Four of us went there for dinner on Sunday, 5/18/2025. Parking lot was packed but we were lucky to find a parking space right in front of the restaurant. We had a reservation for 6:15. We arrived at 6:00 and got seated right away. We chose outside sitting since it was a very pleasant evening. The restaurant was packed and lively. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. It was a very nice dinner for my family. I also noticed that many tables were celebrating someone's birthday.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Food, Just a Bit Understaffed Had a lovely meal at Piatti—fantastic food, cozy atmosphere, and a well-curated menu with fresh, flavorful dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The only downside was the service. Our server was clearly overwhelmed with a large table and wasn’t as attentive as we would’ve liked. He ended up mixing up one of our orders. While it was eventually corrected but others on the table waited and the food got cold. Still, the food was good enough that I’d consider coming back—hopefully with a bit more attentive service next time.

I tried Piatti's happy hour menu and enjoyed it! The Piatti Spritz was nice, and the Margherita pizza was good. The Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli was tasty but a bit too lemony for my liking. I will skip it next time. I loved the ambiance, especially the open kitchen. It wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon.

Fresh house-made pasta, amazing local bread (we ate 3 baskets), great ambience and amazing service. This restaurant earned its 5s all across the board and is one i would love to go back to when in the area.

I booked a table for 15 for my partner’s birthday celebration. From reservation to the time we left, the service and hospitality were excellent. What a pleasure it was to work with Tami Morgan, the special events manager, and our server, David. The food and cocktails as always are delicious and received high praise from my family and friends. We had a fantastic dining experience.

My wife and I absolutely love coming to Piatti in Danville. Every visit is a great experience, but our most recent one really stood out. From the moment we walked in, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome—especially with my wife’s small service dog. They made sure we were seated comfortably in a booth, and you could really tell they cared about making us feel at home. The manager, our waitress, and every staff member we interacted with were incredibly kind, attentive, and just genuinely good people. It’s rare to feel that level of care and hospitality these days, and it meant a lot to us. We also love the refreshed look of the restaurant—it feels warm and inviting, perfect for a date night or a casual evening out. And of course, the bread they serve is still amazing. It’s become one of our favorite little things to look forward to. If you haven’t been to Piatti in a while, or if you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and stop by. Great food, great people, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

Gave this place another try with our team lunch yesterday and got disappointed with $35 steak quality as it being extremely chewy and lacking the taste. On the other hand, the beet salad was really fresh and delicious. Pumpkin cheesecake was very much on the dry side. Bread pudding is something to try. The ambience is classy and neat. Quiet and relatively busy starting around 3 PM. Service was pleasant and sometimes even fun with others cracking the jokes. Good to go every so often. Hope for the steak quality improvements.

Yelp
Our dinner reservations for a party of (6) were this past Saturday and let's just say our expectations were more than met! This was my first visit to Piatti in Danville but it definitely won't be my last! We arrived a little bit early but were immediately greeted and seated. Our server came by promptly brought us water, took our drink order and asked if we wanted bread. The bread was extremely warm, generous in portion size and was accompanied with one of the best sauce I've ever had. I don't know what the mix consisted of, but it was unbelievably tasty. I typically don't like garlic but I couldn't resist eating more bread just so I can dip it in this magical sauce. The menu is straight forward without being overly complicated or having too many unnecessary options. Appetizers ordered were fried calamari, bruschetta and olives. All great options and easily shareable. I opted for the Margherita pizza, which was cooked perfectly in a coal pizza oven. The ingredients were perfectly assorted and you can just taste the freshness. Every member of our party was satisfied with their meals. From chicken to steak, the food was perfectly cooked. For drinks, a full bar is located to the right of the restaurant. I had one old-fashioned and thoroughly enjoyed it. I limited myself to one drink as I was driving but had I been a passenger, I would have easily ordered one or two more- they were that good! In terms of service, the pace is good. It wasn't 'fast', but it wasn't slow either. It was the right amount of speed for us to enjoy our bread, appetizers and entrées. Our waiter was very educated on the menu and you could tell this guy is a professional. It's rare to see this level of professionalism from a waiter in the SF Bay Area, but you'll get it here! Lastly, let's talk pricing. I was shocked at the bill. It was far cheaper than I expected. Considering the amount of food we ordered and alcohol, the pricing is more than fair. In fact, it's on the cheaper side which is surprising as this is a 'nice' restaurant. Thank you for the great food & service. I plan on coming back on many occasions.

Yelp
We ended up at Piatti because we were going to try a different Italian restaurant on Saturday - needless to say we walked in and walked right out of that place and into Piatti. When we walked in, my wife immediately noticed that they remodelled the place. This was later confirmed by the manager that they just reopened after a 3 month shutdown/remodel. We came for lunch and was immediately sat down. We were told who our server would be and after 5 minutes of waiting he finally showed up to greet us and give us water. I ordered a drink and my wife asked for ice and he was off. It took another 5 minutes for the ice to be given to us and another 2 minutes for my drink to come. This would be a pattern for the time we were dining - the server would come by and we would ask for something (sometimes twice) and it would be a while before we would get it. To top it off - we were sat near two individuals (male) who were loud, obnoxious, and visibly intoxicated. One individual was louder than the other and that one would do facetime calls from his phone and talk really loud. It was obvious that they were disturbing the other patetrons in the restaurant because the manager finally came up to them to confront them. But this was after at least 45 minutes since we had been in the restaurant and who knows how long that they had been in the restaurant before we got there. After some hub-bub - those two individuals finally left - but not after some "threats" of Yelping and telling people about this on social media - the louder one even pretended to video tape the crowd. After they left the manager came to our table to apologize for the loud guests. He offered us free desserts and coffee to compensate for them. We appreciated that he tried to make it right. Note: the pasta dishes we had were very good, as well as the desserts and coffee

Yelp
Came here yesterday for the first time since my husband and I were looking for an Italian place that opened before noon. We got seated quickly since we were still within the initial 30 min of opening. Once we got seated, the server was really attentive, allowing time when needed but also not waiting too long before taking our orders. I ended up getting their arancia ginger soda, a cup of their minestrone soup, the Manila clams linguini, and their roasted broccolini. My husband got their polpette sandwich and the butternut squash soup. The ginger soda was interesting as you can definitely taste the component. The slice of ginger placed in it was interesting though ultimately I didn't do anything with it. It's a bit unnecessary in my opinion. The minestrone soup was pretty good, but I wish the fresh basil wasn't on top since it would occasionally overwhelm the soup's natural taste. Otherwise the base itself was spot on delicious. The Manila clam linguini was okay honestly. Nothing really worth writing home about except for the fact the linguini was cut in a special way as opposed to the generic factory cut version of the pasta. The clams were a bit small so I do wish they were bigger. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the broccolini more as that was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It's a really good side. So would I come back? Maybe? But given the price, I kind of expect things a bit better?

Yelp
I made a last minute reservation, but got my day mixed up. I actually used the Open Table and booked the wrong day. The reservation was early enough before the Dinner rush, and they were able to accommodate a party of 5 people. The lady at the Hostess was very understanding and was able to get us a booth. The food was good and I started off with a Negroni. I had ordered a Rigatoni with Meat marinara and pork. I had also ordered a side Caesaer salad without Anchovies. The Server was very helpful and friendly and he was able to handle our special request. One of the people in our party had to leave early but everything worked out in the end. The only thing was that perplexed me was that you had to ask for bread instead of them putting the bread (ciabatta) on the table. There was a minimal charge for the bread but it was really good. Definitely will go again for the ambiance and the food. Will look forward to try the Blueberry Cobbler crisp dessert that the Server had suggested for next time.

Yelp
I've been coming to this location since day 1. I have always loved the food and staff. Since the recent remodel, the management has decided that white wines offered by the glass must be obscure wines. $16-20 per glass. There isn't a single California Chardonnay offered by the glass. Frank Family, Sonoma Cutrer, Wente, Le Crema. As a person, who comes in after work, who doesn't want to buy a full bottle, this is ridiculous. Which has led to this review and my choosing other establishments. I wrote to Piatti directly a month ago. No response.

Bridget A.

Yelp
Went for my Moms Birthday and our server Patricia was excellent. All we wanted was to sit by the fireplace and get the bread pudding and we got both.

Gayle M.

Yelp
Service was amazing. But the Turkey Panini was not as expected. The turkey on the sandwich was in slices that were at least an inch thick. And slightly gamey. Not sure I would go back there. Atmosphere is great but the food is mediocre.

Harpreet W.

Yelp
Everything here.. we just loved it..food to service to staff... most importantly their care to dietary restrictions

SK G.

Yelp
Ten of us made a reservation for a holiday dinner. It took them a wee bit of time to set the table up and get us seated. Food was good to great. Not a single person complained! Great wine list and excellent cocktails. Service was excellent from Zach and the two hard working bus-men! The restroom renovation is good but the height of the solo urinal left me wondering, why?! Consistently good!

Winnie L.

Yelp
Piatti is opened again! Made a last minute reso within the same hour for lunch. 1st time here since the remodeled. The interior was nicely done with the olive green velvet booths and dimmed lights in the back. The restrooms definitely had a makeover. Wow. Onto the food. Still delicious as ever. Had the rigatoni with their signature bolog sauce. Pasta Al dente. Tiramisu was perfect! Nicely soaked overnight, with creamy mascapone filling, dusted cocoa powder. Beer was chilled and refreshing on a hot day. Cucumber Cooler, and all time favorite was thirst quenching. So glad they are back

Kevin G.

Yelp
First visit since the remodel. Menu is mostly unchanged which is kind of a shame as it could use a refresh. 4* for the Brushchetta and 5* for the beef carpaccio. 3* for the spaghetti and meatballs - the pasta was too al dente (and not noted as such) but meatballs were very good. 5* for Bread pudding which is the only dessert item worth having. Service was pathetically slow despite the place emptying out during our meal. Overall very enjoyable but would be nice to see managers checking on tables and empower staff to assist

Tamara G.

Yelp
I would not order the half chicken entree again! The chicken was small and touch, the Brussel sprouts were an unexpected slaw of brussel sprouts and I don't know what. I ordered takeout, so I couldn't ask about the food in person. I think I'll stick with another tried and true Danville restaurant for Mary's half chicken.

Bryan L.

Yelp
Bring back the polenta please. We always go for the meatballs with polenta, and they just swapped in mashed potatoes. Please - please - please, go back to polenta. Not a good call. We LOVE PIATTIs, the happy hour is amazing, and Norberto and Pete are our favorite bartenders. They make amazing martinis. But the meatballs are NOTHING without that amazing polenta!

Iris C.

Yelp
It's been a while since our last visit. Another awesome experience from the time step in till leave. We were early to our reservation, the wait wasn't long though. Got seated properly. Interior was nicely decorated. Host was sweet and attentive. The kitchen messed up our appetizer. They took back and fixed it right away. Food was delicious and priced reasonable. We left with satisfaction and filled tummy. Parking could be a disaster during dinner time.

Nitu C.

Yelp
Great authentic pasta ,loved it . Service was excellent, our host was very friendly and professional rare combination. Great restaurant

Yelp
Just went to Piatti's to celebrate my birthday, and as always, it was absolutely top-notch. I originally had a reservation for 4 PM but asked if we could move to a later time. They called the morning of to confirm the reservation, and when I asked about shifting the time, they said they'd check and get back to me. Sure enough, a couple of hours later, they called to let me know a family had canceled, and we could take their spot. Perfect timing and an amazing start to the evening! The food was incredible in every way--every dish was spot-on. The new layout is gorgeous, with the greens, sage tones, gold accents, and those cozy couches creating a stylish and inviting vibe. One change this year was they no longer write your name on the menu; instead, they give you a card signed by the team. It's a nice, personal touch, but I do miss the custom menus :). Still, everything about the experience was fantastic, and Piatti's continues to be the best!

Laura M.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening at Piatti last night. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived, and the timing of the dinner was just right--not too rushed, but not too slow either. My dining companions thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, soup, and salad. One friend even joked that the salad dressing was so good she could lick the bowl! I opted for the pasta bolognese, which was absolutely delightful. I was pleased to learn that the pasta is made fresh in-house. The restaurant was recently remodeled and I feel it's much nicer now with comfortable chairs. We will be back!

Lysette B.

Yelp
I am a frequent at Piatti's. Love their food, the vibe, and usually their service. However, their service fell short on a really important celebratory holiday. I just got done dining there with my dad for Father's Day and I live in Napa so he wanted to eat some place special. The special was a halibut and it was pretty bland and disappointing. The bread and garlic dip is always great and Caesar salad is always tasty. The service for the first time was not satisfactory. I understand the busy pace of accommodating holiday needs, and large parties especially. It was disappointing only because I only see my dad every so often and it was only 2 of us where we ordered our food right away. Again, Piatti's is a wonderful place to dine; it was a bummer that the server we had couldn't "manage" the tables she had. Pictured is the lemon ravioli which is my absolute favorite at Piatti's and a Mendocino county Pinot noir.

Sue F.

Yelp
After being seated on time, sat for a while (had reservations) with no water/drinks or service. Not ideal but after that everything went well. Customer service was good and ambiance was nice. Drinks not cheap but good and my arugula salad was excellent. My raviolis (which I have ordered for decades no lie) were just okay this time. Very, very rich and only slight lemon taste. The lemon flavor was what has always called my name. I would definitely try something different next time. Husband had lasagna and liked it. All in all a good time and prices were reasonable for the area, just nothing really special like I remember it being in the past.

Prashant K.

Yelp
Had a group dinner at Piatti. The ambiance was good and we were seated promptly. The place appears a bit cramped though. We started off with cocktails - good choice and good value for the money. Their wine list was limited. I started off with the beet salad that was very nicely made. Portions were just right. I then had their meat lasagna - good taste and the quantity was perfect. I would prefer a bit more meat in the sauce. I did not have desert - some other folks did. They raved about the Tiramisu. Service was courteous and quick. All in all, a good experience.

Marie L.

Yelp
They are good, price are reasonable Me and my husband love their cream of mushroom soup, the taste is excellent creamy and it's vegan I was amazed I highly recommend this spot in Danville

Alexandra A.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this place out. My man brought me for my birthday since he knows I love Italian food. When we got there, the parking lot was packed, but there's a steak house right next door, so I'm sure both spots get really packed. When you walk in it had a nice vibe to it. All the lights and decor just made it that enjoyable. The place was pretty packed, but he made reservations, so we didn't have to wait. We started with the bread and white vinegar sauce I can't remember the name of it but oh my gosh. The bread was so warm and fresh, and the sauce was delicious. I had to order more bread lol I loved it. We ordered the bruschetta, squash Ravioli and linguine. I must say everything was full of so much flavor it was amazing. It hit the spot and they serve just the right amount. Birthday's you get a free tiramisu dessert, we had to also order the bread pudding lol. Clearly I love bread. But again the bread pudding did not disappoint just like everything else. I can't wait to try this place again.

Debbie W.

Yelp
One of my oldest best friend treated me to a birthday dinner here. We had early 4:00 dinner reservation to beat the crowd. I had the petra sole and my friend the lasagna. The petra sole was delicious over a heaping mound of mashed potatoes and spinach. You need to ask for bread which came warm with the oil and vinagrette to dip in which was also delicious. We also had the beet spring lettuce salad - with oranges, feta cheese and walnuts. We shared it as it was a heaping mound for two light eaters. Nice ambiance but restaurant can get chatty and a little noisy as it fills up. By 6:00pm the restaurant was almost full as was the parking lot when we left. i also noticed other tables celebrating birthdays. Note: Another 4% will be added to the tab for staff - it's also noted on the bottom of the menu. Service was great and attentive. Our table for 2 was by the fireplace which was nice and toasty. Grab a few mints on your way out on the side table near the front. Birthday dessert will be complimentary if you ask. (We had the tiramisu which was also shared.)

Bill B.

Yelp
The food was what's the best way to say it- seriously professional. Like no nonsense, push you back in your seat, we dare you to find better Italian food. I think the owner was trying to be our waitress. Maybe they were short staffed that day. There are waitress types for a reason, it's just something you can't fake. You know, sort of how directors direct, and actors act? Like that. Still, I'd return.

Slava C.

Yelp
Give this please another try with our team lunch yesterday and disappointed with $35 take quality as it being extremely chewy and lacking of taste. On the other hand, the beet salad was really late and delicious. Pumpkin cheesecake was very much on the dry side. Bread pudding is something to try. The ambience is classy and neat. Quiet and relatively busy starting around 3 PM. Service was pleasant and sometimes even fun with others cracking the jokes.

Zainab B.

Yelp
After being a patron for such a long time, I will never return. The host was completely rude offering us seating but we had to be out within an hour for one option and 45 minutes for the other. Never even greeted us. Will gladly take my money elsewhere. Find some real help or lose more customers. By the way, the restaurant was close to empty.

Amey U.

Yelp
Whoa!! What a place! We were lucky to have Gerry as our waitstaff. Did HE know the menu! He was attentive, affable and helpful. The warm bread arrived and that started our meal. We had the spinach salad with marinated chicken. I followed with Cream of Broccoli soup and hubby had the petrole sole. AMPLE portions! Gerry kept our water glasses full and was on point to answer any questions and give suggestions. He knew what each menu item had and what would go with what! The venue was superb. Next time we will sit on the beautiful outside terraces. You have a GREAT team, Reza!

S S.

Yelp
Drinks are great appetizers are fantastic and the pork chop is delicious. Ambience is phenomenal. Crowd is awesome. Service is great and very kind. It's a bit away from where I live but definitely worth a second shot. I go back again hands-down

Shannon L.

Yelp
Back for another great business dinner. I was pleased to see that their cheese ravioli with the most amazing lemon cream sauce is now a menu item rather than a special. It is truly a unique dish that stands out for this restaurant. I split the panna cotta with blueberry compote with a coworker, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is nice. However, the tables are very close together so if people don't scoot right up to the tables, you're going have to squeeze your way out to use the bathroom. And I'm a petite woman.

Ashley H.

Yelp
11/4/2023 I've been to this restaurant previously and I wasn't a huge fan the first time I went. It could have been the food I ordered. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday after a birthday party and it was way better. We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation and we were told that we would have to wait an hour. We were seated in 20 minutes. We were seated in their back patio. The patio was beautiful and felt like we were transported to a different place in the world. We didn't order any appetizers. We went straight to entrees. My boyfriend ordered the Bolognese and I ordered the Linguine and clams. The serve was amazing! I would go here again!

Susan K.

Yelp
The ambience and the food were both terrific, but the only reason I didn't give them five stars was because it took way too long for the entree to arrive. Overall, they are still a great place to dine. The appetizer Brussels sprouts with bacon was amazing. Good portion size and could be an entree by itself. The bread with the dipping sauce was magical. So good I ate two plates of the sauce and two baskets of bread by myself before the appetizer even arrived.

Foodie B.

Yelp
Welcome back Piatti!! I love that they have daily happy hour (3-6pm) now! Stopped in after new restaurant renovations to see our favorite bartender, Norberto, and were greeted with a warm smile and the utmost in hospitality! Love the new happy hour and regular menu, cocktails are upskilled and diverse menu and appetizers. This will be our Saturday Happy Hour and Sunday Happy Hour spot going forward. Keep diversifying your offerings - loving the new vibe.

Pankaj B.

Yelp
Newly renovated and very romantic dinner place. Bread and Bruschetta are good. Serves delicious Italian Ravioli for vegetarian.. Will come again and again.

Judith C.

Yelp
The Bruschetta was covered in garlic! What a disappointment! The roasted butternut squash soup bland. My 2 guests truly enjoyed the salmon. The service was sporadic but overall okay. Everyone knows that you are unable to have a conversation as the acoustics are very poor. This was our second visit since the reopening. The first visit was very good; so I didn't hesitate in going once again. I'll think twice next time.

Laelah Q.

Yelp
UPDATE: Changed from 3 stars to 5 stars after receiving a message from management updating me on the menu items that were removed. I was told the Mary's chicken would return that week so we went in shortly after, and true to their word, Mary's chicken was back on the menu and tasted delicious as always! Thank you for listening to your customers! Went on the second day after they reopened and while the service was great, the menu was not. We were bummed that they took off the two items our family loves, the Mary's Chicken and the Chicken Parmesan. They recommended another chicken plate that they said was similar to Mary's Chicken. The chicken was similar with the exception it was 1/2 the size of what you normally would get, the stuff they paired it with I didn't care for at all. It appeared to look like large white beans and some other stuff mixed together, it looked and tasted like it was on top of bean soup. I always say, if it's not broke, don't fix it and I think they really made a mistake with the menu changes. I hope they return the Mary's Chicken and the Chicken parmesan because those were the items we went for!

K Q.

Yelp
Our first time back after their remodel- the place looks amazing and it was packed. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us in a cozy booth as long as we were done by a specific time. We never felt rushed and our server, Miguel was great. Our entries came out piping hot and fresh: oven roasted salmon, spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp pasta, and rigatoni with bolognese. We didn't have room for dessert but the choices looked tempting. Friendly staff at the host booth as well.

Stephani M.

Yelp
I picked Piatti for my birthday dinner (my 21st repeat bday dinner-lol). Let me tell you they never disappoint. We arrived and were greeted with a friendly "hello" and a quick trip to our table. The place was packed but they were on point with everything. Our server, Erin, was amazing, knowledgeable and hospitable. She answered our questions, made suggestions and had a patient and confident attitude. We shared a bottle of rose, several appetizers and were so full that we only ordered two entrees even though there were four of us--and couldn't complete the meal! We had delicious deserts and an espresso martini (which was more like birthday cake to me). I loved everything and would return again and again and also recommend to my friends.

Alyson C.

Yelp
I've come here a few times and I always have to give it up to their service, because it's always great. The atmosphere is nice for a date, celebration, etc., and the bar is pretty nice too. The shrimp pasta and calamari were good, but I wouldn't say fantastic, just because I felt it could've been more flavorful for a "spicy" pasta. Calamari was average. I'll put it this way, Danville has a lot of nice restaurants with great aesthetics and groovy vibes, but the food (this cuisine in particular) is just... lacking. Id say this place would be higher on my list of this town's best restaurants.

Kristine G.

Yelp
Returned for my Bday a few days ago and our server was much better this time ! My Chicken Sandwich was wonderful loved the red pepper aioli, for dessert the Tiramisu was so yummy!! I'm so happy a few items are back on the menu also such as Mary's Chicken! Sidenote- I would love to see mashed potatoes as an option on the menu instead of the white bean side dish. I will be back to Piatti !! This is one of my favorite restaurants!!!

Heather H.

Yelp
Date night option that we enjoyed very much, sat outside in the very nice patio and enjoyed a fantastic meal with wine. Pizza, fish, salad, plenty of complimentary bread. It was fantastic, including attentive but not interruptive service.

Eashma B.

Yelp
Piatti made my birthday unforgettable! From handwritten notes signed by the team to a warm, candlelit ambiance and beautifully presented dishes, every detail felt special. The freshly baked bread and open kitchen, where the happy staff worked with care, added to the experience. A perfect spot for a memorable family meal--highly recommend!

Carl P.

Yelp
Overrated , Service was slow , food was plain, Way over priced, just a bad overall experience! Typical uptight Danville people wanting to be seen!

Ella A.

Yelp
07.09.2023 - Dinner w/ BNU. Perfect spot to get together with a group of friends. Service was really attentive and food was good. Didn't get a chance to soak in the ambience as I was immersed in the company that I was with. But from the outside, it looked very inviting and warm. Surrounded by trees and greens, walking to the front door felt like I was walking into an enchanted forest with delicious Italian aromas. Seated by the window at a large round table to fit a group of 8+1. Perfect! The menu offered a wide range of appetizers, salads, pizzas and pasta. Crispy calamari ordered to share. Portions are huge! Ended up ordering 2 of the bruschetta. Plenty for everyone to have a piece. A toast with all the fixings on top. Tomato, garlic, burrata, basil, balsamic vinaigrette - each bite tasted fresh, sweet, tangy and creamy. A fantastic appetizer. Some ordered lasagna, some Rigatoni, few got the pizza. Can't vouch for the taste, but it sure looked appetizing to the eyes. I got the PEI mussels with a side of fries. Every time I get mussels, the first thing I try is the broth. Such a hearty, tomato brother with a hint of spice for me going goo-goo-ga-ga for it. Mussels were on the more petite side, but don't let those tiny little mussels fool you. It came with a punch of flavor. The side of fries were slightly a disappointment. Parmesan cheese shavings sprinkled on top. Not sure what brand they used, but it had a very strong smell that threw me off. But the parts that didn't have cheese, were crunchy to have with my bowl of mussels. Lolla Rossa salad was also my favorite! Perfectly dressed, the mixed greens were fresh, the strawberries were sweet and the almonds added a beautiful texture to every bite. Definitely a must-order salad! Sadly, we didn't have time to try any of their desserts. That's ok because I'll just have to come back. Would love to try some of the other items on their menu.

Yelp
First timer to Piatti. We took my Grandma here for a lunch outside on their patio and it was lovely. We ordered the deviled eggs, shrimp pasta, chicken panini, pulled pork sandwich, Margherita pizza and a combination pizza. I like how you can pick between two sizes for the pasta, a lunch portion and a dinner portion. The pasta lunch portion my brother ordered was generous. We all shared the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla gelato for dessert. The service was excellent. Our waitress Jill was great and I think the manager came by to check in. I also like the area in the plaza, lots of trees and it's beautiful on a nice summer day. Parking is also easy and plentiful even during lunchtime on a Saturday. 5 stars for Piatti and I would come back again!

Yelp
Fiancé and I decided to have a late anniversary dinner since we were in the area. Upon arriving, I notified the host that we didn't have a reservation. There were seats open in the patio area and we definitely didn't mind since it was so nice outside but I think that was my first mistake. Our server did not even know we were there... there was another table that was seated after us and their server came. It was when I really had to go to the restroom and informed the host that our server probably forgot about us. Not sure what the situation was there but eventually, our server did come and took our order. Let me say that the food was delicious!! We had the calamari, arugula salad (sub goat cheese with shaved parmesan), salsicce, and the pork sugo pappardelle. The reason for the 3/5 stars is because of service. It was understandable that maybe our server forgot our table in the beginning but it continued throughout our entire dinner. Server was friendly but I don't know if he was absorbed inside the restaurant or what but there were 2-3 tables beside ours and he went to their tables at least 2-3x before ever stopping by ours. It was almost like he didn't want to look at our table... it was so obvious we were being ignored I'm pretty disappointed. The closest table to us was probably 5 feet away and I raised my hand multiple times but he didn't even look towards our table. We wanted to leave but couldn't even do so because asking for the check took us a good 15-20 minutes and we had to go to the host lol It's hard when you want to rate the restaurant 5/5 because the food was delicious, but service was lacking. I mean cmon we went to the host twice but only having to wait 15-20 minutes... I think that's more than enough time. Yeah again disappointing *big sigh*

Yelp
I have been a regular at Piatti, Danville and have always ordered Linguini and clams. Sadly since their reopening it is no longer on the menu. As soon as they bring it back on the menu I will start going there again. Dave, danville

Yelp
Piatti did a remodel and changed the menu. I have been going to Piatti for many years. I have done birthdays, holiday dinners and was happy with service and food. Since the menu change I always have at least 1 disappointment per meal. The first time was the butterscotch pudding terrible they have since removed it. Tonight on my anniversary I ordered dinner and for myself I ordered eggplant Parmesan they had no side with it, no pasta. I called and spoke to Mark he mirrored my surprise but no answer for it. He said let "them" know about maybe they will change it?!? Really I have not ever seen this dish come without pasta. They say we will let our chef know I think you should rethink the chef! It is sad how downhill eating out has become. It is sad that cutting corners and reducing cost has come to no pasta with eggplant, the acidity of this dish requires a carb with it.

Yelp
We were at Piatti's for Happy Hour and the food and especially the service was 5STAR!! I am vegan and they had no problem making changes to the food I ordered. Their warm olive plate was beyond outstanding. Thank you to Piatti's and our waiter.

Yelp
First and last time dining at this place! The service was great , the dish I ordered not so much , the polenta chicken masala with mushrooms sautéed in wine , tasted as if it had been a few day's old , and microwaved . Lumpy polenta that was cold Very few mushrooms that had an odd wine flavor and the chicken was unbearable. A manager inquired about our meals, I had too be honest , and let him know this particular dish was sub par . They did not charge me .... Their were quite a few people in the area where we dined , it felt rather cramped, and it has several eating sections that could have been better utilized for seating .Never Again ..... Ethel Kubota. Ps. The two friends I dined with are White , I am of mixed heritage , their food was satisfying. Was this discrimination ? it felt like it .
