experience. The warm balsamic glaze was the best we have had. A lot of the reviews noted the prices being too high, but we have had similarly priced dinners across Italy and don’t think it’s overpriced at all. The ingredients were incredible (down to the olive oil that accompanied the welcome bread). My only regret was having such a large lunch that we couldn’t eat more menu items! The service (and ambience) was so lovely and a great way to end our trip to Rome. Highly recommend if you are in Trastravere! Overall we spent €78 (including cover fee and water) and would definitely go back if we are ever back in Rome.

It was one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to. The atmosphere is very relaxing and romantic, and the food is gorgeous. The only tiny downsides are the long waiting time, small portions (as in fine cuisine restaurants), and prices slightly above average. But once again, Pianostrada is definitely a place worth trying! Highly recommend!
