My boyfriend order the veal. Its was ok. Nothing stand up. Maybe i order wrong plate.. I should order Pasta. I will go back and try to Pescatore next time 😁 Italian supposed to be like mmmm yam yam. Just not my italian😞😞

Google
The service is excellent and the food is delicious. I'm happy about my choice for having dinner in this place.

Google
Great place for a BD Lunch. It was a big group and quickly accommodated. The service staff were really attentive and the food tasted really good. Serving sizes are big enough for me to eat twice off of.

Google
We really enjoyed this venue for a company get together. The food was solid and delicious. The atmosphere was very friendly, open and enjoyable. The owner also walked around to meet everyone. The seating areas were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back for group dinners or even personal get togethers.

Google
We went here for my niece's birthday! It was delicious food and entertainment! They had a live band on a Thursday evening!!!

Google
Piattos is a small Italian restaurant in the Galleria area with very personalized service. The staff takes care of your needs promptly. I have ordered different meals each visit and loved each entree. I, usually, go on the nights when the Hit-n-Run band performs there. Though, technically, there isn't a dance floor the staff manages to continue their wonderful service while we dance in front of the band.

Google
Kind of family owned place, small and cozy. Food is not bad but it is just average. We bruschetta and caprese salad as appetizers. Then I had cannoli which was good but it was stuck on the bottom of the pan (I surely lost a good percentage of my food due to this), my wife had chicken, rigatoni with eggplant, little difficult to eat. Waiter was friendly but quite honestly we don’t go to a restaurant to have a chat with the waiter. Price is a little higher than the quality of the food. Won’t come back, unfortunately…

Google
What a wonderful dinner! The salmon special was spectacular, the asparagus and crab app was fantastic, and the staff is extremely attentive. (The wine and cocktail were also excellent.) Five star evening! Before I submitted the review, Google suggested dishes to include, which prompted us to order the lemon cheesecake! GET IT!!! YUM!

Yelp
To start with, the people here are so nice and attentive! Always an easy place for great food. I have been here more casual or dressed up and it fits either way. This has become one of my go to's! We have loved every meal we have had and the wine is good too. Easy parking in the garage behind is always a plus!

Yelp
Piatto is a nice little restaurant nestled in the Galleria area with friendly staff, owners and delicious food! We had a company lunch within walking distance from the restaurant, and it was a nice little place to dine-in! This place offers up some delicious Italian cuisine, that suits all palettes! The one reason I like this place is that I can taste the authenticity of the food, and it's not some "wanna-be" Italian place like Olive Garden or other places of the sort. I ordered the Linguine Pescatore, and it was very tasty! I like to have seafood with my pasta, so this dish served me very well! It also comes with bread, and a nice salad on the side! Some other good suggestions that I heard about Pappardella alla Vodka, Penne Melanzane and Chicken Parmesan!

Yelp
Piatto Ristorante on a Thursday night. I feel that this restaurant is a true hidden gem. This is a small restaurant located by the Dillards near the 610 loop. Reservations are recommended as the place is small. The food here is delicious and beautiful. The service is top notch. We started with a couple of Old Fashions, no happy hours here. Followed by Asparagus with jump crab meat and an order of Calamari Fritti. Then shared a Nita's chopped salad which has, diced tomatoes, olives, green salad mix toppled with feta cheese. Some Risotto Primavera for dinner. And ended with a slice of Butter Cake.

Yelp
Great food at this family run restaurant. Wine dinners are the best value in town.

Yelp
Really good service and food. Wish there were more restaurants like this these days. My wife and I had the chopped salad, eggplant Parmesan, and clams and linguini. Our kids had a cheese pizza and butter noodles. All was delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. Drinks and wine on point. The whole experience was very nice.

Yelp
So took work team here, and it is absolutely amazing. I am very, very impressed every time I've been here. Two of us had seafood, and came with fettuccini Alfredo, and it was excellent. The Chicken Picata was also crazy good. The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is top notch. If you enjoy traditional Italian, you should try it.

Yelp
Homemade pasta, incredible service, family owned. Even though I am from out of town, I felt very much at home. I love to eat at bars that I can enjoy a nice meal and maybe watch TV. This place was perfect! Great wine list (a MUST for me), and Enrique made me feel so welcomed! The homemade dressing on the wedge was amazing. The Linguini Bashaw was wonderful. Large portions. The espresso martini was a great ending to a wonder meal. The dining room is quaint with nice table cloths and great background music. Large windows making this location very open and bright. This is a MUST for Italian lovers in Houston especially if you are in the Galleria area! I walked here from my hotel. I will be back!

Yelp
The service and ambiance were nice. Met friends there for dinner. The fried asparagus appetizer was on point. I had the Italian sausage with pasta in a vodka sauce. I give it an 8 out of 10. Would have like a little more sauce and less sausage. The homemade pasta was excellent. Too full for dessert but the menu looked great!

Yelp
Off to a bad start! I had a reservation for 4 o clock on a Tuesday (June 15, 2021). I show up at 3:55 waiting outside in 100 degree weather. Instead of the waiter having the common sense to ask me if I'm here for the reservation at four, he unlocks the door and walks away while I have my back turned. So had I not called them at 4:05, after ten minutes of sweating my ass off, I would have still been standing out there unaware they even unlocked the door. And his response is; "oh yeah we opened the door." Lol. Gee f**king thanks. The server brought me my water and said "I'll bring you bread and some butter." Never brought it. Too busy sitting there in the phone talking shit with the other server. No wine specials, no soup of the day. Nothing lol. The food arrived pretty quick and it was awesome. Thankfully, the cook is great. I want to give the restaurant a 2.5 because the food was amazing. It's not the kitchen's fault. The service though is garbage. Crazy part is, I'm the only one in here!! I don't know how the f**k this place has a 4.5 on here. As an out of towner, I'd only recommend this if you have a lot of patience. The food was great though!

Yelp
I had a very pleasant Valentine's Day dinner here the other night. I booked through OpenTable and unfortunately had my reservation cancelled somehow. Fortunately, they were still able to squeeze me in at my original time slot. As evidenced by that short story, the service is excellent across the board. They were very prompt with refilling drinks and suggesting menu items. The Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan (pictures attached) which was well cooked and very filling. The restaurant felt very intimate and had very beautiful murals and pictures on the walls. There was also a free parking garage around the corner from the building. Would recommend and will come back at a future date.

Brandy P.

Yelp
Great authentic Italian cuisine! Friendly staff and a home feeling environment. Will return for sure!

Yelp
Looove the food here. It's one of my favorite places after being at the Galleria. The service, staff and ownership is PHENOMENAL! They really treat you like family, although I've relocated out of state I'm sure this will be one of my first place to visit when I come to Houston!!!

Paul S.

Yelp
Arrived at noon. Good luck figuring out where to park. Ordered right away and at 12:25, your food will be right out. 12:35 your food will be right out. 12:45...finally at 12:55 it comes. After throwing down our food the waiter flies away. Uh oh, damn food is cold. After 10 minutes more I see him and he practically refuses to call the manager over. Eventually the manager comes to our table. WHATS THE PROBLEM? It took 55 minutes to get our food and it's cold. . Well you should have sent it back! We are limited on time and we've already been here over an hour. Well we are busy. Then put a sign up no more customers. We can't do that and he walked away. Well F--- you customer! Hey busboy bring me a to go box. The bill for the full $65 comes. FUCK this place. No parking, cold food, poor service, rude management and no customer service. Too bad Yelp doesn't allow Zero Star ratings.

Yelp
As soon as my mom and I walked in, we were greeted by an older lady who turned out to be SO SWEET! She made us feel right at home. I have twins and we walked in with a double stroller. I think the owner was the one who suggested that we put two tables together to make room for us. We both ordered from the appetizer menu. I got the fried cheese with marinara. ..eh, I've had better but it was still pretty good. My mom had the sausage and peppers. She thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't stop talking about how great everything tasted. What i do recommend is their tea! It was fresh and didn't need to be sweetened. I think i downed about 3 glasses of it. I highly recommend this spot. They have valet and pretty good for groups. If you have a stroller as big as mine, you may want to call first so they can make arrangements to get you in the door. :)

Marissa A.

Yelp
This place was walking distance from my hotel which was perfect. The service was friendly and inviting. The food itself was okay... Cesar salad had just a few reddish greens which was not a big issue , I just moved them to the side. The marinara sauce was okay, it was a tad runny and very light for my liking. The noodles were good and the eggplant was very soft. The sever did bring out a dessert which was very thoughtful but, the cake tasted burnt in some areas. Overall, the atmosphere of the establishment was warm and inviting and the owner and staff were attentive.

Michael C.

Yelp
I order the Linguini and Clams with Red Sauce whenever I come here. It is delicious. A glass of Sangria goes well with it too. The service is also great n hospitable.

Mar O.

Yelp
I was not impressed with the food at this restaurant. My husband and I ordered a Caesar salad and a pizza to split. Our Caesar salad was so small and didn't have any parmessan cheese on it. And then the pizza came - small also. It looked liked a frozen pizza that they added a few extra olives on or something. We were still hungry after our meal. The prices were way too high for what we got. The only bonuses were that it is in walking distance from the Galleria, and the place had a nice ambiance.

Erika Z.

Yelp
This place was NOT good! I got the mushroom ravioli and it looked like ravioli from chef boyardee. The Alfredo sauce tasted like I threw up on a Saturday night. The only good thing was the wine and bread! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I was still Hungry after and had to grab whataburger.

Paige V.

Yelp
We celebrated my mom's birthday here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The service was outstanding. Our favorite dishes were the asparagus, eggplant parmigiana, and the lasagna. The owner made us feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

John N.

Yelp
The food is great and the people are even better. One of the best restaurants in Houston. I have used it for special family occasions, business lunches and for several charity events. Always first rate. Mark my words, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Mixed reviews on this restaurant. But in the end, happy experience. We went Christmas Eve with a party of 8. Kids to elders. The food: Starters: Calamari was excellent, Bruschetta was ok. Salads: several ordered salad and I'd recommend the house dressing over blue cheese which the waiter recommended Mains: we had many across the table. Pork chops were large serving that was shared with two adults and cooked perfectly. Spinach and green bean sides were yummy. Cannelloni was ok, needed more meat, was basically tubes with ricotta. Alfredo was delicious and we had it served with just chicken for one and with all the veg for another. Chicken dish was tasty but needed something... but it was good. Kids pizza was very good. Spiedini was great with just the right amount of breading. Drinks were mediocre, limited vodka choices and mixed incorrectly (ie dirty martini was just a martini). Server was ok but felt stretched. He recommended food a bit forcefully with no option to say no. Would often tell you what you were getting (ie blue cheese dressing) and before it registered he was gone. We had to ask other wait staff for items like forks, more drinks, bread, etc... Space was very tight, each of us had chairs bumping up to other parties and servers bumping our chairs as they squeezed by...

Rachel Melissa G.

Yelp
We decided to have small family celebration for my parents 30 years anniversary at Piatto. This is our first time, and i think this comfort italian food that would bring me back. So heres my overall review: Ambiance: the decor is a little but outdated, i think it deserve some refresh Food: love what they did to our appetizers- calamari- they put some lime sauce to balance out the greasiness.the shrimp and crab claw, is also actually heavy but they bring the brightness with the lemon juice. We ordered the special pizza- it was alright. Wouldn't recommend. But the shrimp bradhaw was top of the chain for us Dessert: tiramisu was too much liquor. The others cakes was just alright But yes i would come back for the appetizers and the entree.

Fran D.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place for years and finally got a chance to place a lunch order for a meatball mozzarella panini with homemade chips and salad. The panini was very disappointing. It lacked flavor. I could taste a hint of seasoning in the meatball, however I did like the texture considering some meatballs can be soggy. The most prominent taste was the sauce. Nothing special. The panini looked more like a sub than panini. Firehouse meatball and mozzarella subs remain my favorite. Larger, more flavorful and cost less.

Kim R.

Yelp
Went here for lunch one day. If you're not in a hurry and can take some extra time at lunch, this is the place. The service isn't quick... but I think it's designed like that. They don't rush you at all. I stared the famous asparagus appetizer. Let's just say... it takes asparagus to a whole new level. It was so good, that if I ever had a dream about asparagus, this would be what my dream would be about. For my meal I settled for a shrimp pasta dish that I cannot remember the name of. But it was really good. The pasta was cooked to perfection. It had a great bite to it. Oh, and the bread and garlic butter? It was so so so good. Just typing about that bread and garlic butter, makes me want some right now. Too bad my lunch break is over. While we were there the owner and his mother stopped by the table to make sure that our meal was perfect. This is a great place with great people. Go there! I know you'll love it as much as I did.

Kay M.

Yelp
We love Piatto's! We have been going to this family run restaurant ever since it opened and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious. Being of Italian descent, I know good Italian food and Piatto's is authentic Italian and excellent. The service is always top notch and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The veal marsala is the best in town. The fried asparagus appetizer is also very good. I highly recommend Piatto's!

Scarlett B.

Yelp
The atmosphere and service at Piatto is excellent. My family always enjoys dining there. We find every dish that we order to be cooked to perfection. The food is well prepared and always very delicious. I highly recommend the ASPARAGUS SPECIALI (it never disappoints) and JESSICA'S GNOCCHI with the Sugo Rosa sauce, it is very tasty! 10/10 Piatto, keep up the great job you are doing!

Warren L.

Yelp
Been to Piatto many times. Food and service is always great. Linguine Pescatore is always good. I strongly recommend the appetizer Fried Asparagus with butter sauce and crab meat, its to die for. Johnny and his staff are very attentive and always at the restaraunt.

Kayla H.

Yelp
My family and I visited here for my uncle's surprise birthday dinner. The restaurant is so cute and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place.

Lillian C.

Yelp
This restaurant should not be missed. The staff is outstanding, the food excellent, wine selection very good. We try to eat their at least weekly. We go for family gatherings, no one rushes you, they will prepare things if want to share. ALL in all just a fabulous restaurant with reasonable prices and better food than ANY other Italian restaurants and we have tried many of them.

Vlad V.

Yelp
I've passed by Piatto Ristorante on numerous occasions getting onto the feeder that takes you to I-610. It's located right before you hit the feeder so it's an interesting location. It's valet only but you know I'm not about that life. I parked at The Galleria and walked over...shh, don't tell anyone. As the name should make clear, this is an Italian restaurant. They have happy hour on both food and drinks until 6 PM. We decided to order off of the happy hour menu. There were eight or so items on the menu: appetizers and three types of pizza. I originally tried to order the arancini but they were out. Went with the bruschetta with prosciutto and a Margherita pizza. They also serve you complimentary warm bread with butter. Arancini is one of my favorite Italian starters so it was a bummer that it wasn't available. I got so full off of the bread, that I didn't even try the bruschetta but I did eat half of the pizza. It just wasn't a good pizza. It was thin crust but the crust was so crisp that it was like eating a pita chip. The tomatoes and mozzarella lacked flavor. Just not a quality pizza. Since this was my first time, I didn't try any of their pasta dishes or heartier entrees. Maybe those are better.

Jake M.

Yelp
Such good food! Went here on a Wednesday night with a group of 7 and it was not busy. Y'all are sleeping on this place! Food was amazing. Service was exceptional. Juan is so nice and very attentive!

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Amazing service and food. Our first time here and we had the best experience. Highly recommend this place. Family friendly but also a good date night. We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary here. The owner and his family are here working meeting their guest. P.S. this is only my 2nd review on Yelp so it takes a lot for me to recommend a place.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
I had the mushroom ravioli, and it was amazing! The service was excellent, the food was astounding, and the wine they recommended was magnificent.

Vivian C.

Yelp
Never disappoints! Food is alway delicious and the atmosphere allows for talking to your companion. Thursday nights with PF and the Flyers was quite a treat. We enjoyed music you can sing with. Place was full but the service was great.

Tanya C.

Yelp
Always a great choice. Whether you visit during their lunch rush or during a casual evening, this is the place to go. Close by the awesome water wall and The Galleria, this place has great atmosphere and waitstaff as well as amazing food!

Ray T.

Yelp
Always love this place. The food is always fresh and excellent! Had the Tuscan Shrimp and the wife had the Piatto Shrimp: all great so we both made excellent decisions plus we had more than enough to take home! Great atmosphere, great service and great food! An excellent place to have dinner. A Houston favorite. Our friends had the stuffed shrimp and loved it. They also have a really great CAB from Caymus called Bonanza and very well priced by the glass!

Carolyn M.

Yelp
We've patronized this restaurant for decades and it is a family favorite. We choose it when it's our turn to pick where our lunch groups will meet or to dine out with friends. Priced right, excellent service and the food is exactly as ordered - never trendy. Good wine list. We don't want spicy food or loud music or cold food when it should be hot. Enough space between the tables. They need a valet attendant, however, as we don't like parking in the garage. Any scam that floods the public with bad reviews should be ashamed to try to wreck a family-owned business where life-long Houstonians can dine out without the environment that is found at many new places. Yelp is at fault for allowing scam posts.

Navin B.

Yelp
Went there for Mother's Day ('22) and we loved the food. Service was great as well. Enjoy.

Loretta T.

Yelp
What a lovely evening! This is family in its own weird way! So happy to see this comeback! The staff & owners make me feel mattered. Please support the out of the way restaurants!

Nikki E.

Yelp
Overpriced and underwhelmed. I stopped in for lunch. It's has a very nice ambiance and vibe. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing: the beefsteak tomato and crab meat salad. I was disappointed that the tomatoes seemed run-of-the-mill grocery store ones that came from the fridge. The crab meat was canned and spartan. Also, the tomatoes and salad greens were very under-dressed with a very vinegar-forward dressing. Nothing wrong with canned crab meat but at this price point, I expected fresh crab meat and a lot more of it. The bread they provided, a homemade sourdough bread with a compounded butter, was outstanding. I would go back again, but not for lunch (as they don't have a lunch menu) and I'll avoid salads.

Ivette W.

Yelp
Never have had a bad meal at Piatto. You can request arrabiata spicy sauce which is not on the menu but they spoil you by switching it . The salads are great and they have well seasoned long time servers that will recommend items that you might like to try. Anything with Italian Sausage is one of my favorites. I love that they still opt to present a table with fresh linen that gives you a fine dinning experience. The owners might say hello and welcome you as well as thank you for stopping by. A very nice touch. Locals and tourist from nearby visiting hotels are part of the crowd. Not noisy so you can have a conversation without having to raise your voice but yet raise your glass.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Love this restaurant, everything I've tried has been fresh and delicious. I've been here with massive parties and they're able to serve everyone in sync and that's hard to do.

Bill O.

Yelp
Low key, family run and family style restaurant. All the food we had was very tasty and the wait staff was on top of everyones needs.

Annie B.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!!! Food was delicious!!!! Great portion sizes. Yummy dessert. The wait staff was incredible!

Deborah R.

Yelp
First I want to say the staff was great (until it was time to pay, then we couldn't locate a wait staff to take our payment - I know weird, right?) We had the pork chops, but one was tough and had no flavor at all, and the other was ok. The vinaigrette salad dressing was a bit overwhelming, just a little too much vinegar. Overall, I was disappointed, despite the fact that I have looked forward to trying this place for several years now. We won't return.

Tom K.

Yelp
I have enjoyed many meals in Piatto's over the past eight years; it is truly a neighborhood gem. The service is always attentive and friendly. The house signature appetizer, fried asparagus is a treat by itself. The food is great, especially the shrimp and veal selections. Be sure to try the pasta, weather as a plate or with an entrée, always done just right, el dente, never mushy, with flavorful sauces. They can handle small to large groups and you are never disappointed. Oh one final benefit, they feature convenient parking so you avoid the heavy Galleria traffic.

Judy B.

Yelp
Excellent food - fantastic service!!!!!! A Houston favorite for years!!!! PLEASE do not believe the one star rating reviews - they are fake! Johnny and his team LOVE their customers and their restaurant is fabulous!!!!

Robin A.

Yelp
Always a favorite for Italian food. Great service, consistently good food and a nice atmosphere. A regular go to for eating in or pickup. One of my long term restaurants in Houston that we love to patronize.

David G.

Yelp
Nice Italian resturant tucked away on W. Alabama St in Galleria area. Lunch weekdays has business crowd so can be a little challenged hearing..... however met some clients and starting at 11:30a is suggested as it gets packed quickly. Food selections are verse from the salads to pasta poultry to seafood dishes. I had the Triola Salad which had (6) cooked shrimp over a bed of mixed greens with vingerette dressing. Right on time for my healthy eating January campaign. What I like about this place is the owner is most of the time present and very much involved in the servicing of his clients. Class act establishment.
